Can Hedge Funds Topple Trump?

President Donald J. Trump has a good conservative record, especially in regard to the courts, and he has strengthened the Armed Forces. His rallies are packed with supporters. But as we enter 2020,even some conservative Republicans in Congress seem scared to death. Debt is piling up and the Federal Reserve is propping up the economy through emergency loans. Some are asking: can hedge funds crash the economy?

George Soros isn’t the only donor to the Democratic Party who ran a hedge fund. A Democratic presidential candidate, San Francisco billionaire Tom Steyer, is a hedge fund manager who reportedly ran an offshore company advertised as a tax shelter. One of the Democratic Party’s top donors, his fund invested in fossil fuel projects but he is now running on the dangers of “climate change” caused by fossil fuels.

Hedge funds can cause an economic downturn by targeting companies, countries and currencies with short selling strategies…

Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve is intervening with tens of billions of dollars in bailouts in an “interbank lending liquidity crisis.” Is this traceable to hedge fund speculators and currency manipulators betting behind-the-scenes on the decline of the U.S. economy?

To stave off this possibility, Trump has signed a “phase-one” trade deal with Communist China, promising relief for America’s farmers and manufacturers. In addition, the Trump Administration is preparing a new tax cut proposal.

In another move, Trump bowed to Pelosi and Big Labor in securing passage of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement on trade by inserting pro-United Nations elements into the pact. As a result, the USMCA establishes a regional North American bureaucracy, under the auspices of the U.N.’s International Labor Organization, to manipulate and enforce labor standards between the three countries. The deal undermines Trump’s proclaimed opposition to globalism and enables the Democrats to claim they improved the agreement to benefit workers.

The good news is that Congressman Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) has reintroduced his bill, H.R. 204, the American Sovereignty Restoration Act, to halt all involvement of the United States with the United Nations. Trump could endorse the bill and rally conservatives behind it.

Antifa Group to Join Pro-Gun Rally at Virginia Capitol

Virginia antifa group Seven Hills plans to join Second Amendment supporters outside the Virginia General Assembly as thousands descend on Richmond, Virginia, for the annual Virginia Citizens Defense League gun rally on Monday, Jan. 20.

“I think it’s been pretty important for us to focus on the fact that gun control in America has a legacy of racist enforcement,” said Seven Hills spokesman James, who withheld his name to protect himself from being identified. “Like taking guns away from black people because black people were perceived as a threat to property and the sanctity of the state.”

Pro-gun activists will travel from as far away as Texas next week to protest new legislation proposed by the Democratic majority in Virginia that will limit handgun purchases, institute red flag laws, and require mandatory background checks on private transfers of guns in the Commonwealth. Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam has prioritized gun control this session, and bloc voting by the Democrats almost assures the passage of such legislation.

CNN’s Brian Stelter Announces Documentary on Fake News, Twitter Finds it Hilarious

HBO has teamed up with CNN reporter Brian Stelter and filmmaker Andrew Rossi to announce a documentary called “After Truth: Disinformation and the Cost of Fake News” for March.

According to HBO, the film deals with the way disinformation, conspiracies, and fake news affects “the average citizen” in creating what is referred to as “post-truth culture.”

Stelter tweeted about this, citing in his post some of HBO’s blurb, and attaching a screenshot to the whole thing that also says the documentary focuses on “several high-profile made-up news stories in recent years with real world consequences” — such as “Pizzagate” that — apparently — influenced the 2016 presidential election.

But CNN has been widely perceived as pushing an openly anti-Trump agenda that’s not shy of crossing from mere bias into the territory of precisely the thing Stelter wants to explore and condemn: disinformation and conspiracy.

Court Smacks Down Children’s Attempt to Force Climate Policy by Lawsuit

In a key victory for the rule of law, a panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected a lawsuit filed by children against the U.S. government, claiming that the federal government had violated the children’s rights by failing to act against climate change. The lawsuit asked the court to unilaterally force the government to adopt broad climate policies, circumventing Congress and the executive branch entirely.

“The plaintiffs claim that the government has violated their constitutional rights, including a claimed right under the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment to a ‘climate system capable of sustaining human life.’ The central issue before us is whether, even assuming such a broad constitutional right exists, an Article III court can provide the plaintiffs the redress they seek—an order requiring the government to develop a plan to ‘phase out fossil fuel emissions and draw down excess atmospheric CO2,’“ Judge Andrew Hurwitz wrote in the opinion on the case Juliana v. United States (2020).

