Gates of Vienna News Feed 2/5/2017

Abdallah Hamamy, the mujahid who attacked soldiers near the Louvre, is reportedly refusing to talk to French police. Mr. Hamamy’s father, however, is talking to the international press. The elder Hamamy told reporters that what happened was an instance of police brutality against his son, who is just a poor young man.

In other news, the Council of Clerics at Al-Azhar University in Cairo has rejected any reform of divorce laws in Egypt, rebuffing efforts by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to effect change.

6 Bundy Ranch ‘Gunmen and Followers’ To Begin Trial

A federal jury in Nevada is about to be picked to decide whether a tense standoff pitting armed ranchers and rangers against federal agents over a herd of cattle in a dry river bed amounted to a peaceful expression of free speech and weapon rights, or an insurrection against the U.S. government.

Trial begins Monday in Las Vegas for six men — the first of a trio of proceedings for 17 defendants that will later include Nevada cattleman Cliven Bundy, four of his adult sons and seven other men. Each is facing the equivalent of the rest of his life in prison for the confrontation nearly three years ago.

The courtroom showdown is the latest battle over Western federal land policy dating to the Sagebrush Rebellion in Nevada more than 40 years ago. A jury in Oregon in October acquitted seven people, including two Bundy brothers, of federal conspiracy and weapon charges in an occupation of a federal wildlife refuge.

“They’re not the Bundys,” said Todd Leventhal, attorney for defendant Orville Scott Drexler, one of the six whose case begins Monday. “But realistically, this is a Bundy case. The outcome of this trial affects the other two.”

After Federal Judge Halts Trump Ban, His Sinister Secret is Exposed That Explains Everything!

The media has placed a large spotlight on the current executive order mandated by the President that places a temporary hold on countries in the Middle East and parts of Africa that have been identified as terrorist hotspots. But people are calling it a Muslim ban. Regardless of the fact that a plethora of predominantly Muslim countries are not counted on that list. Countries such as Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and more. Now a federal court judge has halted the President’s order.

Federal Judge James Robart is the man overseeing the case on the executive order. He was appointed during the George W. Bush administration back in 2003. His ultimate ruling was that the order would be eliminated nationwide. However, new research indicates he is also a Black Lives Matter supporter.

Watch below.

BuzzFeed Sued for Defamation Over Trump Dossier ‘Fake News’

BuzzFeed (as well as editor in chief Ben Smith and former British spy Christopher Steele) faces a new lawsuit over its publication of an unverified dossier of claims against President Trump and others, McClatchy reported Friday evening. In response to the lawsuit, Politico reports that BuzzFeed issued an apology on Friday evening (presumably admitting to publishing ‘fake news’).

Exposed: How World Leaders Were Duped Into Investing Billions Over Manipulated Global Warming Data

Report claimed pause in global warming never existed, but was based on ‘unverified’ data

The Mail on Sunday today reveals astonishing evidence that the organisation that is the world’s leading source of climate data rushed to publish a landmark paper that exaggerated global warming and was timed to influence the historic Paris Agreement on climate change.

A high-level whistleblower has told this newspaper that America’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) breached its own rules on scientific integrity when it published the sensational but flawed report, aimed at making the maximum possible impact on world leaders including Barack Obama and David Cameron at the UN climate conference in Paris in 2015.

The report claimed that the ‘pause’ or ‘slowdown’ in global warming in the period since 1998 — revealed by UN scientists in 2013 — never existed, and that world temperatures had been rising faster than scientists expected. Launched by NOAA with a public relations fanfare, it was splashed across the world’s media, and cited repeatedly by politicians and policy makers.

But the whistleblower, Dr John Bates, a top NOAA scientist with an impeccable reputation, has shown The Mail on Sunday irrefutable evidence that the paper was based on misleading, ‘unverified’ data.

It was never subjected to NOAA’s rigorous internal evaluation process — which Dr Bates devised.

[Comment: Use RICO laws to claw back the money from the private central banksters. Fire and/or jail every politician/”scientist” involved in the scam.]

Hashtag Mentality and Today’s College Students

We are at a point in America where much of the populace has become no more than a reactionary mob. While assorted protests may appear to be an exercise in our liberties such as freedom of speech as well as a natural desire to rebel, the reasons are more prosaic: the ignorance of our citizens, primarily the college-aged. It’s compounded by a lack of real-world experience and by social media, a dangerous combination. While a lack of understanding of the world isn’t necessarily the fault of any college-aged citizen, social media is another matter, with its use playing a special role in the creation of reactionary mobs.

Take the highly charged executive order halting Middle Eastern refugees signed by President Trump. As is the case of most executive orders, few individuals took the time to read it. Instead, the masses reacted based on what they saw on social media. Some enterprising individual created the deceptive hashtag “MuslimBan”, and the outrage began. Obviously #MuslimBan is total fallacy, because it is in fact not a Muslim ban. But social media isn’t about facts, it’s about clicks, it’s about drawing attention, regardless of one’s political affiliation. It is also the primary means of news and conversation for this generation of college-aged citizens.

Age is a significant factor in the ignorance of social media warriors and hashtag experts. A 21-year-old college student was a mere five years old when the twin towers fell on Sept. 11, 2001. To a five-year-old, such an event might not even elicit a stored memory. They have no recollection of the way things were before the terrorist attacks, and most of their memories have formed after it. During that time, the country has been more akin to a police state as we trade liberty for security. It is the only world they know. I hardly expect those same children to have remembered when President Obama temporarily halted Iraqi visas in 2011, five years earlier. The average 15-year-old has much more on his or her mind than American politics and actions stemming from wars they have always been familiar with. At the same time, they have no memory of why we were and still are fighting them.

