Gates of Vienna News Feed 1/28/2016

A man who was carrying a backpack containing two handguns (one of them an automatic), ammunition, and a Koran was arrested when he attempted to enter the hotel at Disneyland Paris. Police are searching for a suspected accomplice, who is also the man’s lover. To the great relief of the residents of the hotel, authorities say that the incident had nothing to do with Islam.

In other news, the first photos of the 15-year-old Somali migrant who killed an asylum center worker in Sweden reveal that he is six feet tall and has what appears to be a thick (but shaven) beard.

How Italian Banks Will Offload Bad Loans Under Italy-EU Deal

Involves moving loans to separate vehicle which issues bonds

(ANSA) — Rome, January 27 — Italy reached a deal with the European Commission late on Tuesday for a mechanism to manage over 200 billion euros in bad loans that are weighing on the balance sheets of Italian banks.

The non-performing loans, which built up during the country’s recession between 2012 and 2014, are a burden for Italian banks and the economy as they limit banks’ ability to provide new credit that could help boost a recovery.

Here’s how the loan management scheme agreed by Italy and the EU works: Everything revolves around a system of securitisation, which involves taking an illiquid asset such as a mortgage and transforming it into a security that can be negotiated on the market. Banks give the non-performing loans, currently on their balance sheets, to a separate financial vehicle which is off their books. This vehicle will sell debt backed by the loans as underlying assets. The bonds it issues will be bought on the market and likely also from the European Central Bank through its asset purchase programme.

However, a large part of the loans were given to debtors who have become insolvent so they are not fully recoverable. The Italian Economy Ministry will therefore facilitate the mechanism by providing guarantees to help narrow the difference between prices offered by buyers and sellers.

Here is where the problems lie. The deal struck with Brussels says the Italian state should only guarantee senior tranches of the securitisation, that is the safest ones. It will also only offer the guarantee if the bonds have received an investment grade rating. Some banks will find themselves with very few senior tranches and so will only be able to offload some non-performing loans. They will therefore likely have to proceed to further capital increases that Barclays estimates will reach up to 28 billion euros.

Italy: MPS Posts First Profit in 5 Yrs

390 mn euros in 2015

(ANSA) — Milan, January 28 — The troubled Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) bank returned to profit in 2015 after five years in the red, posting a net profit of 390 million euros in 2015, the bank said Thursday. MPS’s last positive balance sheet was in 2010. MPS has gone through a string of scandals and has taken a battering recently due to its high ratio of non-performing loans (NPLs).

Markets Uneasy as Federal Reserve Contracts Money Supply: “Stocks Sinking Back Into Oblivion”

As stocks continue to crash, you can blame the Federal Reserve, because the Fed is more responsible for creating the current financial bubble that we are living in than anyone else. When the Federal Reserve pushed interest rates all the way to the floor and injected lots of hot money into the financial markets during their quantitative easing programs, this pushed stock prices to wildly artificial levels. The only way that it would have been possible to keep stock prices at those wildly artificial levels would have been to keep interest rates ultra-low and to keep recklessly creating lots of new money. But now the Federal Reserve has ended quantitative easing and has embarked on a program of very slowly raising interest rates. This is going to have very severe consequences for the markets, but Janet Yellen doesn’t seem to care.

There is a reason why the financial world hangs on every single word that is issued by the Fed. That is because the massively inflated stock prices that we see today were a creation of the Fed and are completely dependent on the Fed for their continued existence.

Right now, stock prices are still 30 to 40 percent above what the economic fundamentals say that they should be based on historical averages. And if we are now plunging into a very deep recession as I contend, stock prices should probably fall by a total of more than 50 percent from where they are now.

The only way that stock prices could have ever gotten this disconnected from economic reality is with the help of the Federal Reserve. And since the U.S. dollar is the primary reserve currency of the entire planet, the actions of the Fed over the past few years have created stock market bubbles all over the globe.

[Comment: Classic step to trigger economic collapse…the Fed is not making any “mistake” — it is a planned operation. Banksters are INTENTIONALLY seeking to wreck America. Recall the warning to America about central banksters successive boom bust cycles designed to loot America’s wealth?]

Ban Internet Anonymity — Says US Homeland Security Official

Justification: Child abuse and terrorism, of course

Internet anonymity should be banned and everyone required to carry the equivalent of a license plate when driving around online.

That’s according to Erik Barnett, the US Department of Homeland Security’s attaché to the European Union.

Writing in French policy magazine FIC Observatoire, Barnett somewhat predictably relies on the existence of child abuse images to explain why everyone in the world should be easily monitored.

Clinton Town Hall Questions Totally Rigged: “I Can See Why They Gave You This Question”

You may think that political town halls are open air events where regular people can have meaningful, candid and impromptu discussions with candidates. But as you’ll see from Hillary Clinton’s latest CNN town hall meeting, nothing happens by accident and the candidates are often well aware of exactly what questions “ random” audience members will ask them.

Clinton is known for controlling the entire conversation and perspective, especially when she’s in front of a camera, but this time she got totally busted.

In the following video you’ ll see a visibly nervous Brett Rosengren stand up to ask Clinton a question. Despite it being a slow travelling softball with no actual substance whatsoever, the question itself is unimportant. It’s what Rosengren says before the question that has raised eyebrows:

“ I can see why they gave you this question… “

“ I just wanted to know which of our previous presidents has inspired you most and why.”

Why would someone else be giving Clinton a question when Rosengren was supposed to come up with one of his own?

Curtain Coming Down on America’s Iconic Cowboy

A world where the government can take your children, your land, tax or fine you out of livelihood, seize your bank accounts, your property, impose the laws of eminent domain and tell you where you can and cannot pray.

The tragedy of Tuesday’s Oregon Malheur refuge affair is that like most other Americans, the occupiers mistakenly assume they still have freedom of movement in today’s America.

