Key Fed Inflation Measure Rose 0.6% in January, More Than Expected

A measure the Federal Reserve watches closely to gauge inflation rose more than expected in January, indicating the central bank has more work to do to bring down prices.

The personal consumption expenditures price index excluding food and energy increased 0.6% for the month, and was up 4.7% from a year ago, the Commerce Department reported Friday. Wall Street had been expecting respective readings of 0.5% and 4.4%. The core PCE gains were 0.4% and 4.6% in December.

Including the volatile food and energy components, headline inflation increased 0.6% and 5.4% respectively, compared to 0.2% and 5.3% in December.

Markets fell following the report, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average off around 500 points in morning trading.

Alex Jones, the highly controversial radio show host who is facing bankruptcy proceedings after being ordered to pay nearly $1 billion to the families of Sandy Hook shooting victims, is claiming the Biden administration is considering making him sell his family’s cat in order to pay part of the massive fines.

Jones made the claim in a video posted to Twitter this week, saying that he appeared at a bankruptcy hearing earlier this week and that the U.S. Department of Justice spent “five minutes” discussing the possible fate of his family cat, a Ragdoll named Mooshu.

The best-selling spiritual author, who also ran in the 2020 Democrat primary, has a huge following that could be trouble for Biden.

California School District Presentation Divides Students Into Categories of ‘Privilege’ or ‘Oppression’

Students at a California school district were given a presentation on oppression that listed types of people who would be considered part of a privileged “non-target group” or an oppressed “target group.”

Acalanes Union High School District (AUHSD) Director of Student Support, Equity and Inclusion Dr. Lynna McPhatter-Harris reportedly presented student leadership in the district with a worksheet that broke down different characteristics and attributes that could mean someone is either privileged or oppressed, according to an anonymous tip by a district parent and a photo of the worksheet that was reportedly passed out during the presentation and obtained by Fox News Digital.

The oppression worksheet was divided into four different categories, “Type of Oppression,” “Variable,” “Non-Target Groups (Privilege)” and “Target Groups (Oppression).”

California Gov. Newsom’s Latest War on Oil is Off to a Rough Start

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s plan to limit oil companies’ profits was met with criticism by Democrats, Republicans and experts alike at a state hearing earlier this week.

During the hearing — hosted Wednesday by the state’s Senate Committee on Energy, Utilities and Communications — experts balked at a proposal to punish oil exploration and refining companies with a financial penalty if found to increase gasoline prices “excessively.” The hearing was held to consider SBX1-2, legislation backed by Newsom and proposed by Democratic state Sen. Nancy Skinner in December.

DeSantis Slams Corporate Media for Pushing False ‘Insurrection’ Narrative, Ignoring BLM Riots

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has slammed America’s corporate media for its blatant hypocrisy.

DeSantis took aim at the media during a press conference Thursday.

He was speaking to the press about his new legislative push taking action against illegal immigration amid Democrat President Joe Biden’s ongoing crisis at the southern border.

The governor blasted the Democrats and their allies in the corporate media trying to frame the event at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, as an “insurrection.”

He called out the hypocrisy of the same media outlets pushing the false “insurrection” narrative after ignoring the violent far-left Black Lives Matter riots of 2020 that destroyed communities across America.

Fragment of 1,000-Pound Meteor That Exploded Over Texas Could Reveal New Insights About Our Solar System

A chunk from the fireball meteor that exploded on Feb. 15 has been recovered. Other fragments of the hefty space rock were likely showered across the nearby area.

A hefty meteor weighing around the same as a grand piano recently exploded in the skies above Texas, potentially showering the surrounding area with smaller fragments. One of these meteorite chunks has already been recovered and could help reveal more about our cosmic neighborhood, experts say.

The meteor, which was likely a small asteroid, entered Earth’s atmosphere on Feb. 15 at around 5 p.m. CST and broke apart in a burst of flames about 21 miles (33.8 kilometers) above the city of McAllen. This type of space rock is known as a fireball meteor because of the bright flash given off as it breaks apart, due to friction between the fast-moving object and the air in the atmosphere.

“Based on analysis of preliminary information from several sources, NASA experts believe the object was a meteoroid about two feet [0.6 meters] in diameter weighing about 1,000 pounds [454 kilograms],” representatives from NASA’s Meteor Watch wrote on Facebook (opens in new tab). The meteor was traveling at around 27,000 mph (43,450 km/h) when it exploded and released the equivalent energy of around 8 tons (7.3 metric tons) of TNT, they added.

