Bank of Italy Governor Points to Investor Concerns Over Italy’s Long-Term Economic Growth

Concerns surrounding Italy’s long-term economic growth potential are evident, as reflected in the recent surge in Rome’s borrowing costs. Investors seem to be anticipating a blend of stagnant growth coupled with escalating debt, shared Ignazio Visco, the departing Governor of the Bank of Italy, in an interview with the Financial Times.

Visco emphasized the need to comprehend the market’s apprehensions. “It’s not about speculating against Italy. The concerns predominantly revolve around the future growth trajectory of our economy,” he stated.

When Caroline Ellison, a mousy brown-haired girl with big glasses, takes the stand against Sam Bankman-Fried next week, the defense will likely try and blame her, at least partially, for the dramatic implosion of FTX.

Just eight years ago, Ellison first crossed paths with Bankman-Fried while he was working at the Manhattan trading firm Jane Street Capital and she was an intern.

Doctor Persecuted for “Misinformation” Wins Appeal

Subverting the tightening noose of censorship, the judicial system has risen, this time at least, as a defender of free expression and professional discourse in Washington State. The Court of Appeals has recently extended a lifeline to Dr. Richard Eggleston, a retired ophthalmologist, in his battle against the Washington Medical Commission’s (WMC) accusations of spreading “misinformation” about COVID-19. This pivotal ruling not only resonates as a triumph for Dr. Eggleston but also echoes across the medical community, bolstering the principle that the crucible of critical discourse should not be chilled by punitive actions.

Florida Man Arrested With Detailed Plans to ‘Kill Everyone’ at His Former High School

A South Florida man was arrested after police found handwritten threats in his car outlining plans to “kill everyone” at his former high school and others across multiple states on his 22nd birthday.

Henry Horton IV, 19, was pulled over in Jupiter on Sept. 27 for a broken headlight when a search of the vehicle uncovered the alleged plans, WBPF reports.

One of the notes read, “kill everyone at OHS with my guns.” Horton allegedly confessed that it referred to Okeechobee High School, where he graduated in May 2022, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Police said the notes ultimately outlined a plan for Horton to kill an administrator at the school, along with 14 others on the campus on January 2, 2026, the day he turns 22.

837 Canadians ‘De-Banked’ Since 2018, Including Hundreds of Freedom Convoy Supporters

Over 800 Canadians have been “de-banked” since 2018, including hundreds of Freedom Convoy supporters.

According to figures obtained through an access-to-information request, Blacklock’s Reporter learned of 837 residents whose respective banks closed their accounts over the past half-decade.

The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada said it only knew of those closures through complaints filed with regulators. While the agency did not explain the closures, the figures said it excluded substantiated terrorism and money laundering.

But among those complaints are 267 bank accounts and 170 bitcoin wallets from Freedom Convoy supporters, with an estimated $7.8 million in holdings.

Canadians Cannot Sue U.S. Over Alleged MK-ULTRA ‘Mind-Control Experiments,’ Claims Québec Judge

A bizarre class-action lawsuit against the U.S. government may not proceed after the Québec Court of Appeal said the country cannot be sued in Canada for its alleged role in brainwashing psychiatric patients.

The lawsuit — which has not been authorized by a judge — claims Dr. Donald Ewen Cameron performed unlawful experiments at the Allan Memorial Institute between 1948 and 1964 as part of the CIA’s MK-ULTRA program on covert mind-control.

The program allegedly received joint funding from the Canadian government and the CIA during that period for experiments at the Institute in conjunction with McGill University.

But a 3-0 decision rendered on October 2 contends a 1982 Canadian law on suing foreign states cannot be used retroactively.

Massive Turnout for Dr. James Lindsay Event in Calgary Sends Cancel Culture Packing

Dr. James Lindsay has been at the centre of a cancel culture firestorm here in Alberta these last few weeks. He is perhaps best known for publishing hoax papers, with titles like “The Conceptual Penis as a Societal Construct,” in academic peer reviewed journals that, to put it politely, call into question the credibility of the Marxist totalitarian mindset that has overrun academic institutions the world over.

A few weeks back, we spoke with the founder of Take Back Alberta, David Parker, who is hosting Edmonton and Calgary events featuring Dr. Lindsay. He shared that two venues and Eventbrite had already bailed on hosting the event due to “community pressure”.

Despite those venue cancellations, not to mention a few more since then, and despite the continued efforts to stop this event, David Parker and Dr. James Lindsay, who quipped that the event would happen even if it had to be in a Denny’s parking lot, managed to secure Calgary and Edmonton venues that did not cave to the pressure of the cancel culture mob.

Much like the 1971 Ford Pinto and the RMS Titanic, perhaps inviting Yaroslav Hunka into the House of Commons looked good on paper. Alas, in reality, it was an utter disaster.

The 98-year-old Hunka is the ex-Nazi SS soldier who was given a standing ovation in the House by history-challenged members of Parliament (which is to say, if one was taking up arms against Russian soldiers prior to May 8, 1945 — which Hunka did — then one is fighting AGAINST the Allied forces.)

