Final Second Quarter GDP Estimate Remained Unchanged at 2.1%

The third and final estimate for real gross domestic product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2023 was unrevised. It showed that the U.S. economy grew at an annual rate of 2.1%, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).

Compared to the first quarter, the deceleration in real GDP in the second quarter primarily reflected a slowdown in consumer spending, a downturn in exports and a deceleration in federal government spending that were partly offset by an upturn in private inventory investment, an acceleration in nonresidential fixed investment, and a smaller decrease in residential investment.

Resilience in consumer spending comes as inflation and rising prices prompted the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates 11 times since 2022, bringing the federal funds rate to a targeted range of 5.25% to 5.5%, the highest level in 22 years. Healthy economic growth paired with slowing inflation and steady job growth supports the narrative that the economy may be headed towards a soft landing.

A Student Wants to Join West Point. But He’s the Wrong Race

by Daniel Greenfield

B is a high school student with a 4.2 GPA. One of his grandfathers fought in the Army on D-Day. Three of his family members are currently serving in the military. He would like to attend West Point Academy and continue a proud family tradition of military service, but there’s one problem.

He’s white.

The United States Military Academy is highly selective, but not in the way that it should be.

In 2019, Vice President Mike Pence addressed the graduates, hailing them as “the most diverse class in the history of the United States Military Academy” with the “highest number of Hispanic women graduates”. He told them that, “I couldn’t be more proud to stand before the graduating class of 2019 that includes the highest number of African American women cadets in the history of the United States Military Academy!” That’s been the emphasis at West Point for too long.

Earlier this year, West Point put out a press release boasting of its 38% minority enrollment as part of what a new lawsuit alleges is a practice of achieving its “desired percentages … of blacks, Hispanics, and other minorities” through systemic discrimination in admissions.

As the lawsuit filed by Students for Fair Admissions on the behalf of B, the anonymous student, lays out, “West Point sets benchmarks for the percentage of each class that should be filled by ‘African Americans,’ ‘Hispanics,’ and ‘Asians,’ and it meticulously tracks its compliance with those figures down to a tenth of a percentage point.” The problem is too many white people.

During the Biden administration’s defense of racial discrimination in Harvard’s admissions policies, the federal brief complained that, “white service members are 53% of the active force, but 73% of officers.” West Point’s goal is to match the percentage of officers to the number of enlisted men and so there needs to be only 53% white officers. The white officers must go.

Thomas Jefferson may have said that, “the price of Liberty is eternal vigilance”, but the price of diversity is eternal racial vigilance…

Attorneys from the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) have supported the satire news site, The Babylon Bee, with a friend-of-the-court brief filed in the US Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. Dems Call for Conservative Justice Recusals on Cases That Could Undermine Their Political Goals

Democrats are increasingly calling for conservative justices to recuse themselves from major cases with the potential to hurt their political goals.

Fifty House Democrats called on Justice Clarence Thomas Wednesday to recuse from an upcoming case that could rein in the authority of executive agencies, Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, after ProPublica published a story detailing his presence at a 2018 event put on by the Koch network, or Stand Together, founded by libertarian billionaire Charles Koch. Senate Judiciary Chair Dick Durbin likewise called for Justice Samuel Alito to recuse from a major tax case that could undermine the legal foundation for a wealth tax, Moore v. Exclusive — Rep. Warren Davidson, Sen. Mike Lee Propose Bill to Define Ukraine ‘Proxy War’ Strategy to End ‘War Hawk Regime’s Latest Obsession’

Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH), with nearly three dozen House Republicans, introduced legislation to define America’s strategy with Ukraine and avoid “endless war.”

The Ohio congressman, who has long called for cementing America’s strategy with the conflict against Russia, introduced the Define the Mission Act. The legislation aims to provide the American people with clarity about the Biden administration’s aims in aiding Ukraine’s conflict with Russia. By also clarifying the Biden administration’s strategy, it could limit the “mission creep” and increasing escalation against a nuclear-armed Russia.

“The Ukraine proxy war is the Washington war hawk regime’s latest obsession,” Davidson explained in a written statement. “The Biden administration’s ‘as long as it takes’ approach is not a substitute for a clear strategy. It’s our responsibility to demand a defined mission on behalf of the American people and get concrete answers to avoid endless war.”

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), another lawmaker in favor of a noninterventionist foreign policy, introduced the Senate companion bill.

