Gates of Vienna News Feed 3/4/2020

Hungary has now recorded its first confirmed cases of the Wuhan Coronavirus. Meanwhile, the Italian government ordered the shutdown of all schools, cinemas, and other public gatherings. Also, what is thought to be the first human-to-animal transmission of the disease — from a coronavirus patient to his dog — was reported in Hong Kong.

In other news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose more than 1,000 points after Bernie Sanders’ unexpectedly poor showing in the Super Tuesday primaries.

Canadians’ Cost of Borrowing Going Down Amid Virus Concerns

OTTAWA — The Bank of Canada slashed its key interest rate target by half a percentage point, dropping it to 1.25 per cent in what economists saw as a rapid response to the growing economic shock from the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The central bank said Wednesday that it cut its target for the overnight rate because COVID-19, as the virus is named, was “a material negative shock” to Canada’s already softening economic outlook.

Dow Surges 1,000 Points After Bernie Sanders Struggles on Super Tuesday

Stocks soared upward on Wednesday following Joe Biden’s smashing success in the Super Tuesday primaries, an indication of investor confidence in the wake of socialist candidate Bernie Sanders’ apparently lagging momentum in the 2020 races.

The Dow was up over 4 percent Wednesday afternoon, jumping 1,042 points, a particularly notable leap after last week’s stock market carnage as fears of the coronavirus intensified. The S&P 500 was also up by 3.4 percent, with the Nasdaq rising 2.9 percent.

Sanders has campaigned on a platform of radically upending the American economy with greatly increased regulations and major new taxes to fund federal entitlement programs such as Medicare-for-All. Biden is widely regarded as more moderate than Sanders.

ECB and BoE Expected to Take Immediate Policy Action on Coronavirus Impact

The European Central Bank (ECB) and the Bank of England are expected to announce stimulus measures in the coming days, after the Federal Reserve surprised global markets with a large rate cut.

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell announced an emergency rate cutTuesday to deal with the ongoing outbreak of the coronavirus and its economic impact. The virus that started in China in late December has spread worldwide, denting exports and reducing air travel.

“The ECB will almost certainly try to intervene,” Florian Hense, European economist at Berenberg bank said Wednesday.

After Years of Indoctrination Democrat Voters Now Favor Socialism Over Capitalism

After years of indoctrination and ignorance Democrat voters now favor the failed practice of socialism over capitalism.

Making your own requires toughness and self esteem.

Antifa Podcast Falsely Accuses Andy NGO of Violence and Terrorism

The self-professed “anarchist, anti-fascist autonomous anti-capitalist and anti-colonial” podcast, It’s Going Down, smeared The Post Millennial‘s editor at large Andy Ngo in their February 29 episode, titled “Who Let The Frogs Out.”

At 1:22:00 in the podcast, the hosts discuss Andy Ngo’s role at The Post Millennial, and the supposed dangers that he could cause, going so far as to call him a domestic terrorist who promotes “stochastic terrorism,”—a fairly rarely used term used to describe a form of “lone wolf” terrorism.

Coronavirus Criminals: CDC Deliberately Released Infected Patient in San Antonio While Positioning Itself to Financially Benefit From an Exploding Epidemic

The CDC just deliberately released an infected coronavirus patient in San Antonio, Texas. The number of “accidental” releases of infected patients, the nearly four-week withholding of diagnostic test kits and the downplaying of the severity of the outbreak can no longer be explained away as coincidence. This appears to be a deliberate, planned strategy to spread the coronavirus across America, cause nationwide chaos and get more funding and medical martial law powers for the CDC itself.

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a patient from isolation in San Antonio, Texas, after two tests returned negative for the new coronavirus, but the person later tested positive,” reports The Epoch Times.

So the CDC messed up yet again, failing to make sure the person was truly cleared of coronavirus before releasing him into the general public. The CDC later attempted to cover this catastrophic error by saying, “Following the patient’s release, results of a subsequent sample were received, and determined to be weakly positive. Out of an abundance of caution, CDC decided to bring the individual back into isolation at a local medical facility.”

For starters, from a virology point of view, there’s no such thing as “weakly positive.” Testing for the coronavirus produces a binary result. It’s either positive or negative. Is the CDC seriously going to start telling us people are now “sort of positive” or “kinda negative” or other such nonsense? Suddenly the CDC sounds like a transgender high school student explaining how he/she fluidly transitions between 47 different genders by merely wishing for socially acceptable virtue-signaling transitions.

