Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the son of the late presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy, has announced that he is a Democrat candidate for president, running against Joe Biden in the 2024 election. Meanwhile, despite his indictment, Donald Trump leads Mr. Biden by seven percentage points, according to a recent poll.

In other news, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador strongly criticized the indictment of Donald Trump, saying that it was filed for political purposes.

Private Payrolls Rose by 145,000 in March, Well Below Expectations, ADP Says

Private sector hiring decelerated in March, flashing another potential sign that U.S. economic growth is heading for a sharp slowdown or recession, payroll processing firm ADP reported Wednesday.

Company payrolls rose by just 145,000 for the month, down from an upwardly revised 261,000 in February and below the Dow Jones estimate for 210,000.

That took first-quarter hiring to an average of just 175,000 jobs a month, down from 216,000 in the fourth quarter and a sharp reduction from the average of 397,000 in the first quarter of 2022.

Andy Ngo Reports: Portland Rock-Throwing Vandal Who Allegedly Took a Hostage is Identified as Leftist Protester

A 32-year-old Portland man was arrested on Monday after allegedly using a rock to smash up a downtown business and then later taking a hostage.

Portland Police say that David Read Haywood Everding fled the scene of the vandalism attack before being found later in the day in another part of downtown. He ran into an office building near Southwest 5th Avenue and Southwest Oak Street where he took a hostage, police say.

“Once inside, the suspect took hold of a security guard and used the guard as a shield to avoid being arrested,” police said in a statement. The hostage was eventually released unharmed before Everding was arrested.

As the Chicago Mayoral Election Proves, Blue Cities Have Become Modern-Day Jonestowns

As PJ Media’s Rick Moran reported, the Chicago mayoral runoff on April 4 went the way of the teachers unions, which drove a massive turnout campaign for their anointed radical candidate:

The Chicago Teachers Union rode a massive turnout of its members and spent millions of dollars in union dues to win Chicago’s mayoral runoff.

Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson was a beneficiary of that union largesse. His name was on the ballot, along with former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paull Vallas. Johnson won by three points.

But no one doubts who is calling the shots in Chicago — the first major American city to be a wholly owned subsidiary of a teachers union.

The only quibble one might have with Rick’s article is that the State of Oregon has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the teachers unions and SEIU since the turn of the century, so Chicago may not be able to lay claim to first-in-the-nation status. His conclusion is, however, spot on: radical leftists defeated a moderate who wanted to rein in Chicago’s laughably awful violent crime and education failures.

Biden Job Approval Near Record Lows Among Key Voter Demographics

A new poll from Fox News has revealed that Biden’s approval rating among several key voting groups is near record lows.

Among voters ages 45 and up, 41 percent approve of his job performance, compared to the low of 39 percent. This was the same for suburban voters, with 41 percent approving compared to the 39 percent low. Among suburban women specifically, Biden’s job performance is at a low of 41 percent.

Bill Gates Rejects Calls From Top Experts to ‘Pause’ AI Chatbot Development: ‘Why Stop?’

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has rejected calls from some of the world’s most renowned experts to “pause” his efforts to develop more advanced artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots.

Gates has been pushing forward with the development of new AI chatbots that are even more powerful than OpenAI’s recently unveiled ChatGPT-4.

Experts have been raising the alarm over the rapid pace that the technology is being developed as companies scramble to create more advanced AI tools without addressing the major concerns it raises.

Last week, Twitter CEO Elon Musk, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, and AI pioneer Yoshua Bengio signed an open letter signed calling for a six-month pause in developing new AI tools.

However, Gates dismissed the concerns and asserted that he will not stop advancing the technology.

Conservatives Pick Up Landslide Policy Victories in Wisconsin Election Despite Supreme Court Loss to Liberals

Democrats received a major victory in the Wisconsin statewide election on Tuesday, but conservatives wrangled overwhelming support from voters for three ballot propositions that strongly correlate with the GOP’s agenda on crime and welfare.

While control of the Wisconsin Supreme Court was handed to liberals in the Badger State election, voters provided conservatives with wins related to cash bail and welfare benefits.

Judges in Wisconsin will now be able to consider past convictions for violent crimes when setting bail for someone accused of a violent crime following a decision from voters in the state. They also will be allowed to set conditions meant to protect public safety when releasing someone before trial.

Long COVID Questioned: Study of Young People Links Symptoms to Lack of Exercise, ‘Loneliness’

Symptoms attributed to “long COVID” may have nothing to do with the coronavirus infection in adolescents and young adults, according to a new peer-reviewed study that calls into question massive federal outlays for research into the largely self-reported condition marked by fatigue, shortness of breath and brain fog.