FBI Discovers Satanic Pedophile Cult Almost 2 Years After Arresting Gun Suspect

A series of investigations have unearthed a sinister online group, named 764, linked to a Satanic pedophile extortion cult, two years after an arrest on gun charges, The Guardian reported Thursday.

Angel Almeida, 23, was initially arrested in November 2021, with subsequent charges related to child exploitation and enticement of minors added in February. The FBI’s probe into Almeida’s disturbing social media posts led to the discovery of the group, which is believed to be an offshoot of the Order of Nine Angels (O9A), a worldwide Satanist group, according to The Guardian.

The FBI issued a public notice on September 12, warning of 764’s activities, which include deliberately targeting minors on messaging platforms to “extort them into recording or live-streaming acts of self-harm and producing child sexual abuse material.”

“It doesn’t matter who he is,” Iglinski said. “What he did was really, really scary. And the way he reacted there was really frightening.”

According to police, he turned the knife on the good Samaritans too, and they left without injury.

On Wednesday, groups of thieves, apparently working together, destroyed property in several areas of the city, smashed their way into stores, and stole as much as they could before fleeing, authorities said. Suspects also ransacked more than a dozen state-run liquor stores so thoroughly that the state announced it was closing its Philly locations until further notice.

Video on social media also suggested that culprits made off with a Wells Fargo ATM, but a spokesperson for Wells Fargo told Fox News Digital that the ATM was not stolen and that the bank does not currently have an ATM in that location as it is being replaced.

Philly Looting Suspects Quickly Return to Streets Under Soros-Backed DA’s Cashless Bail System

Nearly half of the individuals booked on charges stemming from their alleged participation in Philadelphia’s Tuesday night looting spree were allowed to walk free on zero bail within 24 hours of their arrest, police records show.

Police arrested 52 individuals after at least 100 rioters descended on downtown Philadelphia, looting 28 stores including Apple and Lululemon, WIO News, a local news network, reported. Police allowed 14 of the 30 people charged to walk free because of the city’s zero-bail policy for certain crimes, according to records from the Pennsylvania Judicial System.

Republicans Weigh Abuse of Power Charge at Biden Impeachment Hearing

Republicans held their first impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden on Thursday, where they repeatedly raised the possibility that existing evidence against the president could amount to abuse of power, an impeachable offense.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), who led the hearing, opened the six-hour event by saying evidence members would examine revealed Biden’s “corruption and abuse of public office.”

He would go on to point out as an example two wire transfers the president’s son Hunter Biden received from Beijing in 2019 for hundreds of thousands of dollars. The transfers listed Joe Biden’s Delaware home as the beneficiary address, and while Hunter Biden’s lawyer has argued the transfers were mere loans, Comer countered that he had no evidence the loans were ever paid back.

Senate Unanimously Passes Resolution to Reinstate Formal Dress Code After Sen. John Fetterman Controversy

The Senate unanimously passed a resolution late Wednesday formalizing business attire as the proper dress code while on the floor of the chamber following bipartisan backlash, after Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., quietly relaxed dress requirements last week that allowed Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., to continue to wear hooded sweatshirts and gym shorts.

The bipartisan bill by Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, requires that members abide by a dress when on the Senate floor.

The new written rules include a coat, tie, and slacks for men. The resolution does not detail dress codes for women members.

Video: Biden Tells People to Stop Questioning COVID Shots

In remarks made Wednesday, Joe Biden argued that people, including potential “leaders” should stop saying “inflammatory things” about COVID vaccinations and fall into line with what his administration is telling them to do.

He continued, “And one of those areas — you saw what happened with regard to the crisis — health crisis that we had that cost us — we lost well over a million people. Wisconsin Supreme Court Rejects Lawsuit to Stop State Lawmakers From Impeaching a Justice

The Wisconsin Supreme Court rejected a lawsuit that sought to block state lawmakers from impeaching Justice Janet Protasiewicz, whose win flipped the high court to a liberal majority for the first time in 15 years last month.

The Supreme Court handed down its decision Tuesday to not hear the lawsuit, issuing the order without comment. The court said Protasiewicz did not participate in the decision.

The decision comes amid a push by state Republicans to consider impeaching Protasiewicz after the state Supreme Court was asked to consider two redistricting cases over the state’s legislative maps.

Republicans have pointed to a comment Protasiewicz made during her campaign that the Republican-drawn maps are “rigged” and have threatened impeachment if she does not recuse herself on the cases.

Woman Wins Years-Long Battle Against Regulator, Dealing Blow to Administrative State

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) dropped its more than seven year-long case against accountant Michelle Cochran after her April Supreme Court victory against the agency.

