Germany: Housing Prices Falling at Record Pace

In what appears to be yet another worrying signal for Germany’s economy, residential property prices plummeted dramatically in the second quarter of this year, falling more sharply than has been witnessed since statistics started being recorded.

Germany’s Federal Statistical Office revealed on Friday, September 22nd, that from the period of April to June of this year housing prices fell by an average of 9.9% compared to the previous year, the steepest drop witnessed since the office began recording figures in 2000, with significant price declines taking place in both urban and rural areas, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports.

All Philly Liquor Stores Closed After Mass Looting

Update (1450ET):

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that all Philadelphia Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores are closed on Wednesday after looters targeted at least 18 locations on Tuesday night.

The decision to shutter more than two dozen Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations was “in the interest of employee safety and while we assess the damage and loss that occurred,” Shawn M. Kelly, press secretary for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, said in a statement.

The stores will reopen “when it is safe to do so and when the damage is repaired,” Kelly said.

He continued, “We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience,” and “we appreciate their patience and understanding.”

Breaking: DOJ Obstructed IRS Investigation Into Joe Biden, FARA in 2020: House Oversight

The House Oversight Committee released emails and documents on Wednesday that show that a US Attorney prevented the investigation by the IRS into Joe Biden as part of a probe into alleged FARA violations. This corroborates the testimony given by IRA whistleblower Gary Shapley to the Committee in June.

“As a priority,” begins an email from Delwarare Assistant US Attorney Lesley Wolf on August 7, 2020, “someone needs to redraft attachment B. I am not sure what this is cut and pasted from but other than the attribution, location and identity stuff at the end, none of it is appropriate and within the scope of the warrant. Please focus on FARA evidence only,” she writes, going on to say that nothing in the email should reference Joe Biden, who at the time was running for president on the Democrat Party ticket.

Breaking: Brothers Who Beat Ethan Liming to Death Outside Lebron James’ ‘I Promise’ School Found Guilty of Lesser Assault Charges

On Friday, the jury delivered its verdict for the suspects involved in a June 2022 fight at LeBron James’ Promise School in Akron, Ohio that resulted in the death of 17-year-old Ethan Liming. Deshawn Stafford, 20, was found guilty of felony aggravated assault, and misdemeanor assault, while his 19-year-old brother Tyler was only hit with misdemeanor assault. Both were acquitted on charges of involuntary manslaughter, which had already been downgraded from murder.

The jury failed to reach a verdict on a count of first-degree felony involuntary manslaughter leveled against the elder Stafford, leading Summit County Common Pleas Judge Tammy O’Brien to declare it a mistrial. The charge can be brought forth again in the future, though prosecutors did not disclose whether that was an option they were pursuing.

Cigarette Sparks Explosion Inside Dodge Charger, Starts House Fire

Trapped vapors from a propane tank inside the car was cited as the fuel for the blast

A woman hopping inside a Dodge Charger for a cigarette sparked an explosion that destroyed the car, burned down a significant portion of her home and left her with third-degree burns. How could a cigarette cause so much destruction while sitting in a driveway? A propane tank was being stored in the back seat with the windows rolled up.

Rashanda Broome walked out of her home in Charlotte at around 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. She stepped into a Charger, and 30 seconds later there was an explosion. A neighbor described what happened right afterward to WSOC, “The car was just on fire at one point in time. And then the car led to the house being on fire. It made a big noise. It shook everything and everything came out of the wall and the house.”

Immediately after the blast, Broome opened the door and escaped the fire. Video footage also shows a man running out of the home and attempting to put out the fire. According to WSOC, she lit a cigarette. Normally, that wouldn’t be an issue, but there was a crucial difference. A propane tank was being stored inside the car. The cigarette ignited the trapped vapors.

CVS Pharmacy Plans to Shut Down 900 Stores by the End of 2024 Due to Shoplifting

In response to the escalating issue of shoplifting, CVS pharmacy chain has revealed its intention to close 900 stores by the conclusion of 2024. This development coincides with Target’s decision to shut down nine of its stores for similar reasons, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

CVS is poised to shutter nearly a tenth of its stores, totaling 900 outlets by the close of 2024. This move aligns with the company’s shift toward an online retail strategy, prompted by the substantial surge in shoplifting incidents.