Deaf New Yorker Sues Porn Sites for Lack of Closed Captions

New York (AFP) — A deaf man in New York has filed a class action lawsuit against three pornographic websites on grounds he cannot enjoy their content fully without closed captions.

In a filing Thursday in Brooklyn federal court, Yaroslav Suris sued Pornhub, Redtube and YouPorn and their Canadian parent company MindGeek, arguing they violated an anti-discrimination law called the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Suris, who already sued Fox News over similar violations, named several racy-sounding videos that he said he wanted to watch in October and this month.

Florida Man Friday: TSA Won’t Find Anything on Her

Longtime Florida Man Friday readers know I like to begin each week with a cute little introduction, maybe something on a personal note, maybe reminding you that most Florida Men and Women seem to have come from other states, or that Florida’s insanely bright sunshine law makes the state seem even crazier than it actually is. Which is saying something. But there’s just so much material to get through today, that I’m going to skip the cute intro and get right to the good stuff.

So without further ado, welcome to another thrill-a-minute…

Karl Marx’s Vision Prepares American School Children as Future Labor, Part 2

So how do Enterprise zones (Part 1) funded through education help poor children living in these poverty zones? Answer: Public-Private-Partnerships that scoop up BOP, bottom of the pyramid poor children. Who are these BOP kids? The children who are the 80% that will be re-skilled to become worker bees. 20% selected of the fittest are able to climb to the top of the pyramid but must have the right attitudes.

When analyzing the marketing for new available jobs in these Opportunity Zones, the focus is on business, not students. What actually is being taught to these young apprentices are skills that match the jobs and the schools equip those kids with a low-status education. Academics are replaced by “functional skills.” (See end of story graph.) A cooperative docile worker is needed, “to interact productively as a group.” The following are some so-called-do-gooder investments which Marx would have referred to as “co-operative wealth.” Read on to discover what is behind the magic words:

“We test for critical thinking skills, technical aptitude, and a good attitude. We DO NOT look at test scores or transcripts.” —Kenzie Academy (Source: https://www.kenzie.academy )

While these incentives appear to sound great, what type of skills are needed to be re-skilled? What these programs are advertising and what they are doing are very different things. Hand in hand federal money is being spread to accommodate both sides of the fulcrum, using BOP Title I poor children and targeting BOP Title I poor neighborhoods. Children, property, and curriculum are being targeted for reengineered renewal for the global economy and the dark side of capitalism that captures the data. This is a soft-skills mold! The “antithesis between mental and physical labor will vanish” just as Marx had envisioned.

New York Plans to Replicate California’s “Anti-Freelancer” Law

n their apparent push to gain some quick and easy political points by appearing to be responsive to systemic wrongs in the so-called gig economy — some politicians in a year of elections in the United States seem perfectly happy to appear to be improving the position of those who are often in the news as the “victim.”

But what if they might at the same time be throwing every other less visible “victim” of the same system — directly under the bus?

The “lucky ones” benefiting from the new rules in California would be the likes of Uber drivers — while at the same time, the same legislators look comfortable to destroy the livelihoods of every other, less “news-worthy” freelancer/independent contractor out there in the state.

Schumer Votes No on USMCA Because it Doesn’t Include Climate Change

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer voted against the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) on Thursday, citing concerns that the trade deal doesn’t adequately address global warming.

“Despite the fact that it includes very good labor provisions, I am voting against USMCA because it does not address climate change, the greatest threat facing the planet,” the New York senator said in a press statement addressing his vote. “ … the USMCA falls far too short.”

Norway’s Government Nears Crisis Over Return of Former ISIS Member: ‘The Terrorist Won’

Norway seems headed to a political crisis after one of the members of the ruling coalition threatened to quit over the government’s decision to bring back a woman who joined Islamic State — a move that could lead to the government falling.

According to Norway’s VG, the family — a 29-year-old woman and two children — was moved from northern Syria to Iraq in preparation for them to be moved and repatriated back into Norway. One of the children, 5 years old, is believed to be seriously ill.

According to The Local, the woman is described as Pakistani and traveled to Syria in 2013 before marrying a Norwegian jihadist who was killed during fighting. NRK reports that the woman will be arrested and charged with participating in a terrorist organization upon her arrival.

UK Company Creates Knives Without Tips as Crime Wave Soars to Decade High

Knives designed to prevent “fatalities.”