Belgium: “We Are on the Right Path and Things Are Changing for the Better”: An Interview With Filip Dewinter

Having been at the vanguard of dissident politics in Europe for three decades, Dewinter has, inevitably, made power enemies on all sides. Globalist politicians and regime journalists have repeatedly endeavored to drag his name through the mud, while neo-Nazis and Islamic extremists have plotted—and in some cases actually attempted—to take his life.

This week, Mr. Dewinter sat down with The European Conservative to discuss his lengthy political career, the ideological foundation of his party Vlaams Belang, and the failure of populism, among other things.

Germany: Bavarian Election Exit Polls: AfD Makes Massive Gains as Support for Liberal-Globalist Coalition Remains Low

Against a backdrop of out-of-control inflation, a precipitous decline in living standards, deindustrialization, and a migrant invasion facilitated by the left-liberal globalist government, exit polls from Bavaria’s state elections today have revealed that the national-conservative Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party made gains significantly larger compared to any other party. It is the best result AfD has had in Bavaria and in any state that was formerly a part of West Germany.

At the same time, support for the center-right CSU, which has done little to stem mass migration over thee years, remained static at around 36.7%, while the parties making up the so-called ‘traffic light’ coalition collectively garnered a mere 38%.

The Free Voters are projected to achieve 15.3% in the election, marking their best performance to date. It appears that the party has gained recognition within the government. In 2018, the Free Voters secured 11.6 percent of the vote. Chairman Hubert Aiwanger likely played a significant role in this success, as he enjoys popularity similar to that of Prime Minister Söder in surveys. The controversy surrounding an anti-Semitic leaflet from his school days doesn’t appear to have negatively impacted his standing. Most of his supporters believe that he was not the author of the leaflet.

The AfD’s success comes after its co-leader Tino Chrupalla was hospitalized after being injected with an unknown substance at a Bavarian campaign rally days day, and after its other co-leader Alice Weidel, along with her family, had to be moved to a safe house after death threats.

Recently, Andreas Jurca, a local Bavarian AfD leader, was beaten to a pulp after an immigrant gang spotted him on the street.

UK: Drunk Man Arrested With Axe Down Trousers ‘Had No Idea Where it Came From’

Pawel Petak, 41, admitted having a blade in public

A drunk man seen putting an axe down his trousers was arrested at a bus stop but claimed he didn’t know where the weapon had come from. Death Toll From Hamas Onslaught Passes 700, Over 100 Kidnapped, as Israel Strikes Gaza

Over 2,200 wounded, relatives of missing issue impassioned pleas for help; IDF still working to clear terrorists from Israeli communities, over 36 hours after assault beganIsrael formally declared a state of war on Sunday as the death toll from an unprecedented Hamas attack a day earlier rose above 700 and was expected to rise further, with the fate of over a hundred people abducted and taken to the Gaza Strip still unclear.

Israeli jets carried out “intense” airstrikes on targets in Gaza on Sunday afternoon, shortly after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced that the security cabinet had voted Saturday evening to put the country officially at war, meaning it can carry out “significant military activities.”

Battles were ongoing Sunday in at least three communities near the Gaza border overrun by Hamas gunmen a day earlier, and rocket fire continued to dog Israeli communities, as Israel girded for what was expected to be a prolonged campaign against the Gaza-based terror group.

Eyewitness Account of the Rave Massacre

Scenes of young women raped next to the dead bodies of their friends

I’ve spent the last 12 hours speaking to Israelis who were at the Supernova music festival. Their testimonies, as you would imagine, are very emotional. At least one broke down mid-conversation and wasn’t able to continue his recollection.

The attack on the festival outside of Re’im began around 7 a.m. The party was at its peak by then—which meant that by then most people were inebriated. At first, partygoers heard a loud explosion, which they took to be another sporadic rocket attack on southern Israel. But then the explosions grew louder and constant, and kept going for about five minutes. The music stopped, and the police protecting the 4,000 or 5,000 ravers began pushing everyone to leave.

By then, the terrorists were approaching in pickup trucks bearing Hamas military markings.

Shooting began. Many were executed on the spot. 260 bodies have been found, so far, on the site of the rave.

Many of the young men and women started running in the flat expanse of the western Negev desert. Faced with the spectacle of kids fleeing for their lives on a largely flat surface, the terrorists began rounding up the rest of their victims.

The 22-second-long video posted on Sunday by the militant group to social media shows several launch sites of improvised kamikaze drones hiding in the resident building and storage facilities.

The Izzedine al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, claimed on Sunday that they launched more than 25 kamikaze drones, including Al-Zawari wing-type, that destroyed Israeli targets, including vehicles and equipment.

Israel’s UN Ambassador Calls Hamas Surprise Attack ‘Our 9/11’ and Says Terrorists Took Babies Hostage in Assault Which Has Left More Than 300 Dead and 1,500 Injured So Far

The unprecedented surprise attack Hamas is carrying out against Israel is comparable to the terror attacks on America on September 11, 2001, Israel’s ambassador to the UN has argued.

‘This is our 9/11,’ Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan said in an appearance on Fox News Saturday. ‘Babies, women, the elderly were dragged outside of their homes, were taken hostage.’

