The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimated on Wednesday that the national debt will reach 185% of GDP in 2052.
According to the CBO’s latest Budget and Economic Outlook, the national debt will drop to 96% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2023 but it will rise to a record 110% of GDP by 2032.

Half of Canadians Struggling to Feed Their Families: Survey
Nearly 50% of Canadians are finding it difficult to feed their families amid record-high inflation rates which have impacted the cost of groceries, according to a new survey.
Recent Angus Reid Institute research revealed that 49% of respondents are finding it difficult or very difficult to feed their families amid rising food prices. That number is up 13% from the last time Angus Reid conducted a similar survey in 2019.
In March, Canada’s food inflation rate rose 8.7% year over year, according to Statistics Canada. Meat and dairy products appear to be the hardest hit.

Duke Professor Under Fire for Refusing to Attend Diversity Training
A professor at the Duke University School of Medicine is under fire after he blasted a mandatory equity training as “Maoist political propaganda” and refused to attend.
Bryan Cullen, a professor of molecular genetics and microbiology, drew the ire of several doctoral students after he announced to his department that he would not take part in the medical school’s mandatory training put on by the Office of Institutional Equity, according to a report by the Duke Chronicle.

Florida Officials Push Back Against Biden Plan to Relinquish U.S. Health Sovereignty to Who

Governor J.B. Pritzker of Illinois on Wednesday criticized Greg Abbott for bringing up Chicago’s gun laws and crime rates as a counter to calls for tougher gun laws in the state of Texas.
In response to Abbott’s statements made during a Wednesday press conference, Pritzker said the Texas Governor was spreading a “false narrative” on the issue of gun violence.
He cited an October 2017 report from NBC that said nearly 60 percent of Chicago’s guns came from out-of-state, with “more than 20 percent” of those coming from Indiana.
“You are lying about Chicago and what actually perpetuates gun violence. The majority of guns used in Chicago shootings come from states with lax gun laws,” Pritzker added in a follow-up.
Notably, Chicago’s Mayor Lori Lightfoot previously pleaded for federal government help in stopping the city’s crime.
When asked about the topic of gun control during a press conference on Wednesday, Abbott said the laws passed in 2019’s Texas legislative sessions were already some of the most “profound” seen “in any state and addressing school shootings.”
“I know that people like to try to oversimplify this. Let’s talk about some real facts. And that is: there are ‘real gun laws’ in Chicago. There are ‘real gun laws’ in New York. There are ‘real gun laws’ in California. I hate to say this, but there are more people who were shot every weekend in Chicago than there are in schools in Texas. And we need to realize that maybe if we just implement tougher gun laws, it’s gonna solve it: Chicago and LA and New York disprove that thesis.”

The Poway Unified School District in California canceled a meeting about critical race theory after an article I wrote last month exposed the school’s faculty was using the theory. In a leaked email shared with the Washington Examiner, Carol Osborne, the Poway Unified School District’s associate superintendent, confirmed that the meeting was being scrapped. Leaders of the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant denomination in America, stonewalled and denigrated survivors of clergy sex abuse over almost two decades while seeking to protect their own reputations, according to a third-party investigation sought by the church’s leaders.
These survivors, and other concerned Southern Baptists, repeatedly shared allegations with the SBC’s Executive Committee, ‘only to be met, time and time again, with resistance, stonewalling, and even outright hostility from some within the EC,’ said a 288-page investigative report revealed on Sunday.
The seven-month investigation was conducted by Guidepost Solutions, an independent firm contracted by the Executive Committee after delegates to last year’s national meeting pressed for a probe by outsiders.

Smith told Fox 8 that Deputy Kenneth Doby was shot as he and another deputy wrestled the suspect to the ground on the side of a road, after spotting him walking away from Backroads Mercantile, a grocery store near the intersection of state highways 21 and 1083 in Waldheim that had been burglarized around 3 a.m.
While effecting the arrest, Doby was shot once, “beneath the back of his bullet-proof vest,” Smith said. The four-year veteran of the St. Tammany agency continued assisting his partner with handcuffing the teen even after being shot, then was taken to Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington for emergency treatment.
“Right now, it looks like he’s going to have a full recovery,” Smith said. “We’re very lucky. … We’re just thankful he’s going to be OK, because it could’ve been a lot worse.”…

Yesterday, Health Canada and Public Health Agency of Canada (“PHAC”) opened a survey on Twitter asking: “True or False: Vaccination reduces your risk of experiencing serious illness from COVID-19 and related #pregnancy complications.”

International Air Transport Group Tells Trudeau to Drop Travel Mandates

Amazon to Bring AI Driver Monitoring to the UK
Amazon is installing AI-powered cameras in delivery vans in the UK. The tech giant rolled out the cameras in the US last year, but errors that led to drivers being wrongly denied bonuses were reported.