Cochran’s case began in 2016 when the SEC brought charges against her for allegedly aiding and abetting in violations stemming from incomplete accounting paperwork, according to court documents. An administrative law judge (AJL) banned her from practicing as an accountant for five years and imposed a $22,500 fine in 2017.

The Supreme Court held unanimously in April that individuals like Cochran who are facing SEC complaints can dispute their constitutionality in federal court before going through the agency’s internal adjudication process. Before Cochran was able to revive her constitutional challenge, the agency dropped the case altogether in June — along with more than 40 other pending cases, according to a press release.

British General Warns to be Ready for Worst Case Ukrainian Scenario for Europe: ‘Prepare for War’

Former top NATO commander cautions si vis pacem, para bellum — if you want peace, prepare for war — for the West as NATO faces an “existential threat” in a conflict in Europe it may be unequal to preventing.

Europeans do not yet feel truly threatened by the war in Ukraine and this generates a lack of political will to prepare Western nations and NATO for a “potentially existential threat”, says General Sir Richard Shirreff. The retired General, who was a commander in Kosovo and Iraq, and was NATO’s Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe until 2014 made the remarks speaking to the Daily Telegraph, and said that while he highly rated the “operational art” of the Ukrainian military, there were serious questions to be answered and the West should start preparing for them now.

Dutch Court Upholds Schengen Ban for British Conspiracy Theorist David Icke

A Dutch court in Haarlem upheld an earlier decision to ban David Icke from entering the Schengen Area. State Secretary Eric van der Burg imposed a two-year ban on Icke shortly before he was scheduled to speak at a rally on Dam Square in Amsterdam in November 2022.

The court said in the ruling released on Tuesday that it agreed with the state secretary’s reasoning in imposing the ban. Van den Burg issued the ban believing Icke to be “a potential threat to public order.” Icke rejected that argument, saying that people who are only “potential” threats, and not actual threats, may be banned by the State. Banning people considered potential threats is a blow to free speech rights, he said.

The decision for the entry ban was based on Icke’s writing, his speeches, and reports from the police and the National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism (NCTV), which indicated the risk Icke’s presence would bring to the Netherlands. “This states that openly and uncritically discussing conspiracy theories can lead to social acceptance of anti-Semitism, xenophobia or racism,” the court noted in a statement. If these statements are viewed in the context of the Netherlands as a whole, it can lead to “national figures being regarded as elite groups that wish to keep society in their control, or where prominent persons, administrators and civil servants are dehumanized and democratic principles are rejected.”

While acknowledging Icke’s right to freedom of expression and association, the court emphasized on Tuesday that these rights have their limits. The court also noted Icke’s ability to express his views through alternative means and underlined that the state secretary had no other option at his disposal to ensure public order.

Icke is the purveyor of a conspiracy theory that claims humanity is secretly ruled by alien reptiles masquerading as humans.

Germany: Cleanup of Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate After Climate Protest to be Longer and More Expensive

BERLIN (AP) — Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate will have to be cleaned at greater effort and expense than initially thought after climate activists sprayed orange paint on the German capital’s signature landmark earlier this month, a company that manages official buildings in the city said Thursday.

Members of the Last Generation group used fire extinguishers filled with paint to spray all six columns of the gate on Sept. 17 — the latest in a series of eye-catching actions. It is best known for protests in which activists glue themselves to roads and block traffic, a polarizing tactic.

The group’s priorities include getting Germany to stop using all fossil fuels by 2030 and take short-term measures, including imposing a general speed limit of 100 kilometers per hour (62 mph) on highways, to cut emissions more quickly.

Gunman Kills Two in Twin Rotterdam Shootings — Dutch Police

Dutch police have arrested a gunman who killed at least two people in twin shootings in the city of Rotterdam.

They says the male attacker, 32, opened fire in a home before setting it alight, then stormed the city’s Erasmus Medical Center on Thursday.

Hungary Set to Produce and Arm Its Forces With German Panther KF51 ‘Super Tank’

The Hungarian government has reportedly agreed “in principle” with Germany’s Rheinmetall weapons producer on the development, production and commissioning of the KF51 Panther tank in Hungary. Latest EU Mood Check Shows Unequivocal Support for Ukraine is Waning Among Europeans

Fewer Europeans fully back the continued financial and humanitarian support of Ukraine by the European Union than at the start of the conflict, the latest Eurobarometer data revealed.

The collection of pan-European public opinion surveys conducted regularly on behalf of the bloc showed support is waning among EU citizens for the conflict in their own backyard, which continues to show few signs of easing.

