Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., who is challenging President Biden in the Democratic presidential primary, argued that “Bidenomics” wasn’t working and said it represented inflation and “high prices.”

“Bidenomics is not working. It is actually the opposite. It represents inflation, high prices,” he said. CNN’s Dana Bash aired a small portion of the interview on Sunday during “State of the Union.”

Toy Orders, Parka Sales Illustrate Why Canada’s Economy is Stalling

Canadian companies are painting a stark picture of a consumer who’s pulling back on spending, as rising debt payments and inflation force households to change their behaviour.

From big-box retailers to toy marketers to coat manufacturers, recent corporate earnings results and executives’ comments underscore how quickly the economic temperature is changing after two years of robust growth.

Canadians have the highest household debt levels among Group of Seven countries, and they feel the pinch of higher rates sooner than U.S. consumers because their mortgage terms tend to be shorter. More than a third of mortgage borrowers have seen their payments increase since February 2022, according to central bank data.

10 Freeway Fire Set With ‘Malice Intent’, Newsom Says

A massive fire beneath one of the most vital traffic arteries in downtown Los Angeles is believed to have been intentionally set, officials said during a Monday news conference.

At 3:30 p.m. Monday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass participated in a press conference to discuss the blaze that has crippled the downtown commute for hundreds of thousands of Angelenos.

Newsom began the press conference by describing the fire as being set with “malice intent,” saying the fire burned within the fence line and appeared to be an act of arson.

30 Horses Killed in Tioga Downs Arson Fire Laid to Rest

A burial service has been held for the dozens of racehorses killed in a fire that tore through a barn at Tioga Downs in Nichols.

State police investigators said Thursday morning’s blaze in a horse stable was a case of arson.

According to a Tioga Downs news release, 30 horses died in the fire. A private burial for the horses was held in what was described as a simple service.

The horses were buried together adjacent to where the barn had stood. The racetrack’s statement said the burial was done “with approval from authorities.”

Biden Rips ‘Prick’ Ex-Obama Guru David Axelrod as 2024 Tensions Grow: Report

President Biden has disparaged veteran Democratic political strategist David Axelrod as a “prick” for questioning whether the commander-in-chief should seek a second term — as a spate of polling shows the incumbent losing next year to former President Donald Trump.

The 80-year-old Biden’s hot temper and penchant for profanity are open secrets in Washington, and his disparagement of Axelrod — as reported Monday by Politico columnist Jonathan Martin — is the latest sign of strife between Biden loyalists and veterans of the Barack Obama administration.

Black Voters Abandon Biden for 2024: ‘He’s a Weak Old Man’

Democrats are scrambling after a bombshell new report has revealed that black voters are overwhelmingly abandoning President Joe Biden ahead of the 2024 election.

A new report from The Wall Street Journal claims that the historic shift is leaving Democrat strategists “extremely concerned” about Biden’s chances of re-election.

Earlier this month, a New York Times/Siena College poll raised alarm bells for Democrats after it found that President Donald Trump had reached an unprecedented level of support from black voters in battleground states that Biden won in 2020.

California 8th Grader Suspended Over ‘Blackface’ Allegations After He Wore Face Paint to High School Football Game

A boy was suspended from his California middle school after allegedly wearing blackface to a local high school football game. The only problem is that it’s more than likely the face paint was eye paint—the same kind major league players wear on game day. He was suspended and barred from all future athletic events.

The eighth-grade boy had blackface paint under his eyes and on his cheeks when he attended the October 13 game between La Jolla High and Morse High. His attendance was documented with photographs, and only a week later, the principal at his Muirland Middle School called parents and students in for a meeting. The result was that the boy was suspended for two days and prohibited from attending all future sporting events. The middle school has made its Instagram private.

Chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Bill Gates Complains About “Misinformation, “ Wants Big Tech Crackdown

The “media trouble” of how to best “present” (not necessarily facts, but narratives) regarding the “big” US elections frenzy (namely that to elect a president to front a fairly consistent policy that may, or may not ever change) are now hitting individual states.

