Biden’s Bold Move to Combat AI Abuse Stirs Privacy and Free Speech Fears

The Biden administration is pushing for sweeping measures to combat the proliferation of nonconsensual sexual AI-generated images, including controversial proposals that could lead to extensive on-device surveillance and control of the types of images generated. In a White House press release, President Joe Biden’s administration outlined demands for the tech industry and financial institutions to curb the creation and distribution of abusive sexual images made with artificial intelligence (AI).

A key focus of these measures is the use of on-device technology to prevent the sharing of nonconsensual sexual images. The administration stated that “mobile operating system developers could enable technical protections to better protect content stored on digital devices and to prevent image sharing without consent.”

Biden to Face at Least 35 ‘Uncommitted’ Delegates at Chicago DNC

As the Democratic National Convention approaches, a growing number of delegates remain uncommitted, with a significant block in the party unsatisfied with President Joe Biden’s leadership.

Currently, Biden has secured 3,664 delegates, yet over 682,000 voters in the primary have cast “uncommitted” ballots or written in different candidates, resulting in 35 uncommitted delegates that will be present at the convention.

This trend reflects dissatisfaction among far-left voters, many of whom have launched campaigns like “Abandon Biden” or “Leave it Blank” in protest of Biden’s stance during the Israel-Hamas conflict and his perceived lack of condemnation of Israel.

COVID Shots Linked to Surge in ‘Rare Blood Cancer,’ Study Finds

A new study has uncovered links between Covid mRNA shots and a global surge in a “rare blood cancer.”

The study sought to uncover evidence that the Pfizer/BioNTech (BNT162b2) mRNA vaccine led to robust germinal center B cell response while inducing effective stimulation of T follicular helper (TFH) cells which also triggered side effects including lymphadenopathy.

Scientists believe that this response has caused a rare blood cancer spike among those vaccinated with the Covid mRNA injections.

TrialSite News reported multiple cases of this condition also aggregated in the React19 Scientific Publications Directory.

The database currently houses at least 20 studies showing that mRNA vaccines can on at least rare occasions trigger this condition.

Specifically in the present case, the study authors from Marshall University, Huntington, WV, USA report that the Pfizer mRNA COVID-19 vaccine called BNT162b2 appears to have triggered a case of angioimmunoblastic lymphoma (AITL).

Fani Willis Files Appeals After Judge Drops Charges Against Trump

Georgia’s Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has filed a last-ditch appeal after multiple charges against President Donald Trump were dropped.

The move from the Democrat prosecutor comes after Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee dropped multiple indictments against Trump.

Willis’s case against Trump has fallen apart and McAfee’s decision to drop multiple indictments has signaled that the 45th president has soundly crushed the Democrat district attorney.

Fetterman Claims Credit for Freeing American Dad Who Was Arrested in Turks and Caicos Over Ammo in His Luggage

A Pennsylvania dad made a triumphant return home on Friday after being arrested in February the Turks and Caicos over ammunition that he had accidentally left in his luggage when he traveled to the Caribbean islands.

Now, Sen. John Fetterman (D-Penn.) is taking credit for helping secure the release of Bryan Hagerich, 39, despite the Pittsburgh-native facing up to 12 years in prison for the stray rounds.

Fetterman was the only Democrat to travel to the British territory as part of a delegation of lawmakers who pushed for the release of five Americans detained there — all of whom were caught with ammo in their bags.

First Cruise Ship Sets Sail From Port of Baltimore Since Key Bridge Collapse: ‘It’s a Good Day’

“Cruising is back in Baltimore,” declared Jonathan Daniels, executive director of the Maryland Port Administration, as passengers began arriving Saturday at the Cruise Maryland Terminal. The festive occasion marked the first cruise ship to arrive and depart the Port of Baltimore since the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge on March 26.

Less than a week prior, the terminal was the headquarters for the Key Bridge Response Unified Command to coordinate recovery operations, Daniels said. They began condensing their workspace down last weekend, started packing up Monday night after the Dali was refloated that morning and were out by Tuesday afternoon.