As part of a comprehensive retail transformation, CVS is set to close numerous stores across the nation, mirroring the broader trend of retailers moving toward online platforms amidst a significant rise in criminal activity.

Houston Jack in the Box Employee Filmed ‘Shooting’ at Drive-Thru Customer Denies Opening Fire Despite Security Camera Showing Muzzle Flash

A Houston Jack in the Box employee has denied shooting at a drive-thru customer — despite video appearing to show the moment she fires out of the window at his car.

Alonniea Ford-Theriot defended her actions yesterday, claiming: ‘I’m not an angry person, not a mad monster out here. I’m just a woman trying to work for my family.’

The mother of two told ABC13 ‘you didn’t hear the gun go off at all.’ But despite the footage lacking audio, there is clear muzzle flash and at least one bullet casing is ejected.

Ford-Theriot — who pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge over the March 2021 incident — is now being sued by the customer, Anthony Ramos, who was in the car with his pregnant wife and their six-year-old daughter.

Ramos and his attorney held a press conference Monday to announce the civil suit which alleges assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence by Ford, as well as negligence by Jack in the Box in hiring her.

Looters Strike Apple, Foot Locker and Lululemon Stores in Philadelphia; at Least 15 People Arrested in Mass Chaos

A group of young looters created havoc in Philadelphia on Tuesday night, stealing from several stores in a spree that is unrelated to earlier peaceful protests over a judge’s decision to drop charges against a cop who fatally shot Eddie Irizarry, police said.

The unruly crowd outnumbered responding officers as they went from store to store in Center City, lifting merchandise and stuffing it in large plastic bags, CBS Philadelphia reported.

The shoplifters hit a Foot Locker and Apple store near 15th and Chestnut streets as well as a Lululemon in Rittenhouse Square and are accused of assaulting a security guard at the shoe store, according to the local station.

At least 15 people were arrested in connection with the frenzied mass-shoplifting event, according to ABC7.

Philly DA Refiles Charges Against Former Officer Accused of Fatally Shooting Man During Traffic Stop

Charges have been refiled by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office against former police officer Mark Dial, who is accused of fatally shooting Eddie Irizarry last month during a traffic stop.

During the Tuesday hearing on the initial case, Judge Wendy Pew ruled that there wasn’t enough evidence to convict Dial of Irizarry’s murder after viewing footage of the August 14 incident.

Defense attorneys argued that Dial had acted in self-defense, according to Fox News.

Pritzker’s Illinois: Nation’s Worst State to Own a Home

Authored by Ted Dabrowski and John Klingner via Wirepoints.org

Gov. J.B. Pritzker promised to cut property taxes in 2020, part of his State of the State speech. Even then he recognized that those taxes, some of the nation’s highest for decades, were a real drag on Illinois homeowners.

Here’s what he promised:

“Property taxes in Illinois are simply too high. And that’s why it’s time to put the best ideas to work from both sides of the aisle. Local governments continue to max out their levies even when they don’t need to. There are perverse incentives in state law that encourage that. We can change the law to support local governments and lower property taxes. And with nearly 7,000 units of government in Illinois, it’s time to empower local taxpayers and voters to consolidate or eliminate them. [Emphasis added].

Nearly four years on and Pritzker and his Democratic-led supermajorities have done nothing for homeowners. The property tax commission he put together to lower taxes was a flop and many laws that have been passed since he took office have increased property taxes. The pain has only gotten worse.

Illinois falls dead last nationally when it comes to home value appreciation since 2000 — worse even than Michigan, which suffered the Detroit bankruptcy.

Real Estate Insiders Bewildered by Judge’s $18M Valuation of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago: ‘Would List at $300M’

A New York judge’s Tuesday ruling valuing Donald Trump’s sprawling, headline-making Florida estate at $18 million has left industry experts perplexed.

In his verdict, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron delivered a bombshell ruling that the former president committed fraud by inflating the value of his wealth, with details including the monetary value associated with Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.

This decision, which came down without a jury, has sent shockwaves through political — and real estate — circles, especially that $18 million base value for the property.

One prominent Palm Beach real estate broker, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told The Post, “It’s utterly delusional to think that property is only worth $18 million.”

