Stock Market Live Updates: Dow Drops 1190 Points Amid Coronavirus Fears, S&P 500 Sees Fastest Correction in History

Global financial markets plunged for the sixth consecutive day on Thursday, with coronavirus fears shaving over 1,100 points off the Dow (^DJI) — its biggest in history — and sending the S&P 500 (^GSPC) swooning to its fastest-ever correction.

“Global markets were down $1.83 trillion today, with the U.S. down $1.33 trillion,” S&P Dow Jones’ Howard Silverblatt said in an email. He added that over the past six days, global markets erased $6 trillion in wealth with U.S. markets losing $4 trillion.

Investors took fright amid the first coronavirus case in the U.S. involving a person who didn’t travel to an infected country and didn’t knowingly interact with someone who did. Meanwhile, California’s governor said the state is monitoring more than 8,400 people who could possibly have the virus.

Now Abdi is receiving threats.

On Wednesday Abdi Nur posted his concerns for his safety on Facebook.

California Coronavirus Patient Went to Hospital Last Week But Was Not Tested by CDC Despite Requests From Local Health Officials

A person in northern California who has not traveled internationally recently came down with coronavirus this week. The patient did not have contact with any known people with coronavirus.

Doctors do not know how he caught the virus or from whom.

And now this — The patient was sent home last week after he went to the hospital. And the CDC refused requests to check him for coronavirus despite requests from local health officials.

California is Monitoring at Least 8,400 People for the Coronavirus

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Thursday that 33 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and the state is currently monitoring at least 8,400 others —a day after U.S. health officials confirmed the first possible community transmission of the coronavirus in a Solano County resident.

“This is a fluid situation right now and I want to emphaize the risk to the American public remains low,” said Dr. Sonia Y. Angell, California Department of Public Health Director and State Health Officer during a press conference. “There have been a limited number of confirmed cases to date.”

Caught on Video: Black-Masked Syracuse Protesters ‘Blocking Traffic’

Leftist protesters at Syracuse University blocked off at least two city blocks Wednesday night in what is the latest development in the months-long standoff between the school administration and protesters who have named their movement “Not Again SU,” a reference to a string of reported racist and anti-semitic incidents on campus.

Syracuse.com reported Wednesday that 100 students, faculty, and other leftists protesters took to the streets of Syracuse, New York, near the university campus, and staged a sit-in, blocking and holding up traffic for at least two city blocks. Protesters chanted, some of whom wore black masks, chanted, “No justice! No peace! No racist police!” and “SU puts the ‘S’ in White Supremacy.”

Emily Compagno Says Trump Campaign Made This Statement With Lawsuit Against NY Times

The Trump reelection campaign’s libel lawsuit against The New York Times is the president’s way of punching back against media bias, “The Five” hosts said Thursday.

Co-host and attorney Emily Compagno said the lawsuit makes a statement and sends a clear message to the mainstream media.

“It’s the statement this makes,” Compagno said, “which is the president saying ‘I’m sick of this…and guess what, I have endless bankroll for this so you guys can use your bank to try to defend it.’“

The lawsuit argued that the newspaper’s March 27, 2019 op-ed titled “The Real Trump-Russia Quid Pro Quo” amounted to a knowingly false smear intended to “improperly influence the presidential election in November 2020.”

Idaho Students Demand Starbucks Offer ‘Free’ Vegan Milk That ‘Doesn’t Support Animal Abuse’

Students from the University of Idaho staged a sit-in at a local Starbucks Wednesday, protesting the coffee chain for “penalizing” people who want non-dairy milk options.

Sit-in leader and Local Herbivore President Kaylee Carr spoke with Campus Reform, saying that “wanted to peacefully raise awareness about the fact that Starbucks is penalizing people for choosing a healthier drink option that doesn’t support animal abuse and is better for the environment by charging extra for plant-based milk options.”

Lying Mainstream Press Pushes Narrative That Trump Offered Assange a Pardon if He Cleared Russian Allegations

The lying, mainstream press this week ran wild with a claim made by Julian Assange’s lawyer that U.S. President Donald Trump offered the WikiLeaks founder a pardon if he denied that Russia had any involvement in the leaked emails of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

The London court on Wednesday heard a statement read by Assange’s lawyer Edward Fitzgerald which claimed that Trump had made a pardon offer to the WikiLeaks founder via former California Republican lawmaker Dana Rohrabacher, Reuters reports.