Judge Appointed in Missouri Case to Remove Dem Attorney Kim Gardner From Office

The Missouri Supreme Court on Friday appointed Judge John P. Torbitzky of the Eastern District of Missouri Court of Appeals to adjudicate the legal action by state’s attorney general to remove St. Louis circuit attorney Kim Gardner from her post because she neglected the duties of her office.

Attorney General Andrew Bailey on Thursday filed a petition quo warranto, which is the legal mechanism under state law that allows the attorney general to remove a prosecutor who neglects his or her duties. Bailey will have to show Judge Torbitzky that Gardner neglected her duties and should be removed, and the decision is up to Torbitzky.

Bailey claims that Gardner was negligent, particularly in a prosecution case against 21-year-old Daniel Riley, who had been out on bail after violating his bond multiple times. Over the weekend, Riley struck teenager Janae Edmondson, who had been visiting St. Louis with her family on Saturday to play in a volleyball tournament.

This week the forewoman in the Georgia grand jury inquiry into President Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election made clear during several media interviews that the former president and his associates faced an absolutely biased jury.

In a series of media interviews, 30-year-old Atlanta-area resident, Emily Kohrs, who served as the forewoman of the special grand jury for eight months, was giddy with excitement over the ‘not short’ list of indictment recommendations that would be handed down, and that there would be no “plot twist” when the public finally gets to see their findings — particularly regarding “the big name that everyone keeps asking me about” (Trump), about which she said “I don’t think you will be shocked.”

Pentagon Blew More Than $1.5 Million Shooting Down Harmless ‘UFOs’

The Pentagon blew more than $1.5 million dollars shooting down harmless ‘UFO’s, one of which was likely a balloon launched by a hobby group that cost as little as $12 dollars to make.

The series of shootdowns occurred after a Chinese high altitude balloon entered US airspace in late January, with Beijing insisting it was used to collect meteorological data and had drifted off course due to strong winds.

This prompted a show of force by the US military, leading to a mini-UFO flap that transfixed the nation for days.

We Are a Nation of Spies, They Think

by Diana West

If we still believed what they told us, taught us, ordered us to live by and fight for, this headline would be unbelievable.

“USMC recruit discharged, harassed, and barred from service after refusing to become an FBI informant for $250,000”

But now we know who they are and what they do. Just look at what they — FBI / DOJ — have done and continue to do to 20 year Special Forces Master Sergeant Jeremy Brown for his refusal to become a government informant prior to January 6. It seems likely that Uncle Sam, that dude Jeremy went to war for, even resorted to planting evidence in order to frame him and other members of the Oathkeepers after the FBI “found” two hand grenades in a vest during a search of Brown’s home in Florida in September 2021, over eight months after January 6. For his part, Brown consistently denied the grenades or the vest were his; as early as October 2021, the government knew from initial DNA testing that Brown was telling the truth, and withheld this evidence from Brown’s attorneys.

In February 2022, further DNA testing specifically excluded Brown as a potential DNA contributor to the grenades, thus definitively negating the “explosives” charge against him and other Oathkeepers. Not that months of baseless accusations hadn’t already done their damage….

As with Brown, a much-decorated retired special forces master sergeant, young Pvt Kaltenbach’s story below is another reminder of who this government is, and what it does to our bravest. It’s also an inspiring story of another American man who said no.

The Kaltenbach story was broken by a website called the Justice Report, which I was not familiar with. It describes its mission as being “dedicated towards the victims of anti-White hate.” Officially, anti-White hate doesn’t exist; although, officially, anti-White hate is a leading driver especially of the illegitimate Biden regime. The Pavolian/politically correct reaction to “White”-victim-advocacy may cause some to turn away, but I suggest they do so at our nation’s continuing peril. One of the many wars waged against the People is a kind of race war, only one side is never supposed to acknowlege this, let alone defend itself. Recently, thanks to an FBI whistleblower in the Richmond field office, we caught a glimpse of the super-predatory thinking within the Bureau, which recently produced a strategy to counter “white supremacy” by recruiting informants within the traditional Catholic community — or, in FBI demon-speak, “Radical-Traditionalist Catholics,” further defined as Catholics who attend Latin Mass.

