Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/14/2021

The mother of Johntra Haley, the alleged shooter who killed two people at a Memphis postal facility, said her son had been bullied at work before he committed his crimes. The alleged perpetrator and both his victims were African Americans, so all of their lives matter. It’s not clear who will pay reparations to whom.

In other news, the Danish man who killed five people with his bow and arrow in the Norwegian town of Kongsberg was a convert to Islam. He was already known to police, and had been flagged for “radicalization”.

Our Economy is Starting to Break Down on a Very Basic Level

Right now, we are already facing the most epic labor shortage in U.S. history, and economic activity is badly gummed up as a result. If millions more qualified people are thrown out of work in the months ahead due to these absurd mandates, that is going to cause unprecedented chaos all across America. A weekend of canceled flights might be bad, but it is nothing compared to the complete and utter nightmare our society will be facing if all of these mandates go through.

[…]

It isn’t just the U.S. economy that is crumbling. Literally, the economic infrastructure of the entire globe is falling to pieces, and experts are warning that things will continue to break down in the months ahead.

So many of the things that you have been warned about are starting to transpire right in front of our eyes, and this winter looks like it will be very dark indeed.

#EmptyShelvesJoe Trending on Twitter Amid Biden’s Supply Chain Crisis

The hashtag #EmptyShelvesJoe shot to the top of the trending topics on Twitter Thursday amid the supply chain crisis threatening the nation’s economy and holiday shopping.

Social media users employed the tagline to rip President Biden for empty shelves and skyrocketing prices caused by a backlog of shipping containers waiting to dock at California ports.

“Just went food shopping…again…thanks #EmptyShelvesJoe I really love having to go every day now in order to find what used to take one trip,” one account wrote, along with a photo of near-empty shelves at a grocery store.

AG Garland’s Potential Conflict of Interest on Son-in-Law’s Firm Backing Critical Race Theory Under Scrutiny

A conservative government watchdog is seeking information related to reports that Attorney General Merrick Garland’s son-in-law is the co-founder of a company that promotes critical race theory (CRT) in the classroom.

America First Legal (AFL) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with DOJ on Wednesday seeking records related to Garland’s Oct. 4 memo, which directed DOJ’s National Security Division and the FBI to investigate “threatening” parents at school board meetings speaking out against CRT.

Biden’s Approval Rating is Now 10% Lower Than Obama at the Same Point of His Presidency and Less Than Half of Americans Trust Him to Get the Country Out of the Pandemic, New Poll Numbers Show

President Joe Biden’s approval rating is 10 points behind President Barack Obama’s at this point in Obama’s presidency, as Biden’s numbers have been battered by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, among other issues.

The Real Clear Politics polling average for Obama on October, 11 2009 stood at 53 per cent approval and 40 per cent disapproval, while Biden currently stands at 43 per cent approval and 52.3 per cent disapproval.

A new Axios/Ipsos poll released Tuesday found that Americans are getting more pessimistic about the pandemic, and losing trust in Biden at the same time.

Big Tech’s Argument That Antitrust Regulation Would Lead to Weaker National Security is Wearing Thin

Big Tech’s monopolistic position in the market does not boost US national security — as argued by the behemoths targeted by antitrust legislation, and by their mouthpieces.

That is the gist of a letter sent to the US House of Representatives by a number of anti-monopoly groups that are seeking to refute such claims made recently by former national security figures — Bloomberg, that has seen the letter, writes.

Bipartisan Senate Bill Seeks to Ban Big Tech From Rigging Search Results

Tech giants like Amazon and Google would be banned from rigging search results to favor their own products under new legislation that a bipartisan group of US senators revealed on Thursday.

News of the bill, which is sponsored by the top Democrat and Republican on the Senate’s antitrust committee, comes just one day after a bombshell Reuters investigation revealed that Amazon allegedly used data on third-party sellers to come up with ideas for its own labels in India — then rigged search results to favor the knockoffs.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), the bill’s top Democratic sponsor and the chair of the Senate’s antitrust subcommittee, said the legislation is needed to rein in Big Tech.