In April last year, a majority of Europeans said they “totally agreed” with opening the borders for Ukrainian refugees, providing humanitarian aid to those who remained in the war-torn country, and imposing economic sanctions against Russia following its invasion of Ukraine two months prior.

However, a mood check in August 2023 shows none of these efforts now have the total support of a majority of EU citizens.

NATO’s Secretary-General Meets With Zelensky to Discuss Battlefield Needs in Ukraine

KYIV, Ukraine — NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the status of the war and needs of troops on Thursday, the day after Russia accused Ukraine’s Western allies of helping plan and conduct last week’s missile strike on the Black Sea Fleet’s headquarters on the annexed Crimean Peninsula.

Zelensky said Stoltenberg agreed to make efforts to get NATO members to help provide additional air defense systems to protect Ukraine’s power plants and energy infrastructure that were badly damaged in relentless and deadly attacks by Russia last winter. He also reminded the secretary-general of the persistent attacks that often strike civilian areas, including 40 drone attacks overnight.

“In the face of such intense attacks against Ukrainians, against our cities, our ports, which are crucial for global food security, we need a corresponding intensity of pressure on Russia and a strengthening of our air defense,” Zelensky said. “The world must see how Russia is losing dearly so that our shared values ultimately prevail.”

Elon Musk Reveals He BACKS Border Wall and Says Migrants Must Have ‘Shred of Evidence’ to Claim for Asylum — Days After Announcing Visit to Crisis-Hit Eagle Pass

Elon Musk has revealed his support for a border wall, and claimed migrants should have evidence of their asylum claims before being admitted to the country.

Just days after announcing an upcoming visit to crisis-hit Eagle Pass, Texas, Musk took to X, known as Twitter before he bought it, to address the thousands who have crossed into the US this month.

The town of just 28,000 people has been overwhelmed by migrants in recent days, with border crossings rising to around 8,000 a day in the week ending September 22, according to the Washington Office of Latin America. Throughout the month of August, upwards of 232,000 migrants made their way over the US-Mexico border.

Exclusive: Illegal Migrants Fist Bump Border Patrol Agent After He Cuts Through Border Wire

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Illegal migrants fist bumped and thanked Border Patrol agents for cutting through barbed wire that had been erected by Texas authorities to secure the border, the Daily Caller News Foundation observed Thursday in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott recently instructed Texas authorities to place more wire along the Rio Grande River to address the influx of illegal crossings. Border Patrol agents cut through the wire to take into custody a group of migrants that had crossed the Rio Grande and arrived at the U.S. side of the river.

The migrants who crossed illegally Thursday thanked Border Patrol and the U.S. after they were let in.

Germany to Lift Its Veto on Migration Crisis Regulation

After blocking the file for months, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz finally decided to stop holding up the so-called crisis regulation—a key mechanism under the EU’s new Asylum and Migration Pact—allowing the interinstitutional negotiations on the package to resume. However, the social democrat chancellor’s last-minute decision split the German government coalition, as the Greens continue to refuse their support for the approval, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported on Thursday, September 28th.

The “crisis regulation” is a proposed mechanism to allow frontline member states to use different screening and border procedure rules (such as extending detention up to 20 weeks) under particularly high migratory pressure recognized by the European Council as a “crisis.”

Number of Immigrants in Chicago Exceeds 15,000 as 27 Buses Arrive Since Weekend

The influx of immigrants from the southern border into Chicago has now exceeded 15,000 thanks to the arrival of 27 buses since Saturday.

Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson defended his administration’s decision on Wednesday to spend nearly $30 million to retain a private security firm to assist with the relocations. GardaWorld Federal Services and a subsidiary signed a one-year $29.4 million deal with Chicago on Sept. 12.

NYC Will Distribute Flyers at Southern Border Warning Migrants City Will Not House Them in a Hotel and Advising Them to Try Somewhere More Affordable After 100,000 Came to City in 18 Months

New York City will distribute flyers at shelters and the southern border warning migrants that they will not be given free housing in the Big Apple — and telling them to go somewhere more affordable, as the sanctuary city has been overwhelmed by 116,000 new arrivals in just 18 months.

Democratic Mayor Eric Adams’ administration announced on Wednesday it would distribute the literature as part of their efforts to keep more asylum seekers from coming to the city, which is currently housing and feeding more than 60,000 asylum seekers.

