Why Are Investors Pulling Money Out of Global Stock Funds at the Fastest Pace Since the Last Financial Crisis?

We haven’t seen anything like this since the financial crisis of 2008. Investors are taking money out of global stock funds at a pace that we haven’t seen in 10 years, and many believe that this is a harbinger of tough times ahead. Global stocks lost about 10 trillion dollars in value during the first half of 2018, and an even worse performance during the second half of the year will almost certainly push the global financial system into panic mode. U.S. stocks have been relatively stable, and so most Americans are not too alarmed about what is happening just yet. But if you look back throughout history, emerging market chaos is often an early warning signal that a major global crisis is on the horizon, and that is precisely what is happening right now. Financial markets in emerging markets all over the planet are in the process of melting down, and the losses are becoming quite dramatic.

As stock prices around the planet start to plummet, investors are pulling money out of global stock funds very, very rapidly. The following comes from CNBC…

1990, Meet 2018: How Far Does 20MHz of Macintosh IIsi Power Go Today?

It turns out you can use a nearly 30-year-old bit of hardware for today’s demands.

The Macintosh IIsi, released in the third quarter of 1990, comes out of the factory with a Motorola 68030 processor clocked at 20MHz, 5MB of RAM, and an 80MB SCSI hard drive. Similar to its Apple contemporaries, it also came with a 1.44MB floppy disk drive, LocalTalk ports for a printer and modem, and an ADB port for keyboards and mice.

For the record, the SCSI2SD is the only real “cheat” used in this entire setup, replacing 80MB of spinning platters with 4GB of flash memory. This ridiculous amount of storage would have cost around $36,000 USD back in September 1990. I/O speed is still limited by the SCSI bus, and tests put its performance pretty close to that of a spinning disk.

I used System 7.5.5, although many of the same tasks would have been possible on System 6 and up. System 7.5 included many quality of life improvements, such as the Control Strip and compatibility with a massive variety of extensions and applications, at the expense of RAM and overall system performance.

Conservatives Mock “Resistance” With “Second Civil War Letters” After Portland Antifa Goes Down Hard

Last weekend’s violence in Portland between Antifa and Trump supporters produced a viral video of a “resistance” member being knocked out cold.

The man, wearing a black and yellow Fred Perry polo shirt, which has become the now-famous uniform of the Proud Boys, forced his attacker to the ground with one punch. After being knocked out, the Antifa supporter had to be carried away by a group of his fellow protesters.

Big League Politics reached out to Gavin McInnes, who founded the Proud Boys, whose only comment was “F#&k around and find out,” stating that Antifa “found out.” —Big League Politics

Democratic Socialists of America Leaders Rush to Endorse Communism and Violence

I consider DSAer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York to be extremely dangerous to the freedoms of this country. Democratic Socialists of America have seen a number of wins this year by getting members elected to office, but hers will be the biggest win so far and it foreshadows a new wave of young, millennial communist Democrats who will follow in her wake across the nation. Membership for DSA is exploding across the nation suddenly as millennials rush to imitate their new idol. Clueless, useful idiots on the run. She’s a Bernie Sanders acolyte and young voters are flocking to her.

She ran on a platform that promises the abolishment of ICE and the nationalization of healthcare using a single-payer system. She promises to impeach President Trump as well. Other planks include Medicare for all, a universal jobs guarantee, no tuition for education at schools or universities, paid family and sick leave, housing as a human right, ending the war on drugs, demilitarization of the police, doing away with prisons, open borders and decriminalization for illegal aliens, an infrastructure overhaul using green energy, ending corporate donations in politics and a peaceful economy (by force if necessary). She beat Crowley, the fourth-ranking Democrat in the House, by 15 points in a New York City district that covers the Bronx and part of Queens. It was a massive shock to not only the nation, but the Democrats themselves. Wake up and smell the communism guys.

If you don’t already read Far Left Watch, you should. They research and report on radical leftists here in the U.S. and they do a terrific job of it. DSA made headlines when their leadership from their Iowa State campus chapter encouraged people to shoot President Trump and when leadership from their University of Georgia Chapter called for the execution of house GOP members. Did you ever hear about that in the media? Nope. Now, a number of DSA leaders are endorsing communism out in the open as well. Far Left Watch puts it succinctly, it is “an ideology responsible or the oppression, incarceration, and murder of tens of millions of people.”