Published Thursday in the Journal of the American Medical Association Network Open, the “prospective cohort study” tracked hundreds of Norwegians ages 12-25, not hospitalized, who underwent extensive examinations when they were tested for COVID and then again at a six-month followup.

Norwegian, Swedish, British, Chinese and Australian researchers found little difference between infected and uninfected individuals who met the World Health Organization’s definition for “post-COVID-19 condition,” the international name for long COVID, at the six-month followup.

NPR Protests as Twitter Calls it ‘State-Affiliated Media’

NEW YORK (AP) — Twitter has labeled National Public Radio as “state-affiliated media” on the social media site, a move some worried Wednesday could undermine public confidence in the news organization.

NPR said it was disturbed to see the description added to all of the tweets that it sends out, with John Lansing, its president and CEO, calling it “unacceptable for Twitter to label us this way.”

It was unclear why Twitter made the move. Twitter’s owner, Elon Musk, quoted a definition of state-affiliated media in the company’s guidelines as “outlets where the state exercises control over editorial content through financial resources, direct or indirect political pressures, and/or control over production and distribution.”

“Seems accurate,” Musk tweeted in a reply to NPR.

Retired Firefighter Pulls 2 Children, Puppy From Explosive House Fire in South Phoenix

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — A retired firefighter is being hailed as a hero after saving two children from an explosive house fire in south Phoenix Wednesday morning.

Phoenix fire crews responded to calls of a house fire with explosions near 24th Street and Southern Avenue around 7:20 a.m. As they arrived to find heavy smoke and flames on the patio and backyard, fire officials learned that it was a gas-fed fire, with accelerants making it more difficult to put out. Luckily, a hazmat unit was also dispatched to the fire and was quickly able to secure the gas line. According to Joe Huggins with the Phoenix Fire Department, a number of propane tanks being stored in the backyard had also exploded. Witnesses said they believed the family worked in party rentals.

A retired firefighter, identified as Dana Lambert, told Arizona’s Family that he was driving home from the gym when he saw smoke. When he arrived, firefighters were working to get two young girls and their puppy out of the home. Lambert tells Arizona’s Family he then climbed through the window to help get everyone out.

He said the girls were screaming and crying in their bedroom, and that the parents were not home at the time. “You don’t think about it; you assume the risk, you go in and you pull the kids out,” said Lambert.

No one was hurt. The fire remains under investigation.

Sutherland Springs Mass Shooting Victims Reach Tentative $144.5 Million Settlement With DOJ

Victims of a mass shooting that killed 26 people at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, in 2017 have reached a “tentative settlement” with the federal government for $144.5 million after years of pending civil suits, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.

The agreement, which the U.S. Department of Justice announced in a news release and which CBS News independently confirmed, came in response to a series of legal claims accusing federal officials of negligence and alleging they could have prevented the Sutherland Springs shooting but failed to do so.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland’s office still needs to approve the settlement amount before it is completely finalized. More than 75 plaintiffs involved in the settlement must also secure “the required court approvals,” according to the Justice Department, which said it has approved “an agreement in principle” to settle the cases.

He stressed that the uncertainty of COVID-19 is not different, but there are too many sources of information, particularly online, meaning doctors have to contribute and provide reliable information.

Europe Has Disarmed Itself at the Worst Possible Time

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius recently spoke out about the terrible state of the Bundeswehr during which he claimed it will take five to six years before modernizing the German military materializes.

The politician was sparse on details, but it is well known that the implosion began a decade ago under Ursula von der Leyen and continued with two other female ministers, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer and Christine Lambrecht. The three ladies had many things on their minds — refurbishing a warship in dubious conditions, building kindergartens for women’s children in the army, organizing awareness courses — but they just didn’t care about the development of the armed forces.

France: A ‘Field of Ruins’

Paris, France. March 23, 8 p.m. A demonstration took place; as usual now, riots followed the demonstration and swept through the center of the city, then to other cities. Cars were burned, shop windows smashed, garbage dumpsters set on fire. A garbage collectors’ strike began two weeks earlier; nearly ten thousand tons of garbage, still strewn on the sidewalks, almost completely block some streets. The proliferation of rats threatens disease. Oil refineries are shut down; gas stations are running dry. More demonstrations took place March 28 — and more riots.

France, once again, is on the verge of chaos.