The insider added, “If that property were on the market today, I would list it at around $300 million, minimum … at least. He also has the separate golf course minutes away.”

Supreme Court Asked to Review Ruling That Claims Clearing Homeless Encampments is ‘Cruel and Unusual Punishment’

Numerous bodies across the US are pushing for the Supreme Court to review a court ruling that prevents cities from enforcing bans on homeless encampments in public spaces. Among them is the state of California, as well as multiple cities, municipalities, and organizations that are challenging a decision in Johnson vs. City of Grants Pass with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals arguing the decision strips local government authority and as a result, cities are unable to address the homeless crisis on their streets.

In Johnson v. Grants Pass, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed a permanent injunction that enjoined or stopped, a city ordinance enforcing public camping prohibitions unless the city first provides shelter beds for each homeless individual in the jurisdiction.

Suspect in Brutal Murder of Baltimore Tech CEO Was on Early Parole for Violent Rape Thanks to Soros DA

A multi-agency manhunt is underway in Maryland for a violent repeat offender who has been accused of killing a 26-year-old tech CEO who was found dead on Monday. Trump Heads to Michigan to Blast Electric Vehicle Mandates to Striking Auto Workers After Skipping Second Republican Debate

Former President Donald Trump was expected to deliver remarks blasting electric vehicle mandates in Michigan Wednesday night, skipping the second Republican primary debate in a bid to garner support in the battleground state during a weeks-long autoworker strike.

The 77-year-old’s primetime speech at Drake Enterprises — an auto parts manufacturer outside of Detroit — will focus on unions and workers, his track record of protecting American workers and jobs and his plans for a potential second term, spokesman Steven Cheung told the Post.

Another big part of Trump’s speech will be rallying against President Biden’s rapid push for electric vehicle manufacturing, “which is a big reason why union members are upset,” Cheung said.

British BLM Organizer Admits Fraud

by RT

A Black Lives Matter organizer in the UK city of Bristol has admitted to stealing money from a fundraising page set up ahead of a demonstration in 2020 during which a prominent statue was toppled, The Times reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, 23-year-old Xahra Saleem pleaded guilty to one count of fraud last week after an alleged £30,000 ($36,400) went missing from a crowdfunding page she had organized.

A self-described screenwriter, Saleem, who also goes by Yvonne Maina, was one of the five organizers of the Bristol BLM protest on June 7, 2020, held in response to the killing of George Floyd by a police officer in the US. She was also the co-founder of the All Black Lives Bristol group and had at one point even been named one of the most influential people under the age of 30 in Bristol by a local youth publication.

Several days before the 2020 BLM protest during which a statue of British philanthropist and slave trader Edward Colsten was knocked over and thrown into Bristol harbour. Saleem opened up a donation page on GoFundMe called BristBLM where she asked for help covering the costs of the demonstration and paying for protective equipment for the protesters.

She also entered an agreement with a Bristol youth charity group called Changing Your Mindset, vowing to donate to the organization any money left over from the fundraising. However, despite the GoFundMe page going on to raise tens of thousands of dollars, the charity never received any of the money and eventually had to shut down, prompting the Avon and Somerset police to launch an investigation into the fundraising page.

Saleem is the latest BLM activist to have been found stealing money from a fundraiser set up in the name of the anti-racism movement. Last year, Black Lives Matter Boston leader Monica Cannon-Grant and her husband Clark Grant were indicted for defrauding donors to their nonprofit and stealing over $1 million in grants and donations. That same year, the leader of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF), Shalomyah Bowers, was also accused of stealing more than $10 million in donations from the organization for personal use.

Furthermore, in 2021, BLMGNF co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors found herself at the center of a media storm after it was revealed that she and two other BLM members had purchased a nearly $6 million mansion in one of southern California’s whitest neighborhoods using money that had been donated to the organization.

Researchers Reveal New Evidence of Nord Stream Explosions

by RT

Seismic data indicates that four separate explosions struck the Nord Stream gas pipelines last year, Norwegian researchers told The Guardian on Tuesday. The explosions destroyed three of the four Nord Stream lines.

Seismologists at Norsar, a foundation set up to monitor for earthquakes and nuclear tests under the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, initially identified two explosions along the Nord Stream pipelines last September. One blast hit Nord Stream 2 at 2:03am local time on September 26, 2022, while the second hit Nord Stream 1 at 7:03pm on the same day.