“While there is still work that needs to be done to be able to complete the salvage operation, this is a wonderful sign that the next milestone is pointing to the fact that business is truly returning to the port,” Daniels said.

Just after 10 a.m., the sound of steel drums echoed in the terminal as it began to fill with passengers eager to board Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas cruise ship for a five-night trip to Bermuda.

Hillary Clinton Praises ‘Tremendously Impressive’ GOP Tactics, Lamenting Dems Have ‘Nothing Like It’

While riffing about Democratic failures to defend Roe v. Wade, Clinton, 76, griped that her party sometimes lacks the relentless resolve the right has.

Man Accused of Stabbing 6, Including 4 Girls, Captured After Police Chase in Massachusetts

A man accused of randomly stabbing four girls in a Massachusetts theater and a couple in a nearby fast-food restaurant on Saturday is in custody after a police chase.

Massachusetts State Police said the man, who wasn’t identified, was taken to a hospital after he crashed his car in Sandwich while speeding away from authorities. No word was given on the extent of his injuries.

Police tied the man to stabbings in Braintree and Plymouth that left six people wounded. All the victims are expected to survive, law enforcement said.

The Braintree attack took place inside a movie theater around 6 p.m. when local authorities said the suspect walked in without paying and stabbed four girls between the ages of nine and 17.

“Without saying anything and without any warning, he suddenly attacked and stabbed the four young females,” Braintree police said in a news release. “The attack appeared to be unprovoked.”

Police said the man ran out of the theater after the attack and drove off in a black SUV.

About an hour later, state police said the same man stabbed a 21-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man inside a McDonald’s in Plymouth.

NASA Detects Earth-Size Planet Just 40 Light-Years Away That’s ‘Not a Bad Place’ to Hunt for Life

Scientists using a NASA space telescope have discovered a tantalizing world. It’s about the size of Earth, sits remarkably close to our solar system, and could be comfortable for life as we know it.

The extrasolar planet, or “exoplanet,” named Gliese 12 b, orbits a small and cool red dwarf star located just around 40 light-years from Earth in the constellation Pisces. The exoplanet — which the team found with NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) — is estimated to have a width around 1.1 times that of Earth, making it similar to our planet as well as Venus, which is often called our world’s solar system “twin.”

Gliese 12 b orbits its star, Gliese 12, so closely that its year lasts just 12.8 Earth days. However, because the red dwarf Gliese 12 is just around a quarter of the size of the sun, it is also much cooler than our star. This means that, even though Gliese 12 b is at a distance from its red dwarf parent equivalent to just 7% of the distance between the sun and Earth, it still is in its planetary system’s habitable zone. Also known as the “Goldilocks Zone,” the habitable zone is the region around a star that is neither too hot nor too cold for planets to host liquid water, a vital ingredient for life as we know it. Though, importantly, the two teams behind the discovery of Gliese 12 b can’t yet say for sure if it has an atmosphere. It therefore remains unclear if the world could be habitable, but the researchers have some cautious optimism.

Seattle Museum Shut Down After Staff Walkout to Protest Exhibit on Antisemitic Hatred

The workers, who form about half of the staff at the Wing Luke Museum, stormed off the job Wednesday, the day the exhibit opened, forcing the site to close and vowing to remain on strike until their demands are met.

“Zionism has no place in our communities and being anti-Zionist goes hand in hand with our own liberation as AA/NHPI,” wrote the disgruntled staffers, who work at the only pan-Asian art and history museum in the United States. “Our solidarity with Palestine should be reflected in our AA/NHPI institutions.”

Soros Empire’s Grip on American Legal System Might Just be Loosening

Prosecutors across the country who have received financial backing from political action committees funded by George Soros are losing elections and facing recalls as crime continues to plague America’s cities.

In just the past few months, the district attorney overseeing Portland lost his reelection bid, while Los Angeles’ district attorney faces long reelection odds. These prosecutors received campaign cash from Soros-backed political action committees, with their troubles building on a pattern experienced by Soros-backed prosecutors across the country.