It’s gotten that bad…

Yet Another Biden Appointee Hates Freedom of Speech

How much does the Biden regime hate the freedom of speech that the First Amendment guarantees to Americans? Last year, it tried to establish a Disinformation Governance Board to restrict speech that opposed its agenda, but had to back down after a public outcry. Then there was Biden’s handlers’ collusion with the Big Tech giants to silence dissenters from the regime’s COVID narrative. And now comes Maria Araujo Kahn, the regime’s nominee for the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, a “diversity trainer” who has called for the criminalization of speech she dislikes. Is there no one at all connected with this appalling administration who actually believes in freedom?

Greek PM Refuses to Send Ukraine Anti-Air Missile Systems

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has rejected any proposal to send Ukraine Russian-made anti-aircraft missiles, stating that the country needed to replace the systems first.

Prime Minister Mitsotakis stated that Greece would not be sending the Russian-made S-300 anti-air missile system to Ukraine as the country has nothing to replace them with — which would leave them vulnerable — but is looking to work with the United States to replace its stock of S-300 systems with US-made weapons.

Iceland’s PM Says the Country is Working to Counter “Hate Speech” And “Disinformation”

There is a crisis in the world that the United Nations, and its culture and education agency, UNESCO, appear to feel quite some urgency to solve. No, it is not the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, nor the war in Ukraine.

We’re talking about —”the ongoing crisis of online information” — and taxpayers in countries funding the UN will no doubt be thrilled to learn that their money was just this week spent to bring together more than 4,300 participants to Paris to discuss this particular “crisis” in a conference, first of its kind ever, called, Internet For Trust.

One of the speakers was Iceland Prime Minister Katrin Jakobsdóttir, whose remarks fit the now well-established and rehearsed model: the internet is first praised for all the opportunities it brought and continues to bring to so many people around the world, and so is free speech; but then, we go into what these government and other elites perceive as the internet’s powerful and dangerous, dark underbelly (at least from where they stand — or fall).

Pemex Hit by Fires at Three Facilities in One Day

MEXICO CITY, Feb 23 (Reuters) — Three fires broke out on Thursday at different facilities in Mexico and the United States operated by state-owned Mexican oil company Pemex, leaving five missing and eight others injured as of Thursday evening.

Five people were unaccounted for after a fire at a storage facility in the state of Veracruz that had sent three others to a hospital, the company said in a statement.

The cause of that fire, which had been put out, had not yet been determined, the company added.

Pemex confirmed in a later statement on Thursday evening that a separate fire at its Minatitlan refinery, also in Veracruz, was under control after injuring five people.

That fire had not interrupted the refinery’s operations, Pemex said, adding that “it is presumed that the possible cause of the fire was product runoff on a hot surface.”

A third fire was also reported Thursday by a community alert at a unit at Pemex’s Deer Park, Texas, oil refinery. It later updated with an all-clear notification.

Roald Dahl’s Publisher Backs Down After Anti-Woke Backlash: ‘Classic’ Language Version to Stay in Print

A U.K. children’s book publisher has relented after the firestorm of criticism it faced for taking out language in one famous author’s books that might offend sensitive readers.

Puffin UK, the children’s imprint of Penguin Random House Publisher, announced Friday it would release Roald Dahl’s original works later this year in a “classic” collection to accompany the more “inclusive” version they recently released.

“The Roald Dahl Classic Collection will sit alongside the newly released Puffin Roald Dahl books for young readers… readers will be free to choose which version of Dahl’s stories they prefer,” the publisher said in a press release.

The End of Literature

by Daniel Greenfield

“This book was written many years ago, and so we regularly review the language to ensure that it can continue to be enjoyed by all today.” That was how Puffin and the Roald Dahl Story Company announced that they would be rewriting significant parts of Dahl’s books.

But there isn’t actually a Puffin Books or a Roald Dahl Story Company.

Once a beloved children’s books publisher, Puffin is just another of the brands owned by Bertelsmann, the German ex-Nazi giant book monopoly, also the force behind much of literary wokeness, which publishes Ibram X. Kendi’s “How to Be an Antiracist”, Robin DiAngelo’s “White Fragility”, and Ta-Nehisi Coates’s “Between the World and Me”. And the Roald Dahl Story Company is owned by Netflix. The largest television streaming producer and book publisher decided that it would be best to monetize Dahl’s books by giving them a woke makeover.