The Norsar team found that data from the day suggests two additional blasts took place seven and 16 seconds respectively after the second explosion.

Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 each comprise two separate pipelines. Given three out of the four lines were destroyed, the use of more than two explosive devices was already considered likely. However, Norsar is the first investigatory body to publicly confirm this suspicion.

Both sets of Nord Stream pipelines were severed near the Danish island of Bornholm. According to Norsar, the second and third explosions took place within 220 meters of each other, while the fourth took place several kilometers away.

The governments of Denmark, Germany, and Sweden are all investigating the blasts, though none has released any findings, and all have prohibited Russia from participating in the probes.

In the meantime, two competing theories have emerged as to who was responsible for sabotaging the pipelines. According to reports in the Western mainstream media, a team of Ukrainian commandos used a rented yacht to transport explosives to the blast sites, with the CIA and European intelligence agencies being made aware of the plot several months beforehand. Reports by the Washington Post and the Netherlands’ NOS news network claim that the CIA in fact told the Ukrainians to abort the plan.

However, American journalist Seymour Hersh has said that US President Joe Biden ordered the CIA to blow up the pipelines. Citing sources in the intelligence community, Hersh has claimed that CIA divers working with the Norwegian Navy planted remotely-triggered bombs on the lines last summer, using a NATO exercise in the region as cover.

By destroying the pipelines, Biden intended to sever Germany’s energy ties to Russia, thus preventing Berlin from lifting sanctions on Moscow in order to save its gas-dependent economy, Hersh argued.

Biden warned in early February that in the event of military action by Russia, “there will no longer be a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in March that he “fully agrees” with Hersh’s conclusions. Putin argued that the US in particular benefited from the attack due to its position as a competing gas supplier to Europe.

Rising Right-Wing Wave in Poland: The Confederation Party’s Push and Its Implications for Europe

Poland’s right-wing surge, as embodied by the Confederation party, made quite the impression with their rock concert-esque electoral campaign convention. The grand spectacle featured a singer on a motorcycle and an elaborate pyrotechnic display.

The event in Katowice appeared to be a strategic move to not only energize voters but to also minimize the antisemitism and extremist views present within their ranks.

Confederation’s leadership, amid the eye-catching smoke and fire, voiced their aspirations: a call for tax reductions, deregulation and a stance that’s critical of both the European Union and Ukraine.

Rising Influence of AfD in Germany: Political Shifts and Underlying Causes as Analyzed by Financial Times

The Financial Times reported that the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) has garnered close to 22% of the votes in Germany. Mainstream politicians increasingly find themselves discussing issues like race and immigration, subjects they might not have emphasized in the past. The AfD’s expanding influence has raised eyebrows, particularly with upcoming elections in eastern states like Saxony, Brandenburg and Thuringia. UK: Hero Schoolgirl, 15, Was Stabbed to Death on Croydon Bus in Horrific Rush-Hour Attack ‘When She Stepped in to Protect Her Friend Who Got Into Row With Her Ex-Boyfriend When He Turned Up With Flowers and Love Note’…

Emotional tributes are paid at the scene

A 15-year-old schoolgirl who was stabbed to death this morning on her way to school was trying to stop a fight between her friend and her ex-boyfriend, witnesses have claimed.

Tonight the girl, who was a pupil at Old Palace of John Whitgift School in Croydon, has been named locally as Eliyanna. She was attacked at 8.30am — less than a mile away from the school gates.

Locals say they saw a group of schoolchildren getting off the No 60 bus outside the Whitgift Centre, where a row between the girl, wearing a green school blazer, and the boy — in a black blazer — ‘spilled out’ on to a street busy with pedestrians.

It was previously claimed that the girl had been attacked after she ‘refused to go out’ with the boy and ‘rejected his offers of flowers’, but it has now been claimed he was in fact trying to speak with her friend.

The friend had been trying to hand the boy back a bag of his belongings while he tried to give her flowers when the fight broke out, seeing the victim attempt to intervene, witnesses said.

This afternoon, a love note with the words ‘special girl’ and ‘princess’ written on it, along with blood stained red roses, were being examined by forensic officers. The note was then removed from the scene.