They didn’t and don’t. And now a dead cowboy, barely mentioned in the Fox/Trump mainstream media saturation coverage, is the tragic result.

The shooting which claimed the life of rancher LaVoy Finicum, father of 11 children and numerous grandchildren, is already being written off as a routine “traffic stop”.

Ted Cruz’s Federal Education “Choice” Kills the American Dream

WARNING: Senator Ted Cruz Uses the Words “CHOICE” and “CIVIL RIGHTS,” but Beware. By Dangling Title I Money to ALL Parents, Sen. Ted Cruz Accelerates Federal Control Over All Private, Religious, and Homeschools, and Blankets Common Core Equitably to ALL Schools in America With His Proposed Bill, S 306. [Source: Link]

On Oct. 26, 2015, The Blaze quoted Sen. Ted Cruz as saying, “School Choice Is Today’s ‘Civil Rights’ Issue.” But before you get excited about this, ask Sen. Ted Cruz what he means when he uses the term “choice.”

Quoting from Sen. Ted Cruz’s website:…

It is interesting to note that Sen. Ted Cruz forgot to say in his Press Release that he also changed the definition of private school to include homeschool. This is significant. This fight is all about protecting our children. [Mike Huckabee: Ted Cruz “Contantly Canges Positions”]

If I had not read the sponsors of this bill I would think this legislation came right out of President Obama’s Equity Plan called For Each and Every Child: A STRATEGY FOR EDUCATION EQUITY AND EXCELLENCE. (Source: Link)

[…]

The key to understanding the re-write of ESEA that passed in December, is actually reading the Reauthorization legislation which I am convinced not many people have. When Sen. Ted Cruz added his S 306 to the already heavy-handed federal legislation in the Reauthorization of ESEA, a very ugly monster storm begins to emerge out of D.C. — total control of all schools with one national curriculum, with one set of national standards, and one national test in the United States. I believe Sen. Ted Cruz knows very well why he included homeschools in the Title I federal agenda.

[…]

UNDER THE NEW ESEA, FEDERAL BUREAUCRATS WILL CONTROL THE STANDARDS, THE CURRICULUM, THE TEACHERS, THE TESTING AND THE PSYCHOLOGICAL TREATMENT Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Alexander, and Congressman Kline have circled the federal wagons. All of our children have Title I targets on their backs.

Recently Sen. Ted Cruz organized a Homeschool Coalition that he feverishly says he wants to help. But the warning cannot be clearer. Sen. Ted Cruz, intends to throw the Title I blanket over homeschools. Homeschools, Beware! Sen. Ted. Cruz does not support true free choice.

Trump Serves as Distraction to Tragedy in Eastern Oregon

A peaceful standoff in Harney County, Oregon, came to a violent end as a contingent of protesters were traveling to John Day, Oregon, to meet with the sheriff about resolving the Malheur Wildlife Refuge issue. A recorded interview with a shaken eyewitness, who was part of the company on its way to the meeting, recounted the incident that left one man dead, lying facedown in the middle of the road as he complied with law enforcement.

The so-called traffic stop occurred on a stretch of Highway 395 in eastern Oregon where there was no cell service. According to the witness, it was an ambush with armed officers stationed in the trees surrounding the area where the vehicles, carrying Ammon and Ryan Bundy, group Spokesman LaVoy Finicum and other individuals, were ordered to pull over.

The witness described how none of the firearms legally openly carried by the vehicle occupants were accessed at any time, the individuals putting their hands out the windows in attempts to avoid forceful response from the officers and federal agents. In the recording, she explained how the occupants repeatedly assured law enforcement that they had no intention of giving cause for alarm or aggression, to no avail. Despite hands raised and compliance with officer demands, the vehicles were fired upon and Finicum, who had lain down in the road as commanded, was shot while on the ground offering no resistance.

Mainstream media either has not the details or is refusing to divulge them in keeping with the meager statements made by the FBI, which includes reporting that as few as three shots were fired by law enforcement. Whereas the eyewitness stated that not one shot was fired by any of the occupants of the pulled over vehicles, somewhere around 100 rounds were let loose toward the vehicles by federal agents and their backup.

The whole incident appears to have been engineered to take place in an easily protected area where the Feds could close the roadway for miles in either direction to avoid media and other witness access. Portland television station KOIN showed video footage from a reporter’s cell phone taken from a distance behind the stop before federal agents bearing firearms told him to leave the area. He was unable to see what had occurred or subsequently report on any facts of the incident.

Suspicious in its planning and execution by federal agents, it is evident that the traffic stop had been pre-determined by the FBI as the protesters from the refuge had made it clear for two days previous that they planned to attend a townhall meeting in John Day to discuss resolution of the situation in Harney County. According to KOIN, the meeting went on without the Bundys, Finicum and their travel mates while vague reports of a “gunfight” were broadcast.

Danish Teen Fined for Fending Off Would be Rapist With Pepper Spray!

The level of politically correct insanity and willful blindness surrounding the so-called “rapefugee” crisis hitting Europe is reaching a fever pitch of stupidity.

Most of these countries where this is taking place are countries where average citizens are not only not allowed to own guns, but they are also apparently not legally allowed to own any real means of protection at all.

Case in point: a seventeen-year-old Danish girl recently fended off a “dark-skinned” English speaking attacker who attempted to rape her with pepper spray. The man had knocked the girl to the ground and was unbuttoning her pants and attempting to forcibly undress her. She pulled out the spray and was able to get him off of her with it.

And that’s how it should be. A woman should be allowed to protect herself from a scumbag rapist!!!

It’s what happened next that will probably make your brain ache with sheer dumb.

Via the Local DK:

“It is illegal to possess and use pepper spray, so she will likely be charged for that,” local police spokesman Knud Kirsten told TV Syd.

The case has sparked a backlash among some Danes who point to increasing reports of sexual harassment in Sønderborg and other Danish cities at the same time that police say they are stretched too thin to properly carry out their duties.

