50% of American Workers Say They Plan to Quit Their Jobs in 2023

Amid widespread layoffs and hiring freezes under Democrat President Joe Biden’s economy, around 50 percent of American workers say they plan to quit their jobs in 2023, new data shows.

The uncertain economy is driving key players in the tech, automobile, media, and food industries to make unprecedented cutbacks in their operations.

However, despite the uncertainty, new data shows nearly half of all workers are looking to quit anyway, according to a recent survey from business consulting firm Robert Half.

“We find that the government sector accounts for a large majority, 86.7 percent, of all net new jobs created since the start of the pandemic,” the Fraser Research Institute said. “Meanwhile, there has been almost no net job creation in the private sector (including self-employment).”

Unemployment Benefits and ObamaCare Subsidies Outpace Median Income in Several States, Study Finds

The labor force participation rate was 62.1% last month, notably lower than the 63.4% mark it was at before the coronavirus pandemic struck the United States in March 2020.

There are numerous reasons that unemployed Americans aren’t entering the workforce, including ongoing fears of COVID-19, disabilities such as “long COVID,” and other care responsibilities. One factor that is contributing to the relatively low labor force participation rate is the combination of unemployment benefits and recently expanded Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies, according a new study by the nonprofit Committee to Unleash Prosperity.

In 14 states, unemployment benefits and ACA subsidies for a family of four with two people not working amounts to an annualized equivalent of $80,000 a year in wages and benefits, the study found.

Adam Schiff Issues Veiled Threat to Elon Musk: ‘if You Will be Responsible Moderators of Content, We Will Give You Immunity’

Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) has issued a veiled threat to Twitter CEO Elon Musk over the platform’s new content moderation policies.

Speaking during an interview on CNN Sunday, Schiff told Jake Tapper that he sees a big problem with the “banning of journalists” and “explosion of hate speech on Twitter.”

However, both of Schiff’s claims about Twitter are false.

Twitter temporarily suspended a handful of media leftists posing as “journalists” because they violated a policy against doxxing and put Musk’s family in danger.

Their accounts were restored after just a couple of days.

As Walmart CEO Warns of Crime Wave’s Impact on Retail, Reports Show How Thieves Brazenly Rip Off Stores

Businesses across the country have been battered by crime this year, including retail behemoth Walmart. As shoppers flock to stores this holiday season, even Walmart’s CEO warned this month that the uptick in crimes need to end or consumers could see higher prices and even stores shutting down.

“Theft is an issue. It’s higher than what it has historically been,” Walmart CEO Doug McMillon told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” earlier this month. He added that if the crime wave is not halted soon and if prosecutors don’t bring charges against shoplifters, “prices will be higher, and/or stores will close.”

Crime has weighed heavily on retailers across the country this year, ballooning to a $100 billion problem, the National Retail Federation reported earlier this year. Walmart competitor Target reported this year that shoplifting incidents have increased 50% year over year, causing $400 million in losses.

CNN & MSNBC Hit Rock Bottom in 2022, Get Lowest Ratings of All Time in Top Demographic

The 2022 television ratings are in and once again Fox News dominated across the board. Fox News had 92 of the top 100 cable news shows in 2022. Fox News delivered the third highest-rated year in cable news history for 2022 in total day viewers.

Fox News was the number one cable network in primetime and total day in viewers again and finished 2022 as the highest-rated cable news network for the 21st straight year. CNN and MSNBC also made history but the wrong kind.

Fox News beat CNN and MSNBC combined in primetime and total day across both categories, finishing the year as the only cable news network to notch more than 2 million in primetime viewers and 1 million in total day viewers. And MSNBC and CNN had their lowest-rated years of all time in total day viewers with the younger A25-54 demo. Ouch.

Licht became CEO of CNN earlier this year, promising major changes at the embattled network.

He cut thousands of jobs, canceled the Chirs Wallace-led streaming service, and shuffled the primetime lineup.

However, despite the changes, the ratings are still terrible.

Couple in Car Survive 300-Foot Fall Into Southern California Canyon

Cloe Fields and her boyfriend, Christian Zelada, were driving on a two-lane highway at the edge of a steep canyon in Southern California on Tuesday when, they said, a woman in a white Mercedes pulled up behind them and started honking.

Zelada said he had pulled over to let the woman pass. Suddenly, the couple said, their Hyundai Elantra hit some gravel, lost traction, spun 180 degrees and plunged over the edge.

Fields said the car had smashed into a few trees as it careened downward before it flipped over and landed wheels up at the bottom of the canyon.