This latest mistake is on top of the CDC deliberately withholding coronavirus testing kits from the entire country for nearly four weeks, allowing the virus to exponentially multiply with near-zero surveillance about which communities are already infected.

Democrat Councilwoman Shows Support for Leftists Wanting to Intentionally Spread Coronavirus to Trump Supporters

‘For the record, if I do get coronavirus I’m attending every MAGA rally I can’

A far-left Democrat Councilwoman said she stands in “solidarity” with liberals who want to purposely spread coronavirus to Trump supporters.

Yes, really.

Denver Councilwoman Candi CdeBaca expressed disdain for Trump supporters after retweeting a rabid leftist fantasizing about mass-infecting Trump rally attendees with the coronavirus.

Don’t Blame Bernie. Blame the Stupid, Naive’ Bernie Voters

Anybody paying attention to the Democrat presidential candidates is well aware of Bernie Sanders’ socialist drumbeat. Those accompanying him on this mad ride to the White House are just as bad but they don’t come right out and say they are socialists like Bernie does. Nevertheless, they are pretty much on the same page as Bernie. It is indicative of the extreme far left platform of the “new and improved” Democrat Party.

Here’s a list of what Bernie wants: It should blow your mind unless you’re a socialist.

  • End the death penalty.
  • End cash bail — let the criminals go free
  • Eliminate mandatory minimum sentences
  • Eliminate private prisons (and then what?)
  • Mandate paper ballots (that is probably the only thing we agree on)
  • Implement Rent Controls and levy taxes on real estate speculation
  • Raise taxes on the wealthy and the middle class (big taxes)
  • Raise the minimum wage to $15.00 per hour
  • Provide several MONTHS of broad paid leave
  • Restrict charter school growth (pandering to the teacher’s union)
  • Provide free college tuition
  • Cancel all student loan debt (taxpayer takes it in the shorts)
  • Boost teacher pay (pandering to the teacher’s union again)
  • Limit political spending
  • Eliminate the electoral college
  • Implement all phases of the Green New Deal (no gas, cars, airplanes, etc.)
  • Allow felons to vote …. from prison no matter what there crime
  • Close down nuclear power plants
  • Ban oil and natural gas fracking
  • Reduce carbon emissions by government regulation (how much and by when?)
  • Break up agri-business — pay farmers to adopt climate-friendly practices
  • Provide universal free meals in all schools
  • Expand farm worker protections
  • Have taxpayers pay for an assault weapons and magazine buy-back program
  • Wants universal background checks for all purchases and transfers of weapons of any kind
  • Implement red flags laws in all states (This is where they take your guns by force on an anonymous tip)
  • No limits on abortion (even after birth)
  • Implement Medicare for all (no matter what the cost!)
  • Grant citizenship to millions of dreamers (DACA)
  • Repeal the illegal entry statute & decriminalize illegal border crossings. In other words, open borders. (Let ‘em all in!)
  • Free health care and other benefits to illegal aliens (at taxpayer expense)
  • Abolition ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement)
  • Tear down existing border walls and don’t build any more
  • Legalize marijuana and scrap past pot convictions
  • Slash defense spending and bring all of our troops home from foreign shores
  • Increase the capital gains tax (to what?)
  • Create a wealth tax and tax all financial stock trades

Talk about a fundamental transformation of America! This is not even a complete list but this list is shared by most, if not all, of the current Democrat presidential candidates. Only God knows how much all of this will cost (Bernie doesn’t) but the cost far exceeds the entire American annual gross domestic product and the taxing capability of the U. S. and state governments. It would triple the annual federal budget. If the government taxed everyone’s income, capital gains and property 100%, along with a wealth tax, it still wouldn’t be enough. By the way, a wealth tax is unconstitutional on its face.

Hawaii Lawmakers Push Severe Ammo Restrictions

In late January, Hawaii lawmakers introduced HB 2736.

This legislation would mandate that an ammunition buyer proves to an ammunition seller that they own a registered firearm in the caliber they are seeking to purchase each and every time they buy ammunition. A firearm owner would have to show their firearms registration along with another form of government-issued photographic ID in order to complete the purchase.

