2023 Spells Big Trouble for US Economy, Majority of Big Banks Warn: Reports

The vast majority of economists at 23 large financial institutions surveyed by The Wall Street Journal predict that the United States will fall into the grips of a recession in 2023 and millions of Americans lose their jobs.

More than two-thirds of the nearly two dozen institutions—which include trading firms and investment banks that do business directly with the Federal Reserve—expect the U.S. economy to contract in 2023, according to the report.

Two of the 23 institutions expect the recession to come later—in 2024—while the following five believe the United States will manage to avoid a downturn altogether: Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley.

Millions of Americans Get Bigger Social Security Payments as Cost-of-Living Adjustment Kicks in

More than 7 million Americans were slated to begin receiving bigger government benefit payments on Dec. 30 after soaring inflation prompted a near-record high 8.7 percent cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) which, as the year progresses, will ultimately see nearly 70 million people getting a benefit boost.

Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits were slated to increase by around $140 per month on average after the Social Security Administration (SSA) announced earlier in 2022 that the cost-of-living adjustment for 2023 would be the biggest since the 1980s.

The 8.7-percent adjustment was due to decades-high inflation squeezing the budgets of American families.

Disney Suffers Worst Year Since 1974 as $123 Billion Wiped From Market Value in 2022

Disney suffered its worst year since 1974 in 2022 as tens of billions of dollars were wiped from the “woke” company’s market value.

According to Discern Report, Disney lost 44% of its market value in 2022 and is showing no signs of changing its corporate direction, despite recent changes in management.

The losses resulted in a staggering $123 billion being wiped from Disney’s market value in 2022 alone.

Share prices for Disney ended 2022 at $86.88, the culmination of a downward trend spanning the last week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Disney’s controversial “woke” political agenda, a shocking and sudden CEO change, costly streaming strategies, and a slow start for “Avatar: The Way of Water” all contributed to a dramatic decline in the stock, leading to the company’s worst year in almost 50 years.

Elon Musk Has Lost More Net Worth Than Anyone in History

Amid falling Tesla share prices and his tumultuous takeover of Twitter, Elon Musk has become the first man in history to lose $200 billion.

Now the second richest man in the world with an estimated net worth of $137 billion, Musk’s fortune has fallen far since its November 2021 high of $340 billion when he sat at the top of the world’s richest list, according to CNN.

Musk announced in April 2022 that he had negotiated a bid to purchase social media platform Twitter for $44 billion and, despite some legal bickering, ultimately followed through. His management of the platform, however, has received mixed reviews as his rollout of controversial new features and rollback of the platform’s censorship policies has drawn scrutiny.

Suit Accusing YouTube of Tracking Children is Back on After Appeal

An appeals court has revived a lawsuit that accuses Google, YouTube, DreamWorks, and a handful of toymakers of tracking the activity on YouTube of children under 13. In an opinion released Wednesday, the Ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act does not bar lawsuits based on individual state privacy laws.

Passed in 1998 and amended in 2012, COPPA requires websites to obtain parental consent for the collection and dissemination of personally identifiable information of children under the age of 13. COPPA gives the FTC and state attorneys general the ability to investigate and levy fines for violations of the law.

Trump Slams McConnell for Midterm Setback

Donald Trump took to social media on Sunday to insist that he wasn’t to blame for the GOP not living up to “expectations in the MidTerms,” instead pointing the blame at Mitch McConnell, as well as the party’s mishandling of the “abortion issue.”

“It wasn’t my fault that the Republicans didn’t live up to expectations in the MidTerms,” the former president began his post on the conservative social media site Truth Social.

“I was 233-20!” relating to the success rate of Trump-backed candidates during the election.

“It was the ‘abortion issue,’ poorly handled by many Republicans, especially those that firmly insisted on No Exceptions, even in the case of Rape, Incest, or Life of the Mother, that lost large numbers of Voters.”