Numerous readers wrote in the comments section on TV Syd’s story about the incident that they would be willing to pay the girl’s fine, which will most likely be 500 kroner.

Do you think he ended up in jail for attempting to rape a teenager? Nope. He got away.

It is SHE who will end up punished with a 500 kroner ($73 USD) fine for illegal ownership of pepper spray. At this point, she probably thinks it is the best $73 dollars she ever spent in this insane, screwed up world — a world where the State in its infinite power and wisdom will charge her for not bowing down to its authority and being helpless in its arms and just allowing herself to be raped.

[…]

Now consider how the anti-gun lobby is slobbering all over itself to get the guns taken away in America, and to make us just like these places in Europe. Just like the UK or Australia — a.k.a. defenseless and completely dependent on the police and government to protect us.

In a chat thread regarding this story, someone from the UK wrote:

Denmark is as cucked as Britain?

  • guns illegal
  • tasers illegal
  • pepper spray illegal
  • only allowed to have rape whistle and colour spray to mark the person that raped/killed you

By the way, in the UK authorities require people to be carded when they buy plastic knives at the store. PLASTIC knives. They have drives where they get people to voluntarily turn in their kitchen knives.

[…]

Europeans in these chat threads and leaving comments on YouTube videos and articles about this topic just keep saying over and over,”Don’t give up your guns, America.”

Disneyland Paris Gunman’s Hotel Guests Reveal Terror of Security Crackdown as Armed Police Hunt Accomplice

A 28-year-old, who has not been named, was arrested after two guns, a box of bullets and a Koran were found in his bag.

Hotel guests have told of their terror at hearing a man was found with two automatic weapons in Disneyland Paris — as armed police hunt for his female companion.

The 28-year-old, who has not been named, was initially stopped by security guards as he tried to get into the New York hotel at the theme park.

X-rays then revealed that he had the two guns in his rucksack, together with a box of 20 bullets and a small copy of the Koran translated into French.

Italy: Priest Found Guilty of Child Molesting

Father Giampiero Peschiulli got three years eight months

(ANSA) — Brindisi, January 28 — A court on Thursday sentenced a pedophile priest to three years eight months in prison in a fast-track trial.

Father Giampiero Peschiulli, 73, was placed under house arrest in May on suspicion of molesting two altar boys while he was a parish priest in the southern city of Brindisi.

He was charged with sexually abusing the victims aggravated by “abuse of moral and religious authority”.

The alleged offenses date back to 2012, when the boys were not yet 14, and reportedly lasted through 2014.

The prelate was unmasked by a satirical TV show that specialises in stings, Le Iene (Reservoir Dogs).

Peschiulli left his post after the alleged abuse was unveiled in October 2014.

The priest was implicated when one of the victims told a teacher his story.

Carabinieri police said reports exist of other alleged sexual abuse by Peschiulli going back as far as 2002, which can’t be prosecuted due to the statute of limitations.

A relative of one of the alleged victims, now an adult, said the prelate repeatedly groped him on his thighs and near his genitals when he was a 10-year-old boy .

Legal documents seen by ANSA say that parents reported the priest to the bishop at the time, Monsignor Rocco Talucci, who “expressed astonishment” that the boys “had spoken at home about the abuse received, and had invited the victims of the sexual acts to not report the episode and to not speak about it to others”.

In Italy, a fast-track trial means verdicts can’t be appealed, and the defendant will get his or her sentence reduced by a third if found guilty.

Italy: Salvini: Le Pen Together at League Convention

League chief calls protesters ‘red Nazis’

(ANSA) — Milan, January 28 — The leader of France’s far-right Front National (FN), Marine Le Pen, was on hand in Milan Thursday for a convention of Italy’s rightwing, anti-immigrant Northern League (LN).

Protesters earlier in the day left a pile of manure outside the convention center, along with a banner that read: “Racism, fascism, homophobia are a pile of sh**”.

Leftists later gathered to protest the rightwing convention and its anti-immigrant agenda.

League chief Matteo Salvini later said such protesters are “the red Nazis, the friends of that Islam which hangs homosexuals and then take to the streets in the name of gay rights”.

He also said the crime of illegal immigration should stay on the books because it “works throughout half the world”. The chief of Italy’s Supreme Court made an impassioned speech in favor of the abolition of the crime of illegal immigration earlier in the day.

Silvio Berlusconi’s third government, of which the League was a junior member, made entering Italy illegally a crime in 2009.

Man Arrested With Handguns at Disneyland Paris

A man was arrested carrying two handguns and a copy of the Koran at the Disneyland Paris amusement park outside Paris on Thursday, French officials said.

France remains in a state of emergency after Islamist gunmen and suicide bombers killed 130 people in a series of jihadist attacks in and near Paris in November last year.

A police source said the 28-year-old man of European origin arrested at Disneyland had been carrying the guns, one of them an automatic handgun, concealed in a bag with the religious text.

The Interior Ministry said police were also searching for a woman who may have been with the man, correcting a previous statement that she had been arrested.

“Firearms were discovered in the bags of a man as he went through the metal detector during a routine security check at one of our hotels,” Disneyland Paris spokesman Francois Banon said.

Euro Disney, whose main shareholder is U.S.-based Walt Disney Co, runs the amusement park.

The man was unknown to police before the incident at the park’s New York Hotel, the source said.

Op-Ed: The Pope and Islam on Holocaust Remembrance Day

By Giulio Meotti

Europe has always ignored the Jews’ fleeing: it happened during the Holocaust, it happened after the war when the State of Israel was established and the survivors tried to reach it and it happened when the Arab-Islamic states pushed them away.

It is happening again: 10,000 French Jews just left their country to find a house in Israel. These are the other refugees: not the Muslim refugees the European Union is welcoming from Syria, but the Jewish refugees produced by European blindness and anti-Semitism. Nobody talks about them.

