Polish National Bank Slashes Interest Rates as Inflation Slows
Poland’s central bank lowered its key interest rate Wednesday, pointing to a drop in inflation despite a still-high rate of 8.2% last month, raising concerns about the cut being a political move.
The National Bank of Poland cut its benchmark rate a quarter of a percentage point to 5.75%. Analysts were expecting it after annual inflation dropped last month from 10.1% in August. Inflation was over 18% earlier this year.
It was the second rate cut since Sept. 9, when the central bank surprisingly slashed rates by three-quarters of a point.

Surging Housing Costs in Czech Republic: Larger Payouts for Smaller Homes
The skyrocketing costs of homeownership in the Czech Republic mean residents are paying significantly more for smaller living spaces. As of this year, only 20% of Czechs feel confident about purchasing a home, a marked decrease when compared to potential buyers half a decade ago, according to Seznam Zpravy.
Factors like high inflation and rising energy costs have complicated homeownership for a majority of Czechs in the past year with over 50% feeling the pinch. Current data reveals persistent concerns among residents: approximately one-third are wary of spiraling energy costs and about one-fourth fear the continued impacts of inflation.

A group of roughly 45 kids routinely ransack a CVS in Washington, D.C., with many thieves taking the food and beverages and stomping on them, according to a Fox 5 report.
“When you walk into this CVS, you’d think the store is closing because there’s barely anything on the shelves,” Fox 5 reporter Sierra Fox said of a CVS in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of D.C. “In fact, the only items in stock are the ones that are locked up. I did ask an employee what gets stolen the most, and they just laughed and said ‘everything.’“
“A big group of kids, like 45 or more, walk in before school, after school and late at night to steal chips and drinks,” Fox 5 reported Tuesday. “They even throw the food and beverages on the ground and stomp on them, leaving behind a big mess.”

BOCA RATON, Fla. — A celebrity chef, who has appeared on television cooking shows nationwide, has been arrested after a wild road rage incident.
Boca Raton Police say Ralph Pagano, 55, attacked another driver with a baseball bat.
According to the arrest affidavit, officers responded after a 911 call in March.
A man says he was driving his son to school on Jog Road, when he was cut off by a black Tesla.
The driver said he slammed on the brakes and honked his horn at the Tesla.
The victim says the driver of the Tesla then stopped in traffic and began yelling at him.
He says he then “flipped off” the driver of the Tesla.
Moments later, the victim said the driver of the Tesla stuck a baseball bat through his open passenger window, and shouted “I’ll kill you!”
The victim said the bat nearly hit him in the head, and hit his juvenile child in the head.
The driver of the Tesla then took off.
The child was not hurt.
A witness told officers that he saw the Tesla cut off the victim’s car, and that the “driver of the Tesla emerged from his vehicle wielding a baseball bat. The driver of the Tesla then shoved the baseball bat through the open front passenger window of the vehicle.”
The witness went on to say that he “fully believed that the Tesla driver was actually attempting to hurt the victim.”

EU Plans Ukraine Accession by 2030
President of the European Council Charles Michel has set out a very optimistic timeline for Ukraine to join the European Union. As the war rages on with no end in sight, and with about one-fifth of the country under Russian control, Michel told German publication Der Spiegel, that Ukraine could become a full member of the EU by 2030.
“Ukraine may indeed become a member of the EU in 2030 if both sides do their homework,” Michel said. He added that Ukraine and other EU candidate countries must carry out “reforms, fight corruption and comply with legal conditions.” In another interview with Portuguese news agency Lusa, Michel said EU leaders should give the green light to opening formal accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova at the December European summit. The two countries were granted EU candidate status at the summit of EU leaders last June, with observers noting that the decision was more symbolic than realistic, signalling the bloc’s intention to reach deep into the former Soviet Union.

The source stated that by 2027, there are only plans to establish the “foundation for a real, not conceptual discussion.” This timeframe also marks the beginning of the next EU financial cycle, necessitating the approval of a new budget by that time.
Preliminary calculations have shown that the EU expansion by including nine new countries, including Ukraine, will cost existing EU members more than 256 billion euros.

