1 Dead and 12 Injured in Series of Arizona Shootings

One person was killed and 12 more were injured Thursday after a gunman went on a shooting spree across cities in the West Valley area of Arizona, police said. A suspect has been taken into custody, and officials said they believe he is the only shooter.

At around 11 a.m. local time, police officers in Peoria, Arizona, responded to reports of a person in a white SUV who had fired at another vehicle, Sergeant Brandon Sheffert of the Peoria Police Department said during a preliminary press briefing on Thursday. Over the next hour and a half, the suspect fired shots at seven more locations before he was taken into custody, Sheffert said.

The suspect was taken into custody around 12:42 p.m. local time in Surprise, Arizona, and “complied completely” with law enforcement, Sheffert said. He has not yet been named, but police said he is an adult male. Sheffert said a weapon was recovered from the suspect’s vehicle…

2 Portland Men Plead Not Guilty to Riot Charges in April Protest of Police Killing

Two Portland men accused of criminal mischief and rioting pleaded not guilty to all charges Wednesday.

Theodore Matthee-O’Brien, 22, a former Reed College student, is accused of breaking windows at the Oregon Historical Society during a protest on April 16. The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office also charged Matthee-O’Brien with smashing windows at Nordstrom and the U.S. Bancorp Tower during protests over the police killing of Robert Delgado in the Lents neighborhood earlier that day.

At a news conference in April, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler called for Reed to expel Matthee-O’Brien if convicted.

Matthee-O’Brien recently graduated from Reed with a degree in anthropology.

Matthee-O’Brien has also pleaded not guilty to charges related to a different protest on Jan. 20, including riot, interfering with a peace officer and second-degree disorderly conduct.

Jarrid Huber, 21, of Portland is accused of pushing a dumpster against the Justice Center and setting it on fire during a May 25 protest. He’s also accused of spray-painting buildings and breaking windows of several downtown businesses. Huber pleaded not guilty to arson, criminal mischief and riot charges in court on Wednesday.

Gun Evidence Detailed in Winston Boogie Smith, Junior Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Newly filed court documents detail gun evidence recovered from the scene of a fatal shooting of a driver during an arrest attempt by members of a federal task force in Minneapolis.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has said evidence indicates Winston Boogie Smith Jr., who was Black, fired his gun before he was killed June 3 in a parking ramp in the city’s Uptown neighborhood by members of a U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force. Authorities have said Smith was wanted on a warrant for being a felon in possession of a gun.

Search warrant affidavits filed this week in Hennepin County District Court show that 15 cartridge casings from police firearms were found outside of the SUV in which Smith was sitting and six cartridge casings from another gun were found inside.

According to one affidavit, a Smith and Wesson M&P 380 pistol was also recovered from the driver’s side of the SUV and the six casings found inside matched the pistol. Following the shooting, the BCA said a handgun and spent cartridge cases were found inside the driver’s area…

CRT teaches that America is fundamentally racist, yet it teaches individuals to view every social interaction and person in terms of race. Its adherents pursue “antiracism” through the end of merit, objective truth and the adoption of race-based policies.

The move by officers to disband their own team came a day after Officer Cody Budworth was indicted and accused of fourth-degree assault stemming from a baton strike against a protester last summer.

Portugal: Ronaldo Coke Rejection Prompts Calls for Other Sports Stars to Ditch Junk Sponsors

Football star Cristiano Ronaldo’s public rejection of Coca-cola this week has prompted health campaigners to call for other sports stars to step up and ditch junk food and drink sponsors.

As highlighted in the video below, Coke is massively unhealthy, and its presence as a sponsor of the Euro 2020 tournament is akin to a tobacco company plastering its logos all over the Olympics.

UK: Lockdown ‘Dystopia’: Dozens of Tories Rebel — But Not Enough to Save ‘Freedom Day’

Dozens of Conservative MPs rebelled and voted against extending restrictions — but not enough to stop the measures being passed, with 491 MPs backing the plans.

Some 60 Members of Parliament voted against the extension last night, of which were 49 Conservative lawmakers, with the notional Opposition Labour Party backing the measures which will delay the end of lockdown from June 21st to July 19th.

Lockdown sceptic Sir Desmond Swayne likened the delay to actions taken by the “communist party”, according to The Telegraph, telling the House of Commons on Wednesday night: “I could understand it if we were a communist party, but this is the party that inherited the true wisdom of the Whig tradition.

“This is the party of Margaret Thatcher, who said that liberty was indivisible. This is the party that only recently elected a leader that they believed, that we believed, was a libertarian, so there is much on which we are going to have to reflect.”

UK: Top MP Javid Slams Child Marriage as ‘Child Abuse’, Admits it’s ‘Prevalent in Certain Communities’

Conservative MP Sajid Javid has said allowing children under 18 to marry is “child abuse”, admitting it was a cultural practice “prevalent in certain communities”.

