Six air conditioners exploded almost simultaneously in a mosque in Bangladesh during Friday prayers, killing 17 people and injuring 20 more. The explosions are thought to have been caused by a leak in a basement gas line.

Joe Biden: ‘A Black Man Invented the Light Bulb, Not a White Guy Named Edison’
Former Vice President Joe Biden lamented the fact that American schools teach that a white man invented the light bulb during a meeting Thursday with residents of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
“Why in God’s name don’t we teach history in history classes?” Biden said during the event at Grace Lutheran Church. “A black man invented the light bulb. not a white guy named Edison. Okay? There’s so much. Did anybody know?”
The Democratic presidential nominee is wrong about this facet of history. While historians argue over whether Thomas Edison can claim sole credit for creating the incandescent light bulb, his invention took shape in 1879, he patented it in 1880 — before Lewis Latimer, a black man, came up with an improvement on the design.
Latimer, an accomplished scholar and inventor, designed a carbon light bulb filament in 1881 and patented it in 1882. According to History.com, his iterative contribution to the technology greatly improved each bulb’s durability.

The BLM Takeover of NY Public Schools: Promoting Black Panther Agenda
The events of the past few months have been perilously traumatic on the American people. In the Communist Manifesto, Marx and Engels outlined their overall strategy. First of all, they stated that what they wanted was to win the battle for democracy. Second, they wanted a social revolution. The three lesbian founders of Black Lives Matter have stated they are trained Marxists. And they were trained by Bill Ayers and his Weather Underground. Antifa was founded in 1932 in Nazi Germany, they were against fascism because they loved communism…
What we are currently witnessing is not only the acquiescing with the Communist agenda, but the deceit of many of our elected officials. J. Edward Hoover referred to them in “Masters Of Deceit” as Sleepers in the Communist ranks who pose as Conservatives or Anti-Communists, but are actually those who are only waiting for the time or times when they can use their influence to either advance the Communist agenda, or to prevent action that would be detrimental to it. Violent Surge: Shootings Up 166% in NYC
NEW YORK — Hours after releasing startling statistics about gun violence, the NYPD reported three more homicides in the city.
A 44-year-old man was shot and killed at the Amsterdam Houses on the Upper West Side Wednesday night. Cedric Bennet was found in the lobby stairwell of building 70. Bennet lived in building 40 of the NYCHA complex. A 20-year-old man was shot in the face in Flatbush, Brooklyn and another man was shot multiple times in Washington Heights. Police are investigating all three deadly shootings.
The number of murders and shootings in August were dramatically higher than in the same month last year, according to NYPD statistics. It is part of a trend that has been going on for months in New York City.

Why DC Statehood is a Suicidal Gamble
D.C. officials are today running away from the plans of the mayor’s working group, but those plans testify powerfully to what an act of folly and a capitulation to political correctness it would be for the Congress to vote statehood for D.C., as Nancy Pelosi’s House did this year.
D.C. is unrepresentative of America and undeserving in any way to be raised to statehood.
Since given the franchise 60 years ago, it has never voted Republican for president. Its three electoral votes have gone to the Democrats in every election since LBJ in ‘64. Republican nominee Donald Trump got 4 percent of the D.C. vote. Hillary Clinton got 90 percent, a margin of 22-1.
Moreover, D.C. has a smaller population than 19 other American cities and is smaller in geographic size than 150 other U.S. cities. Rhode Island, our smallest state, is geographically 20 times the size of D.C.
The D.C. government has been in the headlines countless times for personal scandals and financial crises. One four-term mayor, Marion Barry, was sent to prison and returned to be reelected to office.
As for D.C. public schools, the problem is not that they are named for presidents but that they produce some of the lowest test scores in the nation.
More significant, as the protests, attended by riots since May, have shown, the D.C. government, a hostile province when a Republican is in the White House, is the domicile of a permanent regime of leftist and radical media, tens of thousands of federal and city bureaucrats, lawyers and lobbyists, all yoked to big government.

Disney’s ‘Mulan’ Faces Boycott Calls Activists in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand
Pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand have urged moviegoers to boycott Disney’s live-action remake of “Mulan” — one of the biggest releases since film production was shut down by the coronavirus pandemic.
Controversy around the movie, set in China, erupted after the lead actress, Liu Yifei, shared a post supporting Hong Kong police on the Chinese social media site Weibo, last August.
“I also support Hong Kong police. You can beat me up now,” the China-born American actress wrote in Mandarin. “What a shame for Hong Kong,” she added in English.
Liu was apparently decrying the brutality of protesters after a widely televised incident went viral, of a mainland Chinese journalist being assaulted at a Hong Kong airport. But her comments prompted an angry backlash from pro-democracy activists, who have repeatedly accused police in the region of using excessive force.

UN Forced to Admit Gates-Funded Vaccine is Causing Polio Outbreak in Africa
This really should be one of the biggest scandals in public health, but it’s given little attention — mainly because of the high-profile nature of the people and organisations involved.
The United Nations has been forced to admit that a major international vaccine initiative is actually causing the outbreak of the very disease it was supposed to wipe-out.
While international organisations like the World Health Organization (WHO) will regular boast about supposedly ‘eradicating polio’ with vaccines, the opposite seems to be the case. Their decades-long campaign to eradicate polio is now killing scores of innocent young people living in poor countries.
Now it seems that health officials are beginning to admit that their plan to stop ‘wild’ polio is backfiring, as scores children are being paralyzed a deadly strain of the pathogen derived from a live vaccine — causing a virulent of polio to spread.
[Comment: Gates did the same thing in India. There hundreds of thousands (yes, hundreds of thousands) became crippled for life with the polio strain in the oral vaccine.]