This is the original tweet from Olivia Katbi Smith, who is the co-Chair of the Portland DSA chapter — I find it eye-opening:

“As a DSA chapter co-chair I just wanna set the record straight for a minute: communism is good”

DSAer Wins a Seat in Congress

A radical leftist upstart’s unexpected primary trouncing of a key member of the House Democratic leadership is sending shockwaves through the Democratic Party establishment.

Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) member and first-time candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 28-year-old of Puerto Rican ancestry, crushed longtime U.S. Rep. Joe Crowley, a 56-year Irish-American Catholic, in the primary election June 26 for the 14th congressional district in New York, covering parts of the boroughs of Queens and The Bronx. Ocasio-Cortez, who previously worked as an organizer for Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential bid, garnered 57.5 percent of the vote compared to the 42.5 percent Crowley earned. Democratic socialism is a profoundly dishonest euphemism calculated to make the horrors of communism more palatable

Of course, democratic socialism is a profoundly dishonest euphemism calculated to make the horrors of communism more palatable.

As I’ve written before,

(…)

Other DSAers elected that month were Minneapolis City Council member Ginger Jentzen and Lakewood, Ohio, City Council member Tristan Rader.

Democratic Socialists of America is also affiliated with the terrorists of the Antifa movement.

Antifa are the self-styled anti-fascists who embrace fascist tactics and who have regained prominence in the post-Obama era for assaulting conservatives. Antifa trace their roots back to Nazi Germany where they opposed the Sturmabteilung (SA), or Nazi storm troopers, but copied their tactics, using their fists to shut down political opponents and break up meetings and rallies. The anarchists and communists of the Antifa movement are notorious for promiscuously labeling those they target as “fascists,” Nazis, and racists.

DSA activists use Saul Alinsky-approved tactics to get in the faces of their enemies.

[Comment: Norman Mattoon Matisse, six time Socialist Party candidate for President, said in 1944 : “I no longer need to run as Socialist Party candidate for President. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform.”]

Man Arrested in Shooting of Workers at Kansas School

Authorities have arrested a suspect in a shooting that critically wounded two contract workers outside a suburban Kansas City elementary school.

Overland Park, Kansas, Fire Department spokesman Jason Rhodes says the man was taken into custody Tuesday at a home where authorities found a sport utility vehicle that was carjacked after the shooting at Sunrise Point Elementary School.

The suspect shot two co-workers. No students were present when the shooting occurred.

Rhodes says when police moved closer to the property with armored vehicles, the suspect bolted from the back door and was taken down. His name hasn’t been released.

Police Chief Frank Donchez says the home belonged to the owner of the carjacked vehicle. He says it’s unclear what led the suspect to go to that home, describing it as “bizarre to say the least…

Man Threatened to Chop Up Rand Paul and His Family With an Ax: ‘This Needs to Stop!’

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has had a really, really rough year. First, he’s at a baseball practice where a Democratic terrorist named James Hodgkinson tried to kill a bunch of Freedom Caucus Republicans. Then, he’s personally attacked by his Democrat neighbor, Rene Boucher, who claimed it was over gardening issues involving tree limbs. Never did buy that and the guy got only a slap on the wrist for it too — a thirty-day sentence. But that’s being appealed to get him more time behind bars if possible. Paul got several broken ribs, broken teeth and a punctured lung that led to pneumonia.

He revealed today at an event in Litchfield, Kentucky, that some unhinged nutcase threatened to kill him and chop up his family with an ax. The guy that threatened Paul and his family was just arrested by police after a warrant was issued.

The Courier Journal reports that the man was taken into custody after he allegedly called in the threats to Paul’s Bowling Green office. “Capitol Police have issued an arrest warrant, this man had threatened to kill me and chop up my family with an ax,” Paul said while speaking to WHAS11 News’ Chris Williams. “It’s just horrendous that we have to deal with things like this.”