Not to discourage anyone from following the goings-on relevant to the issue — but there are “at least” 50 such states. In other words, a skeptic might say that you can expect a lot of campaigning disguised as proper journalism, heightened rhetoric, and just some plain nonsense.

But, how in the world Bill Gates — an ominous billionaire presence by any other standard, but who somehow manages to maintain his image of a “good guy” at least in the legacy media narratives all these decades, crops up here in the “flyover states” must be a mystery.

That’s because — in this case, “the Bill” has a namesake — Bill Gates, representing District 3 on the Board of Supervisors, Maricopa County, Arizona.

The Delaware Democrat was apparently riding in the quiet car of the locomotive when Grayzone reporter Aaron Mate, who was seated across from Coons, apologized for putting him “on the spot” and demanded to know why the senator hasn’t called for a “cease-fire in Gaza.”

“Who are you?” a confused-looking Coons asks the reporter, who filmed their interaction.

First Photos Emerge of Cocaine Found at the White House — But We Still Don’t Know Who it Belonged to

Photos have emerged of cocaine that was found last summer at the White House — before the Secret Service executed a quick investigation into the matter without arresting a suspect.

A small baggy containing roughly one gram of the white, powdery substance is visible in locker no. 50 near the White House’s West Executive entrance, according to photos the Daily Mail received after filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the protective agency.

The Secret Service concluded its probe just 11 days after the cocaine was discovered by an agent sweeping the West Wing on the night of Sunday, July 2, forcing a brief evacuation and a response by a Hazmat team before the substance could be identified.

Georgia Case Arguing Use of Electronic Voting Violated Voters’ Rights, Opened Election to Vulnerabilities, Heads to Trial in 2024

A federal judge in Georgia has set a trial date for the case on whether the state’s voting machines are prone to cybersecurity issues. The plaintiffs argue that the machines could impact voters’ ability to effectively cast their ballots. This would be in violation of the United States Constitution.

US District Court Judge Amy Totenberg set the bench trial date for Jan. 9, 2024. The lawsuit was filed by the Coalition for Good Governance, which is an election integrity advocacy group, and several individual voters. The plaintiffs are requesting the use of hand-marked paper ballots in place of electronic voting machines on grounds that the machines, which are made by Dominion, are susceptible to cybersecurity issues, according to Newsmax.

The plaintiffs hoped to come up with a resolution without the need for a trial, but Judge Totenberg issued a ruling on Friday and said: “The Court cannot wave a magic wand, in this case, to address the varied challenges to our democracy and election system in recent years, including those presented in this case. But reasonable, timely discussion and compromise in this case, coupled with prompt, informed legislative action, might certainly make a difference that benefits the parties and the public.”

Vivek Ramaswamy Vows to Fire Federal Workers Based on Social Security Numbers: ‘Nothing Will Break’

“That downsizes government by half. Absolutely *nothing* will break as a result,” Ramaswamy claimed.

The 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur argued that the plan would not violate civil service rules “because mass layoffs are exempt” and would prevent government employees from claiming their firings were politically motivated.

Delegate Leah McInnes, a Saskatchewan nurse, had a grievance filed against her by a colleague on September 26, 2021, after her social media posts spoke out against the compulsion for COVID-19 vaccines. Despite advocating their usage, she expressed strong resistance to the imposition of medical measures.

Between August and October 2021, McInnes publicly criticized the government’s pandemic strategy via social media, triggering an investigation by Saskatchewan’s College of Registered Nurses (CRNS) into her nonworking hours advocacy. She was accused by the governing body of propagating “misinformation” through expressing differing opinions, such as her promise to campaign for the removal of “unjustly excessive mandates” and the violation of individuals’ medical record privacy.

Italy: 440-Pound Man Convicted of Slaughtering Girlfriend Over Breadcrumbs in Bed Freed Due to Prison’s Poor Diet

A 440-pound Italian man convicted of viciously knifing his girlfriend to death during an argument over breadcrumbs in bed has been freed from prison after serving only a year due to a court ruling that the high-calorie diet served in the facility could kill him.