Rohrabacher has completely denied the claim he carried out orders on behalf of Trump to offer Assange a deal for a pardon, stating that he never even spoke to the president about such an offer.

Man Who Tortured Toddler to Death Avoids Death Sentence Because of “Racist” Juror

A man who tortured his 2-year-old daughter to death had his own death sentence scrapped after it was revealed that a “racist” juror had agreed with a statement that black people were “more violent than other races.”

Glenara Bates’ 2016 death was ruled to have been caused by blunt force trauma and starvation after her father Glen Bates beat her viciously with a belt and made her sleep on the bathroom floor.

The toddler was found to have scars, bruises and other injuries covering her entire body.

Bates initially received the death penalty, but the Ohio Supreme Court ruled that he’d been unfairly tried because one of the jurors had previously agreed with a “racist” statement online.

Milwaukee Mass Shooter is a Black Elizabeth Warren Supporter

The Milwaukee man who killed five co-workers at a beer company’s corporate office is a black Elizabeth Warren supporter, providing a clue as to why the mass shooting disappeared from the discussion so quickly.

51-year-old Anthony Ferrill showed up at the MillerCoors facility from where he had been fired earlier in the day wearing his uniform and carrying a silenced gun.

He proceeded to gun down five colleagues before turning the weapon on himself.

It subsequently emerged that Ferrill was an African-American Elizabeth Warren supporter (presuming that Ferrill shared the same political beliefs as his wife, who took a selfie with Warren at a rally last year).

Officer Body Cameras ‘Go Dark’ As Innocent Family Beaten, But the Dashcam Caught it All

Last August, Sammie Anderson made the mistake of contacting the police to help break up an argument between her two sons. By the time police arrived, however, the argument was over. But this did not prevent the responding officers from escalating the situation.

“I wanted them to come out and be the mediator. The boys never fought, but I wanted them to come out and be there to make sure that they could help diffuse the argument,” explained Anderson. “But by the time police got there, there was no argument, it was totally quiet.”

When police responded, officers tackled Mrs. Anderson and then tasered one of her sons. The son who was tasered appeared to be entirely compliant with the orders given to him to lie on the ground. He was not a threat.

As the video shows, when police arrived, the scene was quiet and there was no disturbance. However, when officers Patrick Krekel, Bryan Scott-Lee, Courie Bryant, Kendall McGill, Ryan Money and Larry Walker arrived, the scene quickly descended into chaos.

Our Corrupt Main Stream Media in America

Unfortunately, as we head into the 21st century, as a citizen-journalist, I find our leaders lie, our media covers-up and top national news services serve us a line of balderdash. Powerful forces, loaded with money, keep the American people in the dark.

One of my journalist friends, Kathleene Parker of New Mexico, said, “We have a corrupt media—I’m working on a piece for Progressive on how and why—that buried population growth issue for 30 years, and it’s a clear, there is an ORGANIZED effort by media to brainwash us into believing population is “no longer” a problem. As if another 100 million people added to America is not a problem! CBS in the Morning even had a jackass on who had written a book about the “dangers” of a U.S. population implosion due to a lack of births. As if 330 million people isn’t enough of us!

“How far up his butt is his head not to notice what’s happening around him? Now, we’re helpless as media brainwashes the public, something I’ve encountered personally by people arguing with me that “we aren’t growing.” How can we compete against media—all media. Newspapers are already headlining a possible slowing growth rate in the census, never mind the real numbers…

The greatest lie: the 1965 Immigration Reform Act continues to pour 1.2 million legal immigrants into this country, annually, but it’s overloading and overwhelming us. But no matter how snarled our cities or how much air pollution, and worse, contamination of the air, land and water—MSM will not report the facts. And more than that, as Ms. Parker said, we’re kept in the dark as to the fact that we’re about to add 110 million more people to our country—that will destroy our ability to sustain ourselves with water, food and energy.

