Two little German girls who were kidnapped in Yemen almost a year ago have been freed, but there is no word on the fate of their parents or their little brother. The girls, one four years old and the other five, now speak Arabic to each other and answer to new (Muslim) names. They have been returned to Saxony to live with relatives. Meanwhile, an American couple has been kidnapped, also in Yemen.
In other news, Indonesian authorities have cracked down on a Christian congregation and have denied them the use of their church building, despite the fact that they had obeyed the law and obtained all the proper permits for the building. Members of the congregation have vowed to continue practicing their faith by celebrating Mass in the street.