“As dominant digital platforms — some of the biggest companies our world has ever seen — increasingly give preference to their own products and services, we must put policies in place to ensure small businesses and entrepreneurs still have the opportunity to succeed in the digital marketplace,” Klobuchar said in a statement.

Amazon has pushed back against the Reuters investigation of data to rip off third-party sellers — and Jeff Bezos himself told Congress last year that the company doesn’t engage in the practice.

Other sponsors of the antitrust bill, which is called the American Innovation and Choice Online Act, include Republican Sens. Chuck Grassley, Lindsey Graham, John Kennedy and Cynthia Lummis — as well as Democratic Sens. Dick Durbin, Richard Blumenthal and Cory Booker.

In addition to stopping Amazon from ripping off third-party sellers and rigging search results, the bill would prevent Google from prioritizing its own products over rivals in search results.

Creating a Preference Tsumani

So this ties in with Asche and others, to wit the fact that only when we are isolated do we not see the bigger skein of things. When we believe we are alone in our views, surrounded by those who believe in groupthink uniformity differently than we do, we question our own sanity. But as Asche’s experiments noted, once one person stands and is noticed that spell is broken. One leads to another, and another, and another…

Exclusive: Pfizer’s Nervousness About Its COVID Vaccine’s Origins Conceals a Horror Story

In August, the University of Pittsburgh effectively made a horrifying admission. The Center for Medical Progress, which had to enlist the help of Judicial Watch before the university would respond to its Freedom of Information Act request, explained that the school’s GUDMAP program (full name: GenitoUrinary Development Molecular Anatomy Project), with the help of area Planned Parenthood abortion providers, was “allowing babies, some of the age of viability, to be delivered alive, and then killing them by cutting their kidneys out.”

[…]

To harvest a viable embryonic kidney … sufficiently healthy children old enough to have adequately-developed kidneys must be removed from the womb, alive, typically by cesarean section, and have their kidneys cut out. This must take place without anesthesia for the child, which would lessen the viability of the organs.

The deliberate killing of an unwanted child (a little girl, in the case of HEK 293) took place in the tortuous manner it did precisely to obtain her organs for research. The harvest of her organs was the direct cause of her death, prior to which, she was a living child, outside the womb.”

Postal Worker’s Mother Says He Was Bullied Before Shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A U.S. Postal Service letter carrier who shot a manager and a supervisor before killing himself at a Tennessee postal facility was not a violent person and was being bullied at work by his superiors, his mother said Thursday.

Tracey Haley told The Associated Press that her 28-year-old son, Johntra Haley, was the person who shot two postal service co-workers Tuesday at a sorting facility in Memphis.

She said her son had called her and told her he was being bullied by his bosses.

“He was a churchgoing person. It’s just the people at the job was bullying him,” she said. “My son went to that job faithfully every day, worked long hours … comes home stressed because they’re talking to him any kind of way.”

Haley spoke to an AP journalist at the apartment complex where her son lived as postal inspectors took the man’s sister aside for questioning. The inspectors declined comment…

Protesters Take Over Inside of Interior Department in Demonstration Against Fossil Fuels

Dozens of protesters filled the U.S. Department of the Interior building on Thursday for a climate sit-in, following a march through Washington D.C. that attracted hundreds of people, The Washington Post reported.

Those individuals who could not enter the building attempted to push past police to enter the building which led to a shoving altercation and some police using their tasers. This came as the group looked to speak with Interior Department Secretary Deb Haaland who was not in the building at the site of the sit-in, The Post wrote.

Thursday marked the fourth day of protests as part of the ongoing People vs Fossil Fuels demonstrations. These activists demand that President Biden declare a national climate emergency and cease his approval of fossil fuel projects.

Rantz: Seattle School Cancels Halloween Over ‘Equity, ‘ Says Black Kids Don’t Celebrate

A Seattle elementary school canceled Halloween activities over concerns about student equity and inclusion. Specifically, Seattle Public Schools says Black males do not celebrate and, more generally, students of color feel marginalized by the holiday. One parent, however, thinks this is an “exercise in affluent white vanity that is wokeism.”