The subject of the discontent is the adoption of a law reforming the pension system in a minimal way: the legal retirement age in France has been set at 62 since 2010; the law raises it two years, to 64.

France Won’t Hand Over Terrorists to Its EU Partners as Long as They Belong to the Radical Left

Over the past decade, France’s successive left-wing governments have banned or harassed right-wing organizations and individuals without giving evidence that they had resorted to violence or broken the law in any other way.

On the left, however, it has only just begun to act similarly toward violent and law-breaking far-left organizations. The country’s current interior minister now realizes that the authorities are losing control over those groups that had been so useful in making the Yellow Vests protests and other initially peaceful protest movements turn ugly and discrediting them in the eyes of the general public; this is how they then justified police violence of a kind unheard of in other EU countries.

Concerning France’s record of giving shelter to Italian left-wing terrorists, it must be said that Emmanuel Macron himself supported an end to the “Mitterrand doctrine.” Named after François Mitterrand, the Socialist party leader who was the president of France from 1981 to 1995, that doctrine, which was based on a simple pledge made orally by President Mitterrand in 1985, meant that France would not extradite to Italy far-left activists even if condemned in their country for violent acts committed during the “Years of Lead.”

Biden’s Coup in Israel

by Daniel Greenfield

In the early days of March, a small crowd of leftists gathered outside the U.S. consulate in Tel Aviv holding up signs reading, “Biden help!” and “Biden, Blinken, Our democracy is sinking”.

A speaker at the rally appealed to Biden to “save us from ourselves”.

The consulate rally was held under the banner of “Defend Israeli Democracy” which had organized international protests against democratic judicial reform that would have restored checks and balances. International rallies, including one in Berlin which featured women dressed as the ‘handmaids’ from the TV show and signs accusing Israel of “fascism” and being an “apartheid state”, were not speaking to Israelis, but to the international anti-Israel Left.

Clips from the Tel Aviv rally were remixed by another of the interchangeable anti-democracy groups, Yalla Tikva, urging Biden to save Israeli democracy. The operation was as slick with professional videography, editing and branding as it lacked a clear transparent structure.

Protests like these were not so much appealing to Biden as coordinating with the administration.

The anti-democracy rallies by organizations claiming to be fighting for democracy paralleled an unprecedented degree of interference from the Biden administration…

Bill Clinton: ‘Personal Stake’ in Ukraine Plight, After Agreeing to Deal Taking Away Country’s Nukes

Former President Bill Clinton appears to be expressing regret for his participation in a 1994 agreement among Russia, Ukraine and the United States that asked Ukraine to give up its nuclear weapons.

Clinton said Tuesday he feels a “personal stake” in Ukraine’s struggle to thwart Russia’s invasion, which in now roughly 14 months old, after having agreed to the roughly 30-year-old deal.

Clinton, a Democrat president from 1993 to 2001, made the acknowledgement in an interview Tuesday with RTÉ, Ireland’s National Television and Radio Broadcaster.

“I feel a personal stake because I got them [Ukraine] to agree to give up their nuclear weapons,” he said.

Clinton also said nobody believes “Russia would have pulled this stunt if Ukraine still had their weapons.”

Latvian Violinist Quits to Avoid Paying Russian Music

A Latvian violinist has decided to end her tenure at an orchestra where she worked for over a decade, after she was denied a request not to perform music by Russian composers. She argued that promoting the country’s culture is wrong amid the conflict in Ukraine.

The dispute in Latvia’s Sinfonietta Riga state chamber orchestra was revealed to the public last Friday by the ‘Culture Shock’ program on Latvian Television (LTV). The person in question is veteran musician Marta Sparnina, who has been part of the orchestra since 2009. It was founded just three years prior to her joining, with Normunds Schne serving as its artistic director since its creation.

Sparnina objected to Schne’s choice of music by Russian composers for the orchestra’s program.

India: Why Hindus Stopped ‘Taraweeh Namaz’ During Ramzan in Uttrakhand

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Haldwani | April 4, 2023:: A Hindutva mob on Monday restricted Muslims in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani from offering ‘Taraweeh Namaz’ only to stop a ‘new culture’ in the Hindu area as a tit for tat while Hindus were not allowed for Ram Navami processions in West Bengal’s Howrah (Shibpur) and Hoogly (Rishra) including many Muslim dominates places across India.

Stopping of such ‘Taraweeh Namaz’ in Hindu areas is said to be a repercussion of Hindu society as reflected in the case of the violations of Hindu Rights to take out Ramnavami Processions in many areas dominated by Muslims across India.