Netflix Host Michelle Wolf Compares Ivanka Trump to “Herpes” And Says There’s ‘Blood All Over You’

Just when I thought I could not be any more disgusted by the left, Netflix host Michelle Wolf says, “ Hold my beer.” Wolf is one of the most unfunny, vile people I think I have ever seen and that’ s saying something. Netflix, who I thought was great at first, is turning into the ultimate media sewer hole on the left these days. First it was Bill Nye with his profane, almost pornographic, insanity. Then the Obamas moved in and now this. Not impressed to say the least.

Wolf got her 15 minutes of infamy at the White House Correspondent Association’s annual dinner this year, where she insulted White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders mercilessly. Sanders withstood it and was far more gracious than I would have been in her heels. As part of her ‘roast’, Wolf made fun of Sanders’ appearance over and over again. “I actually really like Sarah. I think she’s very resourceful,” she said. “Like she burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smokey eye.” Who the hell thinks that’ s funny? No one I know.

Wolf has now outdone herself. She made a series of obscene remarks about women working in the White House, including comparing First Daughter Ivanka Trump to “herpes” and a “vaginal mesh.” Talk about gutter humor. She’ s trying to out-slur Samantha Bee who called Ivanka a ‘ c**t’ . Not cool. In Wolf’ s latest episode of The Break With Michelle Wolf, she encourages people not to halfway harass members of Trump’s family or administration, but instead use words that are “life alteringly hurtful.” This woman is inciting hatred and violence just like Maxine Waters and the rest of the left are. “You can’t just casually harass these people; you have to insult them specifically,” Wolf said. “C**t doesn’t hurt them — it’s on their vision board. You have to make sure your words are life-alteringly hurtful.”

So, the Marxists are now hiding behind humor and what they claim is free speech to harass people on the right… especially women.

Two former LMPD officers have been charged with serious crimes, as The Free Thought Project reported, and the city, with good reason, wanted to know more about how police handled the complaints from parents and reports children were being groomed, propositioned, and even raped.

Police: Double Shooting Outside of an Overland Park School Started as an Argument Over Tools

One person died as a result of that shooting, the other sustained critical injuries

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The Overland Park Police Department continues to investigate a double shooting that occurred around 9 a.m. Tuesday outside Sunrise Point Elementary School, located at 15800 Roe Avenue.

John Lacy, Overland Park Police Public Information Officer/Media Relations officer, confirmed two workers were shot at the playground outside the school and no students were injured.

Lacy said police believe there might have been some type of argument just before the shooting between employees of the contracted company doing work on the playground. KMBC 9’s Melanie Kendall was told by police the shooting was between co-workers of a construction company installing turf on the playground. She was told no kids were in the building, but all schools in the Blue Valley School District were secured as a precaution.

Both workers were rushed to an area hospital, but one later died.

After the shooting, the suspect attempted an unsuccessful car jacking at the Green Lantern Car Wash located at 15061 Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park. After leaving that scene, the suspect attempted another carjacking at 148th Street and Metcalf and was successful. The suspect took off with a black GMC Denali from that location.

Police then swarmed a neighborhood near 160th and Rosewood where that Denali was found. The suspect reportedly drove that vehicle back to the carjacking victim’s home before taking shelter inside that home.

Overland Park Police PIO John Lacy said authorities surrounded that home near W. 159th and Ash. He warned anyone living nearby to lock their doors and report anything suspicious while police and the ATF helped search for the suspect.

A short time later, the suspect was taken into custody.

Progressives Scramble to Block Potential Supreme Court Nominee Amy Coney Barrett Because She is a Committed Christian

There is a lot of buzz that Amy Coney Barrett is going to be President Trump’ s nominee for the Supreme Court, and that is causing many progressives to totally freak out. The reason that they are freaking out doesn’ t have anything to do with her credentials. In fact, as you will see below, Barrett is exceptionally qualified to be on the Supreme Court. She is sharp, intelligent and has a sterling reputation. But the left is already throwing a massive temper tantrum even though she isn’ t the nominee yet for one very simple reason. Amy Coney Barrett is a committed Christian, and progressives are deathly afraid that her Christian values will influence her decisions on social issues.