Benjamin Franklin Day Elementary (B.F. Day) in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood typically hosts Halloween festivities each year. They include a “Pumpkin Parade” where students wear costumes if they choose. But the school administration changed its focus to “foundational beliefs around equity for our students and families,” and, consequently, they’re canceling Halloween.

The Truth: Rejected

A friend sent me a link to a paper in a medical journal which examined the relationship between CoVID injection rates and new case rates in countries around the world. According to the prevailing narrative, high injection rates should result in low rates of new cases, implying what we call a negative association between the variables; in other words, the injection is preventing some new cases. The authors studied their data and announced that (sadly) there was no such relation; high injection rates did not result in lower new case rates.

I looked at their graph and their data and re-analyzed it myself. I discovered that not only was there not a negative association; indeed there was a strong, statistically significant positive association. In other words, higher CoVID injection rates were provably associated with higher new case rates. Wow.

What did your trusty data guy do? Quickly write up the results and send them to the principal author of the original paper, a professor at a well-known university. No answer.

No problem! I just sent this in as a two-page “short communication” to the journal that published the original paper. My discovery does not invalidate the original paper; in some ways it reinforces and strengthens their conclusion.

The journal just replied and said they will not publish it. They couldn’t find anything wrong mathematically, but — they just didn’t think it was all that important.

Threatening Messages Reportedly Directed at Rhode Island Teacher Who Opposes Critical Race Theory

A Rhode Island middle school teacher said she’s facing harassment after openly opposing the teaching of critical race theory .

Ramona Bessinger, who teaches at Esek Hopkins Middle School, claimed that the racial ideology led to taunting from students and colleagues alike. One student called her “America” because she is white, and a staff member accused her of having “white privilege,” she said.

After speaking out about teaching policies centered on the ideology and whistleblowing on the school’s alleged encouragement to participate in “white educator affinity groups,” Bessinger was notified on Oct. 5 that she had to attend a “pre-disciplinary hearing” Wednesday — not for her views, but for violating a school safety procedure during a lockdown.

Photographs, allegedly of Bessinger’s classroom whiteboard from when she was not present, appear to show threatening messages including “F*** ya b****,” “Bye you fired,” “b****,” “Fire Ms. Bessinger,” and many other scribbled phrases suggesting she leave.

Walmart vs. Whiteness

Walmart Inc. has launched a critical race theory training program that denounces the United States as a “white supremacy system” and teaches white, hourly wage employees that they are guilty of “white supremacy thinking” and “internalized racial superiority.”

According to a cache of internal documents I have obtained from a whistleblower, Walmart launched the program in 2018 in partnership with the Racial Equity Institute, a Greensboro, North Carolina, consulting firm that has worked extensively with universities, government agencies, and private corporations. The program is based on the core principles of critical race theory, including “intersectionality,” “internalized racial oppression,” “internalized racial inferiority,” and “white anti-racist development.” Since the program’s launch, Walmart has trained more than 1,000 employees and made the program mandatory for executives and recommended for hourly wage workers in Walmart stores. When reached for comment, Walmart confirmed that the company has “engaged REI for a number of training sessions since 2018” and has “found these sessions to be thought provoking and constructive.”

Zuckerberg’s Election Spending Was ‘Carefully Orchestrated’ To Influence 2020 Vote: Ex-FEC Member

A former federal election official on Thursday called the $400 million-plus that Mark Zuckerberg spent to help finance local elections a “carefully orchestrated attempt” to influence the 2020 vote — and recommended that all states ban private funding of election offices.

Hans von Spakovsky, a former Federal Election Commission member, said the billionaire Facebook founder’s donations to a pair of nonprofits that doled out the cash to nearly 2,500 counties in 49 states “violated fundamental principles of equal treatment of voters since it may have led to unequal opportunities to vote in different areas of a state.”

“My reaction is that this was a carefully orchestrated attempt to convert official government election offices into get-out-the-vote operations for one political party and to insert political operatives into election offices in order to influence and manipulate the outcome of the election,” said von Spakovsky, a Republican who now runs the Heritage Foundation’s Election Law Reform Initiative.

