55 Years of Carte Blanche Lies by Main Stream Media

The odor of corruption has long been noxious and truth is not forthcoming from media. Why? Because the 1964 Supreme Court decision in NYTs v. Sullivan gave media a “first amendment” right to lie with impunity about any public figure they wished to destroy or promote thus protecting them from most libel suits.

A public official could recover in a libel action only if and when a court found that the libelous statement about the official was made with “actual malice”—that is, with knowledge that it was false or with reckless disregard of whether it was false or not. As long as the press has an “absence of malice,” public officials are barred from recovering damages for the publication of false statements about them.

Defamation law, the ability to sue someone for false attacks on your reputation, was governed by state law until 1964. The landmark U.S. Supreme Court case, New York Times Co. v. Sullivan, 376 U.S. 254, 84 S. Ct. 710, 11 L. Ed. 2d 686 (1964), extended the First Amendment’s guarantee of free speech to libel cases brought by public officials. The Supreme Court sought to encourage “public debate” by changing the rules involving libel that had previously been the province of state law and state courts.

A County in New York Has Completely Banned All Unvaccinated Children From All Public Places

One county in New York is taking extremely drastic measures in an attempt to force all children to get vaccinated for measles. Starting on Wednesday, any child that has not received the measles vaccine will be banned from all public places. That means that they will not be able to go to school, to church or to any store. In fact, just walking down the sidewalk will be a violation of this countywide “state of emergency”. Rockland County has essentially declared a state of medical martial law, and it is scheduled to last for the next 30 days…

A-List Rap Artist ‘Nipsey Hussle’ Murdered After Plans to Expose Big Pharma

Many suspect Nipsey Hussle murdered because of documentary he made about herbalist doctor who proved he could cure AIDS

This weekend A-list rap artist and community philanthropist Nipsey Hussle was gunned down in Los Angeles. Without clear evidence of motive, his murder is being portrayed as gang violence. But many suspect he was murdered to silence him because of a documentary he was producing about an herbalist doctor who proved to the New York Supreme Court that he could cure AIDS.

In 2016, Dr Sebi was arrested and died in jail. His arrest records have not been released, so it remains unclear as to why he was arrested in the first place.

Baltimore Mayor Pugh to Take Leave of Absence in Midst of ‘Healthy Holly’ Book Controversy

Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh, facing a call by Gov. Larry Hogan for a criminal investigation into the book deal that paid her hundreds of thousands of dollars, announced Monday that she will take an indefinite leave of absence because of her health.

The Democratic mayor’s office issued a statement Monday saying she had been advised by her doctors to take time to recover from a bout of pneumonia that hospitalized her for five days last week.

Chicago Elects Lori Lightfoot as First Gay and First Black Female Mayor in City’s History

CHICAGO — Voters in Chicago on Tuesday elected former federal prosecutor Lori Lightfoot to become their next mayor, making Chicago the largest city to elect an African-American woman as its top elected official.

The Associated Press called the race for Lightfoot shortly before 8 p.m. With votes in 85% of precincts counted, Lightfoot had 73.9% of the vote and Preckwinkle 26.1%.

The win by Lightfoot, who identifies as a lesbian and will be Chicago’s first woman of color to serve as mayor, also means the Windy City is the biggest U.S. city to pick an openly gay mayor.

Yes, really.

During her interview with former FBI director James Comey, Amanpour bizarrely asked if the FBI itself should have silenced Trump supporters over the viral chant.

Destroying America From Within, Part 6

I brought up that muslims simply do what they want to do whether it is legal or not and it doesn’t help when we have cowards in places of authority that will not stand up to the advances of this barbaric ideology. We clearly have a double standard in this country when it comes to how Christians are treated compared to Muslims. Across the country, Christian students are banned from praying to Jesus and reading the Bible, as liberals suddenly have a hard-on for the Constitution and want to quoting clauses about the “separation of church in state” in order to justify their views. But of course that same logic doesn’t apply when it comes to Muslims’ religions freedoms, as liberals are all too eager to kiss the a** of anyone who hates America as much as they do.

In yet another startling example of hypocrisy when it comes to the idiots on the left, the very same school that bans students from praying to Jesus is now doing something absolutely sick to appease their Muslim students. At Liberty High School In Frisco, Texas, the Independent School District decided to convert an entire freaking classroom into a “prayer room” so these Muslims can practice their barbaric religion while at school.

