17-Year-Old’s Bank Card Used After She Was Stabbed to Death in the Galleria Area, Mom Says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Police Department is looking for a woman whom officers say robbed and stabbed a 17-year-old girl to death in the Galleria area.

On Tuesday, the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office said 17-year-old Kayla Nicole Stevenson was stabbed at least two times.

Police said the attack happened near Saks Fifth Avenue on West Alabama Street at Sage Road on Saturday morning.

An investigation is underway after Houston police reported finding a 17-year-old fatally stabbed in the Galleria area on Saturday morning.

According to HPD, officers received a call about 30 minutes before Kayla was found dead. A witness reported that a woman, who they did not know, slashed the girl in the face with a knife and took off.

Investigators said the victim was walking on the sidewalk, which is near her home and job, when she was stabbed to death.

Kylie Stevenson, Kayla’s mother, told Eyewitness News her daughter was on her way to work when she was attacked, carrying a purse containing her wallet, phone, and keys.

“I tried to get her bank card locked, and they already tried to make transactions on her card,” Stevenson said about the alleged attacker. “But they were blocked, so it wasn’t enough that they killed her and left her there. They still tried to use her card.”

Stevenson said her daughter often walked to her job at the Galleria because it was close to where she lived with her grandmother.

Early in the investigation, police reported getting a tip from someone in the area about two women fighting over a handbag.

Harvard Attempting to ‘Redefine’ Plagiarism to Protect Embattled President Claudine Gay, Alleged Victim Says

EXCLUSIVE— Scholar and political scientist Carol Swain called for embattled Harvard President Claudine Gay to step down after the school’s highest governing body stood by her despite admitting a probe found “instances of inadequate citation” in her academic writings.

“Claudine Gay needs to step down. Obviously, the Harvard Corporation did not have the courage to fire its first Black president, someone who should never have been elevated in the first place,” Swain, a retired Vanderbilt University professor, told Fox News Digital. Swain’s work was among the academic literature allegedly lifted by Gay in past writings without proper citation, according to reports last week.

Gay, who recently made headlines for refusing to say if genocide of Jews was against Harvard policy during a congressional hearing, was accused of plagiarism earlier this week. The Washington Free Beacon reported Monday that in four papers published between 1993 and 2017, including her doctoral dissertation, Gay “paraphrased or quoted nearly 20 authors—including two of her colleagues in Harvard University’s department of government—without proper attribution,” according to an analysis by the investigative news site.

The Harvard Corporation revealed that its members “unanimously stand in support of President Gay,” and maintained that despite her previous statements, she was dedicated to tackling the rampant Jew-hatred exhibited at the Boston institution.

UK Government Justifies Using Royal Air Force to Monitor Online COVID Speech, Calls “Disinformation” a “Serious Threat”

Israel, US Show Sharp Divisions Over Mounting Casualties, Future of War Against Hamas

RAFAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israel and the United States on Tuesday showed their sharpest public disagreement yet over the conduct and future of the war against Hamas as the two allies became increasingly isolated by global calls for a cease-fire.

The dispute emerged while Israeli forces carried out strikes across Gaza, crushing Palestinians in homes.

President Joe Biden said he told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel was losing international support because of its “indiscriminate bombing” and that Netanyahu should change his government, which is dominated by hard-right parties.

Biden’s comments came as the White House national security adviser heads to Israel this week to discuss with Netanyahu a timetable for the war — and what happens if Hamas is defeated. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will travel to Israel next week for a visit the Pentagon said aims to show U.S. support for Israel but also to press the need to avoid more civilian casualties in Gaza.

The war ignited by Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack into southern Israel has already brought unprecedented death and destruction to the impoverished coastal enclave, with much of northern Gaza obliterated, more than 18,000 Palestinians killed and over 80% of the population of 2.3 million pushed from their homes.

Chicago Suburb BANS Migrants and Enacts New $750 Fine for Each Border Crosser Allowed to Step Off Bus There, as Windy City Buckles Under Weight of New Arrivals

  1. Re: “More than 270,000 illegal immigrants have entered Spain since the socialist prime minister Pedro Sánchez took office.”

I don’t know how many of those were “culturally-enriched,” but I’m betting a good number.

It is germane to note that according to Islamic law and custom, once a given area or country has been a part of Dar al-Islam, it is thereafter always considered Islamic territory, even if it changes hands again and falls under infidel control once more.

This pertains to the Iberian Peninsula, since Spain and Portugal were under Islamic domination and control for almost eight-hundred years, i.e., from 711 to 1492, before King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella threw them out.

Yet, Muslims still refer to that region as “al Andalus,” such as when Osama Bin Laden spoke of it in his video messages to the West. This is no accident; Muslims believe that this land is theirs, even after more than five centuries of independent rule.