We all know that President Trump likes to make history, and it is being reported that nominating the first conservative woman to the Supreme Court is something that “ intrigues” him. The following comes from CNN’ s Jeff Zeleny…

Terrorism in Ohio: Years of Planned Attacks

CLEVELAND, OH — When law enforcement gathered on Monday to announce the arrest of Demetrius Pitts, the man accused of planning a terrorist attack on downtown Cleveland on Independence Day, there was no talk of the planned Valley View bridge bombing in 2012 or the Ohio State University attack in 2016.

Pitts allegedly wanted to plant vans filled with explosives around downtown Cleveland, specifically planning to target Voinovich Park, a U.S. Coast Guard Station and St. John’s Cathedral.

“This defendant plotted and scouted locations in downtown Cleveland for an attack on July 4th, when he knew it would be packed with people celebrating our nation’s birthday,” U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman said. “We will continue to do all we can to identify, arrest and prosecute those threats while working to keep our communities safe and secure.”

Pitts isn’t the first person accused of planning an attack in Ohio. Over the past 10 years, multiple terrorist plots have either been foiled or carried out in the Buckeye State

Universal Basic Incomes: The Latest Crackpot Idea From So-Called Progressives

The latest liberal fad for reducing poverty and income inequality is called a “universal basic income” or UBI for short.

California Democrats have included a UBI provision in their state Democratic platform. And two California cities are implementing limited UBI pilot projects. Unfortunately, the idea is both unaffordable and won’t fix the low-income problem.

Under universal basic income, everyone from the poorest to the richest—that’s why it’s called “universal”—would receive a taxpayer-provided monthly income, perhaps $1,000 per month, or $12,000 per year.

UBI certainly may have helped Alaskans pay some bills, but it didn’t come close to eliminating poverty.

Winning: Arizona Appellate Court Decides Hockey Stick Emails Must be Released

Press Release from FME Law

July 3, 2018

Arizona Appellate Court Decides Hockey Stick Emails Must Be Released Despite the University’s Appeal.

One thousand seven hundred and sixty-three days ago, on behalf of its client, the Free Market Environmental Law Clinic, PLLC (FME Law) asked the University of Arizona to hand over public records that would expose to the world the genesis of what some consider the most influential scientific publication of that decade — the Mann-Bradley-Hughes temperature reconstruction that looks like a hockey stick.

The University refused.

On February 26th of this year, and after submissions of legal briefings that now fill two banker’s boxes, and three trips to the Appellate Court, the trial court ordered release of the documents, giving the University 90 days to disclose the documents in a word-searchable form.

Europe Threatens US With $300 Billion in Tariffs

The trade war continues to escalate as Europe has threatened the United States with $300 billion worth of tariffs. The threats come as a retaliation against the US, which insisted on moving forward with duties on European cars.

US President Donald Trump recently threatened imports of European cars with a 20 percent tariff if Brussels doesn’t remove levies and other trade barriers on US goods. Instead of removing the levies, Brussels ratcheted up the trade war and rhetoric by returning threats.

In a letter sent Friday to the U.S. Department of Commerce, which was seen by the Financial Times, the European Commission warned that Trump could trigger a devastating global trade war with his auto-tariff threats. The EU insists it would be a trade war that the US could not win either. The letter did not lay out any specific measures, but only that the retaliation against the US would be forthcoming.

Italian Wikipedia Shutdown Protest Till Thursday

Online encyclopedia down in protest at EU copyright directive

(ANSA) — Rome, July 3 — The shutdown of the Italian version of Wikipedia in protest at the new European Union copyright directive will probably run until Thursday, a spokesperson for the group that runs the online encyclopedia said Tuesday.

“My impression is that the protest will last until Thursday.

Any longer would make no sense,” Maurizio Codogno, the spokesperson of Wikimedia Italia, told ANSA.

Wikipedia Italia has said the directive, which, among other things, proposes giving publishers the ability to request payment for the use of short bits of text, threatens the freedom of the Internet and could force it to close. Labour and Industry Minister and Deputy Premier Luigi Di Maio, the leader of the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S), has said he is against the directive. “We welcomed the support of the government,” said Codogno.