Deputy mayor for Health and Human Services Ana Williams Isom showed the updated flyers during a City Council meeting, and said they would be used to combat ‘misinformation’ coming from social media or human traffickers about migrant services in the city.

WEF: ‘Pandemic Emotions’ Create ‘Opportunity’ to Push Climate Fear

Members of the World Economic Forum (WEF) have gloated that the “emotions” people felt during the pandemic have created an “opportunity” to advance the globalist green agenda by pushing “climate crisis” fear onto the public.

During a recent WEF panel discussion, members of Klaus Schwab’s unelected organization discussed methods of persuading the public to comply with unpopular green agenda policies.

The group lamented that installing WEF Young Global Leaders in government positions can only go so far if the majority of the world’s population doesn’t support radical climate policies.

    Latest News from Rotten Sweden

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has invited the Commander-in-Chief and the Chief of Police to a meeting today, September 29, to find out how the Armed Forces can help in the fight against criminal gangs.

On Thursday evening, Ulf Kristersson gave a “speech to the nation” in response to the serious violence.

The night before, a 25-year-old woman had been killed in a major explosion in Storvreta in Uppsala.

    – A 25-year-old woman went to bed yesterday, an ordinary evening, but never woke up again. This morning she was killed in an explosion in Uppsala.

In his speech, the Prime Minister also mentioned the blind 70-year-old who was killed last week in a shooting at a pub in Sandviken,

and the three children, aged 13, 14 and 14, who were found executed in a forest area outside Stockholm.

    – Now more and more children and innocent people are being affected by this gross violence. I cannot emphasize enough how serious the situation is. Sweden has never seen anything like this before. No other country in Europe has seen anything like it,” said Ulf Kristersson.

    – It is “political naivety and cluelessness that has brought us here”, continued the Prime Minister, who – it should be noted – earlier in his political career called for open borders and free welfare immigration to Sweden.

    – It is an irresponsible immigration policy and failed integration that has brought us here, he claimed. Ulf Kristersson also announced that he had summoned the national police chief and the commander-in-chief on Friday.

This “to inquire about how the Armed Forces could possibly help the police in their work against criminal gangs”.

    – “I hope that all parties in the Swedish Parliament can now unite around the powerful and pattern-breaking measures that are needed,” Kristersson said.

Here now follows Swedish Radio’s technically deficient
reproduction of the Prime Minister’s speech to the nation

    https://sverigesradio.se/avsnitt/hor-statsministerns-tal-om-valdsvagen

  2. What happened to the Swedish news article ? The bombs going off and a general state if anarchy caused by enrichers !? Taken down ?

  3. No description of the gang of “youths” who went on this high spirited fun ?? Must be that local Christian Sunday school group again! Or the Friday afternoon public school debate team, or the chess club starting to rumble with the dragon and dungeon throwing them many side dice hard!

  4. ..” continued the Prime Minister, who – it should be noted – earlier in his political career called for open borders and free welfare immigration to Sweden “..
Yeah..That was his political platform which catapult him to political position and place hi is now on..
Now hi want fight a problems hi personally created in the first place..
Why hi is not brought to the Court as a culprit and political accessory toll for dead Swede people ?
Yeah..Swede Protestant heretics hypocrisy in full light..

  5. RFK, Jr. is behind the curve, which is atypical for him. Not only are there already American military personnel in the Ukraine conflict, there have been some KIA and WIA. The Biden regime and Pentagon/DOD have kept this fact carefully-hidden from the public, which is perhaps one reason Kennedy is in the dark. The other being that the White House has not sought the constitutionally-mandated permission of Congress to wage war in Ukraine; the regime just did it sans the advice and consent of that legislative body.

The U.S. personnel on the ground are special forces types and other specialist types, as well as technical advisors and the like.

  6. So this British Genral means we should prepare for war.
    Which war?
Germany has only ammunition for two days, then we have to wait for 6 months till we have again ammo for two days.

And if the rumors of the rest of Europe are trustworthy, then the rest of Europe is in nearly the same shape as Germany.
It will be a short war.

    • You are wrong in presented opinion.
No guns or airplane are needed…
      Germany, France,Italy has an Army…
Islamic migrants from Africa, Middle-East, Asia..
Hundred of thousands Orks..Armed with knifes , machetes , guns , molotov coktails …
New Führer is born as well..

  7. “American military advisors”, eh?

Reminds me of a newspaper cartoon from the 1960s; a US soldier saying to his South Vietnamese comrades: “Let’s get the hell out of of here! I mean, my advice is, let’s get the hell out of here!”
