As DeSantis Takes on Woke Universities, Key Supporter Gives Harvard $300 Million

Even as Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis continues to galvanize conservatives with his efforts to combat woke political indoctrination in public schools and universities, his largest donor last election cycle is making headlines for a colossal donation to Harvard University.

Harvard announced this week that hedge fund billionaire and GOP megadonor Ken Griffin had donated $300 million to the school’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The university, in turn, intends to rename its Graduate School of Arts and Sciences after him. A graduate of Harvard, Griffin is the CEO of Citadel investing firm.

The fabulously wealthy Ivy League university is one of the nation’s elite educational institutions, but has also earned notoriety for the extent to which woke social causes and ideologies have permeated its instruction and admissions policies.

The university termed Griffin’s donation an “unrestricted gift,” indicating that he imposed no conditions on how the school may use the funds.

Embattled Soros-Backed Prosecutor, Facing Missouri AG Effort to Oust Her, Now Gets 2024 Challenger

The George Soros-bankrolled prosecutor in St. Louis who’s facing a legal effort by Missouri’s attorney general to fire her for allegedly neglecting her duties now has another hurdle to overcome: A challenger for next year’s election who similarly claims the incumbent isn’t doing her job.

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner is in a legal fight to hold onto her position as Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey seeks to fire her, claiming the prosecutor isn’t enforcing the law and protecting public safety.

With Gardner under mounting pressure, criminal defense attorney David Mueller announced this week that he’ll run for St. Louis circuit attorney, making him the first person to challenge the Soros-backed incumbent.

Exclusive: Trump Releases Video Ripping ‘Weaponization’ of US Justice System

Former President Donald Trump will release a video Thursday slamming the “weaponization” of the U.S. justice system, the Daily Caller has learned.

“There is no more dire threat to the American way of life than the corruption and weaponization of our justice system. And it’s happening all around us. If we cannot restore the fair and impartial rule of law, we will not be a free country. As President, it will be my personal mission to restore the scales of justice in America. We want fairness and equality under the law. And to that end, I will appoint US attorneys, who will be the polar opposite of the Soros, district attorneys and others that are being appointed throughout the United States, very unfair to our population very unfair to our country. They will be the 100 most ferocious legal warriors against crime and communist corruption that this country has ever seen. As we completely overhaul the Federal Department of Justice and FBI, we will also launch sweeping civil rights investigations into boxes, local district attorneys, and that’s why we have. They are Marxists in many cases.,” Trump said in the video.

Ex-Obama Staffer Spills Beans on Joe Biden

A former Obama administration staffer blew the whistle on President Joe Biden and his son Hunter regarding the Biden family business, trading access for cash.

Mike McCormick was a stenographer for the White House for 15 years. Mike said on Fox News: “In February, I went to the FBI and filed one of their tips on their website. If you do that, and you’re lying to them, you go to jail. I’m not lying. I’m telling the truth, and I’m not going to jail.

“Joe Biden is a criminal. He was conducting malfeasance in office to enrich his family. Jake Sullivan is a conspirator in that, and there’s more Obama officials involved in it, I believe.”

Global Disinformation Index Withholds Information on Its Own Operations

Authored by Jonathan Turley

Gabe Kaminsky at the Washington Examiner is reporting that two U.S. nonprofit groups tied to the Global Disinformation Index are withholding information on their operations to protect staff and donors.

The redactions of names from 2021 IRS tax returns is being justified on the basis that the GDI is being harassed by critics. It is an ironic move since, as discussed in earlier columns, the GDI targeted and blacklisted conservative groups to drain them of revenue and support.

As discussed earlier, the British group ranked sites to warn people about high-risk disinformation sites. The ten most dangerous disinformation sites turned out to be conservative publications or Internet sites like Reason. Conversely, HuffPost made the top list of the most trustworthy for potential advertisers.