Here Are the Democrats Who Voted for Neil Gorsuch as a Circuit Court Judge in 2006

[Note to GoV readers: Neil Gorsuch is Trump’s first candidate for a Supreme Court candidate. Once upon a time — in 2006, BT (Before Trump), he was considered good enough. Read on…]

Some Senate Democrats, including Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) and Jeff Merkley (Ore.), have already signaled their plans to obstruct and vote against Judge Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. But some Democrats appear to have forgotten the votes of colleagues in their own party to confirm Gorsuch to the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals back in 2006.

At the time, Gorsuch had been nominated by former President George W. Bush to serve on the 10th Circuit Court and was approved by a voice vote in the Senate—which included 45 Democrats.

Current Democratic senators who voted for his confirmation at the time include Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.), Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (Ill.), and ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee Patrick Leahy (Vt.).

Schumer questioned whether Gorsuch would be able to serve as an impartial judge on the Supreme Court in a statement he released Tuesday night…

[See full listing at URL, above. It includes Obama and Hillary, back when they were mere Senators. But suddenly, this Trump nominee isn’t good enough? This Dem Screaming has nothing to do with politics-as-usual. Honest.]

Leftist Magazine Shows Trump in Crosshairs: ‘Why Not’

“It’s not an incitement to anything.” Riiight.

Leftist magazine The Village has come under heavy fire for lacing their cover with a picture of President Trump in crosshairs with the caption, “Why Not.”

Dubbing itself “Ireland’s political and cultural magazine,” The Village crossed a tasteless line with an article that asks several questions about the potential assassination of Trump. Though the magazine never openly endorses it, The Village clearly wants to throw the carrot out there to see if the rabbit will come and take a bite.

Legislating From the Bench and Putting America in Danger

The federal judge — who on Friday issued a restraining order on President Donald Trump’s program to prevent Muslim refugees and visitors from a number of terrorist hotbeds from entering the United States until they can be vetted and certified as no threat to American citizens — is an activist who believes his job is to provide social justice rather than interpreting the U.S. Constitution. www.judicialselectionstrikeforce.org

[…]

Klayman had this to say:

“The ruling is regrettably not surprising, as this judge not only disobeyed and flouted the law but apparently was more intent on making a name for himself in a very leftist state, Washington, and around the nation. While he was nominated by former President George W. Bush, this means little to nothing. The Bush family and many of its Republican establishment officials, after the unsuccessful presidential campaign of Jeb Bush, not only harbor an animus against President Trump, but W.’s appointed federal judges during his failed administration were generally not strict constructionists of the Constitution, or the rule of law. In addition to this renegade Seattle judge, James Robart, who also has taken over control of the Seattle Police Department, I am reminded of another W. appointee, federal judge Murray Snow who presides in the federal court in Phoenix, Arizona, who not only also has taken control of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, but unethically persecuted former Sheriff Joe Arpaio, boasting to his wife that he was bent on destroying Arpaio while presiding over a contempt trial sparked by the ultra-leftist and itself unethical ACLU.

“The bottom line is this: Judge Robart has illegally and unconstitutionally blocked executive power to curtail immigration of non-citizens and non-permanent residents, all of which have no rights to enter this country at will. Here, there was not even a bar put in place by President Trump, but simply a temporary hold on issuing visas to allow time to put in place an extreme vetting process to weed out terrorists.

Thus, President Trump’s reaction to this outrageous grab of judicial power was mild. Judge Robart should be impeached for his blatant political act and illegal grandstanding, obviously designed to make a name for himself.

Look at What Just Happened at Starbucks and it Was All Caught on Video

Donald Trump issued an executive order banning travel into the United States for residents from seven Muslim countries. It didn’t take long for liberals to lose their minds over the order; they began to protest in airports around the world, and federal judges moved to overturn the executive order. Then Starbucks got involved — and it backfired on them massively.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz responded to Trump’s executive order by announcing that they would hire 10,000 refugees. Trump supporters immediately mobilized, organizing a boycott of Starbucks. Within hours, #BoycottStarbucks was trending on social media, and other rival coffee companies were moving to take advantage of Starbucks’ misstep.

One Trump supporter took a video in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the video, you can see a very long line for Caribou Coffee… while Starbucks sits empty across the street.

Man Freed Early From Life Sentence by Obama Back in Jail

(San Antonio Express-News) A San Antonio man who was freed from life in prison by President Barack Obama is back behind bars after allegedly crashing his vehicle into another motorist and undercover police cars while fleeing from a drug deal Thursday.

Robert M. Gill, 68, whose life sentence for cocaine and heroin distribution conspiracy was commuted by Obama and expired in 2015, was profiled last year in the Express-News about his readjustment to life on the outside.

Jailed from the time of his arrest in 1990, Gill earned a legal education inside prison libraries and successfully petitioned the then-president for a second chance after his court appeals were exhausted.

He was taken to federal court Friday, and U.S. Magistrate Judge Henry Bemporad ordered him held without bond pending a bail hearing on Feb. 16. Gill is charged with possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.

Old Pasadena Cheesecake Factory Restaurant Struck by Second Mishap in Two Days

Only 46 hours after after a man hurled a pyrotechnic device into a crowd of diners in The Cheesecake Factory in Old Pasadena, the popular eatery was struck by a second, unrelated mishap when a careening car smashed into its exterior and nearly struck a family at a window table.