Their excuse for favoring Muslim students over Christian students was equally as pathetic, with school officials saying they didn’t want Muslim students to “have to drive home to conduct their daily prayers.” Yes really…

“Liberty High School’s policy should be neutral toward religion,” read a letter sent to Frisco’s superintendent by Deputy Attorney General Andrew Leonie. “However, it appears that students are being treated different based on their religious beliefs. Such a practice, of course, is irreconcilable with our nation’s enduring commitment to religious liberty.”

I call these people cowards because this would not have been allowed for children of the Christian faith, so it should not be allowed for muslims either. This is what I meant when I said they begin to demand that we accept their culture but they will not embrace our culture.

GM Executives Closed Ohio Plant Despite Concessions From U.S. Workers: ‘We Did Everything They Want’

Executives at General Motors (GM) closed the Lordstown, Ohio, assembly plant last month — resulting in the immediate layoff of about 1,600 American workers — despite major concessions from the United Auto Workers (UAW), new details reveal.

Last month, GM CEO Mary Barra closed the Lordstown plant, a decision expected to result in the layoff of more than 8,000 American workers in the area, and allegedly blamed the UAW for the plant’s closure in a phone conversation with President Trump.

“Just spoke to Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors about the Lordstown Ohio plant … I asked her to sell it or do something quickly. She blamed the UAW Union — I don’t care, I just want it open!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

New details from Bloomberg News reveal a very different story. Documents note that the UAW agreed to make nearly $120 million a year in concessions to keep the Lordstown plant open in 2017 and were stunned by the announcement in late 2018 that the Lordstown plant would eventually close…

[…]

While GM lays off thousands of American workers, its production in Mexico and China is ramping up. Specifically, GM is looking to manufacture an electric Cadillac in China and continue manufacturing its Envision compact vehicle in China.

GM Removes Made-in-Mexico Chevy Blazer From Detroit Ballpark After Backlash From American Workers

Multinational automaker General Motors (GM) removed its made-in-Mexico red Chevrolet Blazer SUV from a display at Detroit, Michigan’s Comerica Park this week after backlash from American workers.

GM had perched the made-in-Mexico Chevy Blazer on an enormous Chevrolet display — alongside the Chevrolet Silverado which is made in Fort Wayne, Indiana — in Comerica Park for the Detroit Tigers’ opening day this week.

GM executives’ decision to display the Chevy Blazer for opening day at Comerica Park came after the corporation decided to lay off thousands of American workers of the last two years, and most recently shuttered the Lordstown, Ohio, assembly plant — resulting in the immediate layoff of about 1,600 U.S. workers at the plant and experts predicting more than 8,000 Americans laid off from supporting industries in the area.

Comerica Park is the home of the Detroit Tigers, one of the country’s oldest baseball franchises. GM has featured its vehicles on the Chevrolet Fountain at centerfield for 10 years. The made-in-Mexico Chevy Blazer, though, quickly came under fire from Detroit locals.

Gun Control Costs: Dick’s Sporting Goods Takes $150 Million Loss, CEO is Perfectly Fine With it

Dick’s Sporting Goods took a hard Communist stance against guns in the wake of the school shooting at Majorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Since then, Dick’s has lost over $150 million, but the CEO is ok with it.

In the midst of the retail apocalypse, Dick’s CEO Ed Stack has decided it isn’t important to make money, it’s only important to be a flamboyant leftist. According to a Bloomberg report, that Dick’s lost about $150 million after the company publically came out for gun control, yet Stack continues to stand his ground. He addressed America’s gun policy, saying, “The system does not work. It’s important that when you know there’s something that’s not working, and it’s to the detriment of the public, you have to stand up.”

Dick’s quit selling their definition of “high capacity magazines” and “assault rifles” in the wake of the shooting in Parkland, Florida while a bunch of teenagers demanded perfectly innocent people give up their rights to suit the feelings of those upset. The company also raised its own personal minimum purchase age for long guns to 21, according to a report by Breitbart.

But Stack should probably not be too comfortable with a loss of $150 million. The retail apocalypse is upon us, and Dick’s could now be in the crosshairs, and they’ll probably be upset that that terminology was used. On April 17, 2018, Breitbart News reported that Dick’s would not be sending the unsold “assault rifles” and “high capacity” magazines back to manufacturers. Rather, they would destroy them wasting millions of dollars.

Homeland’s Alex Jones Character is a Lame Attempt to Smear InfoWars

Radio host obsessively listened to by character who has gone half mad

The new season of Homeland features an obnoxious Alex Jones-style radio host in what is a transparent effort to discredit Infowars and appease liberals via the medium of entertainment.