Guardsman Arrested in Leak of Classified Military Documents

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Massachusetts Air National Guard member was arrested Thursday in connection with the disclosure of highly classified military documents about the Ukraine war and other top national security issues, an alarming breach that has raised fresh questions about America’s ability to safeguard its most sensitive secrets.

The guardsman, an IT specialist identified as 21-year-old Jack Teixeira, was taken into custody without incident after FBI officers converged on his Massachusetts home. Attorney General Merrick Garland said he is to be charged with removing or transmitting classified national defense information, a crime under the Espionage Act.

Garland did not reveal a possible motive, but accounts of those in the online private chat group where the documents were disclosed have depicted Teixeira as motivated more by bravado than ideology.

After the first year, fees for iOS and Android will drop to 15%, and Twitter will “add a small amount on top of that, depending on volume.”

Twitter will also help to promote the work of content creators, with the goal being “to maximize creator prosperity.”

‘Soros-Backed’ Texas DA Accused of Evidence Tampering, Witness Retaliation in Army Sgt. Self-Defense Murder Case

Lawyers for Army Sergeant Daniel Perry accused Travis County District Attorney José Garza of tampering and retaliation against a detective witness. They say the district attorney prevented the detective from presenting evidence to the grand jury supporting Perry’s self-defense claim in the alleged murder of a protester in Austin. The accusation resurfaced on Thursday in a letter from the defense attorneys to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. Texas Governor Greg Abbott recently asked the board to consider a recommendation for a pardon.

Defense attorneys F. Clinton Broden and Doug O’Connell sent a letter to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles to present evidence in support of the governor’s requested pardon recommendation. Governor Abbott made the request on April 8 following the conviction by a Travis County jury of murder in the Daniel Perry self-defense trial, Breitbart Texas reported. The letter from the defense team (attached below) reveals exculpatory evidence that was not allowed to be presented to the jury by the trial judge.

The letter resurfaces a previously made accusation that Travis County DA Garza tampered with evidence prepared by the lead investigator during the time leading up to the grand jury hearing. A motion requesting an evidentiary hearing regarding the initial allegation was denied by the trial judge. The judge denied the evidentiary hearing request but did not rule on the merits of the allegations, Fox 7 reported.

“As the Board will no doubt learn, the lead detective in this case was forbidden by the Travis County District Attorney from mentioning a great deal of exculpatory evidence to the grand jury which considered the case in the first instance,” the attorneys wrote. While acknowledging the DA is not required to present exculpatory evidence to the grand jury, the defense team added, “there is a very clear legal distinction between choosing not to present exculpatory information to a grand jury and tampering with the testimony of a grand jury witness by shaping that witness’s testimony as to what that witness is allowed to say under fear of reprisals.”

The California Agency That Has Gone So Rogue Even Newsom Can’t Control it

California’s Civil Rights Department was once committed to ensuring safe, harassment-free workplaces. Now it’s the department itself that’s doing the harassing.

The state legislature created CRD in the 1950s. Back then, it was called the Division of Fair Employment and Practices, and its mission was to mediate disagreements between workers and employers. These days, the agency skips mediation and moves directly to warfare — hiring private law firms to sue California companies and funding its operations from the resulting million-dollar settlements. That strategy often deprives plaintiffs of the money you might suppose they’re entitled to. Just as bad, CRD has tried to block settlements mediated by the federal government, delaying cash payments to California workers in workplace cases.

U.S. Identifies Suspect Who Allegedly Leaked Secret Pentagon Documents as Jack Teixeira

Washington — Federal law enforcement officials have identified the person suspected of leaking secret defense and intelligence documents that have circulated online for weeks, three U.S. officials tell CBS News.

The officials confirmed the suspect is a man named Jack Teixeira. The New York Times, which first revealed his name Thursday, reported that he is a 21-year-old member of the 102nd Intelligence Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard.

The report in The New York Times came hours after a story in The Washington Post detailed a small online community on the platform Discord where the documents appeared to have first been shared by the group’s leader. Earlier reporting by Bellingcat traced the documents’ supposed path from that server, known as Thug Shakers Central, to a larger Discord community. They began appearing on 4chan, Twitter and Russian Telegram channels last week, when they first came to the attention of U.S. officials.