Mr Javid, who had served as home secretary and chancellor of the exchequer, made the remarks after drafting a Bill to scrap the legal loophole which allows underaged people to be coerced into marriages. Under current law, 16— and 17-year-olds can marry with their parents’ consent in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. In Scotland, the legal age to marry without parental support is 16.

Web Censorship is Growing in Czechia But the Government is Doing Little to Stop It

The Alliance for the Family organization, which is well-regarded in Czechia, seems to be the latest victim of internet censorship in the country. On Twitter, the Alliance announced that it had been censored on Facebook and there are concerns it could presage a complete ban.

“According to Facebook, the Alliance for the Family violates community standards. We keep saying that a child needs a dad and a mom. But we are not permitted to say such things in this new, beautiful, and rainbow society,” the organization wrote, describing the censorship as a “funeral”.

Civilian Killings Rise in NE Syrian al-Hol Camp

About 20 in a month, blamed on ‘IS cells’

19 February, 15:56

BEIRUT — The number of killings of civilians has risen recently in a refugee camp in northeastern Syria: over the past month, about 20 people including both male and female IDPs have been killed in the al-Hol camp.

The killings have been attributed to Islamic State cells, according to local and international humanitarian organizations.

Located near the Syrian-Iraqi border in the Syrian region of Hasakah, the camp has for the past two years hosted tens of thousands of mostly Syrian and Iraqi IDPs from areas where IS had been present between 2014 and 2019.

The camp, which some have called a “small Islamic State”, is officially run by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by the US-led coalition against the Islamic State.

It had been created in the 1990s to host Iraqi refugees during the Gulf Wars.

Since December 2018, the al-Hol camp has gradually filled with tens of thousands of mostly Syrians fleeing regions in eastern Syria in which a military campaign led by the coalition-backed SDF ended officially in Syria in the spring of 2019.

The camp currently hosts about 65,000 people, around half of whom hold Iraqi nationality.

Most of the camp inhabitants are women and children.

China Carries Out Yet Another Attack on Press in Hong Kong

Chinese authorities in Hong Kong arrested five top executives at the pro-democracy newspaper Apple Daily on Wednesday in the latest show of force against pro-democracy groups in the now-authoritarian city.

Chinese authorities dismantled Hong Kong’s longstanding democratic system in early 2020 and have since cracked down harder and harder on the remaining organizations in the city that support democracy. Apple Daily is a tabloid owned by Hong Kong billionaire Jimmy Lai, a longstanding opponent of Beijing and perhaps the country’s leading advocate for democracy. Police raided the offices and arrested the executives on Wednesday, saying they had a warrant for the search and seizure of journalistic materials, Reuters reported.

LinkedIn Censors Swedish Journalist’s Profile in China After He References Tiananmen Square Thesis

Microsoft-owned LinkedIn has censored the profile of Swedish journalist Jojje Olsson in China after he included a single sentence in the “Education” section of his profile that referenced his thesis on the Tiananmen Square massacre and the Cultural Revolution.

LinkedIn is one of the few Western social networks to not be blocked in China because of its willingness to “implement the Chinese government’s restrictions on content” and apply these restrictions to the profiles of non-Chinese users when they’re viewed from China.

By introducing this censored version of LinkedIn in China, the US platform has grown its Chinese user base to 53 million users and China is now its third-largest market.

Scientist Admits Peers Didn’t Promote Lab-Leak Theory Because Trump Did

Alina Chan, a molecular biologist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, admitted in an interview published Wednesday that many scientists didn’t want to acknowledge the possibility of the lab-leak theory of COVID-19 origin last year because it was associated with former President Donald Trump.

In May, Chan joined 17 other scientists to publish a letter in Science calling for more investigation into the theory that COVID-19 accidentally escaped a Wuhan lab in China. The evidence available in support of the lab-leak theory has not substantially changed in recent months, but corporate media, government officials and scientists have largely become more accepting of the possibility that the pandemic originated that way.

Nearly 800,000 Have Fled Brutal Islamist Advance in Mozambique

An estimated 70,000 residents of Palma, a city of 75,000 in northern Mozambique, have fled the city in the past three months, the UN refugee agency announced on June 11—bringing to nearly 800,000 the total of those displaced by the Islamist insurgency in Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado Province (map).

Launched in 2017, the insurgency is led by Ansar al-Sunna, with support from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS).

Neighboring Tanzania is refusing to admit refugees, and “those pushed back from Tanzania end up in a dire situation at the border and are exposed to gender-based violence and health risks as many are sleeping in the open at night in extreme cold without blankets or a roof over their heads,” said Babar Baloch, spokesman for the UN refugee agency.

Poll: 6 in 10 French People Favor a Referendum to Limit Immigration

More than six in ten French people are in favor of a referendum to limit immigration, according to a survey by the CSA Institute for CNews, and considering National Rally leader Marine Le Pen’s promise to hold an immigration referendum if she is elected, the poll results could be a boost to her election chances.