Voters have, in recent years, rejected Soros-backed district attorneys in Loudoun County, Virginia, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and San Francisco. St. Louis prosecutor Kim Gardner resigned in 2023 rather than be removed by Missouri’s attorney general.

“Local prosecutor races are the most important races that nobody paid attention to until George Soros exploited the system by electing radical, progressive prosecutors who had no intention of enforcing our laws,” Protecting Americans Action Fund Executive Director Ada Furciniti told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Protecting Americans Action Fund is a PAC founded by Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares aimed at defeating liberal prosecutors across the country.

Texas Judge Stops Biden Administration Rule That Caps Credit Card Late Fees at $8

The Biden Administration has been trying to create laws and rules that would limit “junk fees” charged by credit card companies and other companies with consumer fees.

One of those rules would limit credit card companies from charging late fees. The rule would drop the average credit card late fee from $32 to $8. Recently, however, a federal judge in Texas blocked this rule.

U.S. District Judge Mark T. Pittman, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump, paused the rule in response to business and banking organizations stating the rule violated certain federal statutes. Among those upset with the rule are the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the American Bankers Association.

Trump Promises Ross Ulbricht’s Freedom

Finally! Trespass Notices Issued to the Hamas Hobos Illegally Squatting at the University of Toronto

The University of Toronto is world-renowned for its medical school. And we think we have proof positive that this faculty produces excellent surgeons indeed. Case in point: U of T president Meric Gertler has finally been reunited with his spine. And perhaps even his testicles.

After all, President Gertler, a.k.a., the Invisible Man (move from ver, Mitch Marner) has finally stepped forward after three long smelly weeks. Last Thursday afternoon, Gertler told the Hitler Youth campers at Little Gaza that enough is enough.

Which is to say, Gertler gave the unhappy campers 24 hours notice to leave. Otherwise, notices of trespass would be issued on Friday. And if those notices are ignored (spoiler alert: the trespass notices are being ignored) then at long last the cops will be called and the university will divest itself of this festering tent city once and for all.

Britain Wants to Make All 18-Year-Olds Serve in the Army or Perform “Civic Duties” on Weekends

Britain wants to make all 18-year-olds serve in the army for a year—or alternatively give up their weekends to perform “civic duties.” This is how the country aims to reintroduce mandatory military conscription. This was reported by the Daily Mail, citing British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

If the Conservatives win the upcoming elections, the new rules will come into effect in September next year.

According to the plan, high school graduates will be required to spend a year in full-time service in the armed forces—or engage in volunteer work on weekends with the police and the National Health Service.

Sunak refers to the experience of Sweden, Norway, France, and Denmark, which have already implemented this approach in one form or another. The “Sunak plan” states that one of the goals is to overcome the “lethargy of many young people” in light of increasing military tensions in the world.

Farage Sparks Leftist Meltdown After Stating Growing Number of Muslims ‘Loathe’ British Values

The chattering classes in the UK put on their outrage cap on Sunday while trotting out accusations of “racism” against Brexit leader Nigel Farage for warning that an increasing number of Muslims in the country “loathe” British values.

Appearing on Sky News’s Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips, Mr Farage stated: “We have a growing number of young people in this country who do not subscribe to British values, in fact, loathe much of what we stand for. I think we see them on the streets of London every Saturday.”

When pressed by Phillips if he was referring to Muslims in the UK, Farage replied: “We are. And I’m afraid I found some of the recent surveys saying that 46% of British Muslims support Hamas — support a terrorist organisation that is proscribed in this country.”

Population in Europe is Declining Faster Than Expected — FT

The year 2024 could become a turning point in the history of the European Union, as the population, currently at 448 million, has begun to decline according to UN forecasts. Moreover, it is expected to continue declining at an unprecedented rate for peacetime, writes the Financial Times.

