$6 Billion Biden Promised to Iran BLOCKED by House in Bipartisan Vote

The US House has blocked the transfer of $6 billion in frozen funds to Iran. The money, being held in Qatar, was part of a hostages-for-prisoners swap deal in September. However, the funds transfer was paused by Qatar, where the funds are being held, and the US, after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7.

Iran hs been accused of aiding Hamas in the planning of that attack, which was in the works for two years, and of having green-lit the attack only a week or so before it was carried out. Even so, the Biden admin said they did not intend to refreeze the funds.

Bill Ackman Points Out Inconvenient Truth of X’s ‘Unfair Treatment by Advertisers’

X has been attacked by activist organizations such as Media Matters and legacy corporate media. These groups view the platform as a threat to their ideological agenda and the interests of their financial backers and thus aim to sabotage it by misleading companies to pull ad spending.

At The New York Times’ DealBook Summit on Wednesday, Elon Musk silenced a room full of liberal elites as he proclaimed that: “…if someone wants to blackmail me with advertising, they can go f*ck themselves.”

NYTimes noted this morning that at least half-dozen marketing agencies said they would keep their clients off X. Others have spoken with clients about reducing ad spending.

“There is no advertising value that would offset the reputational risk of going back on the platform,” Lou Paskalis, the founder and CEO of AJL Advisory, a marketing consultancy, told NYTimes.

Over the years, ZeroHedge has also gone through similar ad monetization hell, having lost most of our advertisers because they did not approve content on this website, and as a result, they — together with such members of the Censorship Industrial Complex such as Newsguard, Sleeping Giants and CheckMyAds and various three-letter US government agencies — did everything in their power to attempt to kill the site. Still, thankfully, we survived because of our premium subscribers.

Commenting on the advertiser boycott of X, billionaire Bill Ackman posted on X that Musk “is entirely correct that he and @X are treated unfairly and inconsistently by advertisers.”

Ackman pointed out that other social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and others have “enormous amounts of problematic content, antisemitic and otherwise, but the advertisers don’t boycott those platforms.”

Federal prosecutors announced Friday attempted murder charges against an Arizona inmate and ex-FBI informant, a week after ex-Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin was stabbed 22 times inside a library at the Tucson penitentiary where they are both inmates.

John Turscak, 52, is also facing multiple assault charges and inflicting serious bodily injury with an “improvised knife” around 12:30 p.m. on Black Friday — a day the suspect allegedly told investigators he picked to symbolize the “Black Lives Matter” movement, which spurred months of protests around the country in connection with the death of George Floyd — who Chauvin was convicted of killing.

Federal corrections officers intervened “immediately” according to court filings, dousing Turscak with pepper spray. He allegedly told the guards he would have killed Chauvin if guards hadn’t reacted so fast. Inmate Stabbed Derek Chauvin 22 Times, Charged With Attempted Murder, Prosecutors Say

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Court documents: Inmate who stabbed ex-officer Derek Chauvin 22 times charged with attempted murder.

A federal inmate was charged Friday with attempted murder in the Nov. 24 prison stabbing of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd.

Federal prosecutors say John Turscak stabbed Chauvin 22 times in the law library at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson, Arizona, with an improvised knife. He told correctional officers he would’ve killed Chauvin had they not responded so quickly, prosecutors said.

Turscak later told FBI agents that he’d been thinking about assaulting Chauvin for about a month because he is a high-profile inmate but denied wanting to kill him, prosecutors said.

Turscak told the agents that he attacked Chauvin on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, as a symbolic connection to the Black Lives Matter movement and the “Black Hand” symbol associated with the Mexican Mafia gang, prosecutors said.

Speaking in Ireland’s upper house the Senate on Thursday, Fine Gael party Senator Sean Kyne was venting over the riots that took place last week which have been said to be the nation’s worst in years.

Ireland’s New Media Commission is Calling on the Public to Report Any “Hate Speech” They See Online to the Police

The Irish authorities’ reaction to the turmoil caused last week in the country by the stabbing attack carried out by a migrant, seems to be to come up with more regulation affecting speech.

The assault was particularly egregious and caused a great deal of outrage among citizens as well as riots, because it was perpetrated at a school, with young children among the victims.

Now, the government has things to say about protests, public order, and policing.

Ireland’s Media Minister Catherine Martin addressed the tense situation by announcing that members of the public are encouraged to report “any online hate speech” — to the police.