Nobody talks about the 200 Jews who left Germany because of the security situation and the rampant Judeophobia.

There is an atmosphere of forsaking Europe regarding Jews. A few days ago, the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union approved a document establishing the principle that “all agreements between Israel and the EU should unequivocally and explicitly indicate the inapplicability in the territories occupied by Israel in 1967”.

A statement so hostile to the Jewish State that it served to push EU ministers to specify that “this is not a boycott of Israel”. It is, it is: after the Israeli products have been tagged with the stigma of “Made in Occupied Territories”, now Europe decided to charge Israel of “occupying” its own soil.

There is a strange synchronicity of signs: while Europe removes sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran, which will celebrate the Day of Remembrance in Europe (27 January ) with another irreverent cartoon contest on the gas chambers, the same Europe is preparing to celebrate the Day of Memory imposing other sanctions, other loneliness, other hate, on the state of the Jews.

On 27 January, Pope Francis intended to visit the mosque in Rome. Couldn’t His Holiness have found a better day to pay homage to Islam than the Holocaust Remembrance Day? Someone must have realized that and the visit was cancelled.[…]

[This Pope is very strange, and no friend of Jews or Israel….]

Pope Continues to Find Favour With Italians — Eurispes

Consensus drops to 81.6%

(ANSA) — Rome, January 28 — Pope Francis continues to find favour with the vast majority of Italians although his popularity has fallen to 81.6%, according to the 2016 Eurispes Italy report. This compares to 87.1% in 2014 and 89.6% last year. This drop was said to be in part physiological and the result of a new sensibility to certain ethical and moral issues that does not conform to more conservative positions within the Catholic Church. Geographically speaking consensus for the pope was highest among residents of central Italy and the islands, respectively at 90.3% and 91.3%, and lowest in the north-east at 69.1%.

Appreciation was highest among voters on the centre-right (91.2%), left (89.1%), centre (88.9%) and centre-left (87.8%). The personality trait most commonly cited by admirers of the pope was his simplicity (26%), followed by his courage to say difficult things (18.1%), the desire to renew the Church (11.3%), communication skills (10.4%), the choice to speak to everyone (9.2%) and his attention towards the most vulnerable (8.4%). Some 71.1% of Italians said they were Catholic, compared to 75.2% two years ago. There were almost twice as many non-practising Catholics as there were practising Catholics, according to the Eurispes report. Of the sacraments, Catholics gave greatest importance to baptism (87.9%), followed by marriage (84.2%), the Eucharist (78.2%), Confirmation (77.2%) and confession (64.4%). Just over half of Italians believed that remarried Catholics should not be allowed to take communion.

(ANSA) — Paris, January 28 — French Prime Minister Manuel Valls on Thursday joked about the furore created by the covering up of nude statues in a Rome museum during a visit to Italy by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani earlier this week. “What have you got up to with those statues?” Valls said, in Italian, before a group of Italian reporters. The premier’s office said Wednesday it had opened an internal investigation over the cover up at Rome’s Capitoline Museums, which sparked scorn from government critics and amusement in the international media. Culture Minister Dario Franceschi said the decision was “incomprehensible,” adding that neither he nor Premier Matteo Renzi had been informed.

Abbas’s Adviser Promises Escalation to Gun Attacks

A senior adviser of Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has promised that the current Arab terror wave, which has left 29 murdered since last September, will soon move from stabbings to shootings.

Sultan Abu Al-Einein, Abbas’s adviser on NGOs and a member of the Fatah Central Committee, praised the “popular uprising” in an interview published two weeks ago on the website of Fatah’s Information and Culture Commission in Lebanon, and revealed by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) on Thursday.

“We in the Fatah movement are proud of all the martyrs, regardless of their (political) affiliation,” Al-Einein said, blessing the murderers and singling out terrorists from the Hamas stronghold of Hevron in Judea who “have sown fear in all of this cancerous Israeli body.”

“We bow before every drop of blood that has dripped from our children and women, and bow the head before every martyr and martyr’s mother, who carried her child in her belly and brought him up until he became a young man, and when they notified her of his death as a martyr, she let out cries of joy to the Heavens,” said Abbas’s adviser.[…]

The open incitement reached a peak as Al-Einein said the terror wave, which has largely consisted of stabbings, will soon escalate to focus on shooting attacks.

“What is being carried out daily against our Palestinian people is what stirs the emotions of our people in the street and what causes them to seek a knife. In my opinion, those seeking knives today will seek rifles and weapons tomorrow due to this (Israeli) terror. If the power and pace of the uprising wane a bit, that does not mean it has been stopped, but rather that it is preparing for stronger waves of rage against the Zionist enemy.”

He added a call “to confront the enemy directly, and keep him in a state of vigilance, anxiety, and fear.”[…]

ISIS Claims Suicide Attack on Yemen Presidential Palace

7 killed and 10 injured in Aden, Site reports

(ANSAmed) — BEIRUT, JANUARY 28 — In a Yemen torn apart by a civil war, an Islamic State (ISIS) suicide attack on Thursday targeted the Aden presidential palace.

At least seven people were killed and 15 injured in the attack, which was attributed by the terrorist group to one of its fighters from the Netherlands.

Aden police chief Shalal Shaei told Al Jazeera television that several of those killed were presidential palace guards.

The attacker drove a car loaded with explosives into some cement blocks at a checkpoint not far from the entrance gate to the presidential palace in the Mashiq area.

President Abd Rabbo Mansur Hadi recently returned to Aden after many months spent in exile in Saudi Arabia, where he fled after advances by the Shia Houthi rebels, who have controlled the capital, Sanaa, since September 2014. Fighting continues throughout the country.

Al Jazeera also reported Thursday that a reporter and two other members of its crew that had been kidnapped in recent days in Taiz had been released.

The director of the online jihadism monitoring group SITE, Rita Katz, said on Twitter that the ISIS-linked propagandist Amaq News Agency reported that the attack in Aden had been carried out by a Dutch foreign fighter known as ‘Abu Hunaifa Al-Hollandi’.