The disruption took place around 8.30 pm in Sarna Kothi, an area dominated by Hindus and reports came that the Hindu people also thrashed the Imam to lead Namaz despite repeated objections.

As per reports, around 50 to 60 men from the Hindutva organisation Bajrang Dal disrupted Taraweeh — special Ramzan prayers held at night during which long portions of the Quran are read by the congregation. The activists opposed the new set of Islamic programmes during Ramzan, defined as a ‘cultural invasion in Hindu areas’ bringing ‘Muslims from outside’.

A local co-ordinator of Bajrang Dal told HENB, “Muslims never allow Hindu programmes like Devi Jagran or Ram Navami rallies in their areas and even in Hindu areas. Then how do we allow them inside us to invite more troubles connecting new Mosques, madrasas, Mazars and Dargahs in Hindu areas.”

In a new trend, Muslim private houses and business places are being used as Islamic prayers and programmes for a period and then changed to mosques or Muslim Institutions for preaching fundamentalism from there.

In Sarna Kothi, the house of Advocate Zafar Siddique was used for ‘Taraweeh Namaz’ during this Ramzan month. Local Bajrang Dal leader Mukesh Bhat objected to such ‘lengthy’ noise of Taraweeh prayer and the presence of many ‘unknown’ outsiders in Hindu areas frightening the Hindu girls and women of the area.

However, Advocate Siddique claimed that police officials were present during the attack and accused the administration of supporting the mob. But, the agitating Hindutv people raised their voices against the incriminating proliferation of radical Islam in the Hindu localities and the State.

Nanital Senior Superintendent of Police Pankaj Bhatt told the media that a case has been filed against those who opposed the prayers under Indian Penal Code Sections 147 (rioting), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) based on a complaint from Muslims of the area. The probe is going on.

Midjourney AI Program Bans Criticism of CCP Leader Xi

The founder and CEO of AI image generator Midjourney has recently come out in favor of censorship, seeming to suggest that he would exempt Chinese President Xi Jinping from the AI tool’s capabilities in order to maintain the company’s status in China.

Xi is widely considered to be among the most oppressive and authoritarian leaders in the world, and MidJourney’s David Holz has made known that he would restrict the use of Xi’s image on the site, including a few other prohibitions that he has reportedly not made public, according to TechDirt. The outlet reported that Xi is someone who is “most deserving of political skewering and mockery,” but that this will not be possible, as far as Midjourney is concerned.

The Washington Post reported that Midjourney, a San Francisco-based company that is just a year old, will apparently allow images to be generated of “President Biden, Vladimir Putin of Russia and other world leaders — but not China’s president, Xi Jinping.”

Mexico’s President Slams Trump Arrest, But Most World Leaders Silent

Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador on Wednesday slammed the history-making charges against former President Trump, but as U.S. politics is consumed by the indictment, most world leaders have been largely silent on the issue.

Trump was booked Tuesday on 34 felony counts of fabricating business records related to a hush money payment made shortly before the 2016 election to an adult film actress who alleged an affair.

The former president has blasted the charges, which make him the first-ever current or former U.S. president to be indicted, and called the case a witch hunt meant to thwart his third White House run.

López Obrador spoke Wednesday, doubling down on comments he made last month before charges against Trump were announced and saying the case is political.

“Supposedly legal issues should not be used for electoral, political purposes,” López Obrador said. “That’s why I don’t agree with what they are doing to ex-President Trump.”

“It should be the people who decide,” he added.

The group is moving to essentially ban Fox News in Canada, after host Tucker Carlson featured the group on his program.

An open letter from the group states “The coverage aimed to provoke hatred and violence against 2SLGBTQI communities, particularly those who are Two Spirit, trans, nonbinary and gender non-conforming (2STNBGN).”

You Never Thought it Would Look Like This

Imagine explaining to George Orwell that this is what the aesthetics of the dystopia would really look like.

  1. RENT CRISIS seems to be caused by a general attack on property investors by socialist government. Attacks have been by demands for expensive maintenance and requirements, increased tenants rights and land taxes. Socialism is determined that people should only own the house they live in. This will mean government will have to provide housing for renters which will allow for lots of rorting in administration of same.

  2. Robert F Kennedy Jr is an honest and principled man. I have read his book “The Real Dr Fauci” and it is a devastating indictment of that evil man. He cannot sue, because the book is meticulous and fully backed up by documented sources.

For this reason, there is absolutely no chance that RFK will be adopted as the Democrat candidate.