UK Plans to Use Passport Photo Database for Criminal Facial Recognition Checks
The British government has rolled out an unprecedented edict, compelling police to cross-reference with facial recognition technology closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of all thefts with governmental photographic databases such as that used for passports.
This approach—described by Police Minister Chris Philp as “game-changing”— intends to systematically resolve theft cases by deploying advanced facial recognition technology. Philp’s order, however, is raising strenuous objections from privacy advocates, triggering a larger dialogue about our emerging surveillance culture.

UK Prime Minister Aims to Raise Smoking Age by a Year Every Year
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak proposed a gradual ban on cigarettes on Wednesday that would prevent younger generations from ever buying the tobacco products, a measure that would make Britain one of the toughest anti-smoking countries in the world.
The law would annually increase the age of legal purchase of cigarettes from the current 18-year-old limit by one year every 12 months. If passed, the proposal would make the United Kingdom the first European country to ban the sale of cigarettes entirely to its young citizens.

UK: Critics Blast Tory’s “Gross Violation of British Privacy”
A new Tory plot is “Orwellian” and will fuel the “politics of division,” campaigners have warned.
As if lockdown wasn’t enough to erode the party’s claim to being the defender of liberty, Rishi Sunak’s government is now planning to build an unprecedented facial recognition database out of the passport photos of around 45 million British citizens. Crime and Policing Minister Chris Philp said at this week’s conference that this would be used to help officials find a match with CCTV and other footage at the “click of one button.”

Ukraine War Forces €75 Billion Bailout for EU Budget
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the potential economic fallout over a rift with China over the next decade have forced the EU to scale up its seven-year budget plans by €75 billion as MEPs queried whether taxpayers were getting value for money at a plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Tuesday, October 3rd.
MEPs backed a European People’s Party (EPP) proposal by 393 votes to 136 to increase the bloc’s Multiannual Financial Framework by €75 billion lasting until 2027, despite criticism from the Right that additional funds would be wasted and directed towards worsening Europe’s migration crisis.

Another Bloody Conflict in Europe Brews on Sidelines of Russia-Ukraine War
As the international community’s attention remains fixated on Russia’s ongoing conflict in Ukraine, another potential war in Europe is brewing as tensions between two longtime foes in the Balkans approach dangerous heights.
Last week, a Kosovo Albanian police sergeant and three heavily armed Serb attackers were killed in a deadly North Kosovo gun battle in which at least one leading Serbian politician acknowledged he took part. Days later, the United States issued a stark warning over the weekend in response to Serbian military movements observed near the country’s de facto border with mostly ethnically Albanian and religiously Muslim Kosovo, whose independence from majority-Serb and Christian Serbia is disputed among members of the international community.
While a number of Serbian troops have reportedly been recalled from the frontier and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuvic has declared he “does not want a war,” envoys on both sides of the long-running rivalry have expressed to Newsweek the potential for further escalation if underlying tensions are not addressed.

The Russian Propaganda Gap: Why Rural Areas Support the War
The majority of countries all across the globe have condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. But according to statistics in Russia, three quarters of Russians expressed trust in President Vladimir Putin. In January 2019, the share was 59%, but in June 2023, it stood at 78%. Even if these figures may indicate a fear of answering the pollster truthfully, it seems that a considerable share of the Russian population trusts the Russian president and, apparently by extension, the war he is waging in Ukraine.
But support is not equally distributed across the country. The independent Levada Center found that a higher percentage of people in small towns support the war than in Moscow — almost half (40%) of the rural population support it, while only a quarter (26%) of Moscow residents expressed support.
Why is support so much higher in more rural areas? The answer is, in part, the nature of propaganda and sources of information, as well as the pressure of poor living conditions.

Thierry Bode Accuses US Military-Industrial Complex of Fueling War in Ukraine
The leader of the “Forum for Democracy” party, Thierry Bode, claims that the only interested party in the continuation of the armed conflict in Ukraine is the US military-industrial complex.
He believes that neither Russian President Vladimir Putin nor Ukraine wish to prolong the war, and the only entity pushing the idea of war is the American military-industrial complex. This raises questions about the motivations behind it; it might be foolishness, it might be malice, but according to Bode, it is necessary to end this situation.