‘Moscow Gives us Hope’, Says Syrian Catholic Patriarch

‘We will thank anyone who helps us stay in our country’

– ROME — Syrian Catholic Church patriarch Ignatius Ephrem Joseph III Younan has said that he approves of Russia’s actions as an attempt to resolve the Syrian conflict and defeat the Islamic State (ISIS). “The Russian intervention gives us a bit of hope in this tragic situation,” he said. “Russia has helped Syria a great deal to retake and liberate cities and villages under the control of terrorist groups.” “Syrian Christians are grateful to Russia,” he said.

“Since it intervened, many things have changed on the ground.” “We will thank anyone who helps us to remain in our country,” he added, expressing gratitude towards the Russian Orthodox Church for its words of support to local Christian communities, “which we have not received from other parts with the same determination”. “Our anguish and our screams of alarm is that something is happening in Iraq and Syria that has already happened in Turkey: Christians are disappearing in the very lands where Christianity was born.” The community, he added, was being reduced ever more by ISIS attacks in a very bad situation from a humanitarian standpoint. Christians, he said, “accounted for between 15 and 19% of the population in Syria in the 1950s, but now this has dropped to less than 5%. After the emptying of Mosul in June 2014, in Iraq we have remained only in Kurdistan as refuges, while two-thirds of the Christians who had been in Baghdad have left.”

Chinese Man Stole Protected Seeds From Major US Firms

A Chinese man pleaded guilty in a US court Wednesday to stealing patent-protected corn seed from agribusiness giants Monsanto and DuPont to take back to China for commercial use.

Robert Mo Hailong, 46, participated in a plot to steal inbred corn seeds from the two US companies so that his then-employer, Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group, could use them in its own seed business, the US Department of Justice said.

Hailong “admitted to participating in the theft of inbred -? or parent -? corn seeds from fields in the Southern District of Iowa for the purpose of transporting those seeds to China,” the department said in a statement.

“The stolen inbred seeds constitute the valuable intellectual property of DuPont Pioneer and Monsanto.”…

“Merkel Has Opened the Gates”

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has “opened the gates to refugees” and this is why thousands of Moroccans are now passing themselves off as Syrians, an editor of one of Morocco’s prominent newspapers has said.

Adil Karmouti, editor in chief of the Hibapress newspaper, as quoted in the Berliner Morgenpost, revealed that thousands of Moroccans are learning the Syrian national anthem by heart, and picking up phrases and practices which will enable them to pass themselves off as Syrians when they get to Germany.

Karmouti wrote that there are formal classes in the Moroccan city of Casablanca where would-be fraudsters learn all the tricks of passing themselves off as Syrians—aided by the fact that they, along with most of the Arab world and the Middle East, speak Arabic.

“The trick is to pass oneself more or less plausibly as a Syrian,” the Berliner Morgenpost said. “This is the first step on a long road to Europe.”

35 Attacks on Invader Centers in Germany

German patriots have already carried out thirty-five attacks on invader centers this year—a record-setting number of incidents which indicates the level of popular resistance to Merkel’s “refugee” policy.

The attacks are rarely reported by the police or the controlled media in Germany, who both work under specific orders to keep news of the popular resistance under wraps.

However, a recent article in the far-left Tageszeitung (TAZ) newspaper, warning of the “increasingly violent” nature of the anti-invasion movement, revealed that the German police had already listed 35 attacks on invader accommodations this year—a rate of more than one day over the 25 days covered in the report.

According to the TAZ, German patriots who object to the nonwhite colonization of their country carried out an astonishing 12,660 “crimes” during the period January to November 2015. This included, the TAZ said, “846 violent offenses—an increase of 40 percent” on the figures for 2014.

There were also 1,005 “offenses against asylum accommodation and refugees” reported for the same period, TAZ continued, “including 173 violent crimes and 92 arsons.” During 2014, the report continued, there were “only” 28 violent offenses and six arson attacks.

The patriots have started branching out in the methods they use, the TAZ continued, no longer exclusively relying on Molotov cocktails.

“Last weekend unknown persons in Bismark near Stendal (Saxony-Anhalt) entered an asylum home and turned on all the taps. The house is now uninhabitable,” the TAZ said. Several other invader centers have also been flooded using similar methods—a tactic which is not only silent, but gives the perpetrators a better chance of leaving undetected. In addition, by the time the incident is discovered, the damage is substantial.

50,000+ Cubans Rush Into US

More than 50,000 Cubans have been airlifted and bused into the US from all over Central America over the last few months, driven by an anticipation that Washington may soon halt the “wet foot, dry foot” migration policy.

The “wet foot, dry foot” policy comes from the 1995 revision of the Cuban Adjustment Act of 1966, which said that anyone who fled Cuba and entered the United States would be granted permanent residence a year later.

In 1995, the US government agreed with Cuba that it would stop admitting people intercepted in US waters. Since then, a Cuban invader caught on the waters between the two nations (with “wet feet”) would summarily be sent home or to a third country.

However, an invader who makes it to shore (“dry feet”) gets a chance to remain in the United States, and later would qualify for expedited “legal permanent resident” status and eventually US citizenship.

It did not take long for the Cubans to realize that the legal loophole in this new rule was simply to enter the US via Mexico, and, having “dry feet,” they would be admitted to America.

As a result, more than 40,000 Cubans bought plane and boat tickets to Central American states, mostly landing in Ecuador, which offered visa-free entry for Cubans.

Czech President Zeman: “The UNHCR Project for Schools About the Refugees is Dangerous and Idiotic”

The UNHCR educational project about the refugees, which uses a comic and a film to allow schoolchildren to feel what it is like to be a refugee, is idiotic and dangerous, said Czech President Milos Zeman on television on Sunday. He praised the Czech Social Democratic Education Secretary Katerina Valachová for deciding that the UNHCR educational materials will not be distributed to Czech schools by the Czech Education Ministry.