The car was attempting to turn south onto Fair Oaks Avenue from Colorado Boulevard failed to complete the turn successfully and crashed into a low wall and window of restaurant at 3:54 p.m. Saturday, Pasadena Police Lt. John Mercado said.

There were no serious injuries or arrests.

“Minor injuries from glass in window but nobody transported [to a hospital],” said Pasadena Fire Dept. spokesperson Lisa Derderian. “Could have been a lot worse.”

Police do not suspect alcohol or drugs were involved, Mercado said.

An eyewitness tells Pasadena Now the car which crashed had been attempting to turn rapidly to beat the pedestrians after the light turned green but did not see an oncoming car, lightly bumped it and then stopped.

After a pause, the car which crashed suddenly rapidly accelerated straight into the Cheesecake Factory, the witness said. The plate glass window was damaged, but a family seated at the window table escaped unharmed. A newsstand was run over as well.

In an earlier incident on Thursday, an unknown man open the restaurant’s main doors and threw a pyrotechnic device into the restaurant where it rolled under an unoccupied table and exploded, causing panic but no injuries.

The suspect in that incidents remains at large.

Secret Service Was Just Called to Investigate Major Crimes to Sabotage Trump — Look Who’s Involved Again!

Gee, another computer fiasco involving the Democrats. Who didn’t see this coming? Remember Hillary’s home brewed server and the thousands of emails that were not properly secured? It opened us up to security breaches and basically invited our enemies in to see everything the State Department was up to. It was a clear violation of the Espionage Act. Now this… at least five IT contractors have been accused of improperly accessing the House computer system, along with taking hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment and billing the House for amounts that are greater than the cost of equipment. These contractors worked for dozens of House Democrats.

Information obtained by the contractors was stored on a cloud server leaving it open to possible hacking by foreign agents. Investigators don’t believe espionage was involved, but they can’t be certain. And there is a distinct possibility that the information was being sold to interested parties here in the US. No House members themselves are under investigation, but we all know that many of them are corrupt and have been before. No arrests have been made yet, but it sure looks like there will be. Why aren’t any Democrats being held accountable for this?

Senate Just Delivered Final Blow to Obama’s Legacy — Votes to Overturn This Obama Order

The last 8 years of unconstitutional executive orders and forcing through illegal policies has weighed a heavy burden on the country and the taxpayer. No more so than the ultimate job killer, Obamacare. But now, the pendulum has swung to the other side, and everything is on the chopping block.

Yesterday in the Senate, a vote of 54-45 was struck to abolish Obama’s order that had the adverse effect of almost completely wiping out the coal mining industry and thus taking 83,000 jobs off the job market.

As you might have known, it was the government’s Stream Protection Act that did it — sending thousands of the workers into joblessness.

Obama’s call for this policy was idealistic and selfish. Instead of working with the coal companies to find a middle ground and area of compliance, he plunged the knife in and threw hard working people out of a job.

Now, with the Senate’s vote, that will bring back the coal industry and the tax income dollars made from the behemoth energy field, thousands will be rehired, retrained, and be able to support their families and themselves. As far as the environment is concerned, further jobs could be provided in overseeing that proper procedure takes place and that waste material is kept from contaminating the natural sources of water.

The Office of Surface Mining completion of the new policy book was just completed this last December of 2016, but now that the vote has gone in favor of jobs and energy, that will be thrown out as well along with the Act. The deregulation also contains a block preventing other lawmakers from trying to reestablish the Act.

The Press Eunuchs Rattling Their Cups

In Imperial China, the palace eunuchs were given cups (paos) in which their external genitalia were preserved in alcohol. Watching the once docile and obedient to Obama press continuing their rage at the new order reminded my friend Thomas Lipscomb of the scene in the movie The Last Emperor when the exiled eunuchs “proceed to demonstrate their anguish by waving their mummified masculinity and howling.” I cannot think of a better analogy to this week’s continuing media meltdown.

I cannot begin to list all the fabrications being peddled by the now out of favor and all but exiled mainstream media this past week. John Nolte published a list of fake news by the national media as of January 25 and this week followed up with another list of the biggest lies for the ensuing week. If you read a newspaper or watched TV newscasts, you might want to read his dissection and links lest you remain forever misled. Paraphrased in short form, here are some of the most significant:

The entire media lied about Trump’s immigration suspension being a Moslem Ban

Time magazine blamed its misreporting on Trump’s Executive orders on Trump.

The Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler “called on foreign service officers to sign a dissent memo” which was then used as an anti-Trump story.

It’s obvious that the cover went too far when displaying its hate for President Trump, but the cover’s purpose, and ultimate goal, is shared among many neo-liberal left and neocon right publications…to remove Trump from the Office of POTUS. To compare even indirectly and in a cartoon cover Donald Trump’s ‘travel ban’ Executive Order with the murderous barbarism of ISIS and of other Jihadis is not merely ridiculous; it is also deeply offensive.

Trump Was Right! Look What Horrifying Plans These Muslims Had Seized From Their Florida Mosque

It’s not a difficult thing to understand. All it takes is a little study and fact checking because the liberal view that Islam is the religion of peace is utterly false from its historical standpoint. Yes, peaceful practicing Muslims do exist, and they outnumber the violent radicals — but that won’t matter one bit unless the peaceful band together, call out the radicals among them, and fight back.

