At Every Opportunity, A Pound of Flesh: “Turning Whole U.S. Into a Debt Prison”

This article was written by Shaun Bradley and originally published at The Anti-Media.org.

Editor’s Comment: The system is invested in plundering its people. Most of them are suckers, ready to shell out. The rest can be tracked down, harassed with papers and debts, obligations and penalties. Above all is still taxes, and the U.S. government is interested in keeping everyone, even ex-pats, under their thumb as part of the herd of cash cows.

Perhaps the most revealing line in this story is: “If you default, your financial life is ruined. You have to deal in cash for the rest of your life.” They hold all the cards, and the little people must jump through all the hoops to even qualify for participation in the system.

Here’s How the Government Is Turning the Entire United States into a Debt Prison

by Shaun Bradley

Since the United States was founded, citizenship has represented a safe haven from oppressive regimes around the world. By preserving the principles of small government and free markets, those who were willing to work hard found success, and America became a magnet for innovation. But as the U.S. continues to erode personal and economic freedom, more people than ever before are handing over their U.S. passports to seek better opportunities abroad.

The staggering amount of debt held by the American empire ensures the public will be working it off for generations to come. The government has already begun its campaign to make it more difficult to leave the country, and it has also begun to crack down on the finances of the eight million Americans living abroad. Regardless of whether you’re a millionaire with multiple foreign bank accounts or a recent college graduate with a boatload of debt, the status of being a United States citizen brings with it a burden that will only grow heavier over time.

Since 2008, the number of individuals giving up their citizenship has increased by almost 560%, setting new records each of the past three years. Some of these expats are motivated by the extra tax load paid when working abroad while others are trying to avoid student loan debt. Others have just had enough of the encroaching police state.

Every taxpayer left in the country now owes more than $149,000 of the national debt, so it’s no surprise the tide is beginning to turn. By hook or by crook, in the coming years, citizens will be fleeced of that money through higher taxes, savings that are inflated away, and an overall drop in their standard of living. Many can see the writing on the wall and have become determined to protect themselves from the years of economic repression coming down the pipe.

Eurostat: Greece is Still the Unemployment ‘Champ’ Of the European Union

Eurostat, the EU statistics authority, reports that the euro area (EA19) seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 10.1 percent in August 2016, stable compared to July 2016 and down from 10.7 percent in August 2015. This remains the lowest rate recorded in the euro area since July 2011. The EU28 unemployment rate was 8.6 percent in August 2016, stable compared to July 2016 and down from 9.3 percent in August 2015. This remains the lowest rate recorded in the EU28 since March 2009.

Greece remains the “champ” of joblessness with the highest unemployment rates in the EU. In June 2016, the Greek unemployment rate was at 23.4 percent, ahead of Spain (19.5 percent). In Cyprus, the unemployment rate fell from 14.7 percent to 12.1 percent. The member states with the lowest unemployment rates in August 2016 were recorded in the Czech Republic (3.9 percent) and Germany (4.2 percent).

Germany Faces Another Banking Collapse; Orders Citizens to “Prepare for National Emergency”

Editor’s Comment: While it is admirable that the government in Germany has seen fit to give its population advanced notice of what is coming, the fact of the matter is that something very big is happening. This news is only building upon the enormous and very serious problems that Deutsche Bank has been having during the last few months. It holds grave weight in the economic perils that the global banking sector faces, but it is also bigger than that.

The social chaos, the turmoil and the uncertainty about stability in the future is driving anxieties worldwide… how much more pressure can the system take before everything gives way? This is going to happen everywhere, even as certain individual nations or corporations make headlines. Are you prepared for what happens in the aftermath?

Another Nail in Germany’s Economic Coffin: Commerzbank Cuts Out Jobs and Shareholders’ Profits

by Daisy Luther

Hot on the heels of the Deutsche Bank debacle comes the next nail in Germany’s economic coffin.

Germany’s second largest bank, Commerzbank is planning to cut almost 10,000 jobs over and will stop paying dividends to shareholders. These actions will take place over the next 4 years.

When the news broke about Deutsche Bank collapsing, the German government said it will not assist the ailing bank — however, some have reported that the situation appears so dire that they may have softened.

