2-Out-of-3 Gen Z-ers Still Get Financial Help From Their Parents

A recent poll surveying 1,000 U.S. residents reveals that a sizable number haven’t ventured as far from home as they once imagined they would. Close to one-third remain in the town where they grew up, and astonishingly, 40% of that group still share a roof with their parents.

And the reason many haven’t left home seems to be clear: nearly 2 in 3 Gen Zers receive financial help from their parents. 29% of Americans still live in their home town, according to a newly released study and data aggregated by AllStar Home.

The median distance that U.S. residents reside from their birthplace is a mere 30 miles. Those who haven’t crossed state lines are, on average, just a 47-minute drive away from their original stomping grounds, the study found.

Biden Admin Bans Official Travel to Fossil Fuel Conferences, Leaked Memo Shows

A leaked internal memo has revealed that Democrat President Joe Biden’s White House has banned senior administration officials from attending conferences that promote the use of fossil fuels.

The guidance, which originated from the White House National Security Council (NSC), prohibits admin officials from traveling for international energy engagements that promote “carbon-intensive” fuels, including oil, natural gas, and coal.

The ban was revealed in a Department of Energy (DOE) memo issued internally to agency staff on September 15.

The memo, which was obtained by Fox News, was authored by Deputy Secretary of Energy David Turk.

Federal Court Rules Against ACLU, Lets South Carolina Continue Working With Faith-Based Foster Care Agencies

A federal court ruled in two cases Friday that religious foster agencies in South Carolina could remain open and continue their work partnering with the state to serve children in need.

The state of South Carolina works directly with families seeking to foster and adopt children in crisis situations and also partners with numerous private agencies that help find and support families for foster children in need of a safe place to live.

Lindsay Graham Suggests if Conservatives Want Border Security They Will Have to Support Funding for Ukraine

The root narrative around the next government funding bill is slowly taking shape and it is uglier than many people suspected — Neo-cons within the GOP are determined to oppose the majority of Americans and will continue funding the war in Ukraine, and they are planning on using the border security issue as leverage.

In a recent interview with CBS Face The Nation, Lindsay Graham suggested that any new government funding bill would require many billions more in Ukraine military aid well beyond the $24 billion already slated, and that if conservatives want funding for border security, they will have to submit to an ongoing proxy war in Ukraine. In other words, the plan is to hold conservatives and America hostage using the immigration crisis.

Philadelphia Journalist Who Mocked Concern Over Violent Crime in Democrat Cities Shot Dead in Home

A left-wing Philadelphia journalist who mocked concern over rising crime in Democrat-run cities was shot to death in his home.

Josh Kruger was shot seven times after someone entered his home, shot him at the base of his stairs, and then fled. Kruger ran outside seeking help from his neighbors and collapsed, where police found them after responding to call just before 1:30 a.m. on the 2300 block of Watkins Street.

Kruger, 39, was rushed to the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he died just before 2:15 a.m.

No arrests have been made, and there was no sign of forced entry into the home, according to Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore.

“Either the door was open, or the offender knew how to get the door open,” he said. “We just don’t know yet.”

Detectives believe his death may have been the result of a domestic dispute or may have been drug-related, according to three law enforcement sources with knowledge of the case. The sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation, said police investigators recovered troubling text messages between Kruger and a former partner. Investigators also recovered methamphetamine inside Kruger’s bedroom, the sources said. —Inquirer

In April, Kruger — who had struggled with addiction and homelessness — said that an ex-partner had broken into his home.

“The door was locked, so he had somehow obtained a copy of my keys,” he wrote.

Around two weeks ago, Kruger wrote on Facebook that someone came to his house looking for their boyfriend, calling themselves “Lady Diabla, the She-Devil of the streets.”

Kruger frequently mocked conservatives on X, ironically calling Dilbert creator Scott Adams “Nostradamus” on Saturday for predicting that people would be dead “within the year” of Biden’s election.

Reddit to Block Users From Opting Out of Personalized Ads

To amplify its advertising strategies, a popular virtual meeting place, Reddit, has made a big announcement: its users will no longer have the option to opt out of ad personalization based on their activity on the platform. This major revamp in its advertising, privacy, and location settings was revealed last Wednesday, with Jutta Williams, Reddit’s head of “privacy” leading the conversation.

From the perspective of the company, this move is constructive, offering them an opportunity to “better predict which ad may be most relevant” to each user. According to Williams, the fact that Reddit requires minimal personal information from its users makes this shift plausible. However, this perspective could be concerning from a privacy standpoint, as it potentially accelerates invasive data surveillance.