Gun owners would not be permitted to purchase ammunition in calibers that they do not own a registered firearm in.

That means that a gun owner couldn’t pick up ammunition for himself and his friend who shoots a different caliber on the way to a hunting trip or a range. A son or daughter couldn’t pick up ammunition on the way to a gun-owning parent’s home in anticipation of some recreation shooting.

The legislation would permit one “alternate person” to buy ammunition for a registered firearm. However, the owner of the firearm must designate this person as an “alternate person” with the government on the firearm registration form. The “alternate person” must undergo a background check and be fingerprinted. This “alternate person” would then be issued a permit to purchase ammunition for that firearm.

History of the ATF: How the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms Became Corrupt & Abusive

It’s unlikely that there is a single federal alphabet organization less popular among the readership of this website than the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. These are the people who gave us both the Siege at Ruby Ridge and the Siege of Waco. What’s more, they may well be engaged in an entirely unconstitutional exercise: monitoring and patrolling the gun ownership of law-abiding citizens. There’s also a solid case to be made that the ATF is a rogue organization, the most corrupt of the federal alphabet agencies. This can be seen through a number of scandals beginning with Ruby Ridge, threading through the siege at Mount Carmel in Waco, and continuing to the notorious “Fast and Furious” scandal. While firearms owners, weapons enthusiasts and Second Amendment advocates might have a special bone to pick with the ATF, we believe that all freedom-loving Americans should be concerned about the overreach, lawlessness and lack of accountability in this organization. Roman poet Juvenal once posed an important (and famous) question about powerful justice officers: “Quis custodiet ipsos custodies?” — Who is to guard the guardians? All told, there are over 20,000 firearms laws and regulations on the books at the state and federal level. Many of these contradict each other or are written with a lot of room for interpretation. Gun owners and gun dealers are easy prey for a corrupt and lawless federal agency that wants to twist its arms outside the bounds of the law. It’s also worth considering what overreach and lack of accountability other federal organizations are responsible for that we don’t know about, simply because they do not have the same spotlight on them as the ATF — a reminder that the scandals mentioned above are just the ones that we know about. We recommend reading this article in concert with our other articles on the ATF: Waco, Ruby Ridge and Fast and Furious. Each of these contains familiar tropes with regard to the ATF: Entrapment, “lost” evidence, a total lack of accountability, aggressive policing tactics where discretion would probably have saved lives, and a vengeful manner of doing business.

Jill Biden Fends Off Lunging Vegan Protester, Protects Joe During Super Tuesday Victory Speech

During his victory speech after his stellar Super Tuesday showing, Joe Biden was accosted by radical vegan activists who rushed the stage waving signs and screaming, “Let dairy die!”

After the first protester was escorted off the stage by security, leaving Joe Biden, his wife Jill, and his sister Valerie vulnerable, another frantic demonstrator rushed the stage and lunged toward the former vice president, at which time Mrs. Biden stepped in front of Joe, squared up to the activist and grabbed her by the arms, refusing to let her pass. Others were then able to remove the screaming protester.

Pelosi Security Points Gun at Trump Supporters From New Jersey Rooftop

A civilian on the sidewalk snapped this photo, showing a member of the Democrats’ security force, dangerously pointing a firearm at the crowd of civilians. By any standard, this unequivocally violates basic safety rules and calls into question training, and protocol.

William J. Hayden who attended the protest said: “You can clearly see he is pointing the weapon at us. This is why they want complete and total disarmament of the civilian population. And in New Jersey, where the right is diminished, this should be a wake up call to even those that think only the government should have firearms…”

Pointing a rifle at one’s political enemies could be aggravated assault at a minimum, but worse, it bears the hallmarks of tyranny.

New Jersey is one of the most infringed states in the nation. Less than .01 percent of gun owners in the state have carry permits. The standard for carry permits requires the applicant to prove “justifiable need”. Hardly anyone can meet the standard, even those who have been threatened by criminals, and repeatedly kidnapped.

Twitter Sued for Suspending Account of Platform Manipulation Researcher Geoff Golberg

The relationship between data scientist Geoff Golberg and Twitter seemed to have had a good enough start: his company is in the business of researching automated manipulation on the giant social network, specifically that done using bots and inauthentic accounts. And Twitter had long been saying that it wanted to get rid of just such “users”.