“Also, the people that pushed so hard, for decades, against abortion, got their wish from the U.S. Supreme Court, & just plain disappeared, not to be seen again. Plus, Mitch stupid $’s!” he added, referring to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Canadian Gov Funds Islamophobia Report Defending Antisemitism

by Daniel Greenfield

An imam prayed, “O Allah! Count their number; slay them one by one and spare not one of them”. A new report funded by the Canadian government claims that his critics are Islamophobes. The targets of the report include the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

The Canadian Islamophobia Industry Research Project, funded by a grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, was set up to “create profiles of key public, media and political figures as well as organizations who produce and distribute Islamophobic ideologies and propaganda”.

A government funding a project to create “profiles” of political opponents is bad enough, but this project also includes antisemitic conspiracy theories and defenses of calls to kill Jews.

The “Canadian Islamophobia Industry: Mapping Islamophobia’s Ecosystem in the Great White North” report is out and its unhinged claims tie Jews, Christians, Hindus, and even “Muslim dissidents” together as part of a vast Islamophobic conspiracy aligned with white nationalists.

The report slurs David Horowitz as an “Islamophobia kingpin” and the “godfather of the anti-Muslim movement”, Daniel Pipes as the “grandfather of Islamophobia” and Gatestone founder Nina Rosenwald as the mother of “anti-Muslim hate”. Not only are these despicable lies, but the report unintentionally demonstrates how the entire concept of Islamophobia had been invented by Islamists to silence critics who point out their violence and hate…

Netherlands: Slogans on Rotterdam Bridge During New Year’s Eve Cause Alarm

The texts appear to have been projected from a boat, police said. An investigation has been launched. Due to windy weather, the New Year’s Eve fireworks display in Rotterdam was cancelled on Saturday.

New Year’s Eve in France: ‘No Notable Incident’?

The night of Saturday 31 December to Sunday 1 January was marked by urban violence in several housing estates in Nantes. Cars were set on fire, at least twenty according to our information, and mobile police cars were the target of Molotov cocktails and fireworks in the Malakoff district, reported Ouest-France.

In Séchilienne, the gendarmes saved a retired couple from the flames. A car fire had spread to another vehicle and then to houses in the early hours of Sunday morning. The gendarmes entered the house as the entrance was on fire. A criminal investigation was opened.

It was a heroic act since the entrance was already in flames, but they extracted the elderly couple. A tragedy was narrowly avoided thanks to the courage of the soldiers extracting the bedridden husband.

India: Jihadi Terrorism Unleashed Again to Kill Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir

Rajouri attack: Islamist Terrorists barged into Hindu homes, opened fire after confirming identity. 5 died including a minor girl.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Jammu | Jan 2, 2023:: Four Hindu civilians were killed after Jihadi gunmen barged into the houses of a particular community in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri on Sunday.

Sources have revealed that two terrorists were involved in the attack.

The incident took place at nearly 7 pm, when the two Jihadi militants made their way through the forests and barged into three houses of the Hindu community, they said. Such terrorist activities in the valley have been supported by the Pakistani Intelligence agencies like ISI and Islamist outfits like Lashkar e Taiba or Hizbul Mujahideen, for a long time.

The terrorists opened fire at those residing inside.

Sources said the terrorists had first confirmed the Hindu identity of the victims, through their Aadhaar cards and killed them mercilessly.

The attack was the first such attack in the past many years in the otherwise peaceful Jammu region and coincided with the first day of the New Year…

Who’ll Listen to the Voice of the Minority Hindus of Pakistan & Bangladesh Under Islamic Persecution?

Hindus living a hellish life in Pakistan and Bangladesh as a minority in those countries have been killed by the Islamists before and are still being killed.

Hindu Lives MatterJayesh Rane | Guwahati | Sentinel Digital Desk | Jan 1, 2023:: Daya Bhel (Hindu), a 40-year-old widowed mother of four children was brutally murdered in Sijoro in the Sindh province of Pakistan. Along with beheading the woman her breasts were cut off and the skin was peeled off from her body and face, including the entire head. The flesh of the entire head was removed. Pakistan’s first female Hindu MP Krishna Kumari has given this information on Twitter. She is the leader of Pakistan People’s Party. It would be wrong to ignore this bad incident. Because doing so means thinking casually. It may be due to “We are safe in India so this incident will not be taken seriously”.

