The boat carrying 40 migrants that was waiting 12 miles offshore from Tunisia has been denied permission to land by the Tunisian government. Now the boat’s crew must try Malta and Italy again, which is where they started out.
In other migration news, Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini says he wants the government to spend less money on migrants, and plans to cut some social benefits for new arrivals in order to reach his goal.

At 2.9 percent, the Czech unemployment rate is the lowest in 22 years, and in particular graduates have never had it easier finding work.

A millionaire businessman running for mayor in Chicago blessed a multitude of churchgoers — and potential voters — Sunday by handing out hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Influential San Francisco lawyer Steve Phillips and his billionaire socialist friends have long been meddling with Arizona. Turning the Grand Canyon state blue is a key part of Phillips’ plan to give a socialist Democratic Party a permanent monopoly on power in this country — what he euphemistically terms the “New American Majority.” With an exploding Latino population, Arizona is already trending Democrat. Faisal Hussain ID’d as Gunman in Deadly Danforth Shooting Attack
Faisal Hussain has been identified as the gunman in the deadly Danforth Avenue shooting rampage. He was 29 and lived in the Thorncliffe Park neighbhourhood of Toronto.
Family of 29-year-old shooter says he had severe mental health issues
Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit has identified Faisal Hussain as the gunman in the Danforth Avenue attack.(Twitter) Faisal Hussain has been identified as the gunman in the deadly Danforth Avenue shooting rampage.
Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) released Hussain’s identity on Monday evening, hours after he opened fire on a number of Danforth Avenue restaurants, killing two people and injuring 13 more.
Hussain, 29, then died of a gunshot wound after exchanging fire with Toronto police. The SIU is looking into whether Hussain was shot by police, or if he shot himself.
Earlier Monday, police executed a search warrant at Hussain’s residence, in the city’s Thorncliffe Park neighbourhood.
Hussain’s family issued an email statement to CBC Toronto saying they are devastated by what happened and suggested that their son was struggling with severe mental health challenges, including psychosis and depression.
“We are at a terrible loss for words but we must speak out to express our deepest condolences to the families who are now suffering on account of our son’s horrific actions,” the family’s statement said.

Toronto Shooting: Deadly Rampage in Greektown
Gunfire rang out along a busy Toronto street Sunday night leaving three people dead, including the 29-year-old man alleged to have been the shooter.
Toronto police say a total of 14 people were shot by a man with a handgun. According to Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit, two people were killed by a man who “fired shots at groups of people several times” while walking along Danforth Avenue.
Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders told reporters that police received a call shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday about a shooting near Danforth and Logan Avenues in Toronto’s east-end Greektown neighbourhood. The area has many restaurants, cafes and shops and is busy with pedestrians on summer nights.
Police caught up with the man on nearby Bowden Street. The SIU says shots were exchanged and the man ran back to Danforth, where he was found dead on a sidewalk.
SIU investigators will attempt to determine whether the suspect was killed by police or died by suicide, CP24’s Cam Woolley told Your Morning.
One of the people killed in the shooting was a woman, Saunders said, while a girl believed to be eight or nine years old was in critical condition as of Sunday night.
Multiple witnesses told Toronto’s breaking news station CP24 that they heard anywhere between a dozen and 20 shots. Woolley, a former police officer, said he saw “about a dozen” shell casings in one location and noticed bullet holes in a nearby coffee shop.
“I think he fired at least 30 rounds before he was intercepted by police,” Woolley told CTV’s Your Morning…

In Germany and Switzerland, hotel rooms are equipped with a Quran and a compass so that Muslim guests know in what direction they should pray towards Mecca.
Such Muslim-friendly considerations remain a rarity in Denmark and represent a missed opportunity according to the companies behind the study, Mastercard and Crescentrating, who reported Muslim tourism continues to thrive, reaching 131 million travellers in 2017.
Of the 130 countries put under the spyglass for 2018’s Global Muslim Travel Index, Denmark came in at a modest 84th place.