In addition to his anti-bot and anti-spam work, Golberg also over the years paid for ads on Twitter promoting his business and growing his following — $38,700, to be exact.

But it all ended when Twitter banned his own account, and now Golberg is suing in New York.

Unfortunately, it’s not at all unusual for Twitter to lock, suspend, or permanently ban users; what’s less common is to those users fight back in court.

According to the filing, Golberg is not only seeking up to $50,000 in damages, an injunction to reinstate his Twitter account, and give him back access to his account data — he also wants the judge to “prohibit Twitter from arbitrarily terminating the accounts of New York users with no cause.”

Two 10-Year-Old Boys Arrested on Felonies for Playing With Toy Guns in Colorado

Baffin Bay Polar Bears Are Abundant, Population Stable Scientist Admits

An article by CBC News today (3 March 2020) is a surprisingly well-balanced report on a recently published paper by Kristin Laidre and colleagues on their work on the Baffin Bay polar bears that I discussed last month.

It presents the Inuit perspective that polar bears are currently abundant in the area and the population stable despite less summer sea ice and some documented declines in body weight and at least one scientist conceded this is indeed true.

However, the CBC writer still left out the most critical caveat included in the paper about the study: that factors other than changes in sea ice could have affected the body condition and litter size data that the authors documented but they didn’t look at anything except sea ice.

This automatically means the conclusions are scientifically inconclusive.

The sensitive negotiations between the Crown and the Office of the Wet’suwet’en that took place last weekend covered complicated land title rights and agreements. The result may very well dictate the future viability of the #CoastalGasLink pipeline. Frank Alec headed the Indigenous team, and somehow managed to have Carolyn Bennett sputtering and stumbling at the press conference immediately following the talks.

Are Muslim Women Trapped in Marriages in Denmark?

In March 2016, a three-part television documentary, “The Mosques Behind the Veil,” was aired on Danish TV2. The documentary sent two young Muslims undercover, as Fatma and Muhammed, to a number of “parallel” Muslim societies in Denmark.

For the purpose of the documentary, Fatma was given a personal cover story — based on real-life dilemmas — for which she would seek advice from the different imams: Her husband was violent, and she did not wish to have sex with him. She could not get pregnant and his family had found a second wife for him. All the Danish imams with whom she consulted in the documentary told her to put up with the violence. When she pleaded for divorce at a sharia council in the Fredens mosque in Århus, Denmark’s second largest city, the imams there refused and told her — ten times — that she must go back to her husband and try again.

At the time, Danish researchers estimated that there were a number of sharia councils in Denmark. “Sharia councils are apparently a black market, which exists in hiding. It is hard for me to put a number on it, but it is there,” said Professor Thomas Hoffmann at the University of Copenhagen in 2016.

Stop This Halal Invasion in India

Stop this Halal Aggression or the Islamic Dictatorship over other Faiths & Religions!

HJS Online Desk | Mumbai | March 4, 2020:: For thousands of years, India has housed a civilisation that has historically been tolerant and inclusive, ‘Independent’ India has been under the grip of a westernized idea of ‘Secularism’. Successive governments have bent over backwards to cater to the whims and fancies of the minority communities to ensure that they vote favorably in the elections. This twisted ‘secularism’ has resulted in much suffering for the Hindu majority of the nation. While the Constitution calls for equality for all, Hindu temples have been taken over by the governments zealously while liberally funding Hajj and Jerusalem ‘pilgrimages’. Despite this, the common Hindu suffers silently and continues to dutifully pay his taxes hoping that some day the conditions will change, which unfortunately has not happened till date.

Then there are those who are consumed with the idea of ‘ruling’ over India; when some demand of theirs gets approved by the Government, they are ready with the next set of demands. One such demand was setting up a Sharia compliant Islamic banking system, which the current government, under Hon’ble Shri. Narendra Modi, refused to accede to. Setting up a Bank requires approval from the government, but what about consumer products? A person has the Constitutionally given right to demand for products that are in line with his religious beliefs. Muslims have started exercising this right by demanding that every product that they use is compliant with the tenets of Islam i.e. Halal. This has led to the ubiquitous need for the products to be ‘Halal Certified’. So now, the Islamic Economic system (Halalonomics) has crept into our Secular system. Surprisingly, Halal compliance is mandatory even for government run companies like the Indian Railways and Air India. Just because Muslims (who make up 15% of the country’s population) want to consume only Halal meat, their practices are being forced upon the rest 85%. Now the Halal certification is no longer limited to meats, but touches every sphere of our daily lives — from meats to packages foods, from housing projects to hospitals, from medicines to beauty products; even malls are not exempt! Anyone who wishes to export their products to Islamic countries has to be Halal Certified. To give you an idea of the immense scale of Halalonomics — standing at 2 trillion dollars it competes with the Indian GDP! No wonder the entire world is under the Halal certification stranglehold…