“This is yet another idiotic project, created by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, these comics,” said Zeman. “It is just as naive as bolshevik propaganda, which was just as stupid,” said Zeman, adding that the comic “simplifies the situation”…

The UNHCR project is based on Swedish material and contains a comic and a film about the journey of an Afghan boy and a Kurdish girl to Sweden. Another film tells a fictitious story in which ten million Czechs must leave the Czech Republic after a nuclear catastrophe. They move to a fictitious Asian country where their arrival is met with protests. The Czech refugees are confronted with the problem of cultural integration into an alien country.

Economic Migrants’ Open Season: December’s Influx Sparks Political Backlash

The majority of migrants who came to Europe in December were from safe countries of origin, Vice-President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans acknowledged in an interview with Dutch television on Monday.

According to as yet unpublished EU migration statistics for December, 60 percent of migrants were from safe countries of origin, Vice-President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans said in an interview on Dutch television on Monday.

“More than half the people who are arriving in Europe now come from countries which give them no basis to apply for asylum status. More than half, 60 percent,” Timmermans told Dutch news broadcaster NOS.

Many of these migrants are coming for economic reasons from North African countries such as Morocco and Tunisia, having traveled to Europe via Turkey, he explained, citing the latest information for December from EU border agency Frontex.

“In order to maintain support for refugees, these people must be sent back as soon as possible,” Timmermans said.

An EU Commission spokeswoman told Austrian newspaper Die Presse that migration figures for December had not yet been finalized, but confirmed that economic migration is increasing.

“Of course more and more economic migrants are coming to Europe,” the spokeswoman said.

“A clear difference needs to be made between protecting asylum seekers and economic migrants who will be sent back.”…

EU Kicks Greece in Political Desperation Over Refugee Crisis

Greece is being treated as Europe’s whipping-boy after being heavily criticized by the European Commission over its handling of the refugee crisis, a leading Greek political analyst has told Sputnik.

Greece has been at the heart of the European refugee crisis for more than three years, since the first migrants began to flee war-torn states across the Mediterranean to find refuge in Greece, as well as Italy. Yet now it is being blamed by the EU for not pulling its weight.

Greek author and leading expert on politics Paschos Mandravelis has told Sputnik the EU was being totally unfair on Greece and was treating Athens as its whipping-boy to divert attention from its own shortcomings.

“In a political situation which is in turmoil all over Europe, the politicians want to show that something is being done, so they kick the weakest country in Europe — which is Greece.”

The refugee crisis exploded in 2015 as more people fled Syria, Iraq and neighboring countries, following an upsurge in airstrikes against Daesh, also known as ISIL, and the proclamation by German Chancellor Angela Merkel that her country’s doors were ‘open’ to refugees.

Greece has struggled to deal with the vast influx of migrants, hampered as it is by a lack of a common immigration policy within Europe, EU’s failure to agree a relocation package for refugees and a general collapse of EU’s external borders security.

Mandravelis told Sputnik that the refugee crisis has a lot in common with the economic crisis.

“Brussels doesn’t know what to about it and so it kicks the weakest link in the chain, which is, unfortunately, Greece again. The politicians in Europe — just because they don’t know what to do and are under a lot of pressure from the far-right — want something to appease the public. So they shift the responsibility to Greece, which is always a ‘voluntary candidate’ [for blame].”

Greece Neglects Obligations

Nonetheless, the European Commission this week berated Greece in a damning report that concluded Greece had “no effective identification and registration of irregular migrants and that fingerprints are not being systematically entered into the system and travel documents are not being systematically checked for the authenticity or against crucial security databases, such as SIS, Interpol and national databases”.

“On this basis, the draft report concludes that Greece is seriously neglecting its obligations and that there are serious deficiencies in the carrying out of external border controls that must be overcome and dealt with by the Greek authorities,” a draft report stated.

Greece is already suffering under a huge austerity package imposed on it by its creditors — the Troika comprising the International Monetary Fund, the European Central Bank and the European Commission. This has led to widespread strikes over tax rises and major changes to the country’s pension schemes.

German Govt. Lies Over Invasion, Says Police Chief

The German government has lied to the public over the extent of the nonwhite invasion, the number of “refugees” going back, and how many are actually being registered, the head of the German police union, Rainer Wendt, has said.

Speaking in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), Wendt accused German Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière of talking “nonsense” and knowingly giving out completely false information to the public.

Asked about de Maizière’s recent claim that the “situation on the German border had stabilized in recent weeks,” and that “now almost all the refugees are being registered,” and that increasing numbers of “people are being rejected right at the border,” Wendt said he could “only shake his head” in disbelief.

“If the minister said that the federal police could register up to 3,500 refugees every day at the border, then I must say that that claim is utter nonsense and devoid of all reality,” Wendt said.

“The federal police are not able to register 3,500 people a day. We have neither the personnel nor the ability to do so. I really do not know how he can even get this idea.”

The astonished FAZ interviewer then asked Wendt if de Maizière was therefore telling an “untruth” when he asserted that all the “refugees were being registered at the border.”

Wendt replied “Yes, this is simply nonsense. We can only check a fraction of the incoming refugees at the border. Of the on average 2,000 people who currently enter Germany every day, only about 800 are fingerprinted.”

This means that at least 1,200 continue into Germany every day without any record of them whatsoever.

“All others are simply waved through and placed directly in the initial reception centers,” Wendt said, expressing the hope that they would be registered there.

Italy Should OK 3 Bn to Turkey — Roettgen

Must act together politically, financially says Bundestag chair

(ANSA) — Berlin, January 28 — Italy should give its OK to three billion euros of EU aid to Turkey to cope with the refugee crisis, the chair of the German Bundestag’s foreign affairs committee, Norbert Roettgen (CDU), said in an interview with ANSA Thursday.

