“Hit the Pause Button”: Manchin Throws Democrats’ $3.5 Trillion Plan Into Disarray

Moderate Democratic Senator Joe Manchin (WV) has called on fellow Democrats to “hit the pause button” on their $3.5 trillion economic blueprint, throwing the tax-and-spending plan into disarray.

According to Bloomberg, Manchin said this week that “runaway inflation” and uncertainty over Afghanistan-fueled national security risks warrants a ‘go-slow’ approach and a possible rethinking of the plan.

A Tougher Bill Aimed at Keeping Critical Race Theory Out of Texas Schools Heads to Gov. Abbott

This story has been updated to reflect the Senate’s vote on the bill.

After months of back-and-forth over critical race theory, the House passed a bill that educators worry could further limit educators’ ability to teach about racism, race and possibly even current events.

The legislation seeks to toughen efforts to ban the teaching of critical race theory, an academic framework that probes the way policies and laws uphold systemic racism.

The bill passed 84-41, largely along party lines, after members debated throughout Thursday afternoon. The Senate agreed with the House’s changes, so the bill is now headed to Gov. Greg Abbott’s desk. Abbott is expected to sign the bill after making the issue one of his key priorities for the special session.

ACLU Says the State Forcing People to Take Vaccines is a Victory for Civil Liberties

The ACLU has published an article in the New York Times followed up by a tweet which asserts that the government forcing people to take vaccines is a victory for civil liberties.

No, this isn’t out of the Babylon Bee.

“Far from compromising them, vaccine mandates actually further civil liberties,” the organization’s tweet ludicrously claimed. “They protect the most vulnerable, people with disabilities and fragile immune systems, children too young to be vaccinated, and communities of color hit hard by the disease.”

President Biden had a disastrous August. His poll numbers tumbled to their lowest point of his presidency, and much of that had to do with the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Harvard Epidemiologist Says the Case for COVID Vaccine Passports Was Just Demolished

Authored by Jon Miltimore via the Foundation for Economic Educcation (emphasis ours)

A newly published medical study found that infection from COVID-19 confers considerably longer-lasting and stronger protection against the Delta variant of the virus than vaccines.

“The natural immune protection that develops after a SARS-CoV-2 infection offers considerably more of a shield against the Delta variant of the pandemic coronavirus than two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, according to a large Israeli study that some scientists wish came with a ‘Don’t try this at home’ label,” the Scientific American reported Thursday. “The newly released data show people who once had a SARS-CoV-2 infection were much less likely than vaccinated people to get Delta, develop symptoms from it, or become hospitalized with serious COVID-19.”

State Looks to Curb Illegal Gatherings Amid Holiday

Pointing to scenarios where beaches — such as Makena’s Pu’u Ola’i —were temporarily shut down due to large, illegal gatherings during the pandemic, officials warned against such parties at parks and beaches statewide during the upcoming holiday weekend.

The warnings from officials with the state Department of Land and Natural Resources and the University of Hawaii on Wednesday came in the wake of a massive beach party along East Oahu’s Kaiwi coastline.

DLNR said during a Wednesday news conference that 300 to 400 people were disbanded at the Oahu party last Saturday, while four people were cited for unpermitted equipment in a state park. Officials doubled down against claims they didn’t issue more citations, saying that law enforcement’s primary mission during that incident was to efficiently disburse the crowd due to COVID-19 risks.

Radical Rewrite of German Political Map Could be Imminent

Never in the history of Germany has the position of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) been so precarious in the election polls, emphasizes historian and sociologist Reiner Zitelmann. In a comment to the National Interest portal, he pointed to April last year when the party of the current chancellor, Angela Merkel, led with 38 percent of support. However, currently, the CDU is polling between only 21 and 24 percent.

The author cites the CDU’s weak candidate for chancellor, Armin Laschet, as one of the reasons for the declining support of the party. Laschet, as prime minister of the most populous federal state of Rhineland-Westphalia, has not yet been able to inspire his party or the wider electorate.

Report: COVID-19 Has Permanently Divided Europe

The recent European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) survey, which concerned the 12 leading EU member states, has revealed highly worrying trends for the future of integration.

The financial crisis from 10 years ago divided the EU into the poorer south and the wealthier north, while the 2015 migration crisis divided the union into the immigration restrictionist east and multicultural west.

It turns out that the pandemic has also created divides, yet even more severe and deep ones. On one side there is the EU’s south and east, where the majority of respondents believe that the pandemic affected them personally, be it health-wise or economically. Yet, in the north and western parts of the EU, the majority of the citizens looked at the pandemic as a kind of macabre spectacle which did not concern them.

New Zealand’s PM Say Incident at Supermarket Was a “Terrorist Attack”

New Zealand police shot and killed a “violent extremist” who stabbed and wounded at least six people in an Auckland supermarket.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described the event as a “terrorist attack” by a Sri Lankan national who was under surveillance.