Chevanice Thomas, whose friend claims to have witnessed the stabbing, said the girl had rejected flowers from the boy moments before he attacked her with a knife that resembled ‘a sword’. Another witness claimed she heard a girl saying she ‘didn’t want to go out with him any more’.

The bus driver and a passenger tried desperately to save the girl’s life but she died at the scene at 9.21am. Community worker James Watkins said the girl’s ‘devastated’ family were summoned to the scene this morning but were ‘unable to make it’ in time to say goodbye to their daughter.

Officers arrested a 17-year-old boy in nearby New Addington at 9.45am. Metropolitan Police Chief Superintendent Andy Brittain said police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Warsaw Mayor Blasts Zelensky

by RT

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s recent comments suggesting a lack of solidarity on the part of Poland were out of line, Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski has stated. Ukraine and Poland, one of Kiev’s staunchest allies, have been locked in a bitter row over cheap Ukrainian grain flooding the EU country.

In an interview with the privately-owned Polish broadcaster, Polsat, published on Monday, Trzaskowski characterized the Ukrainian president’s speech at the UN General Assembly in New York last Tuesday was a “very sad situation.“ He added that “of course, Zelensky exaggerated,“ and was “carried away“ in his thinly veiled criticism of Poland.

However, the mayor, who is a member of the Civic Platform party, which is in opposition to the ruling Law and Justice party, also lashed out at the way the Polish government has handled the feud. Trzaskowski argued that the issue should have been dealt with quietly but believes the government chose the path of public escalation in the hope of gaining more votes ahead of next month’s parliamentary election.

Addressing his supporters in the city of Swidnik last Friday, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki cautioned Zelensky against ever insulting “Poles again, as he did recently during his speech at the UN.

The Ukrainian head of state claimed during his UN speech that “some of our friends in Europe play out solidarity in a political theater, turning the issue of grain into a thriller.

Warsaw was quick to react to the remark by summoning the Ukrainian ambassador.

Relations between the two countries soured after Warsaw refused to lift its ban on Ukrainian grain, citing the need to protect its own farmers from the influx of cheap produce from its neighbor. Kiev, in turn, lodged a complaint with the World Trade Organization, insisting that the restrictions imposed by Poland were illegal.

The rift saw Morawiecki declare earlier this month that Warsaw was “no longer transferring weapons to Ukraine.“ The country’s president, Andrzej Duda, later toned down the message, saying that Kiev can still count on receiving obsolete weapons from Polish stocks.

Russia May Seek Extradition of Canadian-Ukrainian Waffen SS Veteran — Ambassador

by RT

Moscow may request the extradition of Yaroslav Hunka, a 98-year-old Ukrainian-Canadian veteran of the Waffen SS, Russia’s envoy to Ottawa, Oleg Stepanov, suggested on Wednesday.

“Russia is reviewing the Hunka story. May open a criminal case and subsequent extradition request,” the diplomat said in a statement.

The remarks come amid the fallout of Hunka’s appearance at Canada’s House of Commons, where he was touted as a Ukrainian “hero” who purportedly “fought for Ukrainian independence against the Russians.”

The veteran — who fought for the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS, also known as the 1st Galician Division, formed by Nazi Germany from mostly western Ukrainians during WWII and known to have committed atrocities against Jews and Poles — received a standing ovation at parliament, with PM Justin Trudeau and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in attendance.

The controversial honoring of the Nazi veteran triggered a major political meltdown in Canada and sparked anger in multiple other countries. Thus far, the scandal has led to the downfall of now-former House Speaker Anthony Rota, who resigned on Tuesday while expressing “profound regret” for his “error” to host Hunka at the legislature.

Canada’s PM apologized for the Hunka debacle on Wednesday, yet shifted the blame onto parliament’s now-former Speaker for inviting the Nazi veteran. The whole scene was “deeply embarrassing for parliament and Canada,” Trudeau stated, as he offered “parliament’s unreserved apologies for what happened on Friday.”

“The speaker was solely responsible for the invitation and recognition of this man, and has wholly accepted that responsibility and stepped down,” Trudeau stated.

Apart from Russia, Poland, which has been among the top backers of modern-day Ukraine in its fight against Moscow, has also urged a probe into potential war crimes committed by Hunka.