The world will get nowhere without them on our side, and neither of us can afford for them to live in silence while those who share the same religion are murdering and raping around the world.

Now with that, let’s introduce a new story to you that has unfolded in Florida, and see if any of the Democrats or anyone on the left sees a problem with it. CAIR-Florida Regional Operations Director Nezar Hamze, has taken it upon himself and others to hold firearms training in the Mosque, as a way to protect themselves…

The Society of Sarasota is considered by many to be anti-American — a disgusting and legal sentiment — as they have shown support for those who have committed suicide bombings and their families. Are the Democrats making any noise about this? Nope. I know we could apply this to just about anything, but here’s a question — would the Democrats care if it was a Christian church? The answer is a big resounding YES.

CAIR has been linked to terrorism, yet still, are allowed influence in the United States. There is nothing in the Constitution that prevents a church from holding such training, but with the details being as they are — CAIR, a supporter of terrorist groups like HAMAS being involved, and the fact that the left has been decrying for decades the act of carrying firearms in churches — you can see the hypocrisy here.

Trump Just Responded Brilliantly to the Agent Who Said She Wouldn’t Protect Him

Secret Service agents have one very simple, albeit dangerous, job: to protect the President of the United States, along with other government officials. Politics do not play a role in this job. Secret Service agents are expected to be neutral and unbiased, and to be a professional on the job at all times, regardless of who the president or government official they are protecting may be.

One liberal agent really, really didn’t understand her job. And when she foolishly went public with her incompetence, karma hit her back big time.

Kerry O’Grady is a senior special agent in charge of the Secret Service Denver division. Throughout the election season, she frequently posted to Facebook about her dislike of Donald Trump. But she went too far when she said that she would not be willing to take a bullet for him, even though she holds a senior security role with the Secret Service. In her post, which she published in October, O’Grady wrote that she was officially endorsing Hillary Clinton and that she would go to jail before taking a bullet for Trump.

Her reason? Because she said that Trump’s presidency would be a “ disaster” for the country, and for women and minorities in particular. In her post, she mentions the Hatch Act, which bars federal employees from engaging in some partisan political activities. So she clearly knew exactly what she was getting herself into.

“ As a public servant for nearly 23 years, I struggle not to violate the Hatch Act. So I keep quiet and skirt the median,” she wrote. “ To do otherwise can be a criminal offense for those in my position. Despite the fact that I am expected to take a bullet for both sides. But this world has changed and I have changed. And I would take jail time over a bullet or an endorsement for what I believe to be disaster to this country and the strong and amazing women and minorities who reside here. Hatch Act be damned. I am with Her.”

The Secret Service didn’t have much sympathy. O’Grady is now under investigation for those posts on social media, and she has also been suspended from her job (with pay). Hopefully, this will serve as a reality check for O’Grady, and if it doesn’t, then she needs to be permanently fired. Being a Secret Service agent doesn’t mean protecting the president only if your political beliefs align. If she doesn’t get that, then she has no business being an agent anymore.

Useful Idiots No More

The Trump administration pulls the plug on official Islamophilia.

“Tell him you are a Muslim, tell him you are a Muslim,” Nancy Pelosi instructed Congressman Andre Carson at an anti-Trump rally on Monday, moments after she had just introduced him as a “Muslim member of Congress.” She apparently felt that the crowd hadn’t sufficiently gotten the point.

Pelosi normally rattles on about the dangers of “religion in politics,” but on Monday night she very much wanted religion in it — and not just any religion, but the most patriarchal of them. To see feminists hawking Islam so feverishly is an amusing spectacle, especially since a day or so later Pelosi had recovered her fear of religion in the public square and creeping Christian patriarchy. She cast Trump’s nomination of Neil Gorsuch as a gift to the religious right — one that imperils all women, not to mention those Americans who “breathe air, drink water, eat food, take medicine, or in any way interact with the courts.”

Pelosi’s comment, in sheer battiness, exceeds even Ted Kennedy’s histrionics over “Robert Bork’s America.” Kennedy envisioned Bork busting down bedroom doors, re-segregating lunch counters, forcing women into back alleys, and confiscating Darwin’s books, but he stopped short of accusing Bork of threatening to cut off people’s access to air…

France: Louvre Museum Reopens; Egypt Identifies Machete Attacker

In another tweet in Arabic written shortly before the Louvre attack, Hamahmy posted an angry tirade: “No negotiation, no compromise, no letting up, certainly no climb down, relentless war.”

“This is all a scenario made up by the French government to justify the soldiers opening fire,” he added. “He is a very normal young man.”

France Election: Far-Right’s Le Pen Rails Against Globalisation

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has launched her presidential election manifesto with a twin attack on globalisation and radical Islam.

The candidate of the National Front (FN) told supporters in the eastern city of Lyon that globalisation was slowly choking communities to death.

Her party is promising to offer France a referendum on EU membership if a renegotiation of terms fails.

France goes to the polls on 23 April in one of the most open races in decades.

The incumbent Socialist President, Francois Hollande, is not standing for a second term.

The FN is styling itself as the original anti-establishment party, with its leader hoping to cash in on the “time for change” feeling generated by Donald Trump’s election and the Brexit vote in Britain.

Louvre Attack: Injured Suspect ‘Refusing to Speak’ To Investigators

A man suspected of attacking soldiers with two machetes at Paris’s Louvre Museum on Friday is refusing to speak to investigators, judicial sources say.

The man, believed to be 29-year-old Egyptian Abdullah Hamamy, was shot in the stomach as, authorities say, he lunged at soldiers with the knives.