“What Are the Odds?” — A Timeline of Facts Linking COVID-19, HIV, & Wuhan’s Secret Bio-Lab

Having been permanently banned from Twitter for sharing the publicly-available details of the man who ran the show as far a bat-soup virology in Wuhan’s super-secret bio-lab — which is now a common talking point and rapidly shifting from conspiracy theory to conspiracy fact — we thought a reminder of how we got here was in order…

Scott Burke, CEO of crypto-related firm Groundhog, unleashed what we feel may be the most complete timelines of facts to help understand the controversial links between COVID-19 and HIV, and COVID-19 and Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Want to go down a (strictly fact-based) rabbit hole?

Here is the full slightly-edited-for-formatting twitter thread…

A disclaimer: I am not a virologist. This is me synthesizing what we have learned since the outbreak began and reviewing public scientific papers. I believe each of the following statements is a solid fact, backed up by a citation.

I also want to say that I understand some people are worried about blame being cast for this outbreak. Obviously we are all in this together, and my intention here is not to cast blame. These links overwhelmingly compel further scrutiny, but are not conclusive.

I do think however that information is being downplayed and suppressed by some scientists and media outlets and it’s our duty to find out the facts about this virus, do what we can to mitigate the outbreak, and prevent it from happening again. Ready?…

Chinese Citizens Turn to GitHub to Archive Coronavirus Outbreak Events in a Bit to Avoid Censorship

By all accounts, the outbreak of coronavirus — a particularly nasty strain of some previous flu viruses, but as yet with no discernible means to fight it through inoculation, or an end in sight — looks like it could be leveling out in its country of origin, China.

Meanwhile, the rest of the world may yet experience the brunt of the respiratory disease caused by the virus.

But while in other countries we seem to be concerned mostly about sneezing into our sleeves, washing our hands often, and not congregating in large crowds — all these being officially recommended anti-coronavirus measures — over in China, people appear to be ready to think beyond the day-to-day horror they experienced, and long-term.

Such like — preserving the memory of those who perished in the viral outbreak that first hit China.

COVID-19 Has a Death Rate That is About 34 Times Higher Than the Flu

COVID-19 is an extremely deadly virus, and nobody should be trying to downplay the severity of this outbreak. By now, you have probably heard a lot of people try to convince you that COVID-19 is not that dangerous because the flu has killed far more people this winter. And that is true. But what they aren’t telling you is that the death rate from the flu is extremely low. Tens of thousands of Americans die from the flu each year, but if this coronavirus spreads all over the planet the death toll will be in the tens of millions. This coronavirus outbreak is likely only in the very early stages, and if it becomes as widespread as the flu, it will become a public health crisis unlike anything we have ever faced in modern times.

After taking a look at the numbers, hopefully you will understand what I am trying to say.

On Tuesday, the World Health Organization announced that the global death rate for COVID-19 is now 3.4 percent…

Marine Le Pen Calls for Referendum to Stop “Submersion” of France Via Mass Immigration

Accuses establishment politicians of “treason” for failing to defend their people.

Marine Le Pen has called for a national referendum in order to stop what she called the “submersion” of France via a “globalist” program of mass immigration.

Speaking during a debate on the issue in the French Parliament, the leader of the National Rally political party scorched the political establishment for overseeing the dilution of French identity at the expense of ordinary people.

Le Pen said the last 30 years of immigration laws were designed to ineffective and resulted in “nothing more than political grandstanding.”

She said the French people “recognise that uncontrolled immigration is a threat, a threat to their daily lives, to their way of life, and even, at times, a threat to their lives.”