Google Throws Its Support Behind Australia’s Online “Misinformation” Censorship
Google’s recent endorsement of the Australian government’s proposal to bolster the powers of the media watchdog, aimed at countering online “misinformation,” unfolds a narrative much larger than what meets the eye. The discourse transcended beyond its original intent during a Senate inquiry on Tuesday, which saw representatives from tech behemoths delve into the implications of amplifying the regulatory might of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
The draft legislation in the spotlight seeks to empower ACMA with an enforceable industry code of conduct to ensure digital platforms rigorously address misinformation and disinformation. While the legislation does not authorize the ACMA to remove content deemed inappropriate, it does allow the body to scrutinize the internal practices of platforms, paving the way for penalties should they deviate from the code.

Croatia Sees 140% Jump in Illegal Migration Since Joining Schengen
Croatia, the EU Schengen Area’s newest member, has witnessed a 140% uptick in illegal migration this year compared to last year when it was a non-Schengen member, the Head of the Border Police Directorate Zoran Niceno announced on Thursday, September 28th.
Speaking to the press, Niceno noted that over 54,500 migrants crossed the Croatian border illegally. “All of them sought asylum. That says a lot. This shows that smugglers and migrants know the European Union system well, that by giving fingerprints they know that there is little chance that they will be returned and they know that they have freedom of movement while they are in Croatia,” Niceno said, according to a report from the Croatian news portal Index.

Prof. Tomasz Grzegorz Grosse, a political scientist from the University of Warsaw, argues that for many Poles, the relocation of migrants simply transfers the issue from one country to another rather than addressing it. He suggests that a true solution would be to halt the influx of immigrants.
Grosse is referring to the EU’s New Pact on Migration and Asylum, which the EU is preparing to implement
According to Grosse, efforts by the European Union to integrate certain immigrants, especially radical Muslims, are likely to fail. With the high volume of migration, integration becomes especially challenging, and if immigrants establish their own neighborhoods, they often see no need to integrate.

Leftist MEPs Ridicule Migrant Gang Victims in Parliament
The European Parliament’s leftist majority continued to downplay the security risks brought by the mass influx of illegal migration during Wednesday’s key plenary debate on the Migration Pact in Strasbourg (October 4th), with some going as far as laughing when conservatives presented Europe’s worsening crime statistics.
Reaching an agreement on the EU’s flagship Asylum and Migration Pact is without doubt currently the highest priority on Brussels’ agenda as all institutions are racing to get it done in the next few months or risk losing grip of it altogether amid next year’s European elections.
But despite this urgency, Wednesday’s plenary debate on the Pact led nowhere as MEPs from both sides accused each other of using the crisis only for political gains amid pleas from the Commission to find common ground so that the EU can finalize the package by the end of the year.

‘Open Category’ for Transgender Swimmers Scrapped Due to Lack of Interest at World Cup in Germany

Straight White Males Need Not Apply in British Columbia
I guess white privilege isn’t what it used to be. It’s been replaced by open and blatant discrimination. In fact, if you own a small to medium-sized construction company in British Columbia, you can not only discriminate but you also get paid to do it.
The British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA) announced last week that there is still $4 million available for bonuses to companies that apply for its Apprenticeship Services project. This is an initiative that’s funded by the Canadian government under the Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy. The idea is to bring more apprentices into the thirty-nine Red Seal Trades. In Canada, a tradesperson who passes the Red Seal exam receives an endorsement. The Red Seal is proof that a tradesperson has met the national standard in their trade.
To incentivize this, a company that hires a first-year apprentice for one of these trades will receive a $5,000 bonus per employee. However, if the company hires someone who identifies as LGBTQ, female, disabled, or a person of color, the bonus increases to $10,000.

Why is Planned Parenthood Helping Teens Transition After Only a 30-Minute Consult?
Some day when Planned Parenthood passes away and goes before The Maker to be judged, they’ll have to answer for a lot of sins.

Now it’s come to light that Planned Parenthood has become one of the largest providers of gender transition services in the country. This, in itself, isn’t a crime. Gender transitioning has become a huge industry as the number of clinics has exploded across the country.
But the numerous clinics fall short of what’s needed to deal with the massive social phenomenon that transgenderism has become. And this is where Planned Parenthood has stepped in.

The white male, was handed a custodial sentence by a “court” in Lausanne on Monday after being convicted of defamation, discrimination, and incitement to hatred.
White females are openly gaming the system, and white males, with impunity, at this point in time.