CreditSuisse Chairman Heads to World Economic Forum to Push Idea of Central Bank Digital Currencies
CreditSuisse Chairman of the Board of Directors Axel P. Lehmann has told a World Economic Forum (WEF) panel organized in Davos, Switzerland, that up to 87 percent of central banks around the world are looking into introducing central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), and shared that he thinks this is an excellent development.

Finnish and Swedish Delegations Begin NATO Negotiations in Turkey
Delegations from both Finland and Sweden travelled to Ankara on Wednesday to begin negotiations on Turkey’s current refusal to accept the two countries’ applications to join NATO.
The delegations began negotiations at around 1 pm on Wednesday afternoon at the Turkish presidential palace and are reported to have ended the meeting by evening.

The first case of monkeypox was confirmed in the Czech Republic, according to a press release releaed on Tuesday from the National Institute of Public Health (SZÚ). The infected man visited the Antwerp Music Festival in Belgium at the beginning of May.
The National Reference Laboratory for Influenza and Non-Influenza Viral Diseases under SZÚ states that this is a preliminary confirmation because the sample was examined by electron microscopy on Tuesday morning. According to the head of the laboratory Helena Jirincova, it is necessary to do a whole genome sequencing or PCR method for the final confirmation. The results will be known next week. The laboratory received three samples, which it is now processing.

France: Climate Protesters Block TotalEnergies Meeting
PARIS — Several hundred climate protesters disrupted a TotalEnergies shareholders meeting in Paris and blocked the venue entrance Wednesday to denounce the oil and gas giant’s stake in Russia despite Moscow’s war in Ukraine.
TotalEnergies, which was renamed last year from Total, tweeted that due to activists impeding access to the meeting, “it unfortunately won’t be possible for our shareholders to join us.” It said interested viewers could follow the meeting on the company website.

A candidate for Éric Zemmour’s Reconquête party in the first constituency of the Côte-d’Or, and her campaign manager claim to have been attacked by anti-fascist activists near the Étaules market on Saturday.

German Man Shot and Killed by Group of Six Foreigners During Fairground Chaos
At the opening day of a fair in the German city of Lüdenscheid, individuals from a group of six men who were described as “foreign-looking” opened fire, killing one man.
The man reportedly shot to death was a 40-year-old individual who was uninvolved in the initial dispute. The victim was transported to the hospital, but despite efforts to save his life, the man was declared dead.
The incident began as a dispute between a group of young men of “Southern appearance” and a 16-year-old at the traditional Steinert festival on Saturday evening. Hungary Crowned the Marriage Capital of Europe
Hungary has the largest proportion of married couples per capita in the European Union, according to a Eurostat report from May, a major milestone that coincides with a dramatic increase in births over the last decade.
Marriage rates are generally declining in the EU since the 1960s, falling from eight per 1,000 people 60 years ago to only 3.2 today. The year 2020 was a particularly devastating one for marriages, with only 1.4 million taking place across the entire EU, compared with 1.9 million only a year before. Eurostat explains the dramatic decline with measures introduced to combat the spread of Covid-19, but this alone cannot explain the unprecedented fall.

Moderna CEO on Jabs: ‘Nobody Wants Them’

PM Orban Urges EU to Postpone Decision on Energy Sanctions Against Russia
The European Council should remove the topic of energy sanctions on Russia from the agenda of its next meeting, urged Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in a letter to the council president, Charles Michel.
In the letter, Orban said any discussion around enacting sanctions would be “counter-productive.”
“I am convinced that in the absence of a consensus, a leader-level discussion of the sanctions package would be countre-productive,” Orban wrote in the letter. “It would only highlight our internal divisions without offering a real chance to solve the differences.”

Poland Seeks to Sign New Treaty With Ukraine to Cement Alliance
Poland is pushing for a new era of relations with Ukraine through the signing of a new treaty, in a move that is designed to cement the warm relations the two countries currently demonstrate in the face of war with Russia, according to Jakub Kumoch, who serves as an advisor to Polish President Andrzej Duda.
On Sunday, Duda gave a speech to Ukrainian parliament, and was the first foreign leader to do so since the beginning of the war on Feb. 24.

Revealed: In the 1990s, Germany Worked to Fragment Poland’s Political Scene for Economic Benefit
Polish intelligence services had information that Germany was actively working to split the Solidarity political movement in the 1990s to keep a dominant political party from forming, all in order to make it easier for Germany to expand its economic interests in Poland, according to Polish professor Bogdan Musial, who made the intelligence report public.
In 1989, Solidarity won the first partially free election in Poland after World War II and formed the first non-communist government, but from early on, Germany was working to blunt the growth of the party.

