3 Arrested, 1 Fatally Stabbed in Suspected Home Invasion Gone Awry in Covington

A suspected home invasion in Covington did not go as planned for four suspects when the victim fought back, resulting in one suspect’s death and the other three being arrested, Newton County officials said Thursday.

Randell Whitley, 39, of Newborn, was stabbed during the May 5 incident, the Newton sheriff’s office said. He was taken to the hospital but later died from his wounds.

The sheriff’s office identified the other three suspects as Margie Love, 35; Anthony McDonald, 18; and Garrett Blackwell, 21.

Just before 8:30 p.m. the night of the incident, the group went to the home of Love’s ex-partner on Ga. 162, the sheriff’s office said. They confronted the victim and forced their way into the house before a fight began, officials said. During the fight, Whitley was fatally stabbed.

Love and McDonald were arrested and charged with first-degree home invasion, murder and aggravated assault, the sheriff’s office said. Blackwell later turned himself in at the Newton County Jail and is facing the same charges.

Man Indicted on 98 Charges Including Hate Crimes for 2022 Shooting at Taiwanese Church in California

SANTA ANA, Calif. — A man accused of fatally shooting one person and wounding five others at a Southern California church luncheon last year has been charged with dozens of federal hate crimes in connection with the attack, which investigators said was motivated by political hatred of Taiwan.

The indictment announced Thursday by the U.S. Department of Justice charges David Chou, of Las Vegas, with 98 counts including weapons and explosives charges and forcefully obstructing the free exercise of religion.

Messages seeking comment from attorneys who have represented Chou, 69, in a separate case in state court were not immediately returned.

Authorities said Chou chained and nailed shut exit doors before launching the attack on a gathering of older parishioners from the Irvine Taiwanese Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods on May 15, 2022.

Chou had two handguns, bags of ammunition and four Molotov cocktail-style devices, and was motivated by hatred of Taiwan, where he grew up, investigators said.

Among the charges were 45 counts of obstructing free exercise of religious beliefs by force, “which resulted in the death of one person, included attempts to kill 44 others, and involved the use of a firearm and attempted use of explosives and fire,” the Justice Department said in a statement.

1 OPP Officer Killed, 2 Others Injured in Shooting in Bourget, Ont.

Victim identified as Sgt. Eric Mueller, 1 person in custody

One Ontario Provincial Police officer has died, and two others were injured, after they were shot in the eastern Ontario community of Bourget in the municipality of Clarence-Rockland early Thursday morning.

The officer who was killed has been identified as Sgt. Eric Mueller, according to OPP Commissioner Thomas Carrique.

“We anxiously await for further word on his fellow officers who are still at hospital,” Carrique said in a post on Twitter Thursday morning.

Just after 2 a.m., Mueller and two other officers were called to a disturbance at a home on Laval Street in Bourget, OPP said.

Someone had reported hearing a gunshot.

When the officers arrived, all three were shot by someone at the home, OPP said. They were taken to hospital in Ottawa, where one of them died. The two others are recovering; their conditions were not released.

OPP say one person has been arrested, and that there is no danger to the public. Officers from the Ottawa Police Service are assisting.

Astronomers Capture Largest Cosmic Explosion Ever Witnessed

Fireball ‘100 times the size of the solar system’ thought to have been caused by gas being sucked into supermassive black hole

It started as an unremarkable flicker in the night sky. But closer observations revealed that astronomers had captured the largest cosmic explosion ever witnessed, an event thought to have been triggered by a giant cloud of gas being gobbled up by a supermassive black hole.

The flare-up, traced to 8bn light years away, is more than 10 times brighter than any known supernova and has so far lasted more than three years, making it the most energetic explosion on record.

“It went unnoticed for a year as it gradually got brighter,” said Dr Philip Wiseman, an astronomer at Southampton University who led the observations. It was only when follow-up observations revealed how distant it was that astronomers appreciated the event’s almost unimaginable scale.

“We’ve estimated it’s a fireball 100 times the size of the solar system with a brightness about 2tn times the sun’s,” Wiseman said. “In three years, this event has released about 100 times as much energy as the sun will in its 10bn-year lifetime.”

Scientists believe that the explosion, known as AT2021lwx, is the result of a vast cloud of gas, possibly thousands of times larger than our sun, plunging into the inescapable mouth of a supermassive black hole. The cloud of gas may have originated from the large dusty “doughnut” that typically surrounds black holes — although it is not clear what may have knocked it off course from its orbit and down the cosmic sinkhole.