[Comment: Translation: Banksters are going to massively loot German citizens.]

This is How Much Liquidity Deutsche Bank Has at This Moment, And What Happens Next

Deutsche Bank stands at the center of the European financial system

It is not solvency, or the lack of capital — a vague, synthetic, and usually quite arbitrary concept, determined by regulators — that kills a bank; it is — – as Dick Fuld will tell anyone who bothers to listen — the loss of (access to) liquidity: cold, hard, fungible (something Jon Corzine knew all too well when he commingled and was caught) cash, that pushes a bank into its grave, usually quite rapidly: recall that it took Lehman just a few days for its stock to plunge from the high double digits to zero.

It is also liquidity, or rather concerns about it, that sent Deutsche Bank stock crashing to new all time lows earlier today: after all, the investing world already knew for nearly two weeks that its capitalization is insufficient. As we reported earlier this week, it was a report by Citigroup, among many other, that found how badly undercapitalized the German lender is, noting that DB’s “leverage ratio, at 3.4%, looks even worse relative to the 4.5% company target by 2018” and calculated that while he only models ‚¬2.9bn in litigation charges over 2H16-2017 — far less than the $14 billion settlement figure proposed by the DOJ — and includes a successful disposal of a 70% stake in Postbank at end-2017 for 0.4x book he still only reaches a CET 1 ratio of 11.6% by end-2018, meaning the bank would have a Tier 1 capital €3bn shortfall to the company target of 12.5%, and a leverage ratio of 3.9%, resulting in an €8bn shortfall to the target of 4.5%.

When Citi’s note exposing DB’s undercapitalization came out, it had precisely zero impact on the price of DB stock. Why? Because as we said above, capitalization — and solvency — tends to be a largely worthless, pro-forma concept. However, when Bloomberg reported today that select funds have withdrawn “some excess cash and positions held at the lender” the stock immediately plunged: the reason is that this had everything to do with not only DB’s suddenly crashing liquidity, but the pernicious feedback loop, where once a source of liquidity leaves, the departure tends to spook other such sources, leading to an outward bound liquidity cascade. Again: just ask Lehman (and AIG) for the details.

Which then brings us to the $64 trillion (roughly the same amount as DB’s gross notional derivative exposure) question: since DB is suddenly experiencing a sharp “liquidity event”, how much liquidity does Deutsche Bank have access to as of this moment, to offset this event?

California Suspends ‘Business Relationships’ With Wells Fargo

California, the nation’s largest issuer of municipal bonds, is barring Wells Fargo & Co. from underwriting state debt and handling its banking transactions after the company admitted to opening potentially millions of bogus customer accounts.

The suspension, in effect immediately, will remain in place for 12 months, State Treasurer John Chiang said Wednesday. “Complete and permanent severance” between his office and the bank will occur if it doesn’t change its practices, he said. The treasurer is also suspending his office’s investment in Wells Fargo securities.

“Wells Fargo’s fleecing of its customers by opening fraudulent accounts for the purpose of extracting millions in illegal fees demonstrates, at best, a reckless lack of institutional control and, at worst, a culture which actively promotes wanton greed,” the treasurer said in a statement.

Democrats Object to Chick-fil-A Voter Registration Drive

A controversy is clucking in Pinellas County over chicken sandwiches, sweet tea and voter registration cards.

The Stonewall Democrats of Pinellas County are crying foul over Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark’s decision to hold voter registration drives at nine Chick-fil-A locations. Chick-fil-A, the fast-food chain known for putting faith ahead of profits, supports conservative causes.

Susan McGrath, leader of the Stonewall Democrats and head of the Pinellas Democratic Party, said the decision to use Chick-fil-A would be similar to a Democratic supervisor of elections holding the event at Planned Parenthood.

McGrath said the group supports the effort to register more voters, But she called the move partisan to hold the event at Chick-fil-A and said it might be more transparent to hold the voter drives at the Republican Party headquarters.

“While some Democrats may occasionally dine at Chick-fil-A (and perhaps even members of the LGBT community), the coordination of Pinellas voter registration activities with this right-leaning business very clearly conveys that your office is targeting Republican-leaning voters,” McGrath wrote to Clark.