President Francois Hollande says there is little doubt it was a terrorist act.

But Mr Hamamy’s father has challenged the French authorities’ account of the incident.

Reda al-Hamamy, a retired Egyptian police general, said his son was not a terrorist and accused the soldier who fired of “using brute force with a poor young man”.

French authorities say the suspect also shouted the Islamic phrase “Allahu Akbar” (“God is greatest”) during the attack.

Muslim Pupils Outnumber Christians in Dozens of British Church Schools

EDUCATION experts have called for some church schools to become secular institutions after figures revealed Islamic pupils outnumber Christian students in dozens of the institutions, including one with a “100 per cent” Muslim attendance.

About 20 Church of England (CoE) schools are estimated to have a majority Muslim population, as do 15 Roman Catholic schools, latest available figures reveal.

One school, St Thomas in Werneth, Oldham, is reported to have no Christian pupils at all, according to the local diocese.

Romania Protesters Not Backing Down After Decree Repeal

About 500,000 demonstrators have rallied across Romania, despite the government revoking a controversial decree that fuelled their discontent.

The left-wing government earlier scrapped the decree, which would have shielded many politicians from prosecution for corruption.

But protesters remain dissatisfied about a revised version of the bill which will now be put to parliament.

Some are calling for the government of PM Sorin Grindeanu to resign.

Recent days have seen Romania’s largest protests since communism fell in 1989.

Trump as Nero: Europe Must Defend Itself Against a Dangerous President

The United States president is becoming a danger to the world. It is time for Germany and Europe to prepare their political and economic defenses.

A DER SPIEGEL Editorial By Klaus Brinkbäumer

Germany must stand up in opposition to the 45th president of the United States and his government. That’s difficult enough already for two reasons: Because it is from the Americans that we obtained our liberal democracy in the first place; and because it is unclear how the brute and choleric man on the other side will react to diplomatic pressure. The fact that opposition to the American government can only succeed when mounted together with Asian and African partners — and no doubt with our partners in Europe, with the EU — doesn’t make the situation any easier.

Europe must grow stronger and start planning its political and economic defenses. Against America’s dangerous president.

Islamic Authority Rejects Egypt’s Move to Reform Divorce

Egypt’s top Islamic authority has rejected the president’s suggestion for legislation that would invalidate the practice of men verbally divorcing their wives.

Al-Azhar’s Council of Grand Clerics said Sunday that verbal divorce, when appropriately declared by husbands with sound minds, has been an undisputed practice since the days of the 7th century Prophet Muhammad.

As a compromise, it proposed harsher penalties for those who don’t swiftly document such divorces.

Alarmed by high divorce rates, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi last month suggested that legislation be adopted so a divorce would be legal only in the presence of a state-authorized cleric.

El-Sissi has spoken in the past of reforming Islamic teachings in order to combat extremism.

Turkish Police Detain Over 440 People in Anti-ISIS Operation

It said a total of 445 people were detained in simultaneous pre-dawn police operations that spanned several cities, including Istanbul and Gaziantep, near the border with Syria.

The largest operation was in the southeast province of Sanliurfa, where police took into custody more than 100 suspects from multiple addresses and found materials relating to ISIS militants.

Security forces also apprehended nine suspects who were allegedly preparing an attack in the northwestern city of Izmir.

Murky Indonesian Cults in the Spotlight After Sex, Drug and Murder Scandals

Screenshot from a video released by Taat Pribadi aka “Dimas Kanjeng”, a cult leader who attracted a huge and influential following in Java by persuading people that he could magically multiply money they gave him through an elaborate, supernatural ritual. He was arrested in September for allegedly ordering the murder of two of his followers.

Cult-like groups have long existed across the vast Indonesian archipelago, which is home to hundreds of different ethnic groups and where belief in local spirits and black magic are often fused with the dominant religion of Islam.

Belief in the supernatural is common across Asia. From China to Thailand, politicians often turn to soothsayers for advice.

But in recent times in Indonesia, the deep-rooted belief in the occult has taken a dark turn with several cases of sham cult leaders facing allegations ranging from murder to fraud and sexual assault.

‘Rent-a-Monk’ Biz Thrives as Japan Loses Temple Ties

Unease in Colombia, As Old Enemies Become New Neighbors

The town’s name is Spanish for “peace.” The days to come will test how accurate that is.

Across the country, an estimated 7,000 rebels with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, will hand their guns to United Nations monitors this year. The weapons will be melted down and shaped into war monuments. The FARC, too, hopes to transform, becoming a political group representing the left, like those that emerged after the guerrilla wars of Nicaragua and El Salvador.

Experts: Social Media Giants Fight Trump’s Anti-Terror Plan While Providing Platform for Terrorists

Twitter’s $1.6 million pledge to help fight the White House’s anti-terror immigration order is just the latest case of social media companies taking on Trump, but critics say the same companies are doing next to nothing to stop dangerous radicals from using their platforms to spread hate.

According to sources, radical social media accounts are using photos of Nawar al-Awlaki, the 8-year-old daughter of cleric Anwar al-Awlaki who was killed in the U.S.-led raid in Yemen on Sunday, to recruit members. That’s just the latest in a plethora of social media strategies and campaigns created by extremists to recruit and spread their jidhadi message.

“Recruitment has many forms, and sharing the news of her death and her picture can be seen as a motivation to some to join the jihadi cause,” a spokesperson for the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) told Fox News. “MEMRI’s Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor has observed many accounts, both jihadi and non-jihadi, discussing the killing of Nawar al-Awlaki and displaying her picture.”