Along with that, the MSM refuses to report on chain-migration, 50,000 diversity visas annually and 300,000 anchor babies at we foot their bills. Notice they never go after any of the Senators or House Members as to what’s really happening to our country.

Really Big News About the Coronavirus in the United States Just Dropped

The CDC has announced that there is a newly confirmed coronavirus case in northern California, and authorities have no idea how the victim was exposed to the virus. This particular individual had not traveled to a foreign country lately and also had not had any contact with a known infected patient. In other words, it appears that this individual was infected by someone that the CDC does not know about yet. As soon as this news dropped, financial markets started freaking out and there was an explosion of speculation on social media. Have the efforts to contain the coronavirus in the United States failed? And if people are going this crazy even though not a single American has died from this virus yet, what is going to happen if people start dropping dead in the streets?

The global tipping point we have been waiting for has now arrived. The number of new coronavirus cases outside of China is now surpassing the number of new coronavirus cases being reported inside China each day, and this virus continues to pop up in even more countries. On Wednesday alone, Norway, Greece, Romania, North Macedonia, Pakistan and Brazil all reported their very first cases. In fact, the case in Brazil was the very first to be reported in all of South America.

But most Americans don’t care too much about what is going on in the rest of the world. What they do care about is what is happening within our own borders, and a lot of people are extremely concerned that there is now a confirmed case of “unknown” origin in northern California…

The Village People to Fans Enraged at Trump Using Their Music: ‘Everyone is Entitled to Do the Ymca Dance’

Every now and then we see a “Musician Condemns Republican for Using Music at Rally” story. It’s the same thing every time: Some GOP politician will use a popular song to entertain a crowd, legally and above board, and the musician who originally performed the song will panic that anybody might think they like the Republicans. The musician blasts out an angry tweet and/or press release, all the “news” outlets cover it without noting that the Republican used the song legally, and the musician signals his or her virtue to avoid getting #cancelled. Almost always, the musician hasn’t had a hit in years and should be glad for the publicity. It’s all very boring by this point.

That’s why today I doff my cowboy hat, my Indian headdress, and my motorcycle cop helmet to disco legends the Village People for telling the plain, simple, boring truth.

The Waco Siege: What Happened When the Feds Laid Siege to the Branch Davidian Compound

The siege of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, is an important event in American history because it directly led to one of the biggest terrorist attacks on American soil — the bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal Building. It’s not necessary to defend this act of terrorism to understand why the entire freedom movement of the time was so incensed by it. Indeed, it stood as a symbol of federal overreach and the corruption of the Clinton Administration. It’s important to separate fact from fiction when it comes to the siege of Waco, just as it is important to do so with the siege of Ruby Ridge or the attack on the American consolate in Benghazi. With every event, it is important to stick to the facts and what can be extrapolated from them to make the strongest argument about what went wrong and why, and what could be done differently in the future.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of when Waco started (Feb 28th) so I figured it would be worth revisiting now.

Meat and grain supply chains are being held up by the rail blockades across Canada and storage capacity is becoming a big problem. Propane and feed transportation is also being disrupted, which paired with lost sales is costing producers millions.

UK Prepares for EU Brexit Deal Negotiations: Legally Separate and Will Walk Away if Necessary

The British government has published its positions for the post-Brexit trade negotiations due to begin with the European Union next week, placing itself on a clearly divergent path from Brussels on the kind of deal envisioned, and the terms it might be struck under.

The full extent of the gulf between expectations from the British and European negotiating teams emerged Thursday when the British counterpart to the European negotiating principles document was published. The divergences are visible in several clear areas, from the British government looking for a Canadian type straightforward trade deal, for Britain to not be tied into European Union laws in perpetuity, and for the decision to be made quickly, all of which Brussels claims is impossible.

UK: Cyclist Who Crashed Into ‘Phone Zombie’ Yoga Teacher When She Stepped Into Road Looking at Her Mobile is Left With £60,000 Legal Bill Despite Judge Ruling They Were Both to Blame

A cyclist who knocked over a ‘phone zombie’ yoga teacher after she stepped into the road while staring at her mobile has been left with a £60,000 court bill — despite a judge ruling they were equally to blame.