The Alex Jones character was introduced early in the season via a voice on the radio. One of the lead characters, Quinn, is seen obsessively listening to the show. This same character has become violent and semi-deranged since surviving a biological assassination attempt and a stroke.

The not so subtle inference is that anyone who listens to Alex Jones is violent and semi-deranged.

In the latest episode, the Alex Jones character is seen ranting about a terrorist attack in New York, blaming the female President-elect and vowing to “fight” her.

The plots of earlier Homeland seasons were usually focused around Islamic terrorism, but in later series the show has kowtowed to political correctness and allowed social justice narratives to ruin the dynamism of what was once an enjoyable watch.

The premiere of season 6 was about 600,000 viewers down on the first show of season 5.

Teardown of a 50 Year Old Modem

A few years ago, I was out at the W6TRW swap meet at the parking lot of Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, California. Tucked away between TVs shaped like polar bears and an infinite variety of cell phone chargers and wall warts was a small wooden box. There was a latch, a wooden handle, and on the side a DB-25 port. There was a switch for half duplex and full duplex. I knew what this was. This was a modem. A wooden modem. Specifically, a Livermore Data Systems acoustically coupled modem from 1965 or thereabouts.

The Demise of the Logic of Moral Reasoning

Professor Abrams decided to undertake a small research project in which he would seek to determine the make-up of college administrators and other college staff employees who were engaged in direct student affairs, activities, and programming beyond the classroom teaching environment. Indeed, Dr. Abrams noted in his op-ed article that many colleges have transitioned away from classroom instruction as the sole method of interacting with students. In the place of classroom instruction, schools are hiring personnel for student residential life, student centers, offices of student life, success, inclusion, and engagement. In other words, schools have increasingly determined to shape the minds of students through non-observed, non-evaluated, student and peer led activities taking place in the very places students call home. This has enabled peer pressure and the development of a herd mentality to take the place of actual learning that is determined against rigorous examination and testing.

The result of Professor Abrams’ survey of approximately 900 college administrators across America that have direct interaction with students as the primary activity of their role was not surprising. On average, liberal college staff members outnumber their conservative counterparts by a 12 to 1 ratio. The statistics were much more lopsided when viewed regionally. For example, New England was the most liberal in the nation, with liberal administrators holding a 25 to 1 advantage over their conservative peers.

There was nothing unusual or controversial about anything that Dr. Abrams wrote. He concluded his op-ed with these words:

This warped ideological distribution among college administrators should give our students and their families pause. To students who are in their first semester at school, I urge you not to accept unthinkingly what your campus administrators are telling you. Their ideological imbalance, coupled with their agenda-setting power, threatens the free and open exchange of ideas, which is precisely what we need to protect in higher education in these politically polarized times.

The Wise Purpose of the Electoral College

There are many today who argue that the Electoral College ought to be relegated to a museum with other quaint relics of the past. They argue that it is anti-democratic and has no legitimate place in our government today.

In part, I agree. It is anti-democratic. That is what it was supposed to be.

The purpose of the Constitution, according to the Declaration of Independence, is to “secure” the unalienable rights of the people. That is all our national government was supposed to do: protect and preserve us in our lives, our liberty, and our property. To do this, the Founders gave us a republic, not a democracy. They understood that in a democracy, eventually, the people can gradually be taught to accept the idea that it is perfectly legal — and therefore just — to put their neighbor’s unalienable rights to a popular vote, and that this will incrementally erode and destroy our right to life, to liberty, and to property. The Founders sought to guard against this as they debated the principles they would incorporate in the Constitution. There was purpose in the design of the Electoral College. It was created to be part of the bulwark they erected to protect our unalienable rights from direct democratic usurpation. But this is precisely why it is held in such contempt by many. Those who inveigh against the Electoral College usually argue that it is an impediment to pure principles of “one man, one vote.”

And indeed, it is…

To do away with the Electoral College is to do away with national elections, and also to do away with presidential accountability to all Americans. Why? Because if the election of the president is based solely on popular vote, only the areas of highest concentration of population — i.e., the New York City area and the Los Angeles area, with a few other lesser but still highly populated areas sprinkled in, will control national elections. That’s where the greatest concentrations of population are. The areas between the two coasts, already referred to derisively as flyover country, and the Americans who live there, will be effectively unrepresented in such elections.

The object of our constitutional republic is not to make everyone’s voice exactly equal, but rather to make everyone’s unalienable rights equally secure.