The USA vs. SBF: Jury Selection in Sam Bankman-Fried Trial to Begin Tuesday

Jury selection in the Sam Bankman-Fried trial begins on Tuesday this week, kicking off a trial that is expected to last about six weeks following the crypto firm’s historic $40 billion bankruptcy.

US prosecutors have labeled FTX “one of the biggest financial frauds in American history,” Financial Times noted in their trial preview this weekend. SBF stands accused not only to defrauding “dozens” of the world’s top investors, but also his millions of customers. The report also noted the trial will likely include “millions of pages of evidence” and testimony from SBF’s friends and romantic partners.

Prosecution is going to be tasked with trying to get seven different charges, including conspiracy to commit money laundering and fraud against lenders, investors and customers, to stick, the report notes. They will try to show that Bankman-Fried collaborated covertly to channel billions from FTX customers to his cryptocurrency trading company, Alameda Research.

Two Men Used Homemade Explosives to Create Large Craters Behind a Warrington Township Shopping Center, Police Say

Vladimir Nostachev and Vadim Pokusov were caught with the homemade explosives early Sunday, some of which left behind a two-foot wide crater, police said.

Two men were arrested in Warrington township after prosecutors say they used homemade explosives to blow a two-foot wide crater in a field behind a shopping center.

Vladimir Nostachev, 47, of Bustleton, and Vadim Pokusov, 40, of Warminster, have been charged with weapons of mass destruction, possession of explosive material, conspiracy, and related offenses. They are both being held in lieu of $1 million bail, court records show. There was no indication either man had hired an attorney.

The motive behind the explosions remained unclear Monday. Preliminary hearings for the two men have been scheduled for later this month.

Police first encountered Nostachev and Pokusov just before 4 a.m. Sunday, while responding to reports of fireworks going off near the Valley Square Shopping Center on Main Street, according to the affidavit of probable cause for their arrests.

While patrolling the area, one of the responding officers heard an explosion, he said. He heard a second explosion not long after, and drove toward the shopping center to investigate, the affidavit said.

As the officer approached the center, he saw a Lexus SUV backing up and turning around in the parking lot, and noticed a “large plume of smoke that extended as high as the trees” in a wooded area behind the building, the affidavit said. The officer sped up to pursue the vehicle, and smelled gun powder as he got closer to it.

Nostachev was driving the vehicle, with Pokusov in its passenger seat, according to the affidavit. During a search of the SUV, the officers noticed two homemade explosives, one the size of a soda bottle and the other similar in size and shape to a softball. The officers also found a plastic bag filled with what appeared to be bottle rockets.

The officers called in bomb disposal officers from Philadelphia to inspect and handle the devices. They later determined that the homemade explosives were made of cardboard and filled with magnesium powder, sometimes called flash powder, which is a highly volatile explosive.

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has just revealed new draconian regulations, requiring all digital platforms that transmit audio or visual content and meet a certain earnings benchmark to register with the government agency before the end of November.

This new set of rules symbolizes a further restriction on free speech and an encroachment on the principle of internet openness, turning the digital world into an area under government watch.

Under these newly released regulations, a myriad of online platforms — from streaming services to social media and even subscription-based television — will be brought under governmental umbrella if they meet a revenue threshold in Canada.

1 in 10 Prisons in England and Wales Should be Shut Down

In the same week as the Conservative Party is pushing ahead with its drive to look tough on crime, His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of prisons said 10% of these are not “fit for purpose.”

Charlie Taylor was particularly critical of around 14 English and Welsh prisons built in the Victorian era which, thanks to decades of mismanagement, are so overcrowded and ill-equipped that they cannot provide proper accommodation for inmates.

The Guardian was the first to report the story, and notes that slipping standards mean “thousands of prisoners were being held in vermin-infested buildings with too few staff and inadequate facilities for retraining and education.”

Fico Tasked With Forming New Slovak Government

Slovakian President Zuzana Caputova has handed Robert Fico a political mandate to start negotiations to form a new government. Caputova met the former prime minister on Monday, October 2nd, after his party clearly won the parliamentary elections held on Saturday.

According to the ruling party leader, the foreign and security policy pursued by the Tusk government was one of “neglect,” marked by cuts in military spending and plans that in the event of a Russian invasion, half of the country would be abandoned and only the parts to the west of the Vistula River would actually be defended. He called that “Tusk’s line of shame.”

UK: ULEZ Expansion Ignites Debates Over Air Quality and Personal Freedoms in London

The recent expansion of London’s Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) has sparked intense debate among Londoners and politicians alike. While the scheme is portrayed as an effort by Mayor Sadiq Khan to combat air pollution, critics argue it compromises civil liberties, writes Euronews.

