Illinois Pension Shortfall Surpasses $500 Billion, Average Debt Burden Now $110,000 Per Household

By Ted Dabrowski and John Klingner of Wirepoints (click here for a pdf of the report)

Illinois just reached an alarming milestone: each Illinois household is now on the hook for, on average, $110,000 in government-worker retirement debts. That figure is the result of dividing Illinois’ $530 billion in state and local retirement shortfalls among the state’s 4.9 million households. In 2019, the burden was $90,000 per household.

Illinois’ retirement debts increased to $530 billion in 2020, according to a Wirepoints analysis of Moody’s Investors Service debt estimates. This is the first year the credit rating agency’s estimates of Illinois’ retirement debts, made up of both pension and retiree health shortfalls at the state and local level, have broken $500 billion.

Chrystul Kizer: Rittenhouse Defense May be Used to Free Black Teen Who Killed Child Sex Trafficker

Social media lit up with calls for Chrystul Kizer’s acquittal after Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty on Friday, November 19, of killing two men and injuring another at a BLM protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

For those unfamiliar with the case, Kizer was 17 years old when she was charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the shooting death of a Kenosha man named, Volar in 2018, who had been filming sex with underage girls, including Kizer. After shooting Volar, Kizer set his Kenosha home on fire and fled to Milwaukee in his car. At the time, Volar, 34, had been under investigation by Kenosha Police for child sex trafficking. Had he not been killed, Volar would likely have been charged with child sex assault the week he died.

Cuomo Misrepresented COVID-19 Nursing Home Toll, Report Says

ALBANY, N.Y. — The New York Assembly’s investigation into former Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s conduct in office concluded the Democrat’s administration misrepresented how many nursing home residents died of COVID-19, according to a lawmaker who reviewed the committee’s still-secret report.

Assembly Member Phil Steck was among the Assembly Judiciary Committee members who were able to review a copy of the approximately 45-page report Thursday and Friday in advance of its public release, possibly as soon as next week.

The report, compiled by the New York City law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell, covers a wide array of allegations of misconduct by Cuomo, including sexual harassment claims and the participation of his staff in writing his book on the coronavirus pandemic.

GoFundMe to Allow Rittenhouse Fundraisers After Acquittal

Authored by Zachary Stieber via The Epoch Times

GoFundMe will allow fundraisers for Kyle Rittenhouse now that he’s been acquitted, the company said Friday.

The fundraising platform said it banned Rittenhouse fundraisers before because its terms of service “prohibit raising money for the legal defense of an alleged violent crime.” That was the same thing a GoFundMe spokesperson told The Epoch Times last year.

In addition to removing fundraisers that were launched for the teenager’s legal defense, the company removed “hundreds of others” last year that were unrelated to him, it said in a blog post that sought to respond to heightened criticism in the wake of the acquittal.

“If someone is acquitted of those charges, as Rittenhouse was today, a fundraiser started subsequently for their legal defense and other expenses would not violate this policy. A fundraiser to pay lawyers, cover legal expenses, or to help with ongoing living expenses for a person acquitted of those charges could remain active as long as we determine it is not in violation of any of our other terms and, for example, the purpose is clearly stated and the correct beneficiary is added to the fundraiser,” GoFundMe said.

The platform has been accused of taking sides because it has allowed numerous other fundraisers for people accused of violent crimes to remain on the platform.

Houston Methodist Doctor Resigned Following Suspension Over Controversial COVID-19 Tweets

“It is astounding to me that as a medical doctor, I’m not entitled to my own medical opinion.”

Summary:

, Houston Texas (KPRC Channel 2): A medical doctor holds a press conference outside her clinic stating, “It is astounding to me that as a medical doctor, I’m not entitled to my own medical opinion,” after Houston Methodist Hospital goes to the press stating her hospital privileges there have been suspended and the Texas Medical Board reviews whether they should take away her license. That happened shortly after she sent a message to her patients that she believes it should be the patient’s choice whether they get the COVID vaccine, and tweeted the same on her twitter account.

She had previously tried to get the vaccine into her clinic to administer to those patients of hers who wanted it but the vaccine was only distributed to hospitals in her area at first so she gave up that effort. She stated that she thinks the vaccine should be available to those patients who want it.

Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, the medical doctor, said she has treated about 2,000 COVID-19 patients none of whom had to be hospitalized. She treats people with monoclonal antibodies, and various drugs according to clinical experience and data and what her patients are willing to try. One of the drugs that she says she has had very good success with is ivermectin.

She said she is not a person of importance to the hospital but just one of many physicians with practicing privileges and that her practicing privileges in the hospital has been used only a limited amount in her practice, so she was surprised they would go to the press with that announcement and that she found out about her suspension from the press rather than from the hospital, which she said is unusual.

Police Officer Fired Over $25 Donation to Kyle Rittenhouse Demands Job Back After Verdict

A Virginia police officer who was fired for sending a donation to Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense is asking to have his job back now that the teen has been acquitted of murder charges

Norfolk Lieutenant William Kelly was fired in April by city officials for donating $25 to fund the legal fees for Rittenhouse, who fatally shot two people and injured one during a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020.

Kelly was first placed on administrative duty before he was fired as his actions were being investigated.