It is noted that during 2022, the EU population grew after a temporary two-year decline reflecting the impact of the pandemic. This growth was aided by the influx of refugees from Ukraine. Last year, Eurostat projected that the population would peak at 453 million in 2026. However, the figures for 2023 turned out to be lower than expected, as the birth rate in the EU fell to a level that Eurostat had not projected for another two decades, indicating that the peak might not be reached by 2026.

“It is becoming apparent that the long-anticipated demographic change in the EU seems to be arriving earlier than many experts had predicted. While immigration has helped maintain population numbers over the past few decades, and the increased participation of immigrants and women in the workforce has compensated for the accelerated decline in the working-age population in the EU, these factors will soon be insufficient,” the newspaper writes.

In many of the 27 EU countries, birth rates have remained extremely low for decades. As the most productive part of the population shrinks, additional pressure is placed on public finances, which has implications for the economic prospects and geopolitical position of the bloc. Consequently, the EU has become a testing ground for government pro-natal policies, most of which have so far proved ineffective in stopping the decline in birth rates. Another measure—increasing immigration—is a politically sensitive issue in many capitals.

According to the UN, the number of working-age people in the EU aged 20-64, who provide the bulk of tax revenue, has decreased from a peak of 270 million in 2011 to 261 million this year. Relative to the total population, the share of the working-age population in the EU peaked at 61.4% in 2008 and has now decreased to 58%.

Hamas Launches First Long-Range Rocket Attack From Gaza Since January

DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Hamas fired a barrage of rockets from Gaza that set off air raid sirens as far away as Tel Aviv for the first time in months on Sunday in a show of resilience more than seven months into Israel’s massive air, sea and ground offensive.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage in what appeared to be the first long-range rocket attack from Gaza since January. Hamas’ military wing claimed the attack. Palestinian militants have sporadically fired rockets and mortar rounds at communities along the Gaza border, and the military arm of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group later Sunday said it fired rockets at nearby communities.

The Israeli military said eight projectiles crossed into Israel after being launched from the area of the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where Israeli forces recently launched an incursion. It said “a number” of the projectiles were intercepted.

12 People Injured After Qatar Airways Plane Hits Turbulence on Way to Dublin

Twelve people were injured when a Qatar Airways plane flying from Doha to Dublin on Sunday hit turbulence, airport authorities said. Eight of the injured were hospitalized, CBC reported.

Dublin Airport said in a statement that flight QR017, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, landed safely as scheduled before 1 p.m. (1200 GMT).

It said that upon landing the aircraft was met by emergency services, including airport police and the fire and rescue department, “due to six passengers and six crew … reporting injuries after the aircraft experienced turbulence while airborne over Turkey.”

The airport said all passengers were assessed for injuries aboard the plane, and eight were then taken to hospital.

Passenger Paul Mocc told Irish broadcaster RTE that he saw “people hitting the roof” and food and drink flying everywhere.

Another traveler, Emma Rose Power, told RTE that after the turbulence, “some of the flight attendants I saw, they had scratches on their face, they had ice to their face. There was one girl that had a sling on her arm.”

Qatar Airways said in a statement that “a small number of passengers and crew sustained minor injuries in flight and are now receiving medical attention.”

It said “the matter is now subject to an internal investigation.”

NATO Country Says Goal Should be Breakup of the Russian Federation

Last week, Russian media took note of the latest provocative statements by Estonia’s Prime Minister Kaja Kallas. She has led Russia’s tiny Baltic neighbor into a firm hawkish anti-Moscow position. The country was part of the wave of eastern European nations to join NATO in the mid-2000s during the Bush era.

She’s calling for the breakup of the Russian Federation. Kallas proposed during a debate in the country’s capital of Tallinn last week that Russia could become much “smaller” as a desired outcome of the Ukraine war.