Blast at Residential Building in Germany Injures 12; Suspect Detained

BERLIN (AP) — German police have detained a suspect in connection with an explosion at a residential building that injured at least a dozen people Thursday, some of them seriously, a senior security official said.

The interior minister of North Rhine-Westphalia state, Herbert Reul, said 10 firefighters and two police officers were injured in the blast at a high-rise building in the town of Ratingen.

A body was also recovered from the building, he said. The identity of the person and the circumstances of their death weren’t immediately known.

Firefighters and police were called to the building in the morning after concerns were raised about two residents.

Following the explosion, heavily armed officers took up positions around the site, with television footage showing police snipers positioned on a balcony across the road from the building as smoke poured out of a top-floor apartment.

Hours later a suspect, believed to be in his 60s, was brought out of the building, police spokesperson Diane Dulischewski told German news channel n-tv. She couldn’t immediately provide further information on the man.

Ratingen is located on the northeastern outskirts of Duesseldorf, the state capital.

Italy: Van Carrying Oxygen Tanks Explodes in Milan; Driver Injured

MILAN (AP) — A van that was transporting oxygen tanks to a nearby medical facility exploded in the center of the Italian city of Milan on Thursday, forcing the evacuation of a school and residential apartment buildings. The driver suffered minor injuries.

Images on Sky TG24 show a plume of dark smoke rising from a narrow street near Porta Romana, where flames scorched nearby cars and motorcycles and exploded windows in adjacent buildings, including the school. Firefighters quickly brought the flames under control.

The driver of the van suffered an injury to his hand when he tried to douse the flames, firefighter Carlo Cardinali told reporters at the scene. The driver was treated at the scene and transported to a hospital.

It wasn’t immediately known what sparked the explosion, but Cardinali said the rapid spread of the flames was due to the quantity of explosive material on board. Law enforcement was investigating.

If he makes further inroads into the interests of the deep state, he should probably remember what happened to John and Robert in 1963 and 1968.

    By Lars Hedegaard / snaphanen.dk

If I were to recommend anything to Robert F. Kennedy junior, it would be to consult a speech therapist. Apart from that, there is little to criticize the man who has dared to challenge the gangster Joe Biden as the Democratic candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

Robert F. Kennedy junior is the son of the Kennedy who was assassinated in 1968, just as he looked set to win the Democratic primary. The new Kennedy’s uncle, President John F. Kennedy, was conveniently killed after coming into conflict with the CIA, who are experts at killing anyone who offends their interests.

Robert F. Kennedy junior has just been interviewed by Mark Steyn and has some very thought-provoking things to say. You realize that this is what the Democratic Party looked like 60 years ago – before it became a mouthpiece for communists, lunatics and supporters of the totalitarian state.

    https://rumble.com/v2mtc00-jfk-jr-on-mark-steyn.html

It’s a long interview, but here are some of the points that struck me:

The Covid shutdowns caused a massive economic redistribution from the American middle class to the multi-billionaires. Hundreds of thousands of small businesses were forcibly closed and will never reopen. This is especially true of small businesses run by black people, who the Democrats can now rejoice that they have become customers of the state.

It is almost 40 years since I abandoned Marxism as a social explanation, but perhaps I was wrong. In any case, Kennedy describes developments in a way that old Marx would have recognized.

Marx described the state as the guardian of capitalist interests. Kennedy now does the same and points to the merging of the state with the most powerful capitalist interests. This is particularly true of the pharmaceutical industry, which effectively controls the media and thus public opinion.

Kennedy describes the Ukrainian war as a giant money laundering scheme to benefit the US military industry. President Zelensky did not want war, but was pushed into it by Ukrainian fascists supported by the US government.

That last point is debatable, but on the whole it is refreshing to hear from a Democrat who dares to rebel against the blanket of lies and oppression that has become the hallmark of his father’s old party.

In a short time, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has managed to secure the support of one-fifth of Democratic voters. If he makes further inroads into the interests of the deep state, he should remember what happened to John and Robert in 1963 and 1968.

  3. Kennedy has made several interesting comments about the Deep State. He also said he will close the southern border and institute new immigration policy, which I fear means more black and brown immigrants into the country. I don’t know what to make of him just yet.
