President Donald Trump held a news conference today in which he took the mainstream media to task for covering his administration inaccurately, just as they did his campaign. I’ve only watched a small portion of the video so far, but it looks very entertaining, and I haven’t even come to the part where Mr. Trump takes reporters’ questions.
In other news, an unknown person or persons in the English city of Stoke-on-Trent sent text messages to Muslim voters telling them that they would go to hell (presumably the Islamic hell) if they didn’t vote Labour in the upcoming by-election.

Anyone who feels like the American Dream is dead can now cite solid evidence of its abrupt end.
It seems that eight years of life under Comrade Obama was not only difficult economically, but was fiscally difficult for most American families because his administration had done so much to restrict economic freedom — until his time, a basic tenet of American life, and essential to fostering a vibrant economy in the middle and working classes.
A new set of rankings released by the Heritage Foundation in its 2017 “Index of Economic Freedom” revealed that the United States has been on a continual decline over the past decade, and especially since the 2008 economic crisis. Slipping down to 17th among 180 countries, and losing ground yet again, the country that so often celebrates its shining liberty is considered to be only “mostly free.”
A wave of unprecedented government intervention cut deeply into both freedom and prosperity for millions upon millions of Americans; the reliance upon Federal Reserve QE programs to stimulate the economy has killed businesses, and made other reliant upon government ties to make profits (mainly at the top).

When the cost of living rises faster than paychecks do year after year, eventually that becomes a very big problem. For quite some time I have been writing about the shrinking middle class, and one of the biggest culprits is inflation. Meanwhile, our incomes have been incredibly stagnant. In fact, we just learned that median household income did not go up at all during 2016.
This is one of the reasons why we consistently see families fall out of the middle class month after month. Even if you keep the same job year after year, your standard of living is going to steadily go down unless your pay goes up.
The things that we all spend money on month after month just keep going up in price. I am talking about food, housing, medical care and other essentials. If there is one thing that we can always count on, it is the fact that things are going to cost more tomorrow than they do today.
Let’s talk about food for a moment. Whenever I go to the grocery store, I am almost always shocked. I still remember a time when I could get everything that I needed for an entire week for about 20 bucks, but these days you can’t even fill up one cart for 100 dollars.

Harward Turns Down Trump’s National Security Adviser Offer, Sources Say
President Trump’s first choice to succeed the departed Michael Flynn as national security adviser has turned the job down due to family reasons, sources close to the situation told Fox News late Thursday.
One source told Fox that retired Navy Vice Admiral Robert Harward “really wanted” to do the job, but ultimately decided that he could not.
A senior administration official said that Harward’s acceptance of the national security adviser post was contingent on the agreement of his family. The official said Harward’s wife and other family members wanted him to remain in the private sector.
Harward retired from the Navy in 2013 after a career spanning nearly 40 years.

Following President Trump’s exclamations today with regard “un-American” leaks of classified intel, it appears he has a bigger, much more serious problem on his hands. WSJ reports that US intel officials have withheld information from President Trump due to concerns it could be leaked or compromised.
The Wall Street Journal, citing unidentified current and former officials familiar with the matter, reports that officials’ decision to keep information from Mr. Trump underscores the deep mistrust that has developed between the intelligence community and the president over his team’s contacts with the Russian government, as well as the enmity he has shown toward U.S. spy agencies. On Wednesday, Mr. Trump accused the agencies of leaking information to undermine him.
In some of these cases of withheld information, officials have decided not to show Mr. Trump the sources and methods that the intelligence agencies use to collect information, the current and former officials said. Those sources and methods could include, for instance, the means that an agency uses to spy on a foreign government.
The officials emphasized they know of no instance in which crucial information about security threats or potential plotting has been omitted.

When All Else Fails, Try Lying
Everywhere you look, just now, it’s riots, protests, celebrities and Democrats asserting that President Donald Trump is mentally ill and mentally unfit to lead the country, yelling, cursing, name-calling, and, of course, violence. One tumor on the Internet remarked, “Donald Trump wants to burn the world so he can make a profit.” I’d like to know how anybody makes a profit by burning the world. But then to liberals “profit” is a dirty word.
I don’t put much stock in conspiracy theories; but to me, today’s crop of current events looks like a concerted effort, by Democrats, to create the illusion that no one in America wants Donald Trump to be president and that his election was an aberration, a thing that should not be. As another clown remarked, “Everyone in the whole world hates him!”
How does all this look like something that’s being done on purpose?
Look at all the professionally printed signs carried by the protesters. Who paid for that? And the fact that there always seems to be plenty of transportation on hand to get them on time to whatever it is they’re protesting-well, that suggests organization. And money. Can you say “George Soros”?
The organization was already in place, provided by teachers’ unions, universities, Democrat Party funds and special operations-as revealed by assorted videos released during the election campaign-left-wing advocacy groups, and other reliable sources. All they had to do was pump a little more money into it. And there’s always the nooze media, solidly in the bag for the Democrat Party, to magnify it with selected coverage.