“We hope that the M5S MEPs are in line with Di Maio (when the directive is voted on in the European Parliament on July 5)”.

The European Parliament said in a statement that Wikipedia and other online encyclopedias were “automatically excluded from the requirements imposed by the new EU copyright rules”. Codogno replied that Wikipedia “did not take action just to save itself but also to defend the free Web” and “preserve the Web as an space that is open to less visible realities”.

European Newspapers Publishers Association ENPA is in favour of the directive, saying the massive reuse of journalistic material is threatening the free press and the future of journalism.

“(Wikipedia’s position) goes well beyond copyright and reflects a deeper debate that does not just cover press freedom, but the functioning of our democracies too,” said ENPA President Carlo Perrone.

“This is not just threatened by the economic sustainability of the press, but also by unacceptable, misleading campaigns by platforms to influence MEPs”.

Italy: Civil Service Heads to be Sacked if Slackers, Molesters

Those who tolerate irregularities to be punished too

(ANSA) — Rome, July 3 — Civil service managers who are guilty of “serial absenteeism” or are sex pests will be sacked under a new toughened code of conduct, sector body ARAN said Tuesday.

Managers who rack up “unjustified series of absences” in periods where service should be guaranteed or who are repeat offenders regarding “behaviour or molestation of a sexual nature” will be fired under the proposed code.

This will also be the case for staff.

The repeated “toleration of irregularities in service” on the part of staff will also be sanctioned.

Managers who have “altercations” or don’t apply rules on work safety or smoking bans can also be fined under the new code to the tune of 200-500 euros.

Wikipedia Italy Goes Dark to Protest EU Copyright Reform

Italian Wikipedia was blacked out on Tuesday in protest at a new EU copyright directive that the online encyclopedia says will restrict internet freedom.

Attempting to access any page on the Italian-language Wikipedia directed users to a statement on the EU’s Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market, a package of proposed reforms that would extend the rights of publishers to claim copyright fees on even short extracts of material reproduced online — for instance, snippets of news articles that appear under search results.

It would also oblige online platforms to scan all content that users try to upload — to YouTube, for example — and automatically block anything that risks infringing copyright.

The Trump-Putin Peace, Trade, And Friendship Talks

Authored by Brian Cloughley via The Strategic Culture Foundation

News that a meeting has been arranged between Presidents Trump and Putin on 16 July was greeted with displeasure in many sectors of the western world, and especially by the military-industrial complex, the cabal of war-profiteering US and European oligarchs whose interests lie solely in maintaining their lucrative arms manufacturing empires. Trade is most important to them — but peace and friendship come way down their page of priorities, because it is enmity and distrust that lead to lucrative sales of weapons.

Islamic State Claims Responsibility for Suicidal Blast on Hindu-Sikh Minorities in Afghanistan

19 dead, 20 injured in suicide bomb blast in Afghanistan’s Jalalabad; Hindus, Sikhs among those killed.

Upender Singh Kakkar | HENB | Jalalabad | July 1, 2018:: A suicide bomber blew himself up in a city in eastern Afghanistan where President Ashraf Ghani was visiting, killing at least 19 people, many of them Sikhs, officials said on Sunday, in the latest violence to rock the country. The attacker struck a market located hundreds of metres from the provincial governor’s compound where Ghani was holding meetings, governor spokesman Attaullah Khogyani toldAFP+.

Among the 19 dead were 15 Sikhs and 4 Hindus, the sources confirmed. Another 20 people were wounded.

There were scenes of anguish at the hospital where grieving relatives wept and hugged each other as they waited for news of their loved ones. “It is over for us, we are finished, they have massacred us, at least 10 of us,” a man toldAFP, too upset to give his name. Provincial health director Najibullah Kamawal confirmed 19 people had been killed, the majority of them Sikhs.

Small communities of Sikhs and Hindus reside in what is otherwise an overwhelmingly Muslim nation. It is not clear if they were the intended target of the attack. Interior ministry spokesman Najib Danish confirmed a suicide bomber carried out the attack, the latest in a series of recent deadly assaults in the restive province. Ghani’s spokesman said the president was still in Nangarhar but was “away from danger”…

China Has New Laser-Powered Rifle That Can Literally Set You on Fire

The newest Chinese rifle invention is not only laser-powered, but it can literally set a human being on fire. Oh, but don’ t worry too much; the Chinese government promises it’ s not lethal.