Rights Groups Denounces Spate of Church Vandalism in Austria
ROME — The Observatory on Discrimination and Intolerance Against Christians in Europe (OIDACE) denounced Wednesday a recent spate of anti-Christian vandalism in Austria and mainstream media’s failure to report on it.
“Acts of vandalism against Churches are currently very high in countries like Germany, France, and Italy,” OIDACE executive director Madeleine Enzlberger said in an email, with many of the cases showing “a clear anti-Christian bias.”

Six Convicted for Harassing French Teenager Over Anti-Islam Rant
A French court convicted six people on Tuesday for harassing a teenager online over her anti-Islam videos in a case that sparked debate about freedom of expression, blasphemy, religion and hate speech in France.
The girl, known as Mila, was forced to change schools and accept police protection due to threats to her life after videos in which she insulted Islam went viral in January and November 2020.
The court handed sentences ranging from a three-month suspended prison term to four months with an electronic bracelet to the two men and four women, aged 19 to 39.
The six were ordered to pay damages of 3,000 euros each to Mila.

The Home Office has proposed a new Public Order Bill that includes “serious disruption prevention orders.” The bill would give the police the ability to electronically tag disruptive protesters and limit where they can go, who they can meet, and what they can do online and in real life, regardless of whether they have committed a crime.
The bill would also make locking-on (where protesters lock themselves onto parts of buildings) a criminal offense. Also, disrupting transport works and national infrastructure would be a criminal offense.

UK: Eight Men Appear in Court to Deny 84 Child Sex Offences Allegedly Committed in Rochdale
Eight men have appeared in court to deny 84 child sex offences allegedly committed in Rochdale. All eight defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges they have been accused of during a crown court hearing.
Prosecutors previously said the case involves alleged ‘widespread sexual exploitation and abuse’ of two girls aged between 12 and 16 between 2002 and 2006. The men are due to stand trial in May next year.

A ‘despicable man’ who kidnapped, sexually assaulted and raped a 17-year-old girl reversed his car after spotting his intended victim before forcing her into his VW Polo and driving her ten miles before attacking her.
Mohammed Atif Khan, 37, of Chesham, Buckinghamshire picked up the girl who had been socialising with friends in Hemel Hempstead.
Khan spotted the girl on Sunday, August 28, 2021 behind the town’s Primark store and reversed his VW Polo and urged her to get into his car.

Watch: Massive Brawl Among ‘Youths’ Outside French Cathedral
A huge fight involving dozens of ‘teens’ broke out in front of a cathedral in France last week, according to reports.
The disturbing incident unfolded at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening in Perpignan, a city in the department of Pyrénées-Orientales.
Groups of ‘young people’ reportedly became aggressive while returning by bus from the nearby seaside resort of Canet-en-Roussillon.
Tensions exploded when they reached the city and an ensuing brawl involving around 40 youths near Cathedral Saint-Jean was captured on camera by a witness.
“Here is the famous ‘feeling of insecurity’ which plagues Perpignan. This evening, major fight with cries of ‘Allah Akbar.’ Forty teenagers,” wrote a user who shared the video on Twitter.

Latest News in the Russia-Ukraine War
Ukraine: Russian forces were pushing to encircle two cities in eastern Ukraine, part of an all-out Russian assault in an effort to take control of the Donbas region. The governor of Luhansk province said the situation for Ukrainian forces in one of the cities, Severodonetsk, was dire.
Four rockets struck the outskirts of the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhizhia, which has remained relatively safe since the start of the invasion.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said Moscow is willing to consider a prisoner exchange, but only after Ukrainian prisoners have been put on trial, convicted and sentenced.
A Russian official said Moscow is open to easing its blockade of Ukraine’s Black Sea ports if sanctions on Moscow are lifted.
Russia: President Vladimir Putin visited war wounded and ordered higher payouts for those fighting in Ukraine and for the families of dead soldiers, while parliament adopted a bill lifting age limits for military enlistment, as Moscow seeks to boost morale and replenish its forces.
Europe: The prime ministers of Georgia and Moldova called for faster acceptance to the European Union, citing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as a threat to their stability and Europe’s security architecture. Turkish officials laid out objections to Finland and Sweden joining NATO in discussions in Ankara.