Companies like Twitter and Facebook have been hit with a slew of civil lawsuits the past year alleging that the companies are liable for the deaths of those killed in terror attacks by ISIS and organizations that have used social media platforms to spread their message. Among those suing are the families of the Pulse Nightclub victims, who filed a lawsuit against Twitter, Facebook and Google alleging the companies provided “material support” to ISIS and helped radicalize the shooter.

A Facebook spokesperson told Fox News that terrorist activity is not allowed on the platform.

Pence: Will Use ‘All Legal Means at Our Disposal’ To Reinstate Immigration Ban

Vice President Mike Pence said Sunday that the federal judge who halted President Trump’s temporary immigration ban “made the wrong decision” and vowed to use “all legal means at our disposal” to protect Americans.

“From the outset of his campaign and administration, the president of the United States has made it clear to put the safety of the American people first,” Pence said on “Fox News Sunday.” “We are going to win this argument.”

Trump signed an executive order on Jan. 27 that temporarily halted immigration from seven mostly Muslim nations and the United States’ Syrian refugee program. The order follows his steadfast argument that radical Islamic terrorism poses a major threat to Americans’ safety.

On Friday, a federal judge in Seattle imposed a temporary restraining order on Trump’s ban, in response to a case filed last week by Washington state and Minnesota challenging Trump’s constitutional authority to unilaterally impose such a sweeping ban.

Report: Sanctuary Cities Received $27 Billion From Feds Each Year

Sanctuary cities receive over $27 billion each year from the federal government, giving President Donald Trump significant leverage over cities such as New York and San Francisco to enforce immigration law, according to a new report.

OpenTheBooks.com identified 106 sanctuary cities in the United States in their oversight report, released Friday. In all, cities that ignore federal law by harboring illegal immigrants are receiving $27.741 billion in grants and direct payments in fiscal year 2016.

Twenty-two percent of the roughly 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States live in just 12 American cities, according to the report. Those cities, which include New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, received $15.983 billion in federal funds.

Seething Police Officer Attacks Sweden’s Immigration Policy in Rant

A SWEDISH police officer has launched a seething attack on the country’s politically correct approach to immigration as he claimed migrants were to blame for the most serious crimes.

Trump Just Delivered the Most Epic Justice to Freeloading Sanctuary Cities!

The House chairman who oversees Justice Department spending is telling so-called “ sanctuary cities” that funding for police, jails and housing will end under President Trump’s new executive orders tightening immigration control.

“ It’s real easy, their money disappears. There’s no fight, their money is gone,” said Texas Rep. John Culberson, chairman of the appropriations subcommittee that funds Justice.

Culberson last year forced the Obama administration to warn several sanctuary cities and jurisdictions about the funding cut off. In an interview for Sunday’s Full Measure With Sharyl Attkisson, he said that Trump’s new order covers all 300 of the sanctuaries.

“ They are in violation of federal law because federal law requires state and local jurisdictions can’t interfere in any way with sharing information about criminal illegal aliens in their custody; in any way means you must cooperate 100 percent of the time — 99 out of 100 of sharing information is not enough,” he told the news magazine show.

NYT Ignores Bestselling Gosnell Book to Protect Abortion Profiteers

The New York Times is leaving a bestselling book about a convicted mass-murdering abortionist off its bestsellers list to protect its friends at Planned Parenthood and in the abortion industry.

As Regnery Publishing sees it, Gosnell: The Untold Story of America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer, which sold 7,644, should appear on the NYT nonfiction list after The Magnolia Story, which sold 10,000. The movie of the book is currently in post-production, according to IMDb.

Sticking it to conservative authors is hardly a new practice by the Old Gray Lady but, understandably, it can be infuriating.

Ann McElhinney, co-author of Gosnell, is angry.

“This is shocking that the cover-up of the Gosnell story is continuing even after the mainstream media were so criticized for failing to cover the trial.”

“It’s clear that this is a blatant fake list in a fake news newspaper. It’s not only an insult to the people who have bought this book, but an insult to the readers of the New York Times who buy the newspaper and think they are getting the truth about book sales across America but instead get false facts disguised as a neutral list.”

To avoid the death penalty, Dr. Kermit Gosnell of Philadelphia accepted a life sentence in a plea bargain. He was convicted of murdering three babies born alive at his grimy abortion clinic. He was also found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the overdose death of one of his adult patients.

The Long War of the Left

The Left’s Long War is far from over, we see it now more than ever being exposed and played out not only in this nation, but on the world stage as well. With each battle they are losing ground, but they are not down and out.

Today we are witnessing the protesters hit the streets for every so called infraction of what they have been told to be a civil rights issue or infraction of their constitutional right. From hipsters to anarchists we are hearing the battle cry of revolution.

The methods and actions that they employ to further advance their cause, is militant by nature and bordering on outright civil war. What gets lost in all this noise is the truth. The truth that the powers behind their movement care less about the casualties that will occur, because after all to them the ends justify the means.

The major players and methods in the long war of the Left can be narrowed down to the media, education, advocacy groups, labor unions, financiers, and ideological groups such as the Communist Party USA. The methods used have been revision, indoctrination, falsified data, junk science, silencing opposition, intimidation, and outright propaganda.

Lost in the revision of history taught to students today, is the fact that they have been told that the Left have been the stalwarts of civil rights and advocates for freedom. We have been told over and over, that the Left have stood up for the downtrodden of society and have worked diligently to improve individual freedoms. When you actually look at the bigger picture the exact opposite emerges.