A UK company is marketing a new range of knives without sharp tips in response to soaring knife crime levels, which just hit another decade high.

Sheffield-based company Viners has produced the “Assure” range, square-ended knives which are “shaped to reduce and prevent injuries, accidents and fatalities.”

The knives were “repeatedly tested to ensure the tip does not pierce skin intentionally or otherwise,” the company told the Independent.

Data published by the Ministry of Justice yesterday shows that knife crime offenses in England and Wales have soared to the highest level in a decade.

As I have documented, the knife crime problem in the UK and particularly London continues to get worse because the underlying causes are not being addressed.

Caroline Glick: Poland and Israel’s Loss of Diplomatic Wisdom

Next Thursday is supposed to mark another diplomatic triumph for Israeli diplomacy. On January 23, the Fifth World Holocaust Forum will convene at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz death camp. According to Yad Vashem and the World Holocaust Forum, 45 heads of state will travel to Jerusalem for the conference as President Reuven Rivlin’s guests.

But unless something changes in the next few days, the event won’t be a diplomatic triumph. The conference, titled, “Remembering the Holocaust, Fighting Anti-Semitism,” will be mark the end of the golden era of Israeli diplomacy.

This isn’t the fault of the guests. They are an impressive lot. Along with Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prince Charles, French President Emmanuel Macron and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier are scheduled to deliver remarks at the event.

The problem is with who won’t be at the event. Polish President Andrzej Duda announced last week that he will not be attending. Duda’s decision doesn’t owe to lack of interest. He made no effort to hide how it important he felt it would be to attend the conference. Indeed, as Israel Hayom reported this last week, Duda was so eager to come that he was willing to leave the World Economic Forum early to fly to Jerusalem just for the conference.

And it isn’t that Netanyahu didn’t want him to come. Netanyahu wants very much for Duda to come because Israel has a profound interest in Duda’s attendance…

The Mysterious New “SARS-Like Virus” That is Killing People in China Has Now Spread to Japan

On top of everything else that has happened so far in 2020, a very mysterious “SARS-like virus” that doctors have never seen before is causing grave concern among global health officials. It has been identified as “a coronavirus”, but that category covers a very broad range of illnesses. If you have a common cold right now, it was caused by a coronavirus. But SARS and MERS also came from the same virus family, and those two outbreaks made headlines all over the world. In 2002 and 2003, SARS infected more than 8,000 people worldwide, and more than 700 of them ended up dying. Global health officials are hoping that what we are now facing won’t be any worse than that, but at this point they just don’t know enough about this mysterious new virus to make any firm projections.

What we do know is that this outbreak just started, and China has just announced that this virus has claimed a second life. The following comes from the BBC…

Is the Sahel Region Becoming a New “Islamic State”?

On January 13, French President Emmanuel Macron convened a summit of the G5 Sahel, a group of five Sahelian countries (Chad, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali and Mauritania) that are affected by Islamist terrorism. The location of the summit, the small city of Pau in the south of France, was not chosen at random: it hosts the base of France’s 5th Combat Helicopter Regiment. Seven of the thirteen French soldiers who died in a November 25, 2019 helicopter accident in Mali belonged to this unit. Since 2013, France has lost 44 soldiers in the Sahel.

According to the Africa Center for Strategic Studies:

“The Sahel has experienced the most rapid increase in militant Islamist group activity of any region in Africa in recent years. Violent events involving extremist groups in the region have doubled every year since 2015. In 2019, there have been more than 700 such violent episodes. Fatalities linked to these events have increased from 225 to 2,000 during the same period. This surge in violence has uprooted more than 900,000 people, including 500,000 in Burkina Faso in 2019 alone.”

“These ignorant, inflammatory efforts to block enforcement of this nation’s criminal statutes by hardworking, patriotic Americans who live in the same communities they serve, stand only to put these communities — and the entire city of Portland — at risk,” Albence writes. “These protesters are advocating for dangerous criminals to roam our streets with impunity.”

Italy: Post-Salvini Leftist Govt Considers Amnesty for 700,000 Illegal Migrants

A senior member of populist Matteo Salvini’s League has warned the leftist government of potential “chaos” if it pursues plans to grant amnesty to around 700,000 illegal migrants.

Riccardo Molinari, League (Lega) leader in the Italian Chamber of Deputies, warned that “the government wants to bring us back to chaos” after Italian Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese stated that the government was reviewing possible regularisation, or amnesty, for illegals, Il Giornale reports.

