I wrote a couple of weeks ago about the Saudi attempts to intimidate Canadian broadcasters using covert legal threats. At issue is a paid commercial by the “Ethical Oil” campaign which highlights the oppression of women in Saudi Arabia. The campaign proposes to use Canada’s oil sands as an ethical alternative to oil produced by brutal Middle Eastern dictatorships.
Ezra Levant’s vigorous exposure of Saudi machinations seems to have struck a nerve, and tiny cracks have appeared in the Kingdom’s façade. Below is a follow-up report from SUN TV discussing the silence of the feminists as well as the support for the Saudis by labor unions and Canadian state television.