But only the one who is harmed knows how big that sorrow is. How painful is a simple scratch? We have felt this. Here the bad condition of the woman is heart-wrenching as a human being. How much pain must have happened to that woman? A woman is brutally murdered in Pakistan. This confirms that minority women and girls are vulnerable there.

Many Hindu men, women, boys and girls have been brutally murdered in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Hindus living a hellish life as a minority in those countries have been killed before and are still being killed. When will it stop? The governments of both the countries have no concrete answer to this. Till now no government there has had the answer. Special attention is always paid to where there is attachment — for instance, there are reports that underworld don Dawood might be in Karachi, while Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 26/11 attacks on Mumbai, is safe in Pakistan. There are many such thugs who are in that country.

It is impossible for that country to have affection for the Hindus who are in the minority. The name of this country Pak means holy but they are killing humanity. The level of inhumanity is increasing day by day. A vivid example of this is the murder of a mother of four children in Pakistan. It is not at all likely that there will be a human rights commission at the government level in that country, because only the language of bombs, weapons and anarchy is prevalent there. Also, there is never any positive news from there on the level of social, research, agriculture, health etc. Either there has been a bomb blast somewhere or there has been unrest or atrocities on minorities. This fact indicates that nothing good is happening in that country and also shows how dangerous the environment is…

Death Toll From South Africa Gas Truck Explosion Rises to 34

THE DEATH TOLL from an explosion of a tanker truck on Christmas Eve near eastern Johannesburg has risen to 34, including 10 health workers at a nearby hospital.

The truck was carrying gas when it got stuck under a low-lying bridge in the town of Boksburg, sparking flames. As firefighters tried to extinguish them the tanker exploded, according to emergency services officials.

A “fire bomb” from the explosion substantially damaged Tambo Memorial Hospital, located about 100 metres away, authorities said. Several health workers were in the hospital’s parking lot, some about to leave after their shifts and others trying to move their cars away from the fire.

Report: Majority of Content on Mastodon Social Media Site is Child Porn

An investigation conducted by Secjuice has revealed that some of the largest communities within the social media platform Mastodon are communities containing child pornography. Mastodon first experienced a “flood of child porn” being posted in their communities in 2017, and by 2022, the two largest child pornography communities were second and third on the leaderboards, with only mastodon.social having more users.

Mastodon was only a year old when, on April 14, 2017, they experienced a surge in new users. This saw the platform grow from 160,000 to about 300,000. The two communities that contained child exploitation content became the first and second largest communities in the “fediverse,” or a network of interconnected servers and websites based on decentralized networking protocols. These communities overtook the platform’s mastodon.cloud and mastodon.social communities.

  1. “A new wave of Russian drone attacks has done further damage to Ukraine’s already precarious energy infrastructure.”

You misspelled “A new wave of Russian drone attacks has been shot down without successfully carrying out any of their attacks.”

It really is remarkable that the Ukrainians have gotten so good at intercepting these things. It is even more remarkable that you seem to be cheering on the people trying to bombard civilians into oblivion.

Also, if by “precarious” you mean “consistently is back online and functioning within a day, usually within hours”, well, normally I would consider “resilient” to be a better word for such a case. But I don’t have the Humpty Dumpty dictionary.

    Hope this helps.

    • I’m sure you don’t mind that your heroes have been randomly shelling Donetsk where there are zero military targets for most of the last decade. Or that the western elites funding the war and the Elensky regime don’t care one way or another over the generation of Ukrainian men getting slaughtered to keep the corruption and the war going. After all, it’ll keep the prices of Ukrainian prostitutes in Europe low, as well as the availability of mail order brides high.

Don’t go jumping off of something high when the inevitable Russian victory over NATO occurs.

      • Not to excuse the Ukrainians’ previous actions, but do they justify the Russians’?

