Gates of Vienna News Feed 4/3/2011Richard Goldstone is the South African judge who authored the infamous Goldstone Report for the UN, which condemned Israel for human rights violations and the deliberate targeting of Palestinian civilians in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead in 2009. Now Judge Goldstone has retracted the worst of his conclusions, saying in a Washington Post editorial that the Israelis did not systematically target civilians or commit any of the other abuses they were accused of. Israel has demanded that the UN nullify the Goldstone Report on the basis of its author’s retraction.

Meanwhile, the European Central Bank is set to raise interest rates ahead of the Fed. This is the first time in forty years that ECB has gone out of line with the Fed. The move is expected to improve the value of the euro against the dollar.

In other news, a suicide bomber attacked a Sufi temple in Pakistan during the Urs religious celebration, killing at least 41 people. The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility.

  1. 3rd Intifada Facebook Page Translated

If Facebook blocks this page, all Muslims will boycott Facebook forever!

    Promises, promises …

  2. Iran Sees Western Plot Behind Tensions With Gulf Countries

Iran claims the shadow of “a Western and Zionist plot” is behind recent tensions between Gulf countries and Iran.

Why of course! Everyone knows that Iran’s role in destabilizing the entire Middle East has absolutely nothing to do with it!

Shadow, nothing, I think our “plot” to counter their agenda of subjugating the globe under Sharia Law is pretty clear.

Of course they’re going to have bad things to say about us. But that doesn’t mean we just roll over for them, just because we’re afraid of bad things being said about us.

  4. Cheradenine Zakalwe: The savages on Lampedusa have burnt down a centre for Christian spiritual training – because they were tired of being fed macaroni!

Not feeding them for several days should see a significant decline in their ability to light fires.

After that, two months of uninterrupted macaroni, three times a day.

  5. Lawrence: Of course they’re going to have bad things to say about us.

The real question is whether they will ever have good things to say about us.

During the 2003 Bam earthquake, Iran was more than happy to let thousands of their people suffer through the typically meager emergency response that Muslim countries provide. This, despite repeated offers of disaster assistance from American.

Only after the hubbub had died down (so to speak), and the catastrophe was off of the front pages did Iran quietly accept American aid.

As if that would even put a temporary halt to their strident cries of “death to America”.

It is long past tea to deny Islam every possible access to modern amenities and let the Muslim world stew in their own cesspits; much as they have done for the past millennium or more. It couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch.