Jason Latimer, Clark’s spokesman, said the office will hold 350 voter drives this year. He declined to comment on McGrath’s allegations, but he did say the restaurants draw lots of consumers…

ETSU Student Charged Following Gorilla Mask Incident at Black Lives Matter Protest

An East Tennessee State University student was charged by police after he disrupted a Black Lives Matter event on campus by wearing a gorilla mask, carrying around a rope and trying to hand out bananas.

A Johnson City Police Department report said Tristan Rettke is charged with one count of civil rights intimidation in connection with the event that took place at Borchuck Plaza.

Eyewitnesses including the East Tennessean, the university’s newspaper, took digital photos and filmed video of Rettke’s actions, which including him walking up to protestors with a burlap sack that had a marijuana leaf and a Confederate flag printed on it…

Hacked Emergency Message Foreshadowed Devastating NJ Train Crash: “Would You? Could You? On a Train?”

At least one hunred people were injured, and witnesses saw one of the most dramatic and unsettling accidental events in some time.

“The next thing I know, I’m on the floor. We are plowing through something … and when the train came to a stop, I could see the parts of the roof on the first car and some of the debris next to me,” Shah said. (source)

But it is the hacked message that happened hours before that makes this event truly creepy.

Without any particular explanation, an emergency broadcast warning went out over WKTV 2 in Utica, NY that read:

“Civil Authorities have issues a Hazardous Materials Warning for The United States. Effective until September 29, 02:16AM EDT. Would you. Could you. On a Train? Wait for further instructions.”

Video of this bizarre message was recorded and posted to YouTube:

The station quickly followed up correcting the record, stating that there is no emergency, blaming the message on FEMA test codes that were supposedly meant for testing the system internally, and not intended for public broadcast.:

Screen capture from Facebook page for WKTV News, Utica NY

But, of course, that explanation does nothing to account for the words:

“Would you. Could you. On a Train? Wait for further instructions.”

In light of the train crash, this meaning could strongly indicate foul play and prior knowledge. Whoever hacked the station message or “internal codes” may have been communicating with one or more conspirators who are awaiting ‘instructions.’

Hillary Caught on Video “Using Hand Signals to Communicate With Moderator Lester Holt”

Hillary Clinton used hand signals to communicate with moderator Lester Holt during the first US presidential debate, a four time world champion poker player has stated.

A video recently uploaded to Youtube depicts the former secretary of state scratching her face several times during the 90-minute debate — signals to Holt, the video’s editor claims, which “meant Clinton wanted to get a ‘zinger’ in and to go to her without changing the subject.”

“Hillary Clinton used this gesture to signal Holt on six different occasions,” the video asserts.

Lester Holt’s Plan to Rig Presidential Debate for Hillary — Leaked

Many predicted NBC moderator Lester Holt — whose history interviewing Clinton proves his political leanings — would pull a Candy Crowley* by fact-checking Donald Trump, while letting Hillary Clinton say whatever she liked without interruption.

Despite Hillary Clinton being evaluated by a majority of the American public as “dishonest,” and being investigated by the FBI whose director said Clinton was careless with national security, this proved not only to be completely predictable, but it happened four times.

“Last night’s first Presidential Debate of the 2016 election cycle between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump was 100% rigged to sabotage the Republican Presidential nominee. We can say that with definitive certainty. How? Well, we told you exactly what was going to go down at the debate 28 days ago, step by step. Almost tactic by tactic,” said officials at fact-checker True Pundit.

True Pundit, on August 30, published Confessions of a Former Hillary Clinton Campaign Operative, which unveiled the mainstream news media’s script for the debate strategy to minimize Trump via debate moderator.

“The fix was in weeks ago. We were the only media in the country to pinpoint how Monday’s debate would be heavily manipulated in Clinton’s favor at the expense of Trump,” True Pundit said today.