The man, who cannot be identified, is said to have been inspired by the Islamic State terrorist group.

PM Ardern said he was killed within 60 seconds of the attack by police.

“What happened today was despicable, it was hateful it was wrong,” said PM Ardern in a press conference on Friday afternoon.

She said the man, whose identity cannot be revealed due to suppression orders, had arrived in New Zealand in October 2011 and became a person of national security interest in 2016.

He had been under constant monitoring and heavy surveillance due to concerns about his ideology.

However, questions have been raised about why action against him was not taken before six people were injured.

“The reality is, that when you are surveilling someone on a 24/7 basis, it is not possible to be immediately next to them at all times. The staff intervened as quickly as they could and they prevented further injury in what was a terrifying situation,” said Police Commissioner Andrew Coster.

One witness had earlier told news outlet Stuff NZ that it had been a scene of hysteria…

Under life-threatening circumstances, journalist Shams Ul-Haq met with Mujahid for an interview for the Kronen Zeitung.

“Yes. They would be taken to court. The court would then have to decide how to proceed with them,” Zabihullah said when he was asked whether Afghanistan would take back deportees from countries like Austria and Germany who are looking to deport Afghans convicted of crimes.

Danish Minister: It Was Wrong to Criticize Hungary’s Strict Immigration Policies

“It was a mistake to criticize Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for raising a barbed wire wall at the border in 2015,” Danish Minister of Immigration and Integration Mattias Tesfaye told the press after the meeting of EU interior ministers in Brussels.

“As is well known, initially the majority of European leaders strongly criticized the establishment of the southern border lock, but now more and more people acknowledge that the Hungarian prime minister was right in the migration debate,” Tesfaye said.

He also said after the debate on the expected wave of migrants from Afghanistan that the events of 2015 should not be repeated.

Victor Orban: “Migration Must be Stopped”

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban told a forum of leaders in Slovenia that “migration must be stopped” in order to preserve Europe’s cultural heritage.

Speaking during a roundtable discussion at the International Strategy Forum (BSF) in Bled, Orban asserted that mass migration from Muslim countries was not a reasonable solution to the continent’s demographic decline.

“We do not need outsiders, because they are changing the composition of European societies, the cultural image of Europe, the Christian, family-based system,” Orban said, noting that the overwhelming majority of migrants were Muslim.

Supreme Court Votes 5-4 to Leave Texas Abortion Law in Place

WASHINGTON — A deeply divided Supreme Court is allowing a Texas law that bans most abortions to remain in force, for now stripping most women of the right to an abortion in the nation’s second-largest state.

The court voted 5-4 to deny an emergency appeal from abortion providers and others that sought to block enforcement of the law that went into effect Wednesday. But the justices also suggested that their order likely isn’t the last word on whether the law can stand because other challenges to it can still be brought.

  1. 2015 Starts all over again!!, thanks to Merkel&CO, she is the main reason why this Islamic invasion never ends, I hope Poland stop this madness and send them back straight to Lukaszenko and Putin , to conspiracy theory monsters

  2. Watch, the NZ terrorist act will be underplayed, because (a) it wasn’t done by a white guy and (b) it can’t be repurposed to push gun control.

  3. You really have to love our Dear Leaders who rule our domains with such wisdom and integrity. Benevolent despots like Joey Demento and Herr Merkel for example.

The former United States of America effectively has no more borders and the scum of the earth, the worst of the worst illiterate criminal savages and barbarians, are flooding in from literally all over the world.

Nothing is too good for these vermin, thanks to the US tax slaves. While we Americans are being forced to get injected with medications, our children are being suffocated in their classrooms and the unclean unvaxxed are told we should not think of traveling this weekend, the barbarian hordes do whatever they please, regardless of the plagues they are carrying.

But I digress. Here is an example of something they are doing right. Something that should give us all hope.

In the midst of the insanity,

“An Afghan man who was evacuated from the war-torn country to Germany has been detained after he was flagged during a security screening, America’s top military commander in Europe said Thursday.”

Just think, they actually managed to detain ONE MAN! Can you believe it?

Now that’s what I call efficiency and vigilance.

    • Certainly that orc was worth several of the military working dogs left behind in his stead.

        • And yet the first concern of the useless
          New Zealand Prime Minister is
About a “back Lash” towards the
          Muslim Community.

No doubt she’ll resort to wearing
          The hijab in solidarity again.

You couldn’t make it up if you tried!

          • Make it up, no. But predict it, yes.
She also says, He was a Lone Wolf, inspired by isil. Completely downplaying it and keeping his other “obvious particulars” out of it.

Unlike of course the Evil White Supremacist Tarrant (who actually believes whites are currently far from superior, and actually just wants separation like so many others do) Who is a Stark Representation of ALL WHITE MALE DOMINATED SOCIETIES.

            Yeah, I mean, whaddawe do??
