Gates of Vienna News Feed 1/26/2022

A massive convoy of tractor-trailer trucks is converging on Ottawa from three directions. The truckers are protesting Canada’s recently-imposed “vaccine” mandate. Prime Minister Justin “Baby Doc” Trudeau said that the truckers were a small fringe minority and held unacceptable views.

The convoy began last weekend in British Columbia, and has been gathering additional participants as it moves east. The eastern portion of the convoy set out from Nova Scotia, and a group from southern Ontario is moving north towards Ottawa. The three branches of the convoy plan to meet on the weekend and surround Parliament Hill. They say that they will remain there until the Corona restrictions and mandates are removed, or Baby Doc resigns.

Federal Reserve Indicates Interest Rate Hike Arriving in March

With both volatile markets and significant inflation in the mix, the Federal Reserve on Wednesday indicated that it may soon raise interest rates for the first time in more than three years.

“With inflation well above 2 percent and a strong labor market, the committee expects it will soon be appropriate to raise the target range for the federal funds rate,” the body said n a highly anticipated statement following its meeting.

The Federal Open Market Committee added that the central bank’s monthly bond-buying will proceed at just $30 billion in February, signaling that the program could come to an end in March as the interest rate increases.

Biden’s DOJ Recommends Lesser Sentence for Arsonist Who Killed a Man Because He Lit the Blaze for Black Lives Matter

Montez Terriel Lee Jr., of Rochester, New York, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after being convicted for arson that resulted in a man’s death. More than two months after the arson, 30-year-old Oscar Lee Stewart was found dead in the rubble. Lee set the blaze during the riots after George Floyd’s death.

While sentencing guidelines indicated that Lee should be incarcerated for over 200 months, a memo from the US Attorney’s office for the District of Minnesota at the time of sentencing recommended a lesser sentence. The US Attorney stated that while “Mr. Lee committed a crime that cost a man his life,” his motives for setting the blaze should be taken into consideration at sentencing.

Authored by Nanette Holt via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours)

And when it’s not too late, some have seen tremendous success by sneaking medications prohibited by hospitals to patients, says Eduardo Balbona, an independent internist in Jacksonville.

He’s helped dozens of seriously ill patients recover using ivermectin and other drugs and supplements not officially approved in the treatment of COVID-19, he says.

Hundreds of Michigan University Students Fined for Missing Weekly COVID-19 Tests

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WWMT) — Hundreds of Western Michigan University students have been fined by the school since its new COVID-19 testing policy took effect on Jan. 10.

Last month, the university announced it will start fining students who miss their weekly tests. Students in the weekly testing protocols are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19. WMU said in order to be considered fully vaccinated, a booster shot is required.

A school official said students had been fined $60,050 as of Tuesday afternoon and that money would be used to offset COVID-19 testing costs.

For those who miss a test, they’ll be fined $50 for the first five misses. Then, the fine will increase to $100 for each miss after that. Once a student owes more than $300, the individual cannot register for classes, according to the school.

In Atlanta’s Buckhead Neighborhood, Rising Crime Fuels Move to Secede

An increase in violent crime has spurred a movement in Atlanta’s wealthiest and whitest neighborhood, Buckhead, to push harder to secede and create a new city with its own police force. The idea, which has been gaining momentum over the past year, is raising alarm among Atlanta officials worried about a loss of population and tax revenue.

The Republican-majority state legislature, which just opened its 2022 session, is taking up proposed legislation this month for a referendum on Buckhead cityhood. Politicians in largely Democratic Atlanta oppose the idea.

First Reading: Have a Bunch of Truckers Become Canada’s Most Powerful Protest Movement?

As spontaneous Canadian grassroots protest movements go, Freedom Convoy 2022 is shaping up to be one of the largest the country has seen in years . Cities across Canada are now regularly witnessing scenes of kilometres-long convoys of trucks being greeted by crowds of flag-waving supporters …

A recent drone video showed lines of trucks long enough to bisect Downtown Vancouver.

Aerial footage taken by a supporter somewhere in the Prairies showed a line of trucks literally stretching as far as the eye could see.

In Okotoks, Alta., it took about 30 minutes for the convoy to fully pass.

In just 24 hours, the GoFundMe for the convoy has surged more than $1 million to hit $4.6 million. And that’s largely being driven by small donations of $50 or $100. The largest single donation, in fact, is just $11,000, which came in from a donor identified as MGV Concrete Finishing.

On Tuesday, however, GoFundMe froze the money until organizers could provide them with details on how they plan to disburse it . The fundraiser was begun by Tamara Lich — an official from the western separatist Maverick Party — who wrote in a description that “money raised will be dispersed to our Truckers to aid them with the cost of the journey.”

As Many European Nations Relax COVID-19 Measures, Czechia and Germany Hold Fire

Due to the omicron variant, the number of new cases of Covid-19 in Europe is still rising. However, some countries are already beginning to loosen measures, with the image of the end of the pandemic on sight. England was the first to decide on easing restrictions. Ireland and, more recently, France are preparing to do so as well, albeit only for the vaccinated.

The Czech government has not yet set any specific goal that should be met in order to loosen Covid-19 measures. Last week, Health Minister Vlastimil Valek only estimated that the current system of testing should last until the end of February. Further measures are to be decided as soon as the epidemic caused by the omicron variant begins to decline.