Bangladesh: Hindu Student is Sentenced to Five Years in Jail Over Blasphemy Charges

Shitanshu Guha | HENB | New York | May 21, 2024:: Hindu College student Tithi Sarkar has been sentenced to five years in prison for insulting Islam. Jamuna TV reported on May 13, 2024, that Tithi made derogatory comments about the Prophet Muhammad on social media. New Age reported on October 27, 2020, that Tithi Sarkar, a third-year student in the Zoology Department at Jagannath University, was suspended for making comments about Islam and Muhammad. Tithi, a former editor of the University Rights Council and convener of the World Hindu Struggle Council, claimed that her Facebook account was hacked and filed a general diary (GD) at the police station regarding the matter. She was expelled from Jagannath University in October. Earlier, students had protested against Tithi. On May 13, 2024, Banglanews24 reported that Dhaka Cyber Tribunal Judge Zulfiqar Hayat sentenced the expelled Jagannath University student Tithi Sarkar to five years in prison. However, the court stipulated a set of rules, following which Tithi would not have to go to jail.

The Daily Star reported on January 4, 2023, that a Hindu youth named Rakesh Roy was sentenced to seven years in prison for blasphemy. On February 12, the same year, a court in Rangpur sentenced another Hindu youth, Paritosh Sarkar, to four different prison terms: one year, two years, three years, and five years, totaling eleven years. The court ordered that all sentences run concurrently, meaning Paritosh would serve five years. Jaijaidin reported on May 15, 2024, that a man named Badal Banik was beaten by a mob in Feni for insulting the Prophet. Shahidul Islam Chowdhury, the Officer-in-Charge of Feni Model Police Station, said that the police rescued Badal from the mob’s wrath and took him into custody. He is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Necessary legal action is being prepared following an investigation. However, Badal claimed that he did not insult the Prophet and that he was targeted due to previous enmity.

Nayadiganta reported on May 15, 2024, that Cumilla University (CuU) student Swapnil Mukherjee has been temporarily suspended on the recommendation of the proctorial body for insulting the Prophet and Islam. Acting Proctor Kazi Omar Siddiqui confirmed this to the media, stating that preliminary investigations proved the allegations of blasphemy. Students protested against Swapnil with human chains and demonstrations. Amar Sangbad Media reported on May 2, 2024, that two Jagannath University students, Kawing Kein and Edison Dewan, were accused of making derogatory remarks about the Prophet Muhammad. Edison Dewan, a student in the Marketing Department, shared a video on a Facebook page named Buddhist Provard, where a cleric made derogatory remarks against Buddha. Kawing Kein commented on it using the name Muhammad, and Edison reacted with laughter. Kawing Kein claimed that he did not insult the Prophet, stating that he used the name Muhammad because he thought the cleric’s name was Muhammad, as Muslims often write Muhammad before their names.

The Daily Star reported on April 29, 2024, about the arrest of a Hindu youth for writing Lalon’s song on Facebook. The police released him after obtaining a bond following protests from the elite community. Weekly Blitz reported on May 5, 2024, that Sharia Bank funds in Bangladesh are being used for love jihad. The Vorer Kagoj newspaper headlined: “Unity Council and Puja Council Concerned: Love Traps for Converting Hindu Women.” On April 10, Video reported that a madrasa teacher named Faisal Karim Reza was arrested for vandalizing idols at a Kali temple of Sanatan followers in Bogura. Somoy TV reported on April 27, 2024, that cricketers refused to play under a female umpire in the Dhaka Premier League.

These incidents have recently appeared in the media. Are all these incidents interconnected, or are they isolated incidents according to the administration or leaders? Under the Digital Security Act or Cyber Security Act, hundreds of Hindu students and teachers in Bangladesh are suffering from social and state retaliation, some serving prison sentences, some detained without trial, some on the run, or sentenced. It is worth noting that Hindus in Bangladesh never insult Islam or Muhammad. They already face humiliation, oppression, and fear. They know that insulting Islam or Muhammad ensures death or severe torture. Does anyone want to invite trouble? The reality is that a certain group often uses this weapon against Hindus. The administration and the state machinery remain silent or do not take action.