Garden designer Robert Hazeldean was going home from work in central London when he collided with pedestrian Gemma Brushett, 28, as she crossed a road near London Bridge, leaving them both unconscious.

A judge later found the pair ‘equally to blame’ for the accident because Ms Brushett was looking at her phone, but awarded her £4,161.79 in damages because she was the only one to launch a court claim.

LONDON (AP) — A British judge refused Thursday to let WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange move from a glass-enclosed dock and sit with his lawyers during a London court hearing on whether he should be extradited to the United States.

Assange complained of struggling to hear and concentrate during the first four days of the hearing at London’s high-security Woolwich Crown Court. He also said he cannot easily communicate with his legal team from the secure defendants’ dock at the back of the courtroom.

His lawyers described Assange a “vulnerable person” who has suffered from depression. But District Judge Vanessa Baraitser, who is presiding over the extradition hearing, denied the request for a different seating plan.

Diversity Org Admits Gays, Minorities Hugely Overrepresented in UK Television

A major survey of the British television industry has found that, contrary to popular belief among “woke” commentators, gay people and ethnic minorities are massively overrepresented. The Creative Diversity Network (CDN) published its Diamond: The Third Cut report after surveying “over 30,000 diversity forms relating to over 600,000 TV production contributions”.

The CDN found that “BAME [Black and Minority Ethnic] on-screen representation” is a remarkable 23 per cent — far above the BAME share of the British general population, estimated at 14 per cent.

Gay people also get far more on-screen roles than their proportional representation in broader British society would suggest, accounting for 10.7 per cent, 10.5 per cent, 13.1 per cent, an astonishing 18.1 per cent, and 7.6 per cent of on-screen contributions at the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, and Sky, respectively, despite making up just 6.4 per cent of the general population.

Gay people were similarly overrepresented off-screen, accounting for 14.7 per cent, 14.1 per cent, 16.1 per cent, 12.5 per cent, and 10.4 per cent of off-screen jobs at the same five broadcasters.

[Comment: Gays being 6.4% is incorrect. It is closer to 2%. See other newstip.]

The News You Won’t Believe

The nooze has developed a habit of hitting you with stories that you don’t want to believe, and maybe can’t believe. But you check it out and it turns out to be true: heaven help us.

Here are a couple of flagrant examples that appeared last week.

A group of parents are suing the Madison, Wisconsin, Metro School District over its “gender policy”—under which the schools are to “help” children “transition” to another sex without the knowledge or consent of their parents. In fact, the policy as written says “District employees are prohibited from notifying parents, without the child’s consent.” A ten-year-old can’t have a driver’s license, or contract binding debts, without the parents’ or guardian’s consent, but “he” can “transition” into “she” with the school’s blessing and assistance and the parents none the wiser—until it’s too late.

Is there any outrage that public education can’t commit, without making parents mad enough to pull their children out of there? Why are only 14 parents suing over this?

Just for the record, and because it’s important to speak the truth, there is no such thing as “transitioning” into another sex. It’s all make-believe. That it is being perpetrated in the schools is intolerable—or damned well should be.

We pay for these schools. We pay a lot. But we get no say in who teaches there and who doesn’t, and we get no say in what gets taught. All we do is pay. How did we ever get suckered into such a dirty deal?

  1. “Migrant Men Sentenced for ‘Truly Appalling’ Gang Rape in Farnham, England

Clearly born and bred Romanians in both name and looks. Looks like they were sentences properly. I just can’t help but wonder: would the sentence be the same if they were from Africa, Middle East or simply muslim converts?

  2. “Poland’s minister for European Affairs hopes the EU will begin accession talks with North Macedonia and Albania in March” Honestly I see few benefits of having these countries in particular enter. Especially Albania. It definitely shouldn’t be granted entry before Serbia does. That, of course, is common sense speaking – hence it’s to be expected the EU is going to do the opposite. It’s unfortunate Poland is supporting this nonsense too, however.

All the contorting to wash one’s feet in the sink, along with all the spitting, snorting, and hacking is utterly horrific and a great way to turn a washbasin into a giant petri dish.

According to reports, the criminals were promptly detained by the police, and the girl was taken to the department before her parents arrived. Other details are being specified.