On Tuesday, Polish Minister of Education Przemyslaw Czarnek said he had “taken steps towards the possible extradition … in view of the scandalous events in the Canadian Parliament.” The minister also called upon Poland’s Institute of National Remembrance to “urgently examine the documents whether Yaroslav Hunka is wanted for crimes against the Polish nation and Poles of Jewish origin.”

The SS as a whole was declared a criminal organization by the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg in 1946, while multiple senior members of the paramilitary group were tried and executed for their atrocities.

Russia’s Wagner Troops Are Back on the Battlefield, Ukraine Says

KYIV — Mercenaries from the Russian Wagner Group are back fighting on the front line in Ukraine, a senior Ukrainian military official told POLITICO on Wednesday.

Several hundred fighters from the group once ruled by now-dead warlord Yevgeny Prigozhin were spotted fighting in the ranks of different Russian military units on the eastern front, said Colonel Serhiy Cherevatyi.

Wagner mercenaries had fought in Ukraine until May when they finally occupied the remains of Bakhmut, a Donetsk region town which was razed during nine months of brutal fighting. Wagner was notorious in Ukraine for mercilessly decapitating Ukrainian soldiers and killing civilians.

After Wagner was thrown into disarray following an aborted insurrection against the Kremlin in June led by Prigozhin — who subsequently died in a fiery plane crash in August — many of its troops were either welcomed to Belarus by its ruler Alexander Lukashenko or deployed to African countries where Russia has interests.

Transgender Ex-Ukrainian Military Spokesperson Repeats Threats to Journalists

by RT

The former spokesperson for the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces, Sarah Ashton-Cirillo, insists that Kiev must use all the weapons at its disposal to target Russian journalists, including sabotage.

The transgender American made the comments during several calls with Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, who were pretending to speak on behalf of former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko.

The calls are said to have taken place before and after Kiev fired the spokesperson last week following a scandal sparked by Ashton-Cirillo’s public threats to “hunt down” Russian “propagandists” around the world.

The former official told ‘Poroshenko’ that Russian journalists such as Vladimir Solovyov and Olga Skabeeva are “war criminals” and “terrorists” who should not be allowed to hide, while applauding the assassinations of Russian media representatives such as Darya Dugina, who was killed in a car bombing in August 2022.

Ashton-Cirillo claimed that Dugina was “evil” and “died the death she deserved,” and that Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova should be prosecuted.

Speaking of Russia as a nation, the former speaker said that “Russians are not Europeans,“ and that they “come from the Mongols” and are “part of a group of people that want to be slaves and want to be led.”

Elsewhere in the conversation with the pranksters, the former spokesperson revealed some issues plaguing Ukraine’s forces, stating that there is a “terrible problem with foreign fighters” because they are “just a step above mercenaries.”

Earlier this month, Ashton-Cirillo pressured CNN into changing one of their stories to say ‘Western foreign fighters’ instead of ‘mercenaries’. However, despite publicly defending the foreign volunteers, the former spokesperson admitted that most of them go to Ukraine simply because they don’t know anything except warfare and that many of them adhere to radical right-wing ideologies, with some openly supporting Nazism.

Ashton-Cirillo claimed that the presence of foreign fighters is proving to be a security risk and is detrimental to the morale of regular Ukrainian soldiers, explaining that the ones who do it “for the money” are more inclined to abuse drugs and do things to enrich themselves.

Chinese Spies Infected Dozens of Networks With Thumb Drive Malware

FOR MUCH OF the cybersecurity industry, malware spread via USB drives represents the quaint hacker threat of the past decade—or the one before that. But a group of China-backed spies appears to have figured out that global organizations with staff in developing countries still keep one foot in the technological past, where thumb drives are passed around like business cards and internet cafe’s are far from extinct. Over the past year, those espionage-focused hackers have exploited this geographic time warp to bring retro USB malware back to dozens of victims’ networks.