If you tick off the Chinese government, they just might send soldiers armed with “ non-lethal” laser-powered rifles that will set you to fire to correct your behavior. According to South China Morning Post, the new high-tech weapon is dubbed the ZKZM-500 and the “ laser assault rifle” has similar dimensions to that of the AK-47. The weapon allegedly weighs about 3 kilograms (6.6lbs) with a “ caliber of 15 millimeters” and it is powered by rechargeable lithium batteries that allow for 1,000 “ zaps” that last 2 seconds long each.

From 800 meters (about half a mile) away or less, the rifle can burn through a target’ s clothes and skin and, if their clothes are flammable, set them on fire, according to reporting done by The South China Morning Post. ZKZM-500 is reportedly now ready for mass production and to be used by China’ s military and police only (not a big surprise there since we all know that the slaves don’ t get any form of protection against the ruling class). But maker ZKZM Laser hasn’ t found a licensed partner yet. so it may be some time still before the Chinese police and military start setting those who irritate them by living freely on fire.

A Mexican Town Overthrew Their Local Government and Things Are Going Great

The town of Cheran was once plagued by people claiming the right to rule over them and now they live peaceful lives free of violence. After the town of 20,000 people in Mexico decided to take matters into their own hands by kicking out politicians, cops, and criminals, the now completely voluntary society is running great and the people finally have freedom and peace.

Cheran is now run by autonomous groups of armed individuals acting on a voluntary basis, with no one making laws, but no one harming each other either. Choosing to work together instead of submitting to the authoritarian regime previously claiming ownership over the town and those who reside in it, the people couldn’t be doing better now that they’ve grabbed a firm hold of their freedom.

It sure sounds scary to those unable to imagine a life of true freedom, but the town has been liberated since 2011 and no politician is allowed to come in and begin to control the people. According to Vice, armed men and women — not police, but members of an autonomous militia — guard every entrance to the town, looking for strangers with contraband. “Contraband” would be considered political propaganda posters of those who claim the right to rule other human beings. Since the town has been free since 2011, there’s no use for politicians or those who want power over others.

“The Rape Tree”: Why Texas Border Volunteers Go Where Others Dare Not Tread

Texas Border Volunteers are working day and night to help keep illegal aliens from crossing over into the US. The TBV rarely gets the credit they deserve, however, for preventing dangerous illegal aliens from entering Texas via Mexico.

Meet the Texas Border Volunteers…

Just before sundown, a group of men cloaked in camouflage from the Texas Border Volunteers halts their all-terrain vehicle, along a winding sandy road. As they make their way around the heavy brush, they circle around a pile of women’s undergarments, which lay at the foot of a tree. In sections of land near the U.S.-Mexico border, this is known as a “rape tree.” And for the residents of Brooks County, Texas, rape trees are popping up at an alarming frequency.

“I’ve had three rape cases in the last month,” says Benny Martinez, the chief deputy at the Brooks County Sheriff’s Department. “These guys are animals. There is an intimidation factor there. If they don’t give into the brush guide, [the women] get beat up.”

Chain Reaction if Berlin Shuts Borders — Kurz

Austria will follow if Germany takes ‘national measures’- Vienna

(ANSA) — Strasbourg, July 3 — Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz on Tuesday warned that there will be a chain reaction if German closes its borders to stop the flow of asylum seekers.

“I cannot anticipate what will happen in the coming weeks,” Kurz said in Strasbourg.

“It depends on what happens in Germany. If Berlin introduces national measures, which would have a chain reaction, it could mean that Austria would have to react too. “Our ambition in the long term is to have a Europe without internal borders, and that will be possible in the medium and long term.

“It depends on what Germany does for the short term”. Kurz said Vienna had solid relations with the Italian government. “With Italy we have solid relations and we respect the decision of the (migrant) quotas in all member countries and as Chancellor I have always sought to have good contacts with all neighbouring countries, but also with all EU partners,” he said. “But naturally as (EU) duty president it is necessary to cooperate with all the governments and heads of State and government of the EU”.