The Post said the person who first shared the documents was known to fellow members as “OG” and worked on a military base. Other members of the group told the Post that OG was not motivated by politics or ideology, and did not expect the documents to be shared outside the Discord community.

President Biden said during his visit to Dublin on Thursday that investigators were close to identifying a suspect.

Video: Rubio Boils Down Everything Wrong With Biden’s America in 2 Mins

In a powerful appearance on Hannity, Senator Marco Rubio boiled down everything that is wrong with America today under Joe Biden, labelling his administration an “incompetent band of fools,” and noting that the world hasn’t been this dangerous for 80 years.

“We have a president that can barely put together complete sentences, appears incoherent, oftentimes doesn’t even know where he is in many cases in some of these places that allowed spy balloons to be flown over our head, that abandoned billions of dollars of American military equipment left over into the hands of the Taliban and spends all day talking about electric vehicles and solar panels that he knows we’re going to have to buy from China,” Rubio asserted.

The Senator added that under Biden, the justice system “indicts political opponents,” and attempts to “infiltrate sources to spy on Catholic churches” but at the same time allows criminals to destroy the largest U.S. cities.

Teixeira was identified by the NY Times ahead of his arrest at his home in Dighton, Mass Thursday afternoon. Television footage appeared to show armed personnel leading a male wearing red shorts and a green short with his hands cuffed behind his back, the WSJ reports.

Two police cruisers from the town of Dighton were blocking the road near a residence associated with Mr. Teixeira. They declined to speak about why they had blocked the road. A row of people who say they lived on the street were waiting to pass.

One neighbor said the police began blocking off the street around noon. At least one vehicle outside the police blockade had U.S. government license plates. —WSJ

Update(1255ET): The New York Times says it knows the identity of the leaker of a trove of classified US intelligence documents which has been subject of widespread reporting this week. The Times says he’s a 21-year old member of the Air National Guard.

Canada’s Government Directly Leaned on Social Media Platforms to Censor News and Tweets

Documents that have become available recently and reports based on them, say that in Canada, too, the government is effectively trying to pressure social media sites to remove certain news articles — but apparently, at least in one case, without success.

The case relates to links to a Toronto Sun article that has not been named, and the “request” for censorship came from the the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada in September 2021.

The board is considered an independent body, but it reports to Canada’s parliament via the immigration minister. The claim made against the article was that it featured “serious errors of fact risking” — and furthermore, it is alleged that this would undermine public confidence in the board’s real or purported independence, and of trust in the system handling refugees.

Poilievre Says ‘Jail Not Bail’ as Canadian Cities Hit With Crime Wave

Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre is wondering “what’s happening to our cities” following a string of violent attacks and stabbings across Edmonton and Calgary.

Speaking from Edmonton on Thursday afternoon, Poilievre attributed the crime wave to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s “costly coalition with the NDP” and their policies that allow the same repeat violent offenders loose on the street to “terrorize innocent people.”

“We’ve got to replace these crazy catch-and-release crime policies with a common sense criminal justice reform, and that’s exactly what a Pierre Poilievre government will do,” he said.

Premiers in Western Provinces Slam Trudeau Government for Suggesting Federal Takeover of Natural Resources

OTTAWA (LifeSiteNews) — Three western Canadian premiers blasted the suggestion by one of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s ministers that the federal government could take control of a province’s natural resources, calling the idea “dangerous” for national unity.

In a joint letter released yesterday to Trudeau, Premiers Danielle Smith of Alberta, Scott Moe of Saskatchewan, and Heather Stefanson of Manitoba wrote that he needs to “tell Canadians today that federal Justice Minister David Lametti was not speaking on behalf of the federal government when he said he would look at rescinding the 1930 Natural Resources Transfer Agreements with the Prairie provinces and strip away their constitutional authority and control over natural resources.”