Over 90% of Illegal Aliens Nabbed Had Criminal Convictions or Pending Charges

“North Carolina’s Mecklenburg County, that state’s largest, was among the biggest offenders, releasing numerous violent criminals rather than turn them over to federal authorities for removal. Among them was a previously deported Honduran charged with rape and child sex crimes.” — Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Report.

Over 90% of the criminal illegal aliens arrested in 2019 had either criminal convictions or pending charges. The average was four charges per alien.

And yet Democrats insist on putting the well-being of these criminal aliens before the safety of American citizens.

The report also found the number of individuals apprehended or found inadmissible nationwide totaled 1,148,024, an increase of 68 percent over the previous fiscal year. Over one million illegals crossed into the United States in 2019 because the Democratic Party and news media care more about the well-being of lawbreakers with open border policies, sanctuary states and cities, and a deep hatred for President Donald Trump and for the nation’s law enforcement.

More than 90% of illegal immigrants arrested by federal agents in the United States last year had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges, including 56,000 assaults and thousands of sex crimes, robberies, homicides and kidnappings. Many had “extensive criminal histories with multiple convictions,” according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) year-end report.

France: Broadcaster Apologises for ‘Jesus is a F****t’ Song — to LGBT Community

French radio broadcaster France Inter has apologised to the country’s LGBT community following the airing of a song with the title “Jesus is a Faggot”.

The song, which was a parody of the song “Jesus is coming back” from the 1988 comedy film La vie est un long fleuve tranquille, was sung by comedic songwriter Frédéric Fromet, who sang, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus is a faggot LGBT member from the top of the cross, why did you nail him, why did you not him,” Le Parisien reports.

Researchers Pay Mexican Women to Get Pregnant Then Abort

Researchers have conducted experiments on dozens of young Mexican women, paying them to be artificially inseminated and then extracting their embryos for analysis, NPR reported Thursday.

At a hospital near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, reproductive geneticist Santiago Munne and his team injected the women with powerful hormones to stimulate their ovaries to produce eggs and then inseminated them with donor sperm. After four to six days, the team flushed out any resulting embryos from the uterus via a procedure known as “lavage.”

40% of Countries in the World to Experience Civil Unrest in 2020

New report warns social disorder will become more intense.

Nearly 40% of countries across the globe will see some form of civil unrest or riots in 2020, according to a new study.

Political analyst firm Verisk Maplecroft predicts that 75 out of the world’s 195 countries will see some form of social disorder this year.

That’s an increase on the 47 countries, about a quarter of the world’s total, that saw civil unrest in 2019.

The report predicts that the intensity of unrest is likely to be higher than 2019 due to the danger of protesters being on the receiving end of human rights abuses by authorities.

The study names major countries such as Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Thailand and Brazil that are all likely to experience major social disorder.

[Comment: This is what the globalists behind mass migration to western countries want…the eventual balkanization of western countries. This would makes it easier for them to implement a world tyrannical government.]

  1. Tommy Robinson is getting awarded the 2019 Free Speech Society’s Sappho Award for most important defender of free speech in the Danish Parliament. Rebel media is covering it.

    • And the chair if the Danish Free speech Society got a lifetime ban on Facebook for putting a link to his acceptance speech on her account.

  2. Antifa isn’t coming to VA to help protest Northam. They’re coming to stir-up some violence for the media propaganda machine. The rumor is that they’ve got seven buses loaded with soy boys in MAGA hats and NRA pins, so that they’ll look more like pro-2A protestors.

Beware the propaganda reels sure to air starting on Monday. Anybody you see with a mask on is NOT part of the protest. They are antifa!

    • Obvious set-up. They’re literally fencing the 2A protesters and Antifa together in a giant cage with no egress. The police and FBI will be “orchestrating” the event. The media will be positioned to film the “far right” violence. Protesters should stay away from this obvious trap.

  3. Just saw “1917”. Germans are just an unidentifiable horde except for an evil pilot. (No surprise) while the brits…black men and Pakistanis are sprinkled throughout the movie as if its normal, not in spereate units but alongside white brits

Still exciting at points but oddly it’s presented as one shot, started hurting my head

    • I believe this was achieved with digital effects. If you want to see it done without “cheating”, albeit on a smaller scale, check out Sokurov’s “Russian Ark” (2002), a dramatised journey through 300 years of European art, shot in a continuous 95-minute take in St Petersburg’s Hermitage museum- and they were only given time for two attempts.