At the mWise security conference today, researchers from cybersecurity firm Mandiant revealed that a China-linked hacker group they’re calling UNC53 has managed to hack at least 29 organizations around the world since the beginning of last year using the old-school approach of tricking their staff into plugging malware-infected USB drives into computers on their networks. While those victims span the United States, Europe, and Asia, Mandiant says many of the infections appear to originate from multinational organizations’ Africa-based operations, in countries including Egypt, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, and Madagascar. In some cases, the malware—in fact, several variants of a more than decade-old strain known as Sogu—appears to have traveled via USB stick from shared computers in print shops and internet cafe’s, indiscriminately infecting computers in a widespread data dragnet.

North Korea Deports American ‘Asylum Seeker’ Soldier — Media

by RT

North Korean authorities decided to expel Travis King, a US soldier who fled to the country this summer, state-run media reported on Wednesday. The news was confirmed by Washington, saying that the service member was now in US custody.

According to the Korean Central News Agency, North Korean officials finished investigating the incident in which King “illegally intruded” into the country’s territory near the village of Panmunjom, located north of the de-facto border with South Korea.

The investigators said King had confessed that he entered North Korea illegally because he “harbored ill feeling against inhuman maltreatment and racial discrimination within the US Army and was disillusioned about the unequal US society.” Pyongyang had previously acknowledged last month that the soldier sought refuge in North Korea or another unspecified country due to these reasons.

In this vein, “the relevant organ of the DPRK decided to expel Travis King… under the law of the Republic,” KCNA added, referring to North Korea’s official name.

A US official, quoted by CBS News, confirmed North Korea had released King, who appeared to be in “good health and good spirits as he makes his way home.”

he agency would not say when the US soldier would leave the country or where he was headed. However, the KCNA report came after General Andrew Harrison, the deputy commander of the United Nations Command in South Korea, said in July that Washington and Pyongyang started a conversation about the release of King, a claim later confirmed by the Pentagon.

King, a 23-year-old private serving as a member of the First Brigade Combat Team, First Armored Division, “willfully and without authorization” crossed the demarcation line between North and South Korea on July 18, according to the US Department of Defense. Several US media outlets, citing US officials, reported at the time that the soldier was facing disciplinary action after being charged with assault in South Korea.

According to the Associated Press, King was escorted by the US military to a local airport to be transported back home. However, instead of boarding the plane, he reportedly joined a group of tourists near the demilitarized zone and later defected across the Armistice Line.

The US soldier became the first known American to be detained by North Korea since Bruce Byron Lowrance, who, according to Pyongyang, illegally entered the country from China in October 2018. Lowrance was released a month later, as relations between Washington and Pyongyang thawed after a landmark summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore.

Cash-for-Visas Scandal Rocks Polish Government

Warsaw’s ruling conservative party is still feeling the fallout from a cash-for-visas scandal that exposed major flaws in the country’s migration system three weeks before Poland’s all-important national elections.

The scandal first emerged earlier this month when elements of Poland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs were revealed to be selling visas through various third-party companies throughout Asia and Africa, radically undermining PiS’s stance on clamping down on immigration both domestically and across Europe.

The visa scam came to light when other European countries noticed an inordinate amount of migrants crossing their borders carrying Polish visas, with multiple officials being arrested for their role in the scandal.

EU State Plans Major Change to Asylum Rules

by RT

Finland will begin turning away bogus asylum applicants at its EU border, Interior Minister Mari Rantanen told reporters on Monday. A ministry spokesperson said the rule would also apply to non-EU migrants arriving by plane.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Rantanen said that the Finnish government is drafting rules that will empower border guards to determine whether asylum applications are “unfounded,” Finland’s Iltalehti newspaper reported.

Should an application be ruled invalid, migrants will be removed either immediately or within four weeks, a spokesperson for the Interior Ministry told the newspaper. At present, asylum applications can take up to six months to process, often at centers far from the border.

Finland’s non-EU borders are shared with Russia and Norway. According to the Finnish Immigration Service, around 1,100 Russians were awaiting decisions on their asylum applications at the beginning of September.

Finnish authorities have already attempted to restrict entry from Russia. Finland now requires that all visa applications by Russians be filed in one office in Moscow rather than the much closer city of St. Petersburg. Additionally Finland has forbidden Russian-registered cars from entering the country, and has demanded that Russian-registered vehicles already in Finland be removed within six months.

Although the latest change to asylum rules is apparently aimed at Russia, the ministry spokesperson said that it would also apply to non-EU migrants arriving in Finland by plane.