“The prime minister needs to immediately retract these dangerous and divisive comments by his justice minister,” they added.

The premiers wrote that the agreements in place since 1930 giving the provinces full autonomy over their natural resources “recognized the Prairie provinces with the same rights over resources that all other provinces already had.”

Teen Fatally Stabbed on Bus Was on Way Home, Mom Was Waiting

Police still searching for killer of teenage boy stabbed on Surrey bus

Homicide investigators are working to identify a suspect after a 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed on a bus in Surrey.

Ethan Bespflug was riding transit when the altercation occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. The teen later died in hospital.

“Ethan did not deserve this,” says his aunt, Andrea Van Der Gracht on a GoFundMe page.

Van Der Gracht says Bespflug was on his way home when the attack happened.

“Ethan was a young, bright loved boy, unarmed and now his mother will forever be waiting for him to get off that bus,” she says. “He woke up and went to school in the morning and never came back.”

The bus was close to the King George SkyTrain Station at the time of the stabbing.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over the investigation and believes this was an isolated incident with “no connection to the Lower Mainland gang conflict”.

IHIT’s Sgt. Timothy Pierotti says the investigation is still in the early stages and they are trying to determine if the two knew each other.

“We are still working to identify a suspect, therefore, we cannot confirm any relationship they may have with the victim,” he says.

Catholics Now Outnumber Protestants in Northern Ireland

There are now more Catholics than Protestants living in Northern Ireland, according to the most recent national census data, with a 42.3 percent share of Catholics to 30.5 percent Protestants, and a low 8.2 percent of inhabitants identifying as non-Christian religious.

As Statista’s Anna Fleck details below, this is in contrast to when the country was first formed back in 1921. Intended to be a Protestant majority nation, six counties had been partitioned from Ireland, based on religious data from the 1911 census. Then, 34.4 percent of what would be Northern Ireland was Catholic and 61.4 percent was Protestant, a ratio of 1:2.

Just over 100 years later, the switch has finally happened, which according to The Guardian was anticipated due to Catholic birth rates being higher.

Climate Activists Pour Oily Liquid at German FDP Party HQ

Alongside the demonstration on Thursday, Last Generation activists put up posters seeking to shame the neoliberal Free Democratic Party (FDP) for its support of diesel-powered vehicles.

The demonstration follows after FDP’s opposition last month to the EU’s proposition to stop the sales of new petrol and diesel cars from 2035. Activists have said on Twitter that they aimed to draw attention to the “destruction of our livelihoods.”

It was reported that the oil-like substance could be washed off with water.

Which other locations were targeted?

More than 20 buildings of company and party headquarters and lobbying associations in Berlin were targets of a coordinated “spring rebellion” on Thursday. Bayer, BP, Shell and Deutsche Bank were among the companies affected, according to protesters.

The demonstrations were a cooperation between the German climate group Last Generation and the international Extinction Rebellion and Scientist Rebellion. Last week, Last Generation activists blocked key roads around the German city of Hamburg, causing kilometers-long traffic jams.

A total of 38 percent of Ukrainians who have fled to Poland during the ongoing conflict with Russia plan to stay in Poland indefinitely, according to a recent survey.

This data contrasts markedly with that of October 2022, when only 17 percent of Ukrainians said they planned to stay in Poland rather than return to Ukraine. In March, 55 percent were committed to returning home, with over four in five of those planning to do so only once the war was over.

Hersh: CIA Knows Zelensky & Top Generals Are Skimming Hundreds of Millions in US Aid

Authored by Dave DeCamp via AntiWar.com

On Wednesday, Investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published a report on Substack that alleged the CIA was aware of widespread corruption in Ukraine and the embezzlement of US aid.

The report said the Ukrainian government has been using US taxpayer money to purchase diesel from Russia to fuel its military. Hersh said Zelensky “has been buying the fuel from Russia, the country with which it, and Washington, are at war, and the Ukrainian president and many in his entourage have been skimming untold millions from the American dollars earmarked for diesel fuel payments.”