  1. ‘NYT Ignores Bestselling Gosnell Book to Protect Abortion Profiteers’

I don’t have the sales figure for various books. But I did a little experiment. I compared the number of Amazon reviews for hardcover books that are on the New York Times’ Bestseller List, to the number of Amazon reviews for the book on Gosnell, which is a hardcover too. I found two books that were on the NYT Bestseller List which came out earlier than the Gosnell book, yet had less reviews:

Gosnell: The Untold Story of America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer
    Hardcover – January 24, 2017
    Reviews: 102

Insane Clown President: Dispatches from the 2016 Circus
    January 17, 2017
    Reviews: 51

Three Days in January: Dwight Eisenhower’s Final Mission
    January 10, 2017
    Reviews: 80

If it is assumed that the number of Amazon reviews is a good proxy for number of books sold, then it is curious why the Gosnell book is not on the NYT bestseller list.

    • I don’t think your statistics is valid, because a controversial highly emotion-provoking book will always get more reviews per book sold than some usual good-read.

  2. I happen to enjoy the service and employees at my local Starbucks; they are all practicing christians, and are cheerful and remember my preferences. I will not boycott them because of the foolishness of their CEO, but if I were to start being served by Somalis, I would take my business elsewhere.

    • Boycott Chobani products. They are helping to flood the fair lands of Idaho with rapefugees. See what happened in Twin Falls, but prepare your stomach first

  3. In other news, and maybe worth keeping in check: It is snowing in the Mediterranean, in the Middle East, and in North Africa. Olive oil, fruits and vegetables are soon likely to be in short supply. Bio-Engineered Avian Flu is back, and expected to hit in the spring. In the meantime, heavy smog is degrading immunity of all those poor people living in big cities…

Bring in big freeze to kill off the “spring” and we could be headed into a perfect bio-storm.

    I sure hope I’m wrong again 🙂

      • Yes, the history of Avian Flu is a history of constant improvement of its killer capabilities through heavily vaccinated and medicated megafarms and various genetic research.

“I can’t think of another pathogenic organism that is as scary as this one,” Paul Keim, a microbial geneticist who has worked on anthrax for many years, told Science Insider. “I don’t think anthrax is scary at all compared to this.”

  5. “About 20 Church of England (CoE) schools are estimated to have a majority Muslim population, as do 15 Roman Catholic schools, latest available figures reveal.”

If the churches in England are not alarmed , they should be. The way things are going in the UK, they will be appointing muslims to be vicars at Anglican churches before long.

    • You’re kidding, right? The churches will soon become mosques.

In some ways, it almost seems England is right up there with Germany and Sweden. Sad, that so many Brits seem to have swallowed the ‘multicultural’ is best, kool-aid.

      • Most people tend to believe what they’re told by those who have obvious power and authority. The state can make you unemployed or jail you on a whim, so the state clearly has power and authority. So people tend to believe what the state tells them. The state hands them the kool-aid, and they drink it.

The Celts used to be an exception to the rule — ornery, contentious, disobedient, and defiant in the face of any and all authority. But now all that seems to be changing — two of the most intense multiculti regimes are those in Scotland and Ireland. It’ll be green kool-aid for St. Pat’s this year!

        • There may come a time when the price of accepting the state’s “truth” becomes too high. Of course, that price is not the same for everyone, and therein lies the problem of saving the West. Too many people like the taste of the Kool-Aid. I know this very well.

BTW, I find the Kool-Aid concept interesting, in that it dates the users of the expression: Jonestown, 1978. [Click on Link] Please keep in mind that today’s teenagers cannot even related to the immediacy of the events of September, 2001 … or a world without instant global connectivity. I was just listening to a talk on the problems of communication between Khrushchev and Kennedy in October, 1962.

        • Everywhere FUBAR. Even when full to the gills with drugs, alcohol and or education. It’s like natural ‘preferences’ somehow have been turned to ‘off ‘. Often frightening to observe. Gives one material for a rethink about what was going on with the Jews in the 1930s Germany and Austria. Muslims by now must be the most known of known evils on the planet today.

‘The University of Bristol’s science department was evacuated after a student accidentally concocted a deadly explosive.’

Accidentally concocted TATP? Accidentally??? Doubt it; the dangers inherent in any reaction involving oxygen-rich Hydrogen Peroxide should be well-known even in multicultural Bristol University’s chemistry lab where standing safety regulations/briefings and competent student oversight surely would be the norm?

I smell a cover-up taking place here, either to protect incompetent lecturers and/or conceal the ethno-religious identity of the ‘student’.

    • What is a punishment when someone knowingly distorts law and using it to advance his own political views while sitting in such position as a judge?
(If not knowingly distorted the law, then he is completely incompetent)

      • To my way of thinking, that judge whose position would have required him to read that executive order and to which clearly states the anti-Islamic Terrorist reasoning for putting it in place has left himself open to at the very least, charges of aiding and abetting Islamic terrorism and at the very worst, treason, if we remember that we are still in a war against terror, whatever that may be.

  7. Trump. Trump. Trump.

I wonder if anyone much really realizes that Mr. Trump could just change some things he wants to change and then resign after a couple of years leaving the presidency to Mr. Pence.

Trump doesn’t need power. Money is power. And, he’s old, so he doesn’t need to “look to his future.” Meanwhile, his family is wide open to sharp personal public criticism as long as he’s in office and he’s already left a legacy.