    • Honest and principled. You are right, he doesn’t have a chance. I also read his book. I highly recommend it.

    • The problem with Kennedy is that he supports the Globull Warming Hoax and that he is a skirt chaser like the rest of the Kennedy crime family men. He is NOT honest or principled. He was having an affair with his present wife while cheating on his previous wife Mary. She was so distraught over his affair and his filing for divorce that she hanged herself.

He’s a typical democrat like Bill Clinton.

  3. Hello. I have a question for the Americans. One so-called migrant “human rights activist” who used to promote replacement migration was deported from Russia. After spending some time in Armenia, she received asylum in Urbana, Illinois.
Can you tell me what is in this Urbana?

    • I don’t know anything special about Urbana. It’s an average Midwest city. It has a university, but then, so do a lot of other Midwestern cities.

  4. Warehousing orcs on a barge in England isn’t a bad idea. Only problem is that one is too small; only five hundred of the nasty buggers will fit in it. Just need to get another thousand or so barges to house the rest of them, perhaps lure them on board with rumors of Swedish girls to rape, then tow the whole lot out to sea and open the sea cocks. The resulting wrecks will make ideal habitat for the UK fishing industry.

Perhaps a few deluxe barges could also be provided to lure upper-class invaders like Rishi Sunak and Priti Patel out to sea.

    • I heard that you can put even more people on cruise ships.
Tell them, they get a free cruise (free food, alcohol and more women they can imagine) and then send the ship to Mogadishu.

And if the ship hasnt had any safety inspection and turned into a soulseller (someone suggested floating coffin – ship where with every voyage you expect it to sink) – inspections costs money and with all the “people” hired for diversity, Inclusion, LGBT… we had to save money somewhere else, so sorry.

It is now Maundy Thursday all year round.

We must stop talking about “the free world”.

    By Lars Hedegaard / snaphanen.dk

Maundy Thursday is perhaps an appropriate time to look at the events of recent decades from a broader perspective than we are used to.

What has really happened since the end of the Second World War in 1945? What fundamental changes can be identified that will have consequences far into the future?

At first glance, many will probably emphasize the end of the Cold War in 1989-1991 with the collapse of the Soviet empire and the apparent victory of the American West over communism and the hope for a free and democratic future that this brought. But this was not to be. As the war in Ukraine shows, the conflict between the US and NATO on the one hand and the successor to the Soviet Union, Russia and its allies, on the other, is alive and well. The détente of the 1990s proved to be a short-lived respite, and today the Cold War has been replaced by a hot war.

Moreover, the collapse of the Soviet Union was not a sign of the triumph of freedom over communism. On the contrary, year after year the rabid left has strengthened its influence in the West, which is now controlled by the far left. Whether the proponents of this left call themselves socialists, liberals or even conservatives is of no real political significance. It is the actions that should be scrutinized, not the marketing.

A sober look at what the old communists in the Kremlin called the “balance of power” shows that an increasingly rabid left controls all the major institutions of society: the media, educational institutions, the dominant giant corporations and capital concentrations, the judiciary, the public administration and the vast majority of political parties – whatever they call themselves. In Denmark, for example, it makes little difference whether one or the other ‘bloc’ is in government.

The left’s almost total control of the state and the main international institutions such as the EU, NATO, the UN and the WHO means that we must stop talking about the ‘free world’. The countries that once adorned themselves with this name increasingly resemble the world that was once called unfree.

Take the United States, where the ruling left, including parts of the Republican Party, is undermining democracy and the rule of law. A populist uprising led by Donald Trump has been crushed and its leaders arrested on false charges. Up to half of the US population may try to resist the tyrannical government, but the prospects are not good.

El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele made the most telling comment on recent events in the US a few days ago. On Twitter, he wrote the following:

“You can think what you want about former President Trump and the reasons for his impeachment. But imagine if this had happened in any other country where a government arrested the leading opposition candidate. America’s ability to use “democracy” as a foreign policy is gone.”

To consolidate its power, the left has shown itself willing to use any means – legal or illegal. Among the most important of these has been the forced disintegration of national populations through unlimited immigration of foreigners who are guaranteed never to “integrate” and who will therefore continue to serve as clients and voting cattle for the state.

Unfortunately, we are facing difficult times.

    • By the way, yes. Recently, in one telegram channel, they discussed the beating of disgruntled people in France by the police.
And one woman from Ukraine wrote: And where is Victoria Nuland with cookies? (A reference to 2014 when she handed out cookies to Maidan protesters)

Democracy, but not for all democracy.