Suspect Charged After Langara College Arson Attack

A 23-year-old Surrey man allegedly set three incendiary devices in a building at Langara College on Monday following a dispute with one or more people at the south Vancouver college, Postmedia has learned.

Nasradin Abdusamad Ali is also believed to have sent taunting electronic messages to the college Monday afternoon after two of the devices detonated and the entire campus was evacuated.

Ali made a brief appearance in Vancouver Provincial Court on Tuesday afternoon on two charges — one of arson in relation to inhabited property, and one count of possession of incendiary material.

He is due back in court Friday for a bail hearing.

Vancouver Police Const. Jason Doucette said Ali was quickly identified as a suspect after a fire was started in Langara’s Technology “T” Building about 11:30 a.m. on Monday…

Are You Buying “Organic”? Here’s the Truth on This Modern Trend

I have interviewed the agronomist with specific knowledge in the mathematic modelling of the agro-ecosystem, Luigi Mariani, to understand why the “organic” trend is not what it appears. Mariani was a professor of Agrometeorology and Agronomy at the University of Milan, and now teaches the History of Agriculture. He is also co-director at the Lombard museum of the history of agriculture and vice-president of the Agrarian Lombard Society.

In December, you wrote a letter with hundreds of scientists, researchers, and experts in agriculture to the Italian Parliament, asking it to reconsider the proposal “Organic Agriculture”. Why do you oppose the concept of organic agriculture, which is becoming increasingly popular in our modern society?

A fair, “organic label” exists. But it produces inferior quantities of food compared to conventional agriculture, so its products are sold at a much higher price (about double the amount of conventional agriculture). If there is consumer demand for organic agriculture, then there is nothing wrong when this demand is satisfied. What I find extremely problematic about this new trend to buy “organic” food, is that organic labels often accuse other farmers of being pollutants and poisoners. This is simply false: the organization of organic products called Federbio produces annual reports called “Change our soil”, co-signed by WWF. The subtitle to this report is: “How conventional agriculture pollutes our economy (and our planet).” The text negates the enormous benefits that conventional agriculture has in guaranteeing food security at rates which were never achieved in the history of mankind (today, only 11% of the world population is below the food security line, compared to 35% in 1970, and 50% in 1945). I also find it problematic that organic agriculture proposes itself as a solution to a worldwide problem, because it simply does not have the capacity to produce enough quantities of food for our current world population, and even if it wanted to do so it would require enormous amounts of resources. First, if organic agriculture were adopted at a worldwide level, billions of people would die of hunger. We have five main food resources: wheat, rice, corn, and barley, which guarantee 70% of food for humanity. If these resources were produced with organic agriculture, there would be a steep decline in productivity, specifically from 20 to 70%. If we consider a decline of an average 50% of productivity, we would need to double the soil needed to grow these resources, which would destroy our natural habitats. It would be an ecological and environmental disaster. I am surprised, therefore, to see that WWF, which claims to be in favour of protecting the environment, appears to be supporting this cause.

Unsustainability aside, is organic agriculture of better quality than conventional agriculture?…

Answering a question by ATV.hu, Orban said that “someone who unveiled a statue of Marx shouldn’t be lecturing anyone about xenophobia, because the master of xenophobia was called Karl Marx”.

Here Comes the Splinternet: How the EU is Helping Break Apart the Internet

In the wake of last week’s unfortunate decision by the EU Parliament to vote for the terrible EU Copyright Directive, Casey Newton over at the Verge has a thoughtful piece about how this could lead to the internet splitting into three.

…this latest effort is hamfisted in the extreme, and may have the effect of splintering the internet beyond what seemed possible even a few years ago. In the wake of GDPR’s passage, Europeans couldn’t visit the websites of some US publishers for months as new privacy frameworks were put into place. That sort of thing may be about to become a lot more common. The time has now come to speak of the internets, plural. And to get around, you might just need a passport.

Basically, as Newton notes, it just might not be worth it for many sites to serve EU visitors: Perhaps the big platforms will feel so motivated to preserve their European user bases that they will indeed negotiate the deals necessary to keep their existing services operating basically as is. But it’s just as easy to imagine them scaling back their services, as Google has already done, and further divide the internet into zones. If it goes far enough, the entire internet may begin to feel like Netflix, whose library of content varies dramatically depending on which country you log on from.

But that’s just the big platforms. Smaller platforms aren’t even going to be in a position or have the resources to negotiate those deals.