Brazil: MasterCard Rolls Out Biometric ID System Used to Validate Food Purchases
Mastercard recently launched a program for retailers to offer biometric payment methods, like facial recognition and fingerprint scanning… The program has already gone live in five St Marche grocery stores in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with more trials also planned for Asia and the Middle East. Mastercard says it plans to roll it out globally later this year…
The president of cyber and intelligence at Mastercard, said: “… All the research that we’ve done has told us that consumers love biometrics”.
Did Mastercard only conduct its market research in China? It certainly sounds like it.
The current spin being used to justify using the biometric payment system and forcing the public to live in a dystopian cashless society is that it will “lead to shorter queues, be more hygienic than tapping in a pin, and be less vulnerable to fraud”.
A spokesman for Mastercard said: “No more fumbling for your phone or hunting for your wallet…”
Mastercard cited a study that claims 74% of the global population has a “positive attitude” towards biometrics. That number is highly questionable, but are the 74% aware of the dangers of implementing this kind of technology? …

Migrant Barrier on Polish-Belarusian Border Will be Completed in June
The border wall on the Polish-Belarusian border will be completed by the end of June, stated.General Andrzej Jakubaszek, the commander of the Polish Border Guard unit in the Podlasie region in eastern Poland.
A service road running behind the wall will also be completed by the end of next month, and an additional electronic barrier will be fully operational by October at the latest.
The update on the border wall came as the Polish Border Guard informed of another attempt by 28 individuals to illegally enter Polish territory on Monday.

Roma People Are Warned Against Going to Czechia
Half as many Roma people are flowing into the Czech Republic from Ukraine than a few weeks ago, and according to Mlada fronta DNES daily, the reason is that the Roma are being convinced not to enter the country.
Ukrainian customs officers have begun to advise the Roma population that if they expect a generous social system to take care of them in Czechia, they will be disappointed, with the officials reportedly telling them they will sleep at train stations or in refugee towns.

Schools to Swell Up in September as Ukrainian Refugees Saturate Czech School Places
Three out of four Ukrainian children of the relevant age have not yet begun kindergarten in Czechia, while two-thirds of older children had not yet been registered for a place in primary school, the chief school inspector, Tomas Zatloukal, revealed following the conclusion of an inspection ordered by the education ministry.
“75 percent of Ukrainian children have not begun to visit kindergarten. Two-thirds of children did not enter primary schools,” Zatloukal told reporters alongside Education Minister Petr Gazdik following the publishing of the inspection results on Monday.
In mid-May, approximately 26,000 Ukrainian refugees attended primary schools in the Czech Republic — 3,800 of them attended kindergartens.

A British father-of-two has dumped his partner after falling for a 22-year-old Ukrainian refugee who came to live with them to escape the war.
Tony Garnett, 29, and his partner Lorna, 28, took in Sofiia Karkadym at the start of May, but just 10 days later their seemingly-happy marriage was torn apart when he ran away with the refugee.
The security guard, who lives in Bradford, West Yorkshire, says he has fallen in love with the 22-year-old and wants to spend the rest of his life with her.

Arizona Education Dept. Promotes Sex and Gender Chat Rooms for Kids
The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) is directing students as young as 10 to online chat rooms to discuss sex and gender without parental consent.
The ADE website directs LGBT+ students to “resources” in the form of two online chat spaces with adult volunteer and staff moderators: Q Chat Space and Gender Spectrum.

Et Tu? Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre Adds Trigger Warning to Julius Caesar
Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London has added a trigger warning before a production of the Bard’s famed tragedy of Julius Caesar to warn attendees of potentially offensive content within the 1599 play.
Despite depicting perhaps the most famous assassination in history, theatre bosses at the Globe theatre have sought fit to provide audiences with “content guidance” that their production of William Shakespeare’s Tragedy of Julius Ceasar will include weapons and fake stage blood.
“Content guidance: Depictions of war, self-harm and suicide, stage blood and weapons including knives,” the trigger warning The Sun newspaper reported.
In addition to the trigger warning, the woke theatre company has also opted for a gender-bending diverse cast, with the role of Marcus Junius Brutus — the most famed assassin of Caesar — given to Anna Crichlow, a Black-British actress.

Päivi Maria Räsänen, the former interior minister of Finland and current member of parliament, recently made headlines across the world when news broke that she won a landmark free speech court case in Finland. However, the reality is that her case is far from over. An aggressive prosecutor has appealed the case, and continues to contend that her use of Bible verses on the topic of LGBT people is a hate crime.

Polish Education Minister Slams Transgender Toilets Located in Warsaw School
The opening of a toilet for non-binary and transsexual pupils at a Warsaw high school sparked a heated debate on Polish social media on Monday with government officials also offering their opinion on the matter.
The headmaster of the school told Polish public television news channel TVP Info that the space was created on request of the school’s student council who had claimed that some pupils did not feel comfortable in traditional male and female toilets. The opening of the toilet was agreed following consultations with specialists.
Asked for his comments the education minister Przemyslaw Czarnek did not mince his words.

GLAAD, a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media watchdog has called for Netflix to cancel comedian Ricky Gervais’s latest comedy special “SuperNature.” Some Twitter users are also using the #cancelnetflix to encourage viewers to cancel their subscriptions.