How Jeju Became Haven for Yemeni Refugees

Asylum seekers pit farmers against rest of islanders

By Kang Hyun-kyung

Jeju islanders were thrilled to hear the news in December that the budget airline Air Asia had just begun operating direct flights between the island and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, four times a week.

Airfare for return trips is just $200 to $300, depending on dates. To promote the nonstop flights, Air Asia began one-year hot deals for selected passengers where they could travel back and forth if they pay only 79,000 won ($70).

Besides the cheaper airfare, the shortened travel time is another plus; Jeju residents no longer need to transfer at Incheon International Airport to go to Malaysia.

The local government was excited as well in hopes that Jeju would attract more tourists from Southeast Asian countries amid a sudden decrease of Chinese tourists because of the fallout from the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) deployment. The local economy would benefit with an increase of foreign tourists.

Months later, such sweeping optimism has turned into worries.

The scenic southern island, which has long been a hot tourist destination for Koreans as well as foreigners, has experienced a rapid surge of unexpected visitors _ Yemeni refugees.

As of June 21, 486 Yemenis, who escaped from their war-torn country in search of hope and a better life, are staying on the island, seeking asylum.

The island is divided as some farmers are sympathetic about granting refugee status to the asylum seekers amid a sweeping backlash against the Yemeni refugees.

“For the Yemenis, Korea is portrayed as a land of opportunity,” said Kim Dae-yong, founder and president of the Jeju Islamic Culture Center. “Word of Korea spread fast among those Yemeni refugees in Southeast Asian countries because Korea is livable and as we recently have seen on this island, asylum seekers are even allowed to work here.”

He said neither the Jeju local government nor the immigration office had imagined the island would become a haven for refugees when the local government teamed up with Air Asia last year to offer direct flights between Jeju and Kuala Lumpur…

I’m thinking of the president of INPS. “But there is lots that needs to be changed, including in this part of the public system”. Media Fail: Trump’s Approval Rating Improved During Manufactured Border Outrage

President Trump’s job approval rating improved by five points during the establishment media’s manufactured outrage over Trump continuing the Obama administration’s policy of separating illegal alien adults from children at the border.

According to the Real Clear Politics poll of polls, on June 8, Trump’s approval rating rounded out to an average of 42 percent, while his disapproval rating averaged 54 percent — a 12 point gap.

As of Monday July 2, after two weeks of being pounded by the entire media over border enforcement, Trump’s approval rating has climbed to 44 percent, and his disapproval rating has dropped to 51 percent — a seven point gap.

That is a five point improvement during the very “scandal” the media predicted would be remembered as “Trump’s Katrina,” meaning the issue that drove public approval of the president into the dirt forever.

Part of that improvement is due to ten point surge in support from — wait for it, wait for it — Hispanic Americans.

Is God Male or Gender-Neutral? Episcopal Church Begins Debate on Book of Common Prayer

Since before the days of the early church, God has always been addressed in prayers as a male, including terms like Father, King, and Lord.

In the New Testament, Jesus taught his disciples to pray to God using a male term. In Luke 11:1-4, one of the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. “ And He said to them, When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name.’“ (NASV)

Now the Episcopal Church is debating about overhauling its Book of Common Prayer, which is used in Episcopal congregations worldwide.

The debate centers on making sure that prayers in the book are clear that God is not male, but doesn’t have a gender, The Washington Post reports.

“As long as ‘men’ and ‘God’ are in the same category, our work toward equity will not just be incomplete. I honestly think it won’t matter in some ways,” the Rev. Wil Gafney, a professor of the Hebrew Bible at Brite Divinity School in Texas told the newspaper.

Gafney is on the committee recommending a change to the gendered language in the prayer book. Like many other Episcopal priests, he wants a prayer book that upholds that God is bigger than any gender.

Long separated from the Church of England, the leaders of the Episcopal Church will be considering two resolutions during its convention which begins Tuesday in Austin, Texas.

One resolution asks for a modernization of the Book of Common Prayer which was last revised 39 years ago. According to the church, a complete revision would take several years and a new prayer book would probably not be ready for use in congregations until 2030.