Fact Checking the UK Media’s Lies About Tommy Robinson’s Appeal
I was in London for most of last week, attending the legal appeal made by Tommy Robinson’s lawyers. (See all my reports at TommyTrial.com)
Before the trial go underway, I asked a clerk to check with a judge whether or not I could use my laptop in the court, and to “tweet” my comments live. And he said yes — and so I set up my laptop, I sat right beside Tommy’s solicitor Jon Carson, and I typed as fast as I could for the appeal.
According to Twitter analytics, I wrote more than 150 tweets from court, that were seen 5.7 million times in 12 hours!
There were about half a dozen other media in the court. But their hatred for Tommy eclipses their love of the facts and the news.
They just plain lied about him.

Italy: ‘Dangerous’ Roma Camp Seized in Palermo
Amid waste dumps, flying electrical cables
(ANSA) — Palermo, July 18 — Italian police on Wednesday sequestered a Roma camp they said was “dangerous” in Palermo.
The Favorita Camp showed a “serious situation of danger for the persons living in it, forced to live amid flying electrical cables with the risk of being electrocuted, and amid illegal waste dumps,” a preliminary investigations judge said.
Palermo Mayor Leoluca Orlando, the owner of the site, has been notified about the measure, as well as the head of the local fire brigade, who has been named caretaker.
There is a criminal probe against person or persons unknown for alleged illegal waste dumping and failure to comply with official acts.

Italy: Woman Raped in Reggio Emilia
20-year-old pushed behind bush by ‘foreigner’
(ANSA) — Reggio Emilia, July 23 — A 20-year-old woman was raped last night on the outskirts of Reggio Emilia, police said Monday.
The victim said she was attacked from behind by an unknown aggressor, “probably a foreigner”, at around nine o’clock.
She said she was pushed behind a bush and raped by the man, who then fled the scene.
The woman, injured and in shock, was taken to hospital.
Police are seeking the man.

The hunt for the thugs who deliberately hurled acid in the face of a three-year-old boy in Worcester reached London today as three men were arrested 130 miles away in the capital overnight.

Poll: Brits Overwhelmingly Reject Tory ‘Soft Brexit’
The British public is overwhelmingly opposed to the Prime Minister’s plan for a “soft” Brexit and almost a third of voters are prepared to back a new, right-wing party committed to a clean Brexit, a poll shows.
Theresa May’s Chequers Brexit plan will keep the United Kingdom tied to all the bloc’s goods rules, severely limiting the nation’s ability to control trade policy, and reports suggest she could also retreat on migration, allowing “Free Movement by another name”.

Spanish Surgeon Warns on Balcony-Jumping Trauma in Balearic Islands
The number of drunk mostly British and Irish tourists ending up in hospital in Spain’s Balearic Islands after jumping from balconies has spiked this year, a surgeon who has studied the dangerous craze warned Friday.

Police in Sadiq Khan’s London are seeking a gang of “possibly Turkish” men who broke into a family home and threatened the occupants, including children, with a machete, a rifle, and a “machine gun”.

Tech CEO: China Real Cyber Threat, Not Russia

KANO (NIGERIA) (AFP) — Young boys scramble up the remains of a crumbling section of the ancient city wall in the Kofar Na’isa area of Kano, in northern Nigeria.
“This wall may not survive the rainy season,” warned Falalu Musa, a local resident.
“It will soon join the others,” he added, pointing to mounds of red earth lying nearby.

Afghan Migrant Stabs 18-Year-Old Norwegian Boy to Death for No Reason
An 18-year-old employee was stabbed to death while working in a Coop supermarket in Vadsø, Norway’s VG reports.
The Norwegian teen, called Håvard Pedersen, was murdered by an 17-year-old Afghan migrant. Although co-workers were on-site, they did not see what happened in those seconds — except that a boy ran out of business with a “knife-like object”.

Former acting ICE Director Thomas Homan slammed Netflix host Michelle Wolf in a Saturday interview, calling her video mocking the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency as “the most repulsive thing” he has seen in 34 years.

A Portland non-profit food cart was shut down after the owners faced alleged harassment from Occupy ICE protesters Friday.

Robert Spencer has written a great many essential books alerting the world to the truth about the jihad threat, but now he has delivered his magnum opus. The History of Jihad: From Muhammad to ISIS is the first book to provide an overview of the entire history of jihad, against Europe, against India, against Africa, against Israel, against the United States of America, and more. If more of our policymakers knew this history, they would be formulating more realistic and more effective policies, both domestic and foreign, to deal with the jihad threat.