ISIS is Recruiting in Europe’s Criminal Underworld

European criminal gangs are a new recruiting ground for ISIS and other jihadi terrorist groups, a new paper argues.

In the paper, Jytte Klausen uses the term “gangster jihadism” to describe the nexus between the criminal underworld and radical Islamic groups.

This new alliance with the criminal underworld marks a major shift in how Islamic extremists lure new members. In the past, young European men were radicalized in mosques and online.

Twenty-two percent of jihadis who were captured or killed in Brussels between 2012-17 were known to have had a criminal history before becoming radicalized, finds Klausen, professor of international cooperation at Brandeis University.

Italy: League Pulls Amendment on Rapist Chemical Castration

Due to M5S opposition

(ANSA) — Rome, April 2 — The nationalist populist League party on Tuesday withdrew an amendment introducing chemical castration for rapists.

Earlier Interior Minister Matteo Salvini’s party said it was still set to file an amendment to a violence against women bill envisaging chemical castration, sources at the House justice committee said Tuesday.

Salvini has repeatedly called for chemical castration for rapists.

Italy: Murderer Says He Killed Victim for ‘Looking Happy’

Killer was ‘depressed’ after separation

(ANSA) — Turin, April 1 — Prosecutors said Monday that a suspect has confessed to murdering Stefano Leo, a young man who was found stabbed to death on the banks of the River Po in Turin in February, for the sole reason that he wanted to kill someone.

The suspect, Said Machaouat, a 27-year-old Italian with Moroccan roots, turned himself in at the weekend. “I chose to kill that young man because he looked happy. And I couldn’t stand his happiness,” Machaouat said, according to the prosecutors.

“The motive is spine chilling,” Turin prosecutor Paolo Borgna said. Machaouat was quoted as telling prosecutors Ciro Santoriello and Enzo Bucarelli that “I wanted to kill a lad like me, to take away all his prospects, his children, his friends and relatives”. The suspect, who showed investigators to where a kitchen knife that is thought to have been the murder weapon was, said he was depressed after splitting up with his ex wife. “The worst thing was knowing that my four-year-old boy was calling a friend of my ex partner daddy,” Machaouat was quoted as saying.

Tommy Blackout: British MPs Force YouTube to Ban Tommy Robinson From Streaming Live

A YouTube spokesperson said: “After consulting with third-party experts, we are applying a tougher treatment to Tommy Robinson’s channel in keeping with our policies on borderline content.”

BRITISH MPs have forced YouTube to restrict right-wing Activist Tommy Robinson from live-streaming to his more than 300,000 followers on the video-sharing site, according to sources.

YouTube has reportedly placed several restrictions on Mr Robinson’s YouTube account, that will greatly reduce his ability to reach a wide audience.

His videos on the site will be removed from search results and his videos will no longer show stats such as views and likes.

The latest move by Silicon Valley to interfere in British democracy comes just weeks after the activist was banned from Facebook, where his page had over one million likes, making him one of Britain’s most popular political figures on social media.

YouTube has said it will not fully ban Tommy, but no-one will be able to see his videos without a ‘direct link’ and his content will become ‘undiscoverable’ with videos featuring a warning message before they play.

Christchurch Murders: The Real Accomplices

The Christchurch massacre — in which dozens of innocents were slaughtered in cold blood because of their religion, as they were assembled to pray — was a despicable, indefensible act. The reactions that followed were marked by legitimate indignation. Unfortunately, the attack was also used to launch a campaign both dangerous and treacherous.

Tarrant, in his manifesto, defined himself as an “eco-fascist” and wrote that he admires British Nazi Oswald Mosley and China’s communist regime, and that he rejects conservatism. Even though US President Donald J. Trump condemned the murders, the killer’s remarks were used to attack him.

Italy and Malta Enact More Intense Cooperation on Migrants

St Petersburg EXPLOSION: Multiple people injured after blast at military academy in Russia
    ====================
But that writes one Russian edition:
     “Ammunition could bring migrant workers”

    – What exploded?

    – The FSB and SC officers say that it was an “explosive device without a shell” … Although at first there was talk about a mine or even a tank projectile. But it is better to judge the specialists with this … The explosion was considerable … Demolished the flight of stairs and several dozen cadets could not therefore be equipped from the building.

    – How could the ammunition be on the territory of the regime?

    – This is a question for the investigators. I can only express my guess.

    – And what?

    – Let’s say, the ammunition could have been brought to the territory of the academy by outsiders … Suppose, so-called “guest migrant workers” … They work as janitors, cleaners …