Originally intended to alleviate pollution and congestion in London’s inner areas, ULEZ’s jurisdiction has now spread across the entire Greater London region, impacting roughly nine million residents. Within these zones, drivers of older petrol cars (pre-2006) and diesel vehicles (pre-2015) are subjected to a daily fee of £12.50.

Although Transport for London (TfL) reports that about 90% of vehicles are compliant with the ULEZ standards, the policy has garnered its fair share of criticism. Opponents feel it’s a restrictive measure, especially amidst the UK’s ongoing economic challenges. They argue it imposes undue financial burdens, even if TfL suggests financial assistance is available for those with non-compliant vehicles.

Prominent right-wing figures have criticized Khan, a Labour mayor, for the policy. However, many seem to either forget or intentionally ignore that the initiative was first introduced in 2015 by Boris Johnson, then the London mayor and future prime minister.

Caroline Glick: What Iran’s Penetration of Washington Means

There is something terribly disturbing about the current state of Washington’s foreign-policy establishment.

Tuesday we were hit with the blockbuster reports by Semafor and Iran International exposing the depth of Iran’s infiltration of the U.S. foreign-policy establishment and the Biden administration. The two simultaneously published reports revealed how beginning in 2014, Iran’s Foreign Ministry established a circle of agents in Washington and Europe, which it referred to as the Iran Experts Initiative (IEI). Members of IEI were comprised of Iranian emigres sympathetic to the regime and its nuclear-weapons program.

The experts were seeded in think tanks. The Iranian Foreign Ministry flew them to strategy sessions in various cities in Europe. The experts published a steady stream of articles supporting Iran, justifying its nuclear activities; sponsorship of terrorism; denial of civil and human rights to Iran’s citizenry; and misogyny; among other things.

The experts routinely submitted their drafts to the Iranian Foreign Ministry for comment before publication and generally sought guidance from Iran’s Foreign Ministry in relation to various pro-Iran activities, including providing sympathetic testimony before Congress.

Among a core group of a dozen IEI members, three were close advisers to Robert Malley, U.S. President Joe Biden’s now-suspended Iran negotiations envoy. Malley was suspended from his position in June after his security clearance was suspended. He is under FBI investigation apparently related to allegations that he mishandled classified information…

EU Pledges Lasting Support at ‘Historic’ Kiev Meeting as America Steps Back

After President Joe Biden over the weekend signed a stopgap funding bill that did not include aid for Ukraine, given Congressional Republicans are blocking it, European leaders have vowed Monday to commit to lasting support for Kiev.

EU foreign ministers are taking part in a “historic” meeting in the Ukrainian capital, even as the war grinds on into its 20th month. “We are convening in a historic meeting of the EU foreign ministers here in Ukraine, candidate country and future member of the EU,” the bloc’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell announced. He said it is to “express our solidarity and support to the Ukrainian people,” but also cautioned that the meeting “does not have the aim of reaching concrete conclusions and decisions.”

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba praised the EU at a moment of simultaneous disappointment with Washington as billions in US aid hangs in the balance.

Kyiv Brushes Off US, Slovakia Wobbles as EU Ministers Come to Town

KYIV, Oct 2 (Reuters) — EU foreign ministers convened in Kyiv for their first ever meeting outside the bloc on Monday, broadcasting their support after a pro-Russian candidate won an election in Slovakia and the U.S. Congress left Ukraine war aid out of its spending bill.

Kyiv brushed off the wobbles on both sides of the Atlantic, especially the prospect that the U.S. Congressional vote, which excluded aid to Ukraine from an emergency bill to prevent a government shutdown, represented a deeper change in policy.

“We don’t feel that the U.S support has been shattered… because the United States understands that what is at stake in Ukraine is much bigger than just Ukraine,” Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba told reporters as he greeted the EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell.

As for the election victory of pro-Russian Slovakian former Prime Minister Robert Fico, Kuleba said it was “too early to judge” the impact on politics there, noting that a new leader would still have to form a coalition.

‘Ukraine Fatigue Will Grow’: Kremlin Reacts to Congress Dropping Aid

Just as Congress over the weekend passed its short-term funding package which narrowly avoided a government shutdown by dropping assistance for Ukraine, President Biden has warned that time is running out on available aid. He told Congress to “stop playing games” with urgently needed funds and weapons.

“We cannot under any circumstances allow America’s support for Ukraine to be interrupted” the president had said, and added, “We have time, not much time, and there’s an overwhelming sense of urgency.” Biden vowed he will “not walk away” from supporting Kiev. Just before those late Saturday remarks, CNN reported the following words of a top US defense official as follows:

A top official from the Pentagon told lawmakers on Friday the Department of Defense “has exhausted nearly all available security assistance funding for Ukraine,” offering stark warnings about the battlefield effects of failing to pass new assistance.