This study was carried out on a sample of 1,000 people representative of the French population over 18, via an online questionnaire. More precisely, 62 percent of French people are for a referendum on immigration, with 35 percent of people “completely in favor” and 27 percent of “somewhat favorable”.

Conversely, 19 percent of those polled are totally against the establishment of a referendum on immigration. To these, 18 percent of rather opposed respondents were added, which makes this idea unfavorable for a total of 37 percent of people.

Spain: 132 Irregular Migrants Intercepted in Almeria as Warm Weather Encourages Crossings

The Guardia Civil intercepted 40 illegal migrants in the 24-hour period between Tuesday and Wednesday in a series of small boats in waters close to the coast of Almeria and located another 92 who had managed to reach dry land, Interior Ministry sources have reported.

Most of the migrants were found between Almeria city and Carboneras. The group included men, women and minors of Moroccan North African and sub-Saharan origins, who have all been transferred to the CATE migrant transit centre in Almeria fishing port.

Commonly known in Spanish as ‘pateras’, small boats packed with illegal migrants from Africa reach Andalusian waters on a regular basis. The Guardia Civil generally intercept the vessels before, or shortly after, they reach land and before taking them to the Red Cross for PCR testing and medical checkovers before they are sent to temporary migrant centres for repatriation. However, migrants have the right to request asylum and cannot be expelled from the country until their cases are resolved, which can cause considerable delays and severe overcrowding at the centres as their cases are investigated.

Diplomats Engaging in Pro-LGBT Propaganda Are a Disgrace, Says Senior Polish Editor

Diplomats who come to a foreign land and engage in propaganda attempting to change society exceed their powers and disgrace the countries they represent, argues Pawel Lisicki, the editor-in-chief of Do Rzeczy weekly.

Lisicki was asked about foreign diplomats engaging in LGBT pride month in Poland in an interview for Polish Christiana portal, calling it a “scandal”. He believes it a sign of disrespect and arrogance to lecture another nation on its social customs and engage in propaganda for an alternative lifestyle. He hoped that Polish ambassadors would never engage in ideological campaigns on their missions.

  1. Anytime I hear of the libbies and ghetto goons crying racism, I remember that tidbit of Russian history regarding the Bolshevik revolution. They criticized Tsarist Russia as being racist in the same ways as our modern communists. The Bolsheviks then used their countless gripes against “systemic racism” to justify their uprising. It’s truly a pity that Tsar Nicholas II didn’t respond to the communist fools by eradicating them before they could butcher his family and throw Russia into a communist nightmare for the next three generations.

Likewise, it’s pitiful that the western world is going through the same pattern of events as Tsarist Russia, only now it’s with our modern communist parasites and their useful idiots, the blacks.

    • Well, I hear the czar and czarina were not the shapest knives in the drawer.

Neither was the archduke whose assassination “started the WWI”. He spent most of his time killing animals for trophies.

Maybe it became clear to someone that these people were “expendable” for a larger agenda?

      • Vera, Actually, ole Arch Duke Ferdinand was a smart guy for he delegated authority that worked great for the most part. As for the Czar and his family, they should have seen that coming and used the army to nip it in the bud before it grew out of hand, like we should be doing now.

        • The Archduke and Tsar Nicholas look like geniuses compared with the puppet who currently occupies the Oval Office.

        • Romanovs did see it coming but Britain refused to take the family in asthey wanted to keep the Bolsheviks as allies in the war. Read the book by Coryne Hall wherein the British govt allowed the kings cousins? To be massacred. The British have a lot to answer for in regard to the Communist revolution which set up the foundations for most of the problems in the twentieth century. When you read the number of times the British have failed their allies and enabled dictators to flourish you have to worry if they will ever be a reliable ally for anyone unless there is self interest. Imagine not taking in your cousins then reading they have been massacred? What kind of morality is that?
Don’t trust them myself to help Australia against China as it is not really in their self interest so best to have a LEAVE plan

          • Like you I do have a problem with the bloody Brits, they turned Europe into a bloodbath that cost us our best and brightest and has made war in western European countries inevitable with the 3rd world invasion taking place.

  2. So does the exploding mine cause the tipping? Where did the tipping take place? Guam maybe?

  3. I wonder if someone would steal that statue, 700 pounds of bronze is worth alot of money to buy drugs it is in the middle of Newark . Newark has the highest stolen car rates in America,s, North East ,one of the highest murder rates, one of the highest unemployment rates, high children born out of wedlock rates, in a democratic run city for decades .To think the good people of Newark have a statue of a unreformed, violent ,drug addicted felon to look up to bring hope to their lives the official saint of BLM. This is the best the leadership of Newark can do? This is what they spend taxpayers money on?