Yahoo Warns Users of Possible Malicious Activity on Accounts
SUNNYVALE (AP) — Yahoo is warning users of potentially malicious activity on their accounts between 2015 and 2016, the latest development in the internet company’s investigation of a mega-breach that exposed 1 billion users’ data several years ago.
Yahoo confirmed Wednesday that it was notifying users that their accounts had potentially been compromised but declined to say how many people were affected.
In a statement, Yahoo tied some of the potential compromises to what it has described as the “state-sponsored actor” responsible for the theft of private data from more than 1 billion user accounts in 2013 and 2014. The stolen data included email addresses, birth dates and answers to security questions.

Dutch Will Count Votes on Offline PCs to Prevent Hacking
Dutch municipalities will be allowed to use computers to count the votes cast in the 15 March elections, but only if those are not connected to the Internet, the Dutch government said on Wednesday (15 February).
Officials were also banned from using USB-sticks or other devices to bring the results from municipalities to the headquarters of the 20 electoral districts, Dutch interior minister Ronald Plasterk wrote in a letter to the Dutch parliament dated Wednesday.

Eurostar Implements Facial Recognition for Paris Passengers
Eurostar has installed electronic passport gates with facial recognition technology for passengers travelling from Paris a year after the same technology was introduced at the London end.
“If you’re travelling from Paris today, try our brand new e-gates,” the company tweeted Wednesday.
Passengers with biometric passports scan the document at a first gate and then proceed to a second gate where a camera compares their features with their passport picture before allowing them through to the departure lounge.

Le Pen on Course to Become French President, A.I. Data Analysis Predicts
Marine Le Pen is on course to be the next president of France, according to one fund manager’s big-data analysis.
Arun Kant, chief executive and chief investment officer at Singapore-based investing firm Leonie Hill Capital, told CNBC he expected the right-wing populist to prevail thanks to his firm’s proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) system’s analysis of troves of data.
His analysis — which he said incorporates inputs such as social and traditional media discussions, polling, economics and demographics — predicts that Le Pen will “walk over” her opponents in the first electoral test and then prove most forecasters wrong and steal the lead in the second ballot, Kant said.

Paris on Fire: Riots Reach Capital’s Centre — Buildings Set Ablaze and Police Attacked
WIDESPREAD suburban rioting spilled into central Paris last night as hundreds went on the rampage over the alleged rape of a young black man by French police.
Officers were forced to unleash tear-gas on angry crowds as buildings and rubbish bins were set on fire around the Barbes Metro station, which is just around the corner from the Eurostar hub at Gare du Nord.
As fire crews went in to extinguish the blazes, lines of riot police were attacked, and shops were looted.

Paris Riots Mapped: 20 No-Go Zones Located as Violence Spreads
THE Paris riots are now spreading across France as vigilantes stage running battles with police which have turned parts of the country into no go zones.
And law enforcement say two weeks of civil unrest has now led to frenzied clashes in 20 districts with millions of pounds worth of damage in Paris alone.
Worryingly about 60 per cent of those involved in the street fights are children, police say.
As well as serious crime in at least 16 northern Paris suburbs, the confrontations have spread to Nantes in Brittany, Lille — the capital of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, and Rouen in Normandy where catholic priest Father Jacques Hamel was murdered while he was saying mass the altar last summer.

‘Self Righteous’ EU Blasted by Hungarian PM
Viktor Orbán, who stood against the EU in 2016 and allowed his country to vote on mandatory migrant quotas set in Brussels, has again fired a warning shot at Brussels.
The Hungarian leader addressed the nation on Friday, when he said history “took a sharp turn” in 2016.
Citizens of EU member states, according to Orbán, have been “silenced by political correctness”.
Brexit, the Hungarian referendum and the “ousting” of the Italian government all came about after voters “whose voices had not been heard” got the chance to stick it to Brussels, he said.
Slamming the union, he said people are tired of “being force-fed” utopian ideals.