Obama’s Reckless Plan Threatens U.S. Oversight of Internet

The Obama administration is poised to surrender control of certain Internet functions to non-profit ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, on October 1. According to Americans for Limited Government’s senior editor Robert Romano, opposition to this Internet giveaway has united Republicans such as Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and presidential candidate Donald Trump. But questions remain as to whether or not the Republicans will unite sufficiently to insist language is included in a continuing resolution that will forbid the transfer of control.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) actually stripped out this language from the continuing resolution, and a vote to end debate on the current language, which does not fix the ICANN issue, failed on September 27. This is the latest Obama administration scandal, one that threatens the integrity of the Internet. President Obama is seeking to cedeoversight of Internet protocols to a multinational body, effectively ending unilateral American control over these functions.

Romano writes that this is the “Last chance to save the free and open Internet.”

A group of prominent national security professionals have sent a letter to Defense Secretary Ashton Carter and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford Jr. in opposition to the transfer. “Of…immediate concern to us…is the prospect that the United States might be transferring to future adversaries a capability that could facilitate, particularly in time of conflict, cyberwarfare against us,” they write. “In the absence of [the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s] stewardship, we would be unable to be certain about the legitimacy of all IP addresses or whether they have been, in some form or fashion, manipulated, or compromised.”

The transition could affect the status of Internet domain names, including .mil and .gov. “The Administration has failed to ensure U.S. ownership and control of .MIL and .GOV in perpetuity,” wrote a coalition of citizens and non-profits this August. “Both are vital national assets.” They argue that the Department of Commerce is doing “precisely” what Congress “forbade.”

Police Shoot 6-Year-Old Autistic Boy Dead, But He’s White So No One Cares

There weren’t any protests over this.

Police officers shot and killed a 6-year-old autistic boy during an incident in Louisiana, but the boy was white, wasn’t holding a gun and didn’t have a long criminal record, so don’t expect any protests or national media attention.

Video footage of last November’s fatal shooting of Jeremy Mardis by two deputy city marshals (pictured below) was shown in court on Wednesday.

Police claim they chased the boy’s father Christopher Few after he had an argument with his girlfriend and that Few used his vehicle as a weapon, prompting them to open fire.

“However, state District Court Judge William Bennett said the video doesn’t show Few using his car as a “deadly weapon” at the time of the shooting,” reports CBS News.

The clip posted above appears to back this up. The officer seems to be shooting at a stationary car while Few is clearly seen with his hands up.

Mardis, who had autism, died at the scene after suffering multiple gunshot wounds while his father survived. Police claimed they were chasing Few because of an outstanding warrant, although it was later confirmed that there were no outstanding warrants against him.

Psych Eval Ordered for High School Senior Over Pro-Gun Project

Administrators stumble over year-old project that was teacher-approved

Officials at a New Jersey high school ordered a senior student to undergo a psychiatric evaluation over a project concerning gun rights which had been approved one year prior.

Administrators reprimanded Manville High School student Frank Harvey after they found the project on a USB flash drive he left behind in one of the school computers.

“I’ve never been a violent person,” Harvey told News 12 New Jersey. “I’ve never had detention in my life.”

Harvey says the video project — which featured pro-gun statistics, instances in which guns had successfully been used in self defense and political cartoons depicting gun free zones in a negative light — was approved by a teacher, who even awarded him an “A.”

Check out slides from the student’s project:…

“It was assigned by the teacher, and I got the topic, which was anti-gun control, approved by the teacher,” Harvey stated.

After police questioning, Harvey was cleared.

The teacher, however, told Harvey’s family she couldn’t recall assigning the project, and school officials ordered the student to undergo a five-hour psychological exam before being allowed back to school.

Harvey’s parents told News 12 New Jersey they have no intention of taking him to a shrink.

“I’m not taking him for a psychological evaluation because this teacher is lying and won’t own up to what she did,” Harvey’s mother Mary Vervan asserted.

Transportation Experts ‘Baffled’ At Cause of Train Crash

‘We know what happened, we don’t know why it happened’

(WCBS) Federal investigators are trying to figure out the cause of the train crash at the Hoboken station, killing one person, injuring over 100 others and causing serious damage to the terminal Thursday.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said the NJ TRANSIT train from Spring Valley, New York was traveling at a high rate of speed when the train carrying 250 passengers crashed through all of the barriers, slamming into the interior wall of the Hoboken Terminal around 8:45 a.m. Thursday.

“The train came in at much too high rate of speed, and the question is: ‘Why is that?”‘ Christie said.