“Our country is experiencing a veritable submersion, yes a submersion, I dare to use that term, because it describes the reality of the unbroken wave that is crashing upon our cities, our towns, and now, because of your irresponsible policy of placing migrants in the rural areas, even the smallest villages,” said Le Pen.

She slammed establishment politicians for trying to make discussion of immigration taboo and demonizing dissidents even as a giant demographic displacement of people was taking place and accused them of “treason” for failing to “defend their people.”

“But above all, without ever consulting the people, they organized the streams of legal migration and tolerated illegal immigration,” she added, saying this was driven by “the globalist ideology that guides them inexorably.”

“But above all, without ever consulting the people, they organized the streams of legal migration and tolerated illegal immigration,” she added, saying this was driven by “the globalist ideology that guides them inexorably.”

Le Pen also accused globalists of reducing man to his “economic dimension, as a producer and consumer, an interchangeable man, with no identity or cultural reference points, nothing but a cog in the wheel of global commerce.”

“The torrent of migration is destroying our welfare system, is making the entire penal system explode and is undermining the unity of the nation,” she added.

Slamming President Macron for exacerbating the problem, Le Pen dismissed the “debate” as a pointless “rehearsal for a high school play,” calling for a national referendum on stopping mass immigration.

“In this chamber a majority want this migration madness to continue. In France, a majority want this migration madness to stop,” she concluded.

Le Pen was heckled throughout the speech by pro-mass immigration politicians, but her words were absolute fire.

The Conditioning of Americans: Politicians Allure Illegals in, ICE Rounds Them Up

What is The Real Objective? You!

“A list of 72 types of Americans that are considered to be “extremists” and “potential terrorists” in official U.S. government documents. Are you a conservative, a libertarian, a Christian or a gun owner? Are you opposed to abortion, globalism, Communism, illegal immigration, the United Nations or the New World Order? Do you believe in conspiracy theories, do you believe that we are living in the “end times” or do you ever visit alternative news websites (such as this one)? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you are a “potential terrorist” according to official U.S. government documents.” —Michael Snyder

I want you to show you how the government in this country creates the very problems that it later comes in through the back door, only to play the problem solvers to, the very problems that they themselves created.

UK: Council Removes “Transphobic” Flags Because They Displayed the Dictionary Definition of the Word ‘Woman’

Clown world strikes again.

A council in the UK removed two “transphobic” flags because they displayed the dictionary definition of the word ‘woman’.

Yes, really.

The flags, which were flown outside Bootle & Southport town halls, were meant to celebrate International Women’s Day.

They featured the words “woman” and the dictionary definition that a ‘woman’ is an “adult human female.”

However, after a Twitter user called Adrian Harrop complained that the flags were a “transphobic dog whistle,” the offending items were removed.

  1. The Church of Wokeness alleging that race is only skin-deep, how about this as regards the Coronavirus:

    https://www.unz.com/article/its-official-chinese-scientists-find-genetic-explanation-for-coronavirus-discriminating-by-race/

Or had we not noticed that the race, as opposed to passport, of the victims so far in the West has never been mentioned by the presstitute globalist media? nor that Africa, home to black people, has had hardly any confirmed cases?

  2. We know for certain BEARDS are big time disease spreaders. All mention has now completely disappeared from the me die yeah. Once beautiful culture rich and secure Western European societies are now unsanitary and too pre-occupied and distracted to notice the now filthy hail laid lady handlers. Chinese dog, snake and bat consumption – got it. Beards and Halal? Not yet. Koran speak? Not yet. Mosque barracks – not yet.

    • I hope English isn’t your first language. Oh, and I’m keeping my (non-islamic) beard.

      • MH: Ignoring basic hygiene rules in any situation can be deadly. More so now. Might you agree? Hadn’t you noticed? I was referring to street posters and front page articles in the UK press. Take your pick – The Daily Mail? The Times? Beards (not very small trimmed moustaches). References to the deadliest sources seem to have disappeared now, I wonder why? The bearded ones have your full support? What a mess.

      • Why not ?
They are Muslim scum all together.Turkey should wash their heads with the nasty invaders.

        • Even within islam there is are degrees of barbarity and savagery. As far as the islamic world goes the Turks are relatively cosmopolitan and modern. Especially when compared to the african tribal savages, afghani barbarians and arab criminals that have swarmed to the country seeking a way to penetrate Europe.