Spanish Parliament to Investigate Operation Aimed at Smearing Pro-Independence Process
Madrid (CNA).- The so-called ‘Operation Catalonia’, which aimed at smearing pro-independence politicians during the last Conservative People’s Party (PP) term of office, will be investigated in the Spanish Parliament. Four months after left wing pro-independence ERC, former liberal ‘Convergència’, now renamed asthe Catalan European Democratic Party PDeCAT and the Spanish Socialist Party requested it, a Committee will be created in the Spanish Chamber in order to determine responsibility. Former Spanish Minister for Home Office, Jorge Fernández Díaz, will be one of the main figures to appear before the committee, since he was recorded while plotting to discredit Catalonia’s main pro-independence parties, together with former Director of Catalonia’s Anti-fraud Office, Daniel De Alfonso. Last July, a 500-page-long police report published by newspaper ‘El Periodico’ proved the existence of ‘Operation Catalonia’ and that Inspector José Villarejo had amongst his main competences to discredit the whole pro-independence process.

Swedish Court Hands Life Sentence to Syrian for War Crimes
A 46-year-old Syrian man has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Swedish court for violating international humanitarian law through his participation in the execution-style murder of seven men in Idlib, Syria in 2012.
Haisam Sakhanh, a Syrian with a Swedish residency permit, was arrested in Örebro in March 2016 over suspicions that he had shot a person with an assault rifle during the execution carried out by Islamist armed group the Suleiman Company (Firqat Suleiman el-Muqatila).
During interrogation he confirmed that he was involved in the shooting, but denied breaching international law.

Tony Blair Calls for People to ‘Rise Up’ Against Brexit
Tony Blair is to announce his “mission” to persuade Britons’ to “rise up” and change their minds on Brexit.
The former prime minister will say in a speech later that people voted in the referendum “without knowledge of the true terms of Brexit”.
He will say he wants to “build support for finding a way out from the present rush over the cliff’s edge”.
But former Cabinet minister Iain Duncan Smith said Mr Blair’s comments were arrogant and utterly undemocratic.

Turkish Imam Spy Affair in Germany Extends Across Europe
A German investigation into Turkish religious officials collecting information on its enemies may be the tip of the iceberg. DW has obtained several documents revealing Turkish activities in Germany and European states.
German police on Wednesday raided the homes of four imams alleged to have spied on the opposition for the Turkish government. The police action is part of an investigation into what documents obtained by DW show to be a broader Turkish effort to collect information across Europe on supporters of the religious movement Ankara blames for last July’s failed coup attempt.
The raids targeted the homes of four Turkish imams affiliated with the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB), Germany’s largest Islamic umbrella group with over 900 mosques tied to the Turkish government’s Directorate of Religion, or Diyanet.

UK: Islamic Center Proposed in Portsmouth
PORTSMOUTH — The Islamic Society of the Seacoast Area, which is now located in Dover, is seeking a variance and special exception to build a 4,000-square-foot “place of assembly” off Maplewood Avenue.
The property at 686 Maplewood Ave. is owned by Rye Realtor Chris McInnis, who has tried unsuccessfully several times to redevelop the property.
The variance and special exemption are needed to build “a religious place of assembly in a single residence B zone on a lot with 50 feet of frontage where 100 feet is needed,” according to paperwork filed in City Hall in advance of the Feb. 21 Board of Adjustment meeting.
Attorney Bernie Pelech states the Islamic Society of the Seacoast Area wants to build its place of assembly on what is now a vacant lot next to 678 Maplewood Ave.

MUSLIMS in Stoke are being told to vote Labour in Thursday’s by-election or face going to hell.
A text message, which also brands Ukip racist, is circulating around the town, with an unknown number of people instructed to vote in the controversial Labour candidate Gareth Snell.
Using references to Allah, the divisive political and religiously motivated messages say: “Will you be able to answer for this in the Grave and on the Final Day??? ‘I helped the Enemies of Islam because…’“

UK: Stoke-on-Trent: Text Messages Warn ‘Vote Labour or Go to Hell’
Labour have been accused of a campaign of intimidation in Stoke after members of the public received text messages warning them they could go to hell.
Several Stoke-on-Trent residents received messages urging them not to vote for “Anti Islamic” UKIP in the upcoming by-election.
In a string of anonymous messages over the past week, recipients were asked whether they would be able to “answer for” failing to elect Labour candidate Gaeth Snell “in the Grave and on the Final Day.”
The by-election was triggered last month when former Labour MP Tristram Hunt resigned his seat to take up a position at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
Now the Liberal Democrats have taken the matter to police and called on Labour to end the “scandal.”
Labour deny they knew about the messages, adding that they did not condone the content.
In two letters seen by ITV News, the Lib Dems told Labour of their concern the messages were exerting “undue spiritual influence” on the election — scheduled for next week.