Hersh said according to one estimate by CIA analysts, at least $400 million in funds were embezzled last year. Sources told Hersh that Ukrainian officials are also “competing” to set up front companies for export contracts to private arms dealers around the world.

The issue of corruption was raised during a meeting between CIA Director William Burns and Zelensky in January. An intelligence official with direct knowledge of the meeting told Hersh that Burns delivered a stunning message to Zelensky.

Putin Responsible for Death of Polish President Kaczynski in 2010, Says Former Georgian President Saakashvili

The Smolensk air disaster in 2010, which took the life of then Polish President Lech Kaczynski and 95 others, was Russian President Vladimir Putin’s revenge for Kaczynski’s defiant visit of Tbilisi ahead of the Russian invasion of Georgia, former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has claimed.

In an article received by Saakashvili’s U.S. legal counsel, Massimo F. D’Angelo, and published by Politico, Saakashvili, who is currently in prison in his homeland, maintained that Putin personally was responsible for the former Polish president’s death.

“Putin killed him, and now he is killing me,” the former Georgian president wrote, referring to both Kaczynski and his own recent plight. Saakashvili is currently serving six years for abuse of power and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily injury.

Russian Mine Explodes Near Control Room at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant: Ukraine

A Russian mine exploded near the generator room of the vast Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, Ukraine’s state operator Energoatom said on Thursday.

Ukraine claimed on Thursday that a Russian mine exploded near the control room of the fourth power unit at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

“The Russian occupiers continue to turn the Zaporizhzhia NPP into a military base, mining the perimeter around the station. And these actions cannot but have consequences. According to sources, an explosion rang out near the engine room of the 4th power unit,” a statement by the administration of the city of Enerhodar said on Telegram.

The statement further claimed that the sounds of the explosion were heard by Ukrainian nuclear workers who continue to work at the plant, but that Russians tried to “pacify” the workers and quickly “cover their tracks” so that experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) would not see.

Among the more interesting content to come out of the trove of Pentagon document leaks is a Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) assessment which says the US doesn’t expect there to be any peace talks between Russia and Ukraine until at least 2024.

The DIA document forecasts that even in a scenario of Ukraine regaining a “significant” amount of territory back and with “unsustainable losses on Russian forces,” this would not lead to peace talks.

Pakistan: BOL News Marketing Head Akash Ram Abducted by Suspected Islamists in Karachi

No Coverage in mainstream Pakistani Media to hide the ugly face of Human Rights Violations in Pakistan.

Seema Sahani | HENB | Karachi | April 13, 2023:: Three days back, Mr. Akash Ram, the Marketing Manager of BOL TV and News Network has been kidnapped by Islamist Criminals from his house in Karachi along with two of his house workers and a building caretaker by the suspected Islamist Criminals.

BOL TV has been working with an impartial stand to report the repression of minorities in Pakistan and that is not liked by the fundamental outfits there.

In a press conference, Sami Ibrahim, the Chairman of BOL TV and News Network condemned such kidnapping of his company’s Marketing Manager Akash Ram, and narrated the matter as a gross human rights violation in Pakistan.

Ibrahim highlighted the recurring attacks on BOL TV by the miscreants mentioning the kidnapping of the company’s Manager Nabeel Jakhura last year. “They are following our journalists and they also went to the house of our co-chairman Shoaib Shiekh. Our finance people and marketing people are being followed and a couple of weeks back our staff stopped them but then they were allowed to go. Three days back Akash Ram, who is the head of the marketing department of BOL TV, some unknown people entered his house forcibly and dragged him out, put him in a small truck, and took him away. Besides that they also picked up three more people, one was a cook, the other was a guard, and another guy who was the caretaker of the building, a 25-year-old, a patient of diabetics, we don’t know whether he is getting his medicine or not. I decided to hold this press conference, when I heard the appeal of the mother of Akash Ram, She was crying. It really touched my heart. She is a Hindu by religion. She was appealing to the Chief justice. She was appealing to the Army Chief and she was saying, Oh Muslims, I swear in the name of Allah, please return my son…” An emotional Ibrahim narrated his feelings on Akash’s kidnapping.