Germany: Cologne Mosques to Begin Outdoor Broadcasting of Muslim Call to Prayer

Acceding to demands from Islamic organizations sponsored by the Turkish government, the city of Cologne, once a stronghold of Christendom in Germany, has authorized mosques in the city to begin sounding Muslim calls to prayer over outdoor loudspeakers. The move, ostensibly aimed at promoting multicultural diversity and inclusion, represents a significant step toward the cultural normalization of Islam in Germany. It is taking German multiculturalism into uncharted territory.

Observers believe that Cologne — famous for its cathedral, the largest Gothic church in northern Europe — is establishing a national precedent, and that many of the more than 3,000 mosques in Germany will soon also begin publicly calling Muslims to prayer. They say that German towns and cities will evoke the sounds and images of the Islamic Middle East.

Italy: Night Clubs to Open to 50% Capacity, Culture Venues 100%

Stadiums can go up to 75% of capacity

(ANSA) — ROME, OCT 8 — Premier Mario Draghi’s government has given the all-clear for Italy’s indoor night clubs to reopen to 50% of capacity from Monday and for cultural venues such as cinemas and theatres to reopen 100%, rather than being half full as they have been up to now.

The night club sector is the last one to be allowed to reopen as COVID-19 restrictions are eased thanks to improved contagion data and high levels of vaccination coverage.

The government has gone further than the recommendations of its CTS panel of expert advisors on the battle against the coronavirus, which had suggested reopening the night clubs to 50% of capacity.

Outdoor clubs will be able to run at 75% of capacity.

Clubbers will have to have the Green Pass vaccine passport to enter the establishments, which are only allowed to open if they are in a low COVID risk white zones.

Customers will not have to wear facemasks on the dance floor but they will in other areas of the clubs.

Stadiums will be able allow in spectators to 75% of capacity, rather than 50% at the moment, while indoor sports venues will be able to go up to 60%.

Attacks on Durgapuja in Many Places in Bangladesh by Jihadi Elements

Hindus denied with Durga Puja at Sankhanidhi Premises in Dhaka. Reports of attacks on Durga Puja coming from various parts of Islamic Bangladesh.

Upasana Das | HENB | Dhaka | Oct 13, 2021:: When the Bangladesh Nation is celebrating Durgapuja as the biggest festival for Bengali Hindus, the capital city Dhaka has witnessed a violation of rights of worship for minority Hindus. The local Hindus could not worship Devi Durga at the historic Sankhannidhi Radha Govind Jiu Temple on Tipu Sultan Road in Dhaka.

History tells us the 100 yrs old Shankhanidhi Premises built in 1921 by two Hindu merchant brothers, Lal Mohan Saha and Gour Nitai Saha, which was famous for its festivity of all Hindu celebration ranging Dol, Durgotsav, Deepavali and so on.

But, the scourge of partition in 1947 and in the violent anti Hindu turn during the liberation war in 1971, many Hindus compelled to leave their homeland in East Bengal (the erstwhile East Pakistan and now Islamic Bangladesh).

In such a turn the original Hindu owners of Sankhanidhi Premises left the country and the Muslims hooligans gradually used to encroach the building step by step. All the Hindu residents of the building were driven out and even the Radha Govind Jiu Temple in Sakhanidhi premises kept locked and key. In these circumstances all the Temple worship and Hindu festivals were stopped by the Muslim miscreants.

The Radha Govind Jiu Temple Trust and Hindu Math-Mandir Uddhar Samity (Monastery-Temple Reclaim Foundation) have been trying to get possession of the Radha Govind Jiu Temple and to start the Durga Puja in Sankhanidhi Premises for last 15 years.