Besides adding gender-neutral language concerning God, some advocates also want other revisions including, a Christian’s duty to the Earth’s conservation, adding same-sex marriage ceremonies to the liturgy, (since the church has been performing homosexual weddings for years) and even adding a ceremony to celebrate a transgender person’s adoption of a new name.

The other resolution asks that the church not update the Book of Common Prayer, but should spend the next three years studying the existing book. The prayer book’s roots go back to the first Anglican prayer book which was first published in 1549…

‘LGBT Segregation’: UK University Bans Straight People From Housing

A highly-ranked UK university has been slammed for promoting “segregation” after offering accommodation for “LGBT plus” students that bans straight people.

Celeste Jones, women’s officer at the University of Sheffield’s Student Union (SU), confirmed the blocks will be introduced in September, saying they were exclusively for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT+) people and would “offer students a safe space to be themselves”.

The SU at the red brick institution — voted by students as one of the best in the country — will be the first in the UK to separate students according to their sexuality and “gender identity” in this way.

Simon Thompson, director of Accommodation for Students, the UK’s largest university accommodation service, criticised the move and said it could divide student communities.

He told The Telegraph: “University is about opening your horizons and meeting people from different cultures, different backgrounds, different sexualities, everything.”

Adding: “I think it’s a disadvantage if people close themselves off and don’t socialise with straight people. It just seems madness to me.”…

The New Cold War: Russia, China and the United States Are Feverishly Preparing for Nuclear Conflict

While most of the world is focused on the World Cup and other trivial pursuits, the three global superpowers are busy jockeying for nuclear superiority. Historians will debate the extent to which the first Cold War ever really ended, but everyone pretty much agrees that a new Cold War has now begun. Russia, China and the United States are all racing to develop the next generation of nuclear weapons and delivery systems, and at this moment it is unclear who will ultimately come out on top in this arms race. In Russia, nearly the entire nation is united behind the push to modernize the Russian strategic nuclear arsenal, but the United States is a deeply divided society today, and most of the population believes other priorities are far more important than developing new weapons. Of course the United States started out with an edge in this new arms race, but now Russia and China

have been working extremely hard to eliminate that edge, and to a large degree they have succeeded.

When World War 3 is fought someday, submarines capable of delivering nuclear weapons will be one of the key factors, and all three global superpowers are rushing to upgrade their fleets. The following comes from USA Today…

  1. Universal Basic Income: [Comment: Used to silence the plebs during transition to totalitarian NWO. Once the NWO is achieved, then this will be withdrawn.]

I don’t think it will be withdrawn, I think it will turn into mandatory work – a “slave work” that is. Up untill this day you can hear communist speaking about “parasites” – that is those lazy evil people who don’t work but only consume the fruits of our socialism! We gonna make sure they work too!

One of the classic bureaucratic corruptions in Communist Czechoslovakia used to be getting a paper with some good “occupation” – proving to the police that you “work” somewhere, although oftentimes you didn’t have to show up for work at all, and do your own thing, for example “shadow trading” – and thus adding some extra money to your universal basic income, which was guaranteed under communism.

Universal basic income will turn into one giant mess of unproductivity, that can be dealt with only through the iron fists of violent slave masters.

    • Whatever is subsidized only results in more of it…subsidize unproductive humans, you end up with many more unproductive humans

  2. The attack in Afghanistan was a deliberate attack on Sikhs and Hindus, and is the final nail in the coffin for any prospect of religious minorities living peacefully in the country.

Afghanistan was the homeland to Hindus and Buddhists prior to the Islamic invasions – all signs and remnants of the classical Vedic and Buddhist culture are destroyed.

Hindu Kush is translated as Hindu ‘slaughter’, but that’s not something your geography teacher will ever tell you.

The religion of peace will not rest till it has killed off human civilisation and flourishing in all its manifestations.

I was never a religious person, but I do now believe there is something to the concept of ‘evil’.

    • The Kush in Hindu-Kush probably has something to do with Kushan Empire but certainly you can read it like Hindu Killer; That was nice. You know, the first thing a European with a persistent ideology does is attacking Poland. Their Asian counterparts attack Hindus.