In a video published by Narain Das Bheel, a Hindu activist in Pakistan’s Sindh as uploaded to his Twitter handle, the condition of the mother of Akash was seen just in a disaster as saying, ‘Though we are Hindus, even we are Pakistani. Please return my son without delay.”

Interestingly enough, the mainstream media in Pakistan just censored the news of such an attack on the press and media is considered the fourth pillar of democracy. It just proves that there is no democracy or human rights in Islamic Pakistan. Attacks on minority Hindus in Pakistan are not an issue before anybody as it appears.

And international media agencies like BCC, Reuters, CNN, AFP, AF, DW, New York Times, Washington Posts, etc., and selective Human Rights agencies like Amnesty, Human Rights Watch, UN Human rights, etc. are just functioning as the stooge of Islamists in Pakistan by a huge payment of Islamic Monetary Fund as distributed by the Arab World!

DOJ Asks Conservative Supreme Court to Intervene in Abortion Pill Case

It sure is complicated to run the country when you don’t have a Soros-funded DA making the decisions.

A few days after liberals were shocked when a Texas judge suspended the FDA’s approval of abortion pill mifepristone — a drug which was approved by the FDA more than two decades ago but which abortion opponents now contend is unsafe — in a decision which was promptly appealed by Biden’s Department of Weaponized Justice, overnight the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals partially stayed the ruling, instead ordering that while mifepristone could remain an option for patients, it could no longer be prescribed after the seventh week of pregnancy or dispensed by mail.

So in a somewhat self-defeating move, Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland — who himself would have been a Supreme Court Justice had Republicans not blocked his appointment — said the Biden administration will ask the US Supreme Court to protect the availability the abortion pill after the appeals court cleared the way for new restrictions to take effect Friday.

big and macabre HUMOR for the whole thing.

Pastor preached against cultural Marxism – now the church’s contribution can be withdrawn

Published on April 14, 2023 in Fria Tider

The free church Furuhöjdskyrkan in Alunda risks losing its subsidies after its pastor preached against cultural Marxist “lies” about gender and marriage.
    – You will hear something completely different at school. I know I won’t be popular when I say this.

This is how Pastor Lukas Ternborg began his admonition about political correctness during a service at Furuhöjdskyrkan in January.

Addressing the confirmation students in the church, he noted that they were ‘being fed lies’.

    – There are lies about gender. The Bible is clear. There is one man, there is one woman, created by God in the image of God to belong together. These are lies about marriage. The Bible’s view of marriage is clear. It is between a man and a woman.

The pastor’s sermon, which was posted on the church’s YouTube channel, has sparked strong left-wing anger after being shared on social media.

    – “People say I’m stupid and sick in the head. Other members are being told that they should be kicked in the groin. I’m happy to meet people and talk about this, but it doesn’t work to respond on social media,” Lukas Ternborg told Upsala Nya Tidning.

He stands by what he said during his sermon.

Ternborg told the newspaper Dagen that he is “confident” that he has stuck to the church’s statutes and “to a classic Christian interpretation of the Bible”.

Östhammar municipality has previously paid association grants to Furuhöjdskyrkan, but this may now be over. Due to the current incident, the municipality has decided that politicians rather than officials should decide on further grants to the church, writes Dagen.

Furuhöjdskyrkans preschool Smulan will now also be examined.

In addition, the Swedish church in Alunda has decided to no longer allow confirmation students to make study visits to Furuhöjdskyrkan and risk having to hear what the pastor said.

    – We want all our confirmation students to feel safe and welcome during their confirmation time. Based on the sermon at our last study visit, we do not feel that we can guarantee this at the study visits, says Micaela Clasdotter at the Church of Sweden to Dagen.
