The Frankfurt-Hausen Mosque

A reader in Germany just sent us this note:

Frankfurt-HausenFrankfurter Rundschau, a frequently-cited newspaper from Frankfurt on the river Main in Western Germany, has started online ballot asking for comments on “Building a mosque at Frankfurt-Hausen”.

Possible answers are, from top to bottom:

1.   “Of course, I don’t have any problems with that!”
2.   “I don’t care, as long as authorities make sure it will not become a center for radical Islamists!”
3.   “I am against it; there are already enough mosques in the city and its suburbs!”
4.   “Frankly, I cannot comment on that!”

I am just forwarding this link to European Anti-Islamists, and will not give any recommendation what to select.

Every participating single computer is registered, but not every individual. So, if anyone has more computers …

Currently, Sat 2200 Berlin time, it’s 73% against. With the aim of expressing the citizens’ overwhelming will, I ask you to drop your vote at the above ballot.

  1. Who’s funding the mosque?

    I ask, because #2 is hilarious: if the Saudis are anywhere near this project, what do they expect it to do? Promote peaceful acceptance of Israel?

  4. You can vote using different browsers on the same computer as easily as each computer on your avaiable network. This slight of hand worked under Fedora 4, Fedora 6 and W2K using IE6.* and FireFox.