But, as per a report of Daily Star dt 25.4.2007, the whole Sankhanidhi bulding was turned as a garage and motor workshop by local Muslims forcefully. Though, the building was declared as Heritage Building by Bangladesh Govt, the two third portion of the building was leased by ADC (Revenue), Dhaka to three Muslims named Sujon Sattar, ASM Khaled and Kanchan Ibrahim Dey on Feb 2000 and one third portion of the building was occupied by Bangladesh Engineering Shilpo Malik Samity. The members of this association had allegiance to the BNP once upon a time, but now they are very much close to ruling party Awami League…

  2. More and more French politicians support the judgment of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal from Poland.
“Western Europe has contempt for the small nations of the eastern EU”

More and more French politicians support Poland in a dispute with the European Commission. Many of them believe that the CJEU exceeds its competences, and that the sovereignty of the state should take precedence over EU law. The French press speaks in a similar vein.

Leading Republican nominee for the Elysee Palace, Valerie Pecresse said on CNN News:

“Europe exercises power within the framework of treaties that override our legislation but cannot override our constitutional identity, neither Poland nor France.”

She admitted that she was “shocked” by the ruling of the Court of Justice of the EU ordering the liquidation of the Polish Disciplinary Chamber of the Supreme Court.

    “People’s sovereignty should prevail”
In turn, Xavier Bertrand (who enjoys the greatest support among Republicans) believes that the government in Paris should create “a mechanism to protect France’s strategic interests. When they come into play, the sovereignty of the people should prevail.

In turn, Michel Barnier, asked in BFMTV about the judgment of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal, said that although, in general, European law should take precedence over national law, “not with regard to the French constitution”.

As calculated by the daily Le Monde, the ruling of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal is already supported by ten candidates in the presidential election, including the Republican deputy Eric Ciotti. A similar position was taken by the communist Fabien Roussel and the former Minister of Industry, Arnaud Montebourg, representing the Socialist Party. The latter admitted on Radio Europe 1 that “the fact that a member state wants to emphasize the superiority of national law is the way France should go. .. “In the end, the Poles democratically elected their government. And the Union has always believed that the observance of the treaties was more important than democratic decisions.”

Eric Zemmour was the first French presidential candidate to react to the verdict of the Constitutional Tribunal.

“In France, we have to learn from this federalist coup that the European Commission tried. I fully support the Polish nation and its government in enforcing their legal order. “… he commented.

Marine Le Pen followed in his footsteps shortly thereafter.
The French press leaves no doubt
The daily Le Figaro recalled that the German court in Karlsruhe also rejected CJEU judgments.

.. “The difference in reactions to the sentences in Germany and Poland shows well the contempt that Western Europe has towards the small nations of Eastern Europe” … assessed the newspaper. The leftist “L’Opinion” made a similar statement. The analysis of one of the famous political scientists emphasized that “it is time to clarify the matter and make it clear in the European treaties that, regardless of the competences assigned to it, the Union is an international organization and the law it creates gives way to the provisions of national constitutions”.

  7. From right now, rubber bullets and tear gas..allowed..deadly forces only in own life saving scenario..
But there is no need.98 % is repeal..never reach Motherland soil..Some snick and they are catched..place in the detention centers..checked on terrorist involvement in the past and present time * In detention centers they are people helping hands from yours HNS and CIA ..some from Mossad) Thanks for that..
After they are sorted out ..20-25 % arrested and send to :-)) known countries for farther considerations ( Guantamo ? ) :-))
There is a wide spread impression ,that some of them are purposely allowed to “snick on Polish side” after a face recognition proces ,when they i daily light exposing themself to the soldiers with special cameras hold from distance 3-4 feet from theirs face :-))
Than target ot night is allowed to ” sneak in ” There is already an invitation party waiting for him ..Some most prominent ISSIS figure where catched ( 11 ,high Regional commanders ) :-)) Not a bad fishing skills and tactics..Chickens coming to the rost by themself and paying for it from own packets :-))
..Rest illegals are expel and denied asylum based on UN regulation ” you have to apply for asylum in a first safe country you reached ” ..and directly from detention center put on charter plane and send back to Turkey and Irak..Frontex making arrangements (upon deal with Polish governments in this regards) with Polish airlines and paying for it 100 % ..
That’s how is done in Poland..the land of ” stupid Polacks Untermesch”..