Muslim voters in Stoke are being warned they will go to hell unless they vote Labour at the upcoming by-election.
The text message was sent to members of the seven percent Muslim community in Stoke Central and demanded that they vote for Labour’s Gareth Snell, in a bid to stop Ukip from winning.
The controversial text, which has been circulated via WhatsApp by Labour activist Navid Hussain, even states that voting for the Liberal Democrats’ Muslim candidate, Dr Zulfiqar Ali, will result in the ‘anti-Islamic Ukip’.

WikiLeaks Releases Documents on Alleged CIA Spying on French Presidential Candidates
Anti-secrecy organization WikiLeaks released a set of documents allegedly showing CIA espionage on candidates in France’s 2012 presidential elections.
The seven pages of documents appear to be classified orders for intelligence operatives to gather information regarding candidates’ political strategies and internal communications. WikiLeaks’ release of the documents comes amid growing tensions between Trump and the intelligence community over leaks of classified information that have portrayed people close to Trump in a negative light.
“All major French political parties were targeted for infiltration by the CIA’s human (“HUMINT”) and electronic (“SIGINT”) spies in the seven months leading up to France’s 2012 presidential election,” a press release from WikiLeaks states.

ISIS Bombings Kill Dozens in Iraq and Pakistan
The Islamic State terror network claimed responsibility for two bombings that each killed dozens of people Thursday — one at a shrine in Pakistan and one at an auto dealership in Iraq.
The suicide bomber at the world-famous shrine in southern Pakistan killed at least 75 people and wounding more than 200 others, according to health officials. They said the dead included 20 women and nine children.
Also Thursday, a car bomb exploded in Baghdad’s southwestern al-Bayaa neighborhood shortly before sunset, killing at least 55 people and wounding more than 60 others, according to Iraq’s Interior Ministry. It was the third blast to hit the Iraqi capital in three days, the BBC reported.

Kurds’ Move to Keep Yazidi, Christian Refugees From Their Homes is Hurting Anti-ISIS Alliance
Iraq’s long-persecuted Yazidi and Assyrian Christian minorities are blasting claims by the country’s Kurdish Regional Government that its refusal to let them return home aims only to protect them. Eight people are dead after a knife attack in China’s restive Xinjiang region.
Three assailants killed five people and injured 10 others before they were shot dead by police on Tuesday in Pishan county, local officials said.

South African Mother Found Naked With Her Eyes Gouged Out After Being Stabbed 21 Times
A South African woman who was ambushed in her own home was stabbed 21 times before having her eyes gouged out before her naked body was discovered by her son who arrived home from school.
Tanya Wiers, 44, was discovered by her son Rolf lying in her daughter’s bedroom after suffering the gruesome attack.
The brutal slaying has been described by police as the worst they have ever witnessed.
The mother-of-three was attacked at her home in Polokwane, about 150 miles north of Pretoria.
Police arrested 25-year-old suspect Frans Maela in connection with the killing.

Berlin Migrant Centre in Lockdown as Police Rush to Knife Fight
POLICE put a migrant centre in Berlin in lockdown over reports of a knife fight between two brothers.
One man was lift with knife injuries and barricaded himself in a room before threatening to kill himself.
The incident took place in a refugee centre in Treskow, which accomodates around 500 people.
Police were caled at around 10am local time today.
A 20-year-old resident had an argument several others before pulling out a knife and stabbing his 21-year-old brother, German media said.

Migrant Boys Kidnap Top Italian Official During Puglia Centre Visit
MIGRANT boys kidnapped Italy’s children’s commissioner and threatened to cut a refugee centre manager’s throat.
Filomena Albano and her team, including judges, were locked inside the migrant centre for 30 unaccompanied minors, mainly from Gambia, Nigeria and Egypt, in Cassano delle Murge, Puglia, Italy, for more than an hour yesterday.
A group of 12 boys threatened the delegation by saying they would cut the facility manager’s throat as they demanded “answers” during the planned visit in which the team were reviewing the condition of the centre.
They blocked the officials’ cars in by surrounding them and lying on the floor while other put chairs and benches in front of the exit gate to stop them leaving.