        • The average Ukrainian conscript is just as much a victim as those civilians that they were shelling in Donetsk.

I find it very irritating when people can’t see the forest for the trees and realize that this war isn’t about Putin or Ukraine or which Slav did what to whom. The instigators of this war do not reside in Kiev or Moscow. They are to be found in Washington D.C. and Davos.

This was a long-term plan to remove Putin from power once the WEF reptilians realized that he wasn’t just going to be a perpetual drunk giving away the resources of Russia like his predecessor. A plan was hatched to remove the elected leader of Ukraine and replace him with someone more amenable. Eventually Elensky was elevated from a drug snorting cross-dressing second rate actor playing the president of Ukraine on tv to a drug snorting cross-dressing second rate actor emplaced as the actual president of Ukraine. He was a puppet of the Davos creatures whose role was to keep the money laundromat running while maneuvering Ukraine into NATO and the EU for the purpose of allowing western bases right on the borders of Russia. This was calculated to be a provocation that the Putin government could not ignore because to do so would bring down his administration, and to respond militarily would bring Russia into conflict with the West, where it was hoped Ukraine would prevail or at least hold out long enough for the economic and financial trap they were waiting to spring on Russia would lead to the downfall of Putin.

Ultimately, the West made many grave miscalculations regarding the strength of the Russian military, the resilience of the Russian economy, the depth of its alliances with non-western powers, and the abilities of Russia to outproduce the hollowed-out Western military industrial complex.

So to answer your question, yes, Ukraine doesn’t deserve this. It is a country which has been captured by the neocons and the Davos elites and is being used as a pawn and a battering ram in a much bigger struggle between forces that want to destroy Putin in order to destroy Russia because it stands in the way of their New World Order and Build Back Better agendas enroute to realizing a neofeudal wet dream where they are masters of the universe while those of us allowed to survive are forced to live in freezing pod cubicles and eat bug paste and work the fields for the Davos overlords.

          • Very apt, succinct, and accurate summary of the situation.

I take exception to just one assertion: “…work the fields for the Davos overlords”.

The lumpenproletariat who are permitted to survive won’t be doing much work in the fields or elsewhere, because the Davos grandees expect that all those functions will be performed by robots. Some of those sub-men will be needed as personal servants and so on, but the main function of the remaining hoi polloi who are allowed to survive will be to breed the children that the elites like to use as sexual playthings.

Until, that is, babies can be bred in artificial wombs without any necessity for sexual coupling on the part of the Untermenschen. At that point the overlords will need only a few serfs to satisfy their staffing requirements.

          • Baron, Except that the ruling elites forgot what happened to the Romans and other empires, the people that are their security at some point are not going to settle for the crumbs and take over, as has happened since time immortal. Don’t think that the Praetorian’s armed to the teeth behind Shwab, Soro’s, the rest of the Davos crowd, Bilderbergers and Rockefellers are not thinking the same thing, because that is exactly what I would be thinking in their shoes and I have been in their shoes. For weak and corrupt men always are taken over by the strongmen who are utterly ruthless in their means and goals.

          • Mark H,

If Putin’s dream was to recreate the Tsarist empire then what of it?

I don’t believe that that is his goal but if it was then why exactly would that be a bad thing?

The empire of the Tsar was a religious empire, and was in the process of modernization and liberalization (in the classical definition) when it was interrupted and ultimately destroyed by the First World War. Of course it wasn’t the only empire destroyed, and it can be argued that the destruction of the German, Ottoman, Russian, and British empires was an unmitigated disaster for the West and the world when one looks at what followed the ends of those empires.

Putin isn’t crazy or on some quixotic quest, and the actions of the Russian military to date reflect the declared goals of the SMO. Perhaps you should honestly ask yourself what would be better for the world; a divided and prostrate former Russia occupied by the corporate toadies of the WEF as they plan the conquest of China, or a Ukraine which has historically been part of the russian lands going back to the Kievan Rus and the introduction of Orthodoxy by Byzantium being rid of it’s western neo-cons and reunited with the rest of the slavic and orthodox world.