Noting that the EU was suffering a “crisis of solidarity” over the migrant emergency, he said Italy’s participation in the fund “would confirm that this crisis can be seen as a European crisis, which can only be overcome (by acting) together politically and financially”.

In other remarks, Roettgen said the migrant issue should not be “mixed” with that of banks and economic flexibility, and said Italian Premier Matteo Renzi was “right” on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project, when he voiced solidarity with eastern Europe.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier this week the proposed pipeline project with Germany would be mutually beneficial for Russia and Europe.

Japan Refuses to be Invaded

The Japanese government—well aware of the dangers to their continued existence as a culture, civilization, and racial entity—have come down firmly against the liberal notion of “asylum seekers” and mass Third World immigration, despite mounting pressure from the outside world.

Japan’s strict immigration policy has come into focus once again with the widely-parroted news by the controlled media that “asylum seekers in Japan” had reached a record 7,586 during 2015, and of that number, only 27 had actually been accepted as genuine.

It was, however, pointed out that some of those accepted as genuine, may have been waiting for years. In 2014, Japan accepted 11 “asylum seekers” out of the 5,000 who applied.

The racial makeup of the “asylum seekers” who have applied in Japan also makes interesting reading: Nepal provided the largest number of applicants in 2015, accounting for 1,768 individuals, while 969 people came from Indonesia, and 926 from Turkey.

None of these nations can in any sense be considered “unsafe”—a lesson that the liberal Europeans still cannot understand—and the chances of any of them actually being granted asylum in Japan is zero. Of the 27 people granted asylum in 2015, six are from Afghanistan and three from Syria.

Japan is well-known for its peaceful homogeneity, and quiet but effective control of its borders to prevent the mass invasions which European countries have allowed—and encouraged—to take place.

Even when liberals occasionally call for the lifting of immigration restrictions—using the easily-disprovable “ageing population” argument—they are quickly slapped down.

Current Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, for example, is on record as saying that he is opposed to easing immigration rules, “particularly for unskilled foreign workers, because of the social and economic tensions that could arise from the introduction of different ethnic groups.”

Netherlands Suggests Sending Refugees Arriving in Greece Back to Turkey

The Netherlands is making the case in the European Union for a deal with Turkey to send migrants arriving in Greece back on ferries, the leader of a ruling Dutch party told local media on Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The plan was proposed by Labor party leader Diederik Samsom and backed by his coalition partner, Prime Minister Mark Rutte, De Volkskrant newspaper reported.

In an interview with De Volkskrant, Samsom said there was a “realistic chance” that the core group of EU countries would back the Dutch proposal to share out between 150,000 and 250,000 refugees from Turkey every year in exchange for Ankara taking back those coming ashore in Greece.

The first ferries with asylum seekers from Greek islands of Lesbos, Chios and Kos could leave for Turkey in March or April, Samsom told the outlet. He said a dozen of EU countries — specifically France, Portugal and Spain — could agree to take in migrants from Turkish refugee camps.

The Netherlands is holding EU’s rotating presidency. It expects a visit from the Turkish prime minister in February.

The Long Goodbye: Sweden Will Give Failed Migrants Financial Aid for Years

Press secretary to Sweden’s Minister for Home affairs Anders Ygeman said that since Sweden received more than 163,000 migrants over the past year, Sweden had extended the existing facilities and changed the whole system so that now all local authorities have to take their own responsibility for housing migrants.

MOSCOW (Sputnik), Anastasia Levchenko — Failed asylum seekers facing deportation from Sweden will stay in special facilities and receive financial aid for several years before being expelled to the countries of origin, press secretary to Sweden’s Minister for Home affairs Anders Ygeman told Sputnik Thursday.

On Wednesday, Anders Ygeman revealed Sweden’s plans to expel up to 80,000 failed asylum seekers. He mentioned that deporting migrants would take several years, and charter aircrafts would be used for these purposes.

“We have this system where we have facilities for people who seek asylum to stay until they have got an approval or disapproval of their application. There are several facilities,” the spokesperson said, asked whether migrants will be provided with housing while they are waiting for deportation.

He explained that since Sweden received more than 163,000 migrants over the past year, Sweden had extended the existing facilities and changed the whole system so that now all local authorities have to take their own responsibility for housing migrants.

“There is some financial aid that they will receive, yes,” the spokesperson said, asked whether people facing deportation will get any money.

“They will be directly sent to their countries of origin. Syria, Afghanistan are the main countries. But each case will be reviewed individually,” he added.

The amount of asylum applications that Sweden saw in 2015 was the highest per capita index in Europe, according to the Swedish Migration Agency.

Europe is toughening immigration rules due to an unprecedented influx of refugees fleeing conflict-torn countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

‘You Tweet a Lot… Watch Your Tone’: Cops Threaten Dutch Man for Opposing Govt Mass Migration Plans

Dutch cops are policing anti-mass migration comments, even threatening social media users of “sedition” for opposing government policies. The news has emerged after police paid visits to warn multiple people who made anti-mass migration comments on social media, reports DW.com.

Mr. Jongeneel then got a visit to his mother’s house, and subsequently his place of work, from police who wanted to warn him over his comments.

“They asked me to be careful about my Twitter behaviour, because if there are riots, then I’m responsible.”

“You tweet a lot,” said the police, explaining: “We have orders to ask you to watch your tone. Your tweets may seem seditious”.

Council of Europe Urges Italy to Pass Civil Unions Law

Renzi’s PD reaches ‘framework’ deal on bill

(ANSA) — Rome, January 26 — Council of Europe Secretary-General Thorbjorn Jagland on Tuesday encouraged Italy to pass a civil unions bill guaranteeing rights for gay couples.

“I encourage #Italy to ensure legal recognition for same sex couples as per @ECHR & as in majority of @CoE states,” he tweeted. A civil unions bill that would extend rights enjoyed by straight married couples to committed gay couples — such as the right of one spouse to inherit the other’s property or pension, or to make decisions in their stead should one partner be incapacitated — is now before parliament.