“I have reviewed the results of the internal investigation involving Lt. William Kelly. Chief Larry Boone and I have concluded Lt. Kelly’s actions are in violation of City and departmental policies,” said Norfolk City Manager Chip Filer in a statement in April.

On Friday, Kelly told the Daily Mail he hopes to have a hearing date by the end of January with regards to going back to work. However, he wants to privately handle the matter before then.

Kelly said that he was only fired because he supported Rittenhouse’s claim of self-defense.

“If I had a different opinion and I donated to a fund for the victims and made comments about how Mr. Rittenhouse was a murderer, nobody would have cared or tried to get me fired,” Kelly said…

Rolling Stone and Journalist Found Guilty Over False Virginia Rape Story

Rolling Stone magazine and a journalist have been found guilty of defamation over a false article about a gang rape at the University of Virginia.

The $7.5m (£6m) lawsuit was brought by Nicole Eramo, an associate dean from the university, who said the article had cast her as the “chief villain”.

The 2014 article, written by Sabrina Rubin Erdely, included the rape claim of an unidentified female student.

The magazine retracted the article in April 2015, citing inconsistencies.

The 9,000-word article, entitled A Rape on Campus, centred on the testimony of a student, referred to as “Jackie”, who claimed to have been gang raped at a party held at the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity’s house in 2012.

An investigation by the Charlottesville Police Department had found no evidence that “Jackie” had been gang raped.

Winsome Sears, CNN Host Spar Over ‘Semantics’ of Whether Critical Race Theory is Taught in Virginia Schools

Lt. Gov.-elect Winsome Sears sparred with CNN host Dana Bash on the existence of critical race theory (CRT) in Virginia schools Sunday.

With her victory alongside Republican Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin, Sears is the first woman of color to be elected statewide in Virginia. She is opposed to CRT, which is based on the premise that U.S. institutions are inherently racist, and has often spoken out on the subject. Bash challenged her guest about the controversial teaching, saying that it is not a part of the Virginia school curriculum. Sears, who previously served on Virginia’s board of education, pushed back on that assessment.

“Well, let me back up, I beg to differ that CRT is not taught,” Sears said.

India: Nine Muslims Arrested for Paying Over 100 Hindus to Convert to Islam

Paying off poor villagers to convert to Islam is nothing new. For instance, in 2016, it emerged that Zakir Naik, described as the “third most popular guru in India,” and deemed “the rock star of tele-evangelism and a proponent of modern Islam,” was paying off the poor to convert to Islam. Naik, whose Peace Channel boasts 100 million viewers, was hailed for his special “gift” of eliciting mass conversions to Islam. But then Mumbai Police investigators revealed that Naik and his non-profit Islamic Research Foundation illegally converted “around 800 people to Islam by paying them using funds received from abroad.”

In mainstream Islam, virtually any form of dawah is permitted in order to spread the religion; the goal is to bring the world under the House of Islam.

The spread of Islam using petrodollars is also well established. There is the Saudi influence in the poor areas of Pakistan, where the Saudis build schools. Selling Wahabbism using economic benefits ensures a hold on the population.

France: Zemmour Fined for Calling Migrants Minors “Thieves, Killers, And Rapists’

On Wednesday, the Paris prosecutor’s office proposed to impose a fine of €10,000 on popular conservative French commentator Éric Zemmour who is widely expected to run for president in France’s upcoming elections, for his past statements about minor migrants. According to the indictment, Zemmour’s statements were “violent.”

Last September, Zemmour was on CNews channel when he said unaccompanied minor migrants are a serious problem for France.

“Each foreign minor costs us €50,000… They are thieves, they are murderers, they are rapists, and that’s all they do. We should send them back,” he said at the time. “Among the these minors, some 40,000 to 50,000 a year cost us [in France] billions [of euros], and feature an enormous delinquency. Germany: Police Conceal Face of Muslim Migrant Rapist of 15-Year-Old Girl in Asking People to Watch for Him

Anything that casts the mass Muslim migration enterprise in a bad light has to be concealed, and so even as the police search for this rapist, they conceal his face from the public, so that as few people as possible get the idea that inundating the country with young men who think unveiled infidel women are theirs for the taking might not have been the greatest idea.

Merkel is Undermining Poland’s Successful Border Defense Strategy

Poland’s defense of its border from migrants forced out of Belarus by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, was an operational and even a military success, with Poland showing that it has efficient crisis response and military readiness in the face of a crisis.

This was also a success in an even more important area: psychology.

Poland turned out to be a state that is able to pass difficult tests, as well as one immune to blackmail, including such heinous cases which involve the cynical use of children. Only truly strong states and nations are able to win such battles.

UK: Lord Green: I’ve Been Warning of the Migration Crisis for 20 Years. But the Left Just Vilified Me — and the Tories Failed to Act

The shambles on the beaches of Kent are a daily reminder of the growing chaos in our asylum and immigration system. Some of us have seen it coming.

Next month marks 20 years since I founded Migration Watch, a small think-tank aiming to set out the facts on immigration in a way the public would understand.

For two decades we have issued warning after warning about the scale of change facing Britain and its consequences. It is now clear we were consistently right.