What’s happening to Dahl isn’t a new phenomenon.

Another arm of Bertelsmann was caught purging Dr. Seuss books that its author actually wrote and replacing them with new “inclusive” books by “diverse” writers that he didn’t write. Classic children’s authors have become corporate brands with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line. The Hollywood executives who are now in charge of Seuss or Dahl have no more of a problem going back and rewriting a book than they do asking a screenwriter to change a script.

Bertelsmann and Netflix go back and “regularly review the language” in books and then rewrite it the way that the entertainment industry can decide that Superman ought to be black, that his son ought to be gay or that ‘Truth, Justice and the American Way’ needs to become, ‘Truth, Justice and a Better Tomorrow’. That’s what reducing literature to intellectual property does.

Copyright, originally meant to protect the rights of the author, has instead allowed Hollywood to buy up the work of authors and then butcher them. Netflix paid an estimated $686 million for the Roald Dahl Story Company. Dr. Seuss Enterprises, which already has deals with Netflix and major studios, is considering its own total sale that would probably top $1 billion. Amazon paid $500 million for the rights to make The Rings of Power: a woke pastiche of Tolkien.

Companies are not paying that kind of money just to keep books from the 30s or 40s in print……

University of Kent in UK Encourages Gender-Neutral Pronouns Among Students, Staff: Consider ‘Ze’ And ‘Fae’

The same university in Britain that recently warned against “Christian-centric” language called upon students and staff to use gender-neutral pronouns. These include ‘ze’ and ‘fae.’

The University of Kent on the southern coast of England released a “staff & student guidance on pronouns.” The guide claimed that “Sex does not predetermine a person’s gender, however, and this assignment may conflict with the person’s gender identity — their internal sense of their own gender and what feels right for them.”

The guide also claimed that proper pronoun usage is a matter of “human dignity” and suggested that “gender-neutral pronouns are becoming increasingly common. This includes the use of the singular ‘they’ or ‘ze’.” The guide then linked to a list of “English gender-neutral pronouns” and proclaimed “they are all linguistically valid.”

Two-factor authentication is a great tool for adding an extra layer of security to your online accounts. It requires users to provide both their password and a second piece of information (usually an authentication code or one-time password) when logging in to an online account from a new device.

This requirement for a second piece of information can protect your account if your password is breached or leaked. However, not all two-factor authentication methods are created equal.

  1. A lot of critical infrastructure is beginning to burn down. (Yes, I am a very evil conspiracy theorist!)

Food companies in the US, now oil companies in Mexico.

    Whats next?

      • They already are.

        By winning.

Blowing up the gas pipelines hurts the Europeans far more than it hurts Russia. By choosing to not repair them until the sanctions are lifted, the high prices for imported American LNG makes the decisions of European “leaders” personally painful for the average European, makes us look like phalluses for war profiteering, and also makes the flock of morons in DC look even less mature and responsible in the eyes of the entire global south when compared and contrasted with the leadership of the Russian Federation.

Russia could easily destroy critical infrastructure in the West but so far they have seem to have decided that it’s better to take the high road and act as a responsible and reliable alternative to every shanghaied country of the American global empire. Its no secret to the global south that we’ve been screwing them in every way possible for decades but the lack of an alternative has kept them on Uncle Sam’s debt plantation until now. The biggest act of Russian revenge will be the completion of an alternative transaction settlement system to the American dominated SWIFT, and an alternative global currency or basket of commodities, which will allow global south countries rich in natural resources like lumber, rare earths, uranium, etc and commodities like coffee, sugar, tobacco, etc to fairly trade their items for oil in a global marketplace without having to first buy dollars at a ruinous exchange rate. This will be the real act of revenge that Russia takes for the destruction of their pipelines.

We take their pipelines from them and they take our global empire and reserve currency status from us, impoverishing most Americans in the process. Sounds like a pretty good trade if you’re a moron in DC.

        • Moon, for the most part, I do agree with what you stated above, but the Russians being Russian, they always do tit for tat and one upmanship, they will do something spectacular, because that is what Russians always do, you can set a clock by it. If I was the Russians, I would hit an LGN facility in Europe and really put Europe in a bind, or blow up all those windfarms in the Baltic just for fun.