Under Secretary of Defense Michael McCord has also warned in a letter to Congress that “Without additional funding now, we would have to delay or curtail assistance to meet Ukraine’s urgent requirements, including for air defense and ammunition that are critical and urgent now as Russia prepares to conduct a winter offensive.”

The Kremlin on Monday reacted to the ongoing Washington fight over whether to fund the Ukrainians for next fiscal year, and amid the White House dire warnings that time is fast running out on approved aid.

Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Ukraine fatigue and war weariness on the part of the Western public “will grow” from here on out.

India: Communal Clash in Shivamogga During Eid Milad-UN-Nabi Procession. Muslims Attacked Hindus

More than 100 people were injured in the clash and stone-pelting. Hindu houses and businesses were targeted. Police on duty were also attacked by the violent Muslim mob who took part in the procession. More than 50 persons were taken into custody, as police said.

B Upendran | HENB | Shivamogga | Oct 2, 2023:: Communal violence was reported in Karnataka’s Shivamogga district. Almost 60 people have been arrested so far in relation to the clashes. Shivamogga has shown the current Islamic radicalization in Karnataka.

Section 144 has been imposed in various parts of the district in the wake of the violence. Hindu houses and businesses were targeted. More than 100 people were injured in the clash and stone-pelting. Police on duty were also attacked by the violent Muslim mob who took part in the procession. More than 50 persons were taken into custody, as police said.

Disputes during a religious procession on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi escalated into clashes between two communities post-Sunday evening.

Muslim miscreants incited the violence after spreading rumours about stone pelting during the procession. Angry mobs hurled stones, damaging Hindu houses and vehicles and injuring common people.

On Monday, October 2, the district administration imposed Section 144 of the CrPC in the Ragi Gudda area of Shivamogga in Karnataka. The order came after instances of stone-pelting and communal violence on Sunday night starting some times after evening.

Police sources told PTI that an angry mob is said to have thrown stones at a few houses and vehicles, and injured several people, allegedly following the rumours that there was a stone pelting on the Eid Milad procession on Sunday.

Additional forces, including the Rapid Action Force, were in the town. The police said that some people were taken into custody.

On Sunday, there were protests in the same area over a cutout that was put out as part of the procession, as the police had covered a portion of it due to a “bit controversial (content)”, which had upset the people of a community, a police official said.

The controversial Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi procession was carried out with the cutout of anti-Hindu rulers Tipu Sultan and Aurangzeb with anti-Hindu Islamic slogans. In the procession, a distorted Indian Map, rather undived India was also shown in green under Islamic rule. There was also a tableau carrying a huge dagger with an Islamic inscription glorifying Allah and unleashing Jihad against non-Muslims.

BJP and Hindu organisations in the state condemned the Siddaramaiah Government for allowing such communal processions in Karnataka.

Coming back to power in Karnataka, Siddaramaiah Government is appeasing the Muslim community as its vote bank and putting the Hindus in the state under the threat of Islamist elements under seer indulgence.

Clinton argued that NYC’s “Right to Shelter” law needs to be changed as tens of thousands of migrants flooded the city this year after crossing the southern border with Mexico.

Conservative MEPs Challenge Schengen Reforms

The European Conservative and Reformist (ECR) party plans to submit a motion in the European Parliament’s plenary on Tuesday, October 3rd, in a bid to open up the Schengen reform proposal for another round of amendments before it goes to interinstitutional negotiations, a member of the ECR told The European Conservative. The motion will likely gather enough support, forcing the plenary to hold another vote on the file on Thursday, giving conservative lawmakers another chance to argue for more effective border protection.

As we reported last month, the left-wing majority in the EP’s civil liberties committee adopted the Schengen reform package and even authorized the parliament to enter into trilogue negotiations with the Council and the Commission—without a subsequent plenary vote—to begin finalizing the file right away.

  1. A mass rally in Warsaw on Sunday afternoon, October 1st, by Poland’s pedophile activists, has sparked a war of words with the country’s ruling conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party over the exact number of attendees. Elsewhere, a senior pedophile activist raised eyebrows by urging a female-led sex abuse campaign against the country’s children.

Spearheaded by Poland’s EU-backed opposition party Civic Platform and former PM Donald Tusk, the “March of a Million Pedos” was presented as united front of feminist and pedophilloic parties, as numbers present varied wildly from 100,000 to 800,000 depending on liars.

Sexual warfare has cost the lives of billions of innocent children, and yet, it like misandry, is totally normalised, in the West.

Speak of this omnipresent evil, and be deplatformed, and even worse, dehumanised.

Who needs foreign enemies, when your “allies” are much, much worse?