Germany: ‘Medical Emergency’ Or Victim of Police Violence?

A 53-year-old anti-vaccine demonstrator died after a police intervention. The tragic incident happened at protests near Berlin. A demonstrator allegedly tried to break through a police cordon. The police then took down his personal details. Shortly afterwards the man collapsed. He was taken to hospital and died there.

That is the official version according to the police. A video circulating on Telegram however showed what had really happened. It shows a police officer forcibly pushing a man to the ground.

On Monday, “walkers” took to the streets across Germany against the unspeakable Corona policy. Hundreds of participants strolled through the streets of Wandlitz, 25 km north of Berlin, to protest against the Corona regime. In this case, the demonstration was stopped by the police. Personal details were taken.

The 53-year-old man allegedly collapsed shortly after the police intervention, and a “medical emergency” was reported. Police officers are said to have rushed to the man’s aid as first responders until the ambulance arrived to take him to hospital. Shortly afterwards, the individual died in hospital.

But for users on Telegram it is clear: The man had been a victim of police violence.

German Jihadi Child Bride Goes on Trial for Aiding Crimes Against Humanity

A German woman who fled her homeland at the age of 15 to join ISIS will go on trial today in Germany, where she faces charges of aiding and abetting crimes against humanity.

Leonara Messing made headlines back in 2015 when she abandoned her life as the daughter of a German baker in the central town of Sangerhausen to join up with the Islamic death cult in Syria.

The jihadi child bride became the third wife of a fellow German national within the terror cell’s ranks, Martin Lemke, also known as Nihad Abu Yasir, and shared a home with him in the caliphate’s de facto capital of Raqqa.

She now stands in the dock at a German court in the eastern city of Halle, accused of being part of a human trafficking operation for the terrorist organization.

It’s Not Over! Experts Say New Omicron Strain Could Prolong Pandemic

In what will surely be music to the ears of technocrats and newly famous television doctors, experts say the new strain of Omicron could prolong the pandemic.

Yes, really.

After Omicron failed to produce the hospitalisations and deaths predicted by doomsday groups like SAGE, many hoped it could spell the end of the pandemic by providing widespread natural immunity.

On Monday, Hans Kluge, the World Health Organization’s Europe director, said the continent was moving towards a pandemic “endgame” scenario.

However, Sky News, which has relentlessly lobbied for lockdown restrictions as part of its biased coverage, isn’t letting go that easy, with the headline ‘Current wave could be prolonged by new strain of Omicron variant, experts warn’.

Scientific Miracle: German MPs Stay Immune Against COVID Longer Than Ordinary Citizens

The Coronavirus seems to be the world’s first political virus with a fine sense of privilege. This is evident, for instance, in the fact that German ministers like Karl Lauterbach appear to be less contagious than his subordinates.

This is the conclusion after a picture of Lauterbach circulated via social media. In a post with the following text: “Here’s to good cooperation. With General Breuer, the head of the crisis team, the logistics of vaccine supply will soon be significantly improved. For the first time with a general in a team game.”

None of their medical justifications explain why high-ranking officials should sit together at a table without wearing a mask while the subordinates in the room should be masked.

  1. “Trudeau said that the truckers were a small fringe minority and held unacceptable views.”

I ask this question in all sincerity: Is it just possible that he believes what he says?

  2. He is a disgusting narcissistic idiot, Schwab puppet, liar , liar , this guy belongs to prison like all this filthy politicians..

    • Prison is too mild, unless he’s in a cell full of sodomites.

Better would be inside some dumpster, a crematorium, or right next to Jimmy Hoffa, wherever that may be.

      • I dont know.
Igf he is so secure in the knowledge that the vaxx is safe and secure, why dont we use him as a test subject of “How many jabs can you get before an adverse reaction happens?”

    • When are you people going to bloody learn that traitors like this get the rope and nothing less will do.

  3. Breaking: Trudeau Says Freedom Truckers a ‘Small Fringe Minority’ With ‘Unacceptable Views’- Yes I am sure he does believe all he says Anon-he is a man I would not trust, he has many strange views of his countrymen and women. Sadly he and many like him are slipping into the realms of Dictator, a touch of Maglomania as is shown in Putin and the like. They as many of the past will not last long, but they will cause considerable damage meanwhile.

    • Say what you want about ole Putin, he is far from stupid like Trudope is. For Putin is a practical, and coldly calculates his every move and doesn’t make a move without a plan. Trudope will screw up a wet dream. The rest of these western leaders including Biteme never ceases to amaze me that a majority of the voting public elected these dimwits.

  4. “Former director of the Slovak Military Intelligence Service Peter Bučka (68) was found hanged in the Děvín district of Bratislava”

Sources say that it was an apparent suicide, although he had his hands tied behind his back.

It has nothing to do with the situation in Ukraine, and the good news is that Slovakia is making a flying car!

  5. Roll on, buddy, roll on
    Roll on, buddy, roll on
    You wouldn’t roll so slow
If you knew what I know
So roll on, buddy, roll on

    • Re Trudeau hiding out:

      Brave Sir Justin ran away.
      Bravely ran away away.
The truckers came, he was full of dread,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Justin turned about
      And gallantly he chickened out.
      Swiftly taking to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat.