(Not sayin’ that’s what’s gonna happen, but it’s probably a possibility that few have thought through.)

    • For Trump I feel a little early at the moment, but you are quite right. I would not be surprised at a certain stage that would happen.

A New Zealand Prime Minister, John Key resigned last year, to set up his deputy prime minister to run his party for about 9 months before elections this year.

The Party was high in polls.
      He was high in polls.
Won 3 elections and looking to win the 4th.
      Very much a surprise politically.

Cleaned out his party of dead wood, and tapped enough others on the shoulder.

Has a successful prior life, and a multi millionaire in his own right.
Can now go back to anonymity and a saner life with his family.

      • John Key Age 55
No hint of anything further on his bucket list, Vacations in Hawaii where he owns a house.
He does like golf, and has played it with Obama during his holiday breaks.

    • Trump is in it for the long haul – he is a Patriot who likes winning – he knows he has placed his life in danger and also that of his family. It takes strong moral conviction and courage to do what he is now doing to just about the whole world and who would like nothing better to see him fall off his perch.

Reagan was the last American President with such character, but Reagan did not have the moral courage nor the right VP to do what Trump is now doing.

      • Reagan labored under internal political constraints that Trump doesn’t have. The Gipper had not been repudiated by the entire Republican Party, which had rallied to him (mostly) once he clinched the nomination. He had depended on the GOP for campaign fundraising, and was thus beholden to it, tied down by little filaments like Gulliver once he became president.

The Republican establishment repudiated Trump. It went over to the Dark Side. He owes it NOTHING, and can act as he sees fit, within the constraints imposed by his office, and by the Congress.

        • I remember the outcry when Reagan was visiting Germany in his last years as President and on one of his official visits, he attended a German WW2 military cemetery where he placed a wreath onto a well known SS officer’s grave.

Such was the pressure from within that he had to bear, and I have always wondered who it was that make Reagan do that.

Reagan was hamstrung from the very start in his presidential campaign by ‘his choice’ of VP, one G.H.W. Bush, a supposed war hero and ‘ex-CIA chief’ and who had, as pilot of a TBM Avenger bomber during WW2, bailed out of the aircraft on a mission while leaving the rest of his crew – and his responsibility – to their own devices. None of his crew survived the alleged shooting down of that aircraft, and there is some testimony from following aircraft that Bush bailed out before his aircraft had even been shot at.

But, you and I Baron would then also know of the connections that the Bush family had with Prescott Bush, G.H.Ws father, and the Nazi regime and the money that family made from trading with the enemy. After the war that financial and Banking knowledge would have given the Bush’s, especially within the political and the financial circles of the United States, much influence within the American establishment that the Bush’s began to move in.

It is indeed a cruel world when one gets to know the machinations of those who control it.

  8. FGS Countess, he’s only 70, some people only start doing their best work then.

    But that’s an interesting theory….

  9. Joyous ‘single events’ from Germany and Austria. http://www.pi-news.net/2017/02/zschopau-sachsen-15-jaehrige-begrapscht/#more-553768

I haven’t translated all the details. Many women managed to save themselves by threatening the Police and/or fighting back.

Zschopau (Sachsen): Fri evening: A 15 y.o. girl was groped by a man (1,75 -1,80m, dark skin).

Deggendorf: 3. Feb: A 35 y.o. woman’s was hand licked and her bottom groped by man speaking a foreign language: arab/oriental appearance, about 40 y.o, very messy appearance and very smelly body odour.

Lindenberg: Wednesday a 39 y.o. woman’s arm was grabbed by a man speaking w. a foreign accent. He asking if he could kiss her. 20-25, black hair.

Buchloe: A 43 y.o. woman on Thursday was asked by a passing driver about the way to Türkheim. He had opened his trousers and played with his erect member. The driver was about 25, black hair, spoke broken German.

Chemnitz: A 15 y.o. girl on Saturday was approached by a man who grabbed her hand while playing with his displayed genitals. Police soon found him: a Tunesian asylum seeker (37).

Genf: A TV team using a hidden camera showed how a woman in Genf had to run the gauntlet through harassment by several men. The line between flirtation and harassment is narrow [article implies that the men don’t understand that line.]

Nagold: A 22 y.o. Kosovo asylum-seeker is strongly suspected of attempted rape of a 22 y.o. woman on the 24th of December. He followed her (2.30am), beset her, hit her in the face and attacked her massively. She fell on the ground and he tried to pull her trousers down. He had already opened his trousers when her brother [whom she had phoned earlier when she began to feel suspicious of the man] and his friends rescued her. The attacker bit the brother and tread into one friend’s face. Police managed to arrest the suspect.

Geilenkirchen: On 27. Dec a 41 y.o. woman was followed by a young man who passed her and then exposed himself from a doorway. He had black hair and dark skin.

Wetzlar: In the evening of 23.12.2016 a 25 y.o. woman was followed by a man. He then grabbed both her arms, turned her around and rubbed himself on her. She screamed and threatened to call the Police. He let go and claimed in broken German: ‘I did nothing!’ and ran away. [Interesting: anything other than full rape counts as ‘nothing’ to this creep.]

Bad Arolsen: Gestern, 29.12.2016: A 34 y.o. man was arrested, suspected of seriously sexually assaulting a 16 y.o. girl. The event happened in October, on the train from Kassel to Bad Arolsen. He repeatedly touched her indecently and injured her while doing so. He is a 34 Syrian asylum seeker.