Number of British-Born Workers Falls as Non-UK Employees Increase by Almost 450,000 in a Year
Nearly 450,000 more migrants are working in the UK while the number of British-born people in work has fallen by 120,000, according to new figures.
The Office for National Statistics disclosed that the number of migrants working in Britain has increased by 431,000 to 5.4million over the past year.
Over the same period the number of British people in work has fallen to 26.37million.

Study: Savings in Welfare Costs Could Pay for Trump’s Wall
On paper, the study entitled “The Cost of a Border Wall vs. the Cost of Illegal Immigration,” published by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), seems to make sense:
If a [southern] border wall stopped a small fraction of the illegal immigrants who are expected to come in the next decade, the fiscal savings from having fewer illegal immigrants in the country would be sufficient to cover the costs of the wall.
There are many assumptions built into Camarota’s analysis, but the big one not mentioned is this: Although those alleged savings would reduce the tax burden on citizens living close to the border, why should they (once relieved of some part of that burden) be forced to turn around and use those savings to pay for the wall?
Camarota’s analysis, however, is useful in many ways, including learning just how much illegal immigration is costing American taxpayers every year. He uses calculations from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to determine that each illegal border crosser creates “an average financial burden [on American taxpayers] of approximately $74,722 during their lifetimes, excluding any costs for their U.S.-born children. If a border wall stopped between 160,000 and 200,000 illegal crossers (9 to 12 percent of those expected to successfully cross in the next decade), the fiscal savings would equal the $12 to $15 billion cost of the wall.” (Note: Because of the method by which the financial burden is figured, the lifetime fiscal cost of each illegal is likely much higher, as CIS stated.)

Trudeau’s Mixed Message on Immigration
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is sending mixed messages when it comes to Canada’s immigration and refugee laws.

The Church of England’s crucial vote on gay marriage has been thrown into doubt after the Bishop of Coventry admitted he accidentally voted against the report and several others may have made the same mistake.
The Right Reverend Dr Christopher Cocksworth apologised for the mistake last night, which he said was because of “a moment of distraction and some confusion over the voting process”.
The bishop insisted that he did in fact support the report written by his colleagues and was “embarrassed” to have accidentally rejected it.

Economist Blasts Paris Treaty $100T Price Tag: ‘Not a Good Deal’
$100 trillion for a 0.3 degree temperature drop.
That’s a price tag that sounds acceptable to liberals, but not to everyone. An economist and environmentalist who says man-made climate change is real still argues that is “an incredibly expensive way to do almost no good.”
Self-proclaimed “skeptical environmentalist and” president of the Copenhagen Consensus Center Bjorn Lomborg appeared on FBN’s Varney & Company on Feb. 14, to discuss The Paris Agreement. He advised the new president to drop the agreement and focus on other solutions. He also criticized the expense of the deal, for what it would supposedly do to temperatures.
“If everyone does all they promised and do it all the way through the century, we’ll reduce temperatures by end of the century by 0.3 degrees Fahrenheit,” Lomborg said. “Yet the costs will be somewhere between $1 trillion and $2 trillion a year. Paying $100 trillion for no good is not a good deal.”

Regarding kidnapping and death threats in Puglia, Italy, I read, regarding the poor refugee/”refugee” children/”children”, that:
“They faced a terrible journey to get to Italy and they imagined their future in a different way, not a long wait for who knows what.” (Filameno Albano, Italy’s Children’s Commissioner, who was among those kidnapped.)
I read nowhere of arrests or impending charges of kidnap and threatening death. I must have missed this part.
Or are we (whether or not we like the nature of our political and economic union, we are Europeans) devoid of all backbone, all desire and ability to stand up to this [effluvium]?
Sadly, I think it’s the latter. The politicians and other so-called leaders have already proved repeatedly that they won’t protect people. Not even themselves, apparently! It’s up to the people to protect themselves.
Elect new leaders, develop them from scratch if they have to, and take their safety into their own hands any way they can in the meantime.
Send your kids to private schools as far from migrants as you can if possible.
Protest zoning meeting or the passage of permits to build new mosques or refugee centers.
Withdraw support for organizations or churches that provide services or advocate for migrants.
Learn self-defense.
Whatever you can do.

Islam’s preoccupation with sex and money leave it with no room for moral maturation. It’s no wonder Islam’s adherents are morally stunted and brutally sadistic towards outsiders – including other Muslim groups – whilst maintaining their signature ignorant naivety.