Dimitri Fricano, 35, from Biella, Italy, brutally slaughtered 25-year-old Erika Preti while the pair were vacationing in Sardinia in 2017, stabbing the woman 57 times after she chided him for leaving too many crumbs in their hotel room bed.

Fricano tipped the scales at 260 pounds in 2019 when he was sentenced to 30 years on a murder conviction — but because of delays caused by COVID, he did not begin serving his term until April 2022.

Over the past year, the inmate’s weight had ballooned to more than 440 pounds, leading the Turin Surveillance Court to release Fricano from prison on medical grounds.

Now, it is providing refuge to some 250 people, including 100 children, most of whom fled from Israel in the weeks following the October 7th attack.

UK: Ministers Consider Making it Easier to Ban Protests

London’s Metropolitan Police refused to bow down to government pressure to ban the weekend’s pro-Palestine protests. But advisors are now telling the government to change the law so the threshold for stopping such demonstrations before they’ve had a chance to begin can be much lower.

By all official accounts, the Armistice Day protest, in which up to 300,000 people reportedly took part, was for the most part peaceful, with the exception of a very few counter-demonstrators.

That’s not to say that the message of many ‘for Palestine’ marchers was peaceful. Many of the messages were chilling and hateful. Some wore headbands understood to imitate those worn by Hamas terrorists, while others chanted that “Muhammad’s army will return” and bring “death to all the Jews.”

Despite the minimal physical violence on Saturday, the slogans and messages prompted officials to consider changes to protest-banning laws.

Hamas has been using hospitals and civilians as human shields since the very beginning of its attack on Israel more than one month ago. Such behavior is the terrorist organization’s modus operandi. The Gates of Gaza

by Daniel Greenfield

In 1954, on the Jewish holiday of Purim, a bus carrying passengers from the Red Sea beach town of Eilat entered Scorpions Pass.

A decade before there was any ‘Palestinian’ cause, Muslim terrorists ambushed the bus. Ephraim Fuerstenberg, the driver, was shot dead, and his wife Hannah was taken out and raped and murdered. Men had thrown themselves in their dying moments on his two children to hide them. But his 9-year-old boy, Haim, raised his head to call for his sister, the Jihadist lifted up the body on top of him and shot him in the head, he would lie in a coma for 32 years before finally passing away. His sister Miri, who wrote the story in her book, ‘The Girl From Scorpions Pass’, survived only by hiding under the man who had thrown his body on top of hers to save her life.

The PLO would not be founded until 1964. An account in Time Magazine made no mention of ‘Palestinians’ because no such people had been invented yet. The West Bank and Gaza, the territories at the heart of the two-state solution and the ‘Palestinian’ cause, had been seized by Jordan and Egypt, and were being used as the bases from which the Islamic terrorists operated.

Nor had Islamic terrorism entered the popular jargon. These Jihadis were known as the ‘Fedayeen’ or those who die for Allah. Their style of attacks closely resembled those perpetrated by Hamas on Oct 7. And the Israelis had no high tech, no border wall and not nearly enough manpower to come to grips with the constant Islamic Jihadist raids across the border…

An individual close to Zelensky’s office reasoned that Trump, as the de facto 2024 presidential nominee for the Republican Party, effectively controls the flow of foreign aid to Ukraine, since Republicans hold the majority in the House of Representatives and the House has been responsible for blocking the White House’s efforts to continue funding the Ukrainian conflict.

Reports of Russian Pullback in Ukraine: A Skirmish in the Information War

TALLINN, Estonia — The reports from Russian state news agencies that Moscow’s troops were relocating from the Dnieper River in Ukraine appeared to be a major development Monday — for about 10 minutes, until the usually authoritative media withdrew the news.

The next hours saw a flurry of claims from both Russia and Ukraine that each opposing side had faked the reports. The incident was a striking skirmish in the information war that hovers around the actual battlefields.

Although the reports that the Defense Ministry had announced troop relocations, and their subsequent rapid reversal, did not appear to have any immediate effect on the fighting, the incident raised significant questions. Were agencies that are primary sources of information about the war duped; did Russian authorities inattentively release information that wasn’t meant to be known publicly?