Hindus in Bangladesh do not throw stones at mosques, yet attacks on temples and idol-breaking incidents are common. Clerics in their sermons continue to make enticing falsehoods about Hindu deities more than explaining the greatness of Islam. No one is watching! The Digital Security Act or Cyber Security Act is being used against Hindus like a blasphemy law. Clerics are not being caught. Only the majority in Bangladesh have religious sentiments, while others do not, or their feelings have become numb. The question arises, is religion so fragile that the entire administration has to jump in based on what a teenage girl, Tithi Sarkar, said? Many speak against Jesus in Western countries. Hindus in India speak against their deities. Do they have no feelings? All the feelings are in Bangladesh’s majority? Are Hindus in a state of ‘let go, mom, I need to cry to live’ because of these sentiments? There seems to be no immediate solution to this problem.

This weekend, French tourists who were stranded in the French Pacific territory of New Caledonia due to widespread unrest began leaving, AFP reports.

The evacuation of French tourists started on Saturday, May 25, as officially announced by local authorities. The tourists were transported by military planes to Australia and New Zealand, where they will be able to board commercial flights to return home to mainland France.

A few days earlier, Australia and New Zealand had evacuated their tourists using military transport planes. Queensland Tribunal Rules X Can be Liable for “Hate Speech” Published on the Platform

Social media giant X has faced a significant legal setback in Australia. The Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) has ruled that the company can be held accountable for so-called “hate speech” published on its platform. This landmark decision came in response to a complaint lodged by the Australian Muslim Advocacy Network (AMAN) in July 2022. AMAN accused X of permitting a “far-right conspiracy group” to post hateful and denigrating comments about Muslims.

Social media companies like X have traditionally argued that they are not responsible for content on their platforms that originates outside the jurisdictions where they do business. However, this ruling ignores that notion, suggesting the platform is responsible for the speech of its users.

Nigeria: Some 160 Villagers Reported Taken in Deadly Raid

Ten people have been killed and at least 160 other villagers have been kidnapped from a remote community in Nigeria’s central Niger state, BBC News reported.

A large number of armed men, suspected to be from Nigeria’s militant Islamist group Boko Haram, invaded Kuchi village on Friday night, local official Aminu Abdulhamid Najume told the BBC’s World Service.

Those kidnapped were mostly women and children, while those killed included local hunters who were providing security for the area, he said.

The gunmen reportedly rode into Kuchi on motorbikes and even spent time cooking food, making tea and looting houses before leaving more than two hours later.

Mr Najume , who chairs the Council of the Munya Local Government Area, said the Kurchi community had been left traumatised and anxious to hear news of those taken.

Writing on social media, Amnesty International expressed its “deep concern” at the mass abduction.

“The invasion of the village by the gunmen is yet another indication of the Nigerian authorities’ utter failure to protect lives,” it said.

“Since 2021 gunmen have been consistently attacking Kuchi village and raping women and girls in their matrimonial homes.

“From time to time, the gunmen demand millions of Naira as ransom from the people to avoid being kidnapped.

“Amnesty International is calling on the Nigerian authorities to end these spate of abductions and bring suspected perpetrators to justice. Frequent mass abductions and killings are clear evidence of failure of authorities to protect the people.”

Attacks in Niger state have become increasingly common although it has often been unclear if the gunmen have any links to jihadist groups.

Last month several villages were targeted by armed gangs kidnapping for ransom.

Dutch Trucker Caught With 47 Undocumented Migrants Convicted of People Smuggling

The court sentenced a Dutch truck driver to four years in prison, six months of which conditionally suspended, for trying to smuggle 47 people onto the ferry to England. The 33-year-old man from Gemert-Bakel was convicted of people smuggling. The sentence is equal to what the Public Prosecution Service (OM) had recommended.

The Dutch authorities caught the man in Hoek van Holland on December 5 last year when sniffer dogs alerted to the suspect’s truck at the border crossing point for the ferry to England. When Koninklijke Marechaussee officers searched the truck, they found 47 men, women, and children hiding in the trailer among vintage cars. I wonder when Putin will call for the breakup of Estonia.

Would the big boss please throw some brains down (for our politicians)?