‘These animals will pay a heavy price and they will learn that these atrocities cannot be committed again against our civilians,’ he said.

Published reports from Israel indicate more than 300 Israelis have been killed, and 1,590 injured, since Hamas launched its blitz attack with rockets and gangs of roving gunmen, attacking civilians and soldiers alike across dozens of locations.

Running gun battles continued on the streets of Israel early on Sunday, some 24 hours after the assault began.

Iran Helped Plan Devastating Hamas Attack on Israel, Gave Green Light Last Week After Months of Preparation: Report

Iranian security officials helped the Palestinina terror group Hamas plan its Saturday sneak attack on Israel — and gave the final go-ahead at a meeting last Monday in Beirut, an explosive new report says.

Officers from Iran’s infamous Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had been working with the Gaza Strip-based terrorist organization since August to plan the Oct. 7 attack, which sent thousands of rockets and groups of armed gunmen over the fortified Israeli border, killing more than 700, the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.

The attack was the most serious breach of the Jewish state since the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

Iranian officers — as well as reps from Iran-backed militant groups including Hamas and Lebanon’s Hezbollah — refined tactical and strategic plans for the assault during several meetings in Beirut, according to the Journal, which cited senior members of both terrorist groups.

UAE Sides With Israel, Condemns Hamas for ‘Nihilistic Destruction’

The UAE is one of the world’s wealthiest and most influential explicitly Islamic governments. Abu Dhabi’s condemnation of Hamas and extension of condolences to the majority-Jewish victims of the Hamas rapes, abductions, and massacres on Saturday is a dramatic contrast in tone from neighboring Iran — where the regime threw a street party to celebrate the killings, complete with a fireworks display — and the eruption of pro-Hamas rallies and celebrations around the world, including in the United States.

Russia ‘Baits’ Ukraine to Attack Its New Black Sea Fleet HQ to Justify Retaliatory Strike on NATO Assets: OPED

Russia withdrawing its warships from Sevastopol in Crimea to Novorossiysk in the face of consistent Ukrainian strikes is a relocation that does not change its active maritime posturing in the Black Sea.

Russia may have moved its Black Sea Fleet away from Crimea to check if NATO’s intelligence-surveillance-reconnaissance (ISR), electronic warfare (EW) planes, and drones continue to aid Ukrainian forces in attacking Russian warships at Novorossiysk.

A NATO-backed Ukrainian attack at Novorossiysk, an internationally recognized Russian territory, legitimizes Russia’s shooting down NATO planes flying over western Ukraine and eastern Poland, setting the stage for World War III.

A Russian strike on NATO assets or territory activates the Charter’s Article 5, where an attack on one member is considered an attack on the entire bloc. It legally mandates all member-states to rush to the attacked member’s aid.

Russian strategists have, therefore, long debated how shooting down these US and NATO aircraft would permanently deter West-supported Ukrainian strikes but also put Moscow on a warpath with the West.

Tesla’s Safety Feature Confuses Thai Songthaew Passengers With Pedestrians, Causing Hilarity Amongst Netizens

A Japanese YouTuber driving a Tesla in Thailand found himself perplexed when the car repeatedly warned him of pedestrians crossing in front. However, upon looking up, he saw nothing.

The Japanese YouTuber, known for creating content about Thailand, shared this amusing incident in a video posted on his Twitter account, X: @JGSDF_YTS_X7. 10 thoughts on “Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/8/2023

  1. Columbus Day will become as toxic as our Australia Day. Columbus will be vilified as much as Captain Cook.
    Just watch.

  2. Details have emerged of an Islamist attack on a music festival near Gaza. Everyone has probably seen these videos and photos.
I read Russian Islamist channels. They approve of what happened. They also show the statue of Buddha that stood at this festival, under which it is written that the victims themselves provoked the Muslims with this “shirk”.
100 years ago they wrote strange novels. Such as “The Time Machine” by Wells or “Aelita” by Alexei Tolstoy.
The video of the festival destruction reminded me of them.
A scene worthy of an apocalyptic plot.

  3. “The young woman whose half-naked corpse was displayed and desecrated by Hamas militants in Gaza has been identified as a German citizen who came to Israel to attend the “peace” music rave in the Negev desert, where 260 people were reportedly killed.”

History keeps repeating itself BECAUSE only the names and dates change.

“Far too much time, energy and blood has been expended in the Middle east. It’s time to take decisive action. We need to take out the terror regimes in Iran, Iraq and Syria. Then say to the Palestinians: “You have two choices: You can live as civilized citizens or you can be next.”” (Nov 2002)

    • fredthreethreethree: They’ll choose “you can be next” and then demand a ceasefire.

      • “They’ll choose “you can be next” and then demand a ceasefire.”

Yes, that’s pretty much been the pattern. But I think the Mohammadanists’ve finally over-played their hand. As long as the Israelis don’t allow the Obamericans to infringe on their right to bear arms against their enemies, a “ceasefire” shouldn’t interrupt this party.

    • Those effing muzzy savages will NEVER EVER be peaceful or civilized, they must be eliminated to the last one in order for them to be peaceful.