Italy is the only western European country not to have either legalised gay marriage or recognised civil unions between same-sex couples. The European Court of Human Rights in July 2015 condemned Italy for failing to give gay couples legal “recognition and protection”, and said the State must change its laws to remedy that.

“The legal protection currently available in Italy to same-sex couples…not only failed to provide for the core needs relevant to a couple in a stable and committed relationship, but it was also not sufficiently reliable,” the human rights court said in its ruling.

The court also ordered the State to pay damages of 5,000 euros to each of the three gay couples who brought the case against Italy to Strasbourg, and awarded another 14,000 euros to cover legal costs.

Premier Matteo Renzi has said his government would introduce laws on same-sex unions this year.

Neither same-sex marriage nor civil unions between same-sex partners are legally recognized in Italy but some cities, including Rome, have a civil union register.

Catholics across the political spectrum, including some in Renzi’s centre-left Democratic Party (PD), object to a measure in the bill allowing gay spouses to adopt their partner’s biological children.

The PD Senate caucus on Tuesday approved the framework of the bill. The PD has granted freedom of conscience on some provisions including stepchild adoption, but divisions remain within the party.

Interior Minister Angelino Alfano said Tuesday that he had “already accounted” for the possibility of staging a referendum to scrap the bill if it is passed into law. “I think that, when faced with such a difficult parliamentary decision, it could be a rational decision to let the people decide, if the law were perceived as an excess, in one direction or another,” Alfano, the leader of the small New Centre Right (NCD) party, a minority partner in Renzi’s governing coalition, told Radio Capital. Meanwhile, Gaetano Quagliariello, the leader of a small IDEA group of Catholic lawmakers, said that he was hopeful of obtaining secret ballots for Senate votes on the bill. “We are ready to ask for secret votes,” said Quagliariello. “We’ll see what amendments it’s possible to have them on and we’ll do it. “In the GAL (umbrella group that IDEA belongs to) alone we can count on around 10 Senators,” he said, adding that the quota of 20 Senators needed to obtain a secret vote was “easily achievable”.

Experts see the bill as more likely to encounter trouble in secret votes. PD Senate caucus leader Luigi Zanda said PD Senators “have no interest” in a secret vote on the civil unions bill. “Our position is very clear, we’ve expressed it in our assemblies, they are transparent positions,” Zanda said.

Italy: Referendum Against Civil-Union Bill Possible Says Alfano

Best to let people decide if move seen as ‘excess’ — minister

(see related) (ANSA) — Rome, January 26 — Interior Minister Angelino Alfano said Tuesday that he had “already accounted” for the possibility of staging a referendum to scrap a bill regulating civil unions, including same-sex ones, if it is passed into law. “I think that, when faced with such a difficult parliamentary decision, it could be a rational decision to let the people decide, if the law were perceived as an excess, in one direction or another,” Alfano told Radio Capital. Alfano is the leader of the small New Centre Right (NCD) party, a minority partner in Premier Matteo Renzi’s governing coalition, which is opposed to some parts of the bill. Renzi, the leader of the centre-left Democratic Party (PD), is backing the bill.

  1. “appears to be a thick (but shaven) beard.”

Swedensen: The boy is 15 years old. Who knows what trauma he has gone through, poor guy?

Reason: But he has BEARD AND IS six feet?

Swedensen: We don’t look for truth elsewhere. We rely on muslims for truth. They don’t lie. Their peaceful religion forbids them to lie.

Reason: And do your citizens believe what you and your government say?

Swedensen: You see we don’t have citizens. We have only dumb driven sheep.

  2. From Jihadwatch.org” :

Germany: Muslim migrants screaming “Allahu akbar” charge police, 6 cops hospitalized.

Muslims : Thank you mama, mumu, mummy Merkel. We could not have done that without you help and stupidity. You must be talented that ‘s why you have been elected by talented voters.

  3. Why are mosques open? Why has the Quran not been banned yet? Why are Muslims still walking around freely in non Muslim countries – especially Western Europe? Do we crave violence and subjugation by demi – human creatures? I must say it is all getting so very kinky.

  4. “Danish female journalist on rapes and terrorism: We need men “that can stand up, who can fight back”

Men . . . Europe? Very strange. Are there men in Europe? I know there are muslim worshippers in Europe? But men . . .

There are muslim men in Europe . . . yes.

    • We also need women who can stand up to reality and stop advocating for unrealistic feel-good nonsense.

If it weren’t for the participation of women, none of this would be happening because men wouldn’t have allowed a bunch of barbarians in if the decision making had been left only to men as a group.

    • “Men and women are absolutely equal and women are superior to men – crossed eyes. In fact women are even a race all their own – no men needed”. The Muslim tapeworm rape, pillage and plunder refusleezes are good with that.

  5. Finland to follow Sweden’s idea
    Repatriation of 20 000 migrants

    – Finnish government to deport 65 percent of 32,000 migrants arrived in 2015
    – Finland made it more difficult for Iraqis, Afghans and Somalis to get asylum

    • “It would appear from news reports that they are not fleeing their former countries so much as bringing their former countries with them.”
      Reader, Daily Mail

      • Yeah but….NOBODY is stopping anyone. Is it any wonder these murderous snub nosed Muslim packs feel they can rape on.

  6. Sweden you are rapidly becoming an international laughing stock! Why is this fifteen year old “boy “allowed ” to slump in court with a blanket over his head? Why isn’t he standing to hear the charges out of respect to the court officials? Who cares what traumas he has faced or objects to being held in custody? What about the trauma he inflicted on the poor girl he stabbed and the trauma that the girl’s family will have to live with for the rest of their lives? He is patently not fifteen! Shame on you for not ordering the simple and painless medical tests which would verify his actual age! Should he escape with a token sentence may God forgive you.