The couple had fallen about 300 feet, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. And they had survived with no major injuries.

“We only had bruises on our faces, cuts and a little bit of neck pain and, now, a mild concussion,” Fields, 23, a freelance video editor, said in an interview Friday.

Sgt. John Gilbert of the Sheriff’s Department said it was a “miracle” that the couple had survived the plunge into Monkey Canyon in the Angeles National Forest, which was reported by the Los Angeles Times.

FBI Tried to Get Twitter to Share Account Information Without a Warrant

Internal Twitter emails that were published by journalist Michael Shellenberger as part of the Twitter Files show Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan attempting to get Twitter’s then-Head of Trust and Safety Yoel Roth to hand over information to the agency without legal process.

The term “legal process” describes information requests made in compliance with existing laws. Generally, these types of requests require a court order, subpoena, or warrant which means that a judge or court would need to review and approve information requests before a company is ordered to hand over the data. This legal process ensures that an independent judge or court can review law enforcement data requests and ensure that they’re legal and proportionate.

FDA Researchers Find Pfizer COVID Vaccine Linked to Blood Clots in People 65, Older

Food and Drug Administration researchers have found that the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is linked to higher instances of adverse effects in people ages 65 and older, but still says the benefits of getting shot “outweigh” the potential risks of being infected by the virus.

Using data up to Jan. 15, 2022, the study of more than 25 million people published by Science Direct earlier this month found that 0.06% of people over the age of 65 who receive the Pfizer COVID vaccine develop a pulmonary embolism, or a clot, typically of blood, in the lungs.

The researchers also noted an increased chance of people over 65 experiencing blood clots, platelet disorders and heart attacks after receiving the Pfizer vaccine.

Feds Cite ‘Explosion’ in Child Sextortion Cases, FBI, DHS Issue National Public Safety Alert

Federal officials, describing “desperate” accounts from young victims, said the number of incidents in the first six months of 2022 represented a 1,000% increase from the same period last year.

Citing an “explosion” of online sextortion cases involving children, federal authorities Monday issued an unusual national public safety alert in an attempt to intervene in increasingly aggressive schemes linked to more than a dozen suicides in the past year.

At least 3,000 victims, primarily boys, have been identified as targets in operations largely originating outside the U.S., in which children are being coerced into sending explicit images online and then extorted for money.

On a variety of online platforms, from gaming and social media sites to chatrooms, predators are often using fake female accounts to target boys, between 14 to 17 years old. Some victims are as young as 10, the FBI said.

A large portion of the schemes are being traced to the West African countries of Nigeria and the Ivory Coast, officials said.

The FBI, along with the Department of Homeland Security and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, issued the alert in advance of the holidays urging parents to intercede as children are expected to spend more time online, away from the classroom.

He’s been a truck driver, a lumber yard worker, a university professor, a gang busting lifeguard, a rider of Amtrak trains, a civil rights protester, and he even got arrested trying to bust Nelson Mandela out of prison once.

Of course, none of these things are real.

He did this again at the weekend.

Gunman Used Semi Automatic Handgun in Vaughan, Ont. Shooting That Left 5 Dead

Officers responding to a mass shooting in Vaughan Sunday night found multiple people dead on several floors of a condo building before the gunman was shot dead by an officer in a hallway, Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit said Monday.

Officers with York Regional Police were dispatched to the building on Jane Street, just north of Rutherford Road, for an active shooting at around 7:20 p.m. and the gunman was pronounced dead about 40 minutes later, SIU Spokesperson Kristy Denette told reporters.

“My understanding of what took place was there was multiple deceased located on several floors,” Denette said.

She said investigators have identified the deceased gunman, but his family has not consented to the release of his identity.

However a source close to the investigation, who was not authorized to speak publicly, identified the suspected gunman to The Canadian Press as Francesco Villi.

“The man was a resident in the building and the man was using a semiautomatic handgun,” Denette said.

She said a single officer discharged their firearm multiple times, fatally injuring the 73-year-old gunman.

French Goalkeeper Subjected to Torrent of Anti-White Racist Abuse After World Cup Final Defeat

French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was the victim of anti-White racism following the French national team’s defeat to Argentina on penalties in the FIFA World Cup final on Sunday.

Asked whether the legislation would fulfill the EU commission’s milestones on the rule of law so that Poland could receive its EU recovery fund allocation, Kaczynski said that it probably would but warned there is a real danger it would cause severe problems for the judicial system in Poland, which could in turn damage Poland’s ability to absorb the main part of its EU funding from the general EU budget.