Back in June, Rantanen announced that her government would be making “a complete paradigm shift” on immigration. This shift will see Finland cut the number of refugees it takes via UN programs every year from 1,050 to 500, and revoke visas for refugees who return to their home countries for “holidays.”

“We have to react to what we’ve seen in Sweden. We’re looking to take action to make sure immigration doesn’t cause economic or security threats to Finland,” she said at the time.

After having his car keys confiscated by the police, he reportedly went on the warpath with acts of vengeful destruction, vandalizing vehicles across the city.

It is reported by the German newspaper Bild that the suspect is responsible for the smashing of 245 car windows and windshields throughout June.

MEPs Call for Alliance to Stop Migrant Boats

MEPs of the European Conservative and Reformist (ECR) Group met in Madrid for their annual Study Days starting on Tuesday, September 26th, to discuss the party’s most pressing challenges in the current legislative session. On the first day, focusing on security and border protection, the panelists agreed that the only way to solve the current migration crisis and keep Europe’s internal borders open is to ensure the external borders are fully protected, calling for a coalition of countries who are willing to defy Brussels’ threats and failed policies.

Moderating the panel, Spanish MEP Jorge Buxadé (VOX) began with some sobering statistics: According to Frontex, over 132,000 illegal entries were registered in the EU in the first six months of the year, which doesn’t even include the recent wave of record landings in Lampedusa. On the other hand, the Commission confirmed that only 20% of rejected asylum seekers have been deported.

Violent crimes, such as assaults, rapes, and murders are also on the rise. “Twenty years ago [Sweden] had the least amount of deadly shootings in the EU. Now we’re at the top,” Swedish MEP Charlie Weimers (SD) said, adding that kids in Swedish schools are being advised to dress poorly to avoid being robbed.

NYC’s Roosevelt Hotel Staff Scramble to BLACK OUT Windows With Trash Bags and Sheets After Migrants Were Spotted Sleeping on Floors and Upright Up in Chairs as 3,000 Border-Crossers Move in

The windows of the shuttered bar at New York City’s The Roosevelt Hotel, now home to 3,000 asylum seekers, have been covered with trash bags and sheets after migrants were seen sleeping on the floor and chairs.

The historic hotel, dubbed ‘the new Ellis Island’ by one city official, has become the registering point for the 300 to 500 migrants who arrive by bus every day after crossing the US-Mexico border in Texas. Many of them have been moved north by Republican governors fed up with what they say are open-arms policies by Democrats.

Migrants were seen sleeping on the floor and upright in chairs at the hotel’s former Vander Bar on Monday, hours before the windows were completely covered the next day, hiding the scene inside as the Roosevelt hit capacity, The New York Post reported.

Germany: Firewall Cracks in Thuringia Over Gender Language

Thuringia’s center-right CDU has defended a bill to ban the use of “gender language” after its federal counterpart accused it of cosying up to the conservative, anti-globalist Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD).

In its draft law, the CDU parliamentary group in Thuringia says the “use of ‘gender language’ unsettles and overwhelms people,” and “makes it more difficult to understand and therefore leads to cultural conflicts.” Furthermore, they say ‘gender language’ is an “expression of a certain socio-political view” that “questions the traditional binary gender system of men and women.”

Continuing, the draft says that the German language “with its diversity and clarity” offers satisfactory opportunities to “communicate publicly without discrimination.” Thus, spellings and special characters like the “gender star,” the “gender underscore,” or a “colon within the word” ought to be prohibited in schools and government administration.

  1. If “rapefugees” are trying to claim asylum by claiming to be “gay”, I think we should test their claims by inserting baseball bats up there, where the sun doesn’t shine.

    • Perhaps.

Throwing them in a prison cell full of bull queers would be another way to find out.

Or, just subject them to the same penalties they would face in their countries of origin.

Either way its missing the point that they are illegal invaders. The declaration that they are gay in addition to being in the country illegally should be irrelevant.

If one wants to be humane, perhaps locking them up as enemy combatants would be appropriate. My view is that they are invaders and not wearing a uniform and therefore fall under the category of spies and saboteurs and thus not protected under the Geneva Convention. Execution by firing squad or hanging is therefore appropriate.