Ireland: Double Standards on Hate Speech Follow Dublin Riots

A Limerick politician has called for the killing of participants in the November 23 Dublin riots. Abul Kalam Azad Talukder—celebrated as Limerick’s first-ever Muslim city councillor upon his election earlier this year—stated he wished to see the rioters shot in the head or beaten to death following last week’s violence, sparked by the stabbing of several children and a teaching assistant by a naturalised Algerian immigrant.

A member of the supposedly conservative party Fianna Fail, his remarks from November 27th were reported by the Limerick Post. Talukder stated:

I strongly believe that this is not the face of Ireland. This is just some criminals looting the shops. I don’t think they follow any ideological purpose. They come to the streets and just rob. They should get punishment.

Not even an animal does these kind of thing [sic]. It is very shameful and they should get public punishment.

I’d like to see them shot in the head or bring the public in and beat them until they die.

The call for the murder of the rioters was immediately countered by Labour councillor Conor Sheehan, who asked Talukder to withdraw his remarks, explaining that calling for the murder of people was forbidden in the council chamber.

Irish Justice Minister to Grant Police Sweeping Powers to Intercept Private Conversations on Social Media Sites Under New Legislation

The Irish police (Garda) is about to get new, wide-ranging powers to spy on people’s private online conversations happening via chat apps — in order to “crack down on crime” after last week’s events in Dublin.

But the events the Irish legislators are talking about are not the stabbing of 5 and 6-year-old children and their caregivers, but rather the reaction to the heinous crime, namely, the protests and riots that followed.

The Irish government is, overall, making a huge effort to redirect focus from the original event (committed by an Algerian man who had apparently been granted Irish citizenship) to preventing it from increasing the anti-migrant sentiment, that is already present in many European countries as a result of the controversial migrant policies over these last years.

In the words of opposition Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald — who was referring to the authorities’ relentless maneuvering around the real issue, including by calling protesters “extremists” — she has never witnessed such “brazen ass covering (by the government).”

Slovak Truckers Join Polish Drivers in Ukraine Border Blockade

(Bloomberg) — Truckers in Slovakia joined Polish counterparts in staging a blockade at the border with Ukraine, escalating a protest over competition that Kyiv says has disrupted crucial humanitarian aid imports.

The Union of Slovak Haulers began the labor action on Friday at the country’s only crossing for freight transport, extending blockades along the Poland-Ukraine frontier that’s caused traffic chaos for weeks. The Slovak drivers are demanding that the European Union reverse a wartime decision to loosen licensing rules for Ukrainian truckers.

The disruption to competition has had a “devastating impact on the Slovak transport market, but also on the markets of other neighboring states and throughout the EU,” the union said in a statement.

Video: UK Health Security Head Admits Use of Face Masks Was Never ‘Evidence Based’

During testimony at the UK government’s COVID inquiry this week, England’s former deputy chief medical officer at the height of the pandemic admitted that there was never any proof that face masks were effective in slowing or preventing the spread of the virus, and in all likelihood made the problem worse.

Professor Dame Jenny Harries, now the head of the UK Health Security Agency, explained that the policy wasn’t based on scientific reality and had the effect of instilling a “false sense of security,” convincing people that they would reduce their risk of becoming infected if they wore a mask.

She also told the inquiry that government advice on how to make a mask out of bits of cloth and old t-shirts was wholly “ineffective”.

Germany, We Have a Problem! Mass Market Tabloid That Welcomed Angela Merkel’s Decision to Let in a Million Migrants Sounds a Startling Warning

Editors at Europe’s best-selling tabloid proudly boast of feeling the emotions of their readers and listening to their hearts.

When 1.1 million migrants arrived in Germany in 2015, Bild Zeitung launched a ‘welcome’ campaign, echoing the sentiments of then-Chancellor Angela Merkel, who had unilaterally opened the country’s borders to Syrians fleeing civil war in their homeland.

The German people answered the call. They hung bunting on lampposts, waved balloons, offered food parcels and put up campbeds for the newcomers in sports halls, churches — and even in their own homes.

Which makes the new campaign by Germany’s favourite paper, known to everyone simply as Bild, quite extraordinary.

Under the front-page headline ‘Germany, we have a problem!’, it has published a highly controversial 50-point manifesto telling migrants how to behave as the country experiences a national culture clash.

US Border Officials Are Closing a Remote Arizona Crossing Because of Overwhelming Migrant Arrivals