Was the Fix in on FBI Investigation of Hillary Clinton’s Emails?

The more that details about the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email practices come to light, the more their efforts appear to have been a sham designed to exonerate her of wrongdoing from the very beginning. As we wrote, the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) failure to indict Hillary, based on the recommendation of FBI Director James Comey, has moved the United States closer to banana republic status.

The Clinton family’s ongoing corruption and Hillary Clinton’s pay-to-play as secretary of state have also created a precedent which could encourage other politicians to enrich themselves at the expense of the integrity of their office. The FBI’s light touch also has created a double standard on national security, where high-profile figures such as Mrs. Clinton walk free while others lose their security clearance or are fined or jailed.

Yet some on the left are unhappy with Comey’s investigation because of the comments he made publicly characterizing Mrs. Clinton as “extremely careless” with classified information. “What Comey should have done…was handle the Clinton probe like any other routine inquiry: provide confidential recommendations to prosecutors, release a strictly factual statement noting that the investigation would be closed, and resist external pressures to inappropriately air the FBI’s findings outside a court of law,” argues Riley Roberts, former speechwriter for former Attorney General Eric Holder, in Politico Magazine.

In theory, Germany operates an open border policy but with the problems of terrorist incursions and a change in public opinion concerning the free entry of foreign nationals, border authorities are becoming more rigorous in making spot checks especially of cars carrying obviously alien passengers.

Caroline Glick: The New Middle East

A new Syria is emerging. And with it, a new Middle East and world are presenting themselves. Our new world is not a peaceful or stable one. It is a harsh place.

The new Syria is being born in the rubble of Aleppo.

The eastern side of the city, which has been under the control of US-supported rebel groups since 2012, is being bombed into the Stone Age by Russian and Syrian aircraft. All avenues of escape have been blocked. A UN aid convoy was bombed in violation of a fantasy cease-fire. Medical facilities and personnel are being targeted by Russia and Syrian missiles and barrel bombs to make survival impossible.

It is hard to assess how long the siege of eastern Aleppo by Russia, its Iranian and Hezbollah partners and its Syrian regime puppet will last. But what is an all but foregone conclusion now is that eastern Aleppo will fall. And with its fall, the Russian-Iranian-Hezbollah-Assad axis will consolidate its control over all of western Syria.

Are Gut Microbes Responsible for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

Scientists have found what may be part of the mystery of chronic fatigue syndrome-and it lies in the gut.

Chronic fatigue syndrome, or myalgic encephalomyeletis as it is known in some parts of the world, has long baffled healthcare professionals. With its vague symptoms and its sufferers struggling with extreme fatigue, some doctors have dismissed it as being a psychological ailment.

However, new research, published in the journal Microbiome, has found that the key to chronic fatigue syndrome may actually be in the gut and not the sufferer’s head at all.

The researchers at Cornell University have found that those with chronic fatigue syndrome have biological markers for the disease in their gut bacteria. They can also see whether or not they have CFS/ME in their blood samples, as it has been confirmed that those with the syndrome carry an inflammatory microbial agent in their blood.

After discovering these two factors, the team was able to correctly diagnose 83% of patients who participated in the study with CFS/ME using stool and blood samples.

Researchers found that there were fewer bacteria species that were anti-inflammatory in the stools of people with CFS/ME, which is also similar to that found in people with Crohn’s or ulcerative colitis. Researchers believe that the anti-inflammatory markers within the blood are results of the a leaky gut that is allowing bacteria to enter the blood.

  1. About that Iranian husband Down Under, I suppose it doesn’t have anything to do with islam?………I thought so, what a relief.

  2. Regarding the murder of the Iranian woman, the question should be: What would Muhammad do? The answer would be “exactly what the husband did”. Muhammad would have killed her and Allah would have been pleased.

    • What would looney Mo do? Kill off or enslave the lot of us. It’s right there in the Koran. We had better come out of denial soon. I don’t think a Muslim pilot or a Muslim with access to nuke could resist the temptation of the perfect ram. I hope enough nukes are ready to go on Iron and Pukistan. We would’ve as a mad as a Muslim not to. Hilary makes Trump the sane choice with every passing day imho. Gotta go.