Open Borders NGO Demands Italy Take More Illegal Migrants Faster
German migrant transport NGO Sea-Watch has complained that Italian authorities have taken too long to accept the transfer of migrants to quarantine ships, after dropping off 353 migrants this week.
The NGO was able to begin the transfer to a quarantine vessel located off the coast of the Sicilian capital of Palermo. The quarantine ship, the Allegra, also saw 181 migrants transferred from Porto Empedocle and Lampedusa this week as well.

The Guardian Claims Merkel’s 2015 Migrant Gamble ‘Paid Off’, But How True is That Claim?
The Guardian has proclaimed that Angela Merkel’s decision in 2015 to allow over one million migrants enter the country was a “gamble” that “paid off”, but the piece glosses over or completely omits many of the negative impacts the migrant have had on German society and also contains at least one false claim.
The piece starts off with a success story, pointing to a Syrian refugee who finished at the top of his class, mastered the German language, and plans to study computer programming. While the story will likely appeal to those who believe Merkel made the right decision to open Germany’s borders five years ago, those with a slightly more skeptical take may view the anecdotal story as only one of many individual stories that the Guardian could have shared, many of which could have presented a far more negative picture.
For example, The Guardian did not choose to share a story about the 19-year-old Syrian refugee and ISIS supporter who has cost the German state €5 million and counting with the 24-hour police surveillance he requires in a small German town in the east of the country. The man, who has required a four-person police detail for the last three years to accompany him to the supermarket, still remains in the country despite his court-designated status as a severe terrorist threat.

Ukrainians Caught Smuggling Migrants to Greece From Turkey by Boat
Two Ukrainian men have been charged by Greek authorities after being caught trying to ferry 53 migrants from Turkey to the Greek island of Rhodes aboard a large boat.
The two brothers were initially taken into custody on August 27th after a major Greek coast guard operation rushed to help the vessel containing the migrants around 17 nautical miles off the coast of Rhodes as someone aboard had reported an engine fire.

Birmingham Council is set to create a fast track recruitment programme for ethnic minorities, force staff to undertake “equalities training” and launch a new “race equality” curriculum in schools.
Inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, which is funded by many of the world’s biggest corporations, the multicultural city will also review street names, monuments, statues, and public art displays to ensure that they “properly reflect and respect the city’s history and communities”.

Rationalizing ‘The Great Reset’
A few weeks after the World Economic Forum launched their ‘Great Reset’ initiative, it was followed up with the release of a new book titled, ‘Covid-19: The Great Reset’, authored by the executive chairman of the WEF, Klaus Schwab, and Senior Director of the Global Risk Network at the institution, Thierry Malleret.
Having read the book I wanted to share with you some initial thoughts on the potential significance of the publication.
As touched upon in my last article, there are 5 planks to the Great Reset — economic, societal, geopolitical, environmental and technological — all of which the book covers in detail. But I want to focus largely on the conclusion, as it is here where the author’s motivations and rationale for championing a Great Reset, in the wake of Covid-19, become clearer.
Schwab and Malleret characterise the future direction of the world as ‘The Post Pandemic Era’, a phrase that is repeated ad nauseam throughout. Rather than define it to a particular outcome, the authors opt instead to ask whether this new era will be marked by more or less cooperation between nations. Will countries turn inward resulting in the growth of nationalism and protectionism, or will they sacrifice their own interests for greater interdependence?
No firm prediction is made either way, but we do manage to gain a degree of insight into the authors’ way of thinking when they discuss what they call ‘the direction of the trend.’

Some thoughts on the Wuhan (oops!) virus, particularly its effect on British cities, and especially my beloved London.
I spent most of my working life (I’m 72) in retail, mainly in London’s West End, in department stores and record shops (remember them?) Since most retailers reopened in June, I’ve ventured there a few times (not least to visit an excellent coffee retailer in Soho), and it’s profoundly depressing in its relative emptiness. Of course there’s been a shift from high street to online retailers, but shops outside city centres have recovered rather more of their former clientele; the problem is mainly that so many office workers in city centres have been on furlough or are working from home; nationwide, I believe fewer than 40% have resumed their commute (75% in Germany- why?)
That’s not the only factor though; I heard a radio consumer ‘phone-in a couple of weeks ago, on which one woman living nearby told how she’d previously come to shop, visit museums and catch up with friends 2-3 times a month, and had ventured into London again, but although the tube carriage she took was near-empty, with five other occupants, four had their masks on their chins or foreheads, and the fifth had none.
I’m not arguing the merits or efficacy of masks, just the degree of confidence they instil in others. I’ve seen NO enforcement by bus drivers, nor any patrolling officials on buses, tubes or “overground” trains; apparently the staff are too frightened or intimidated. Nevertheless, is it too much to ask for people to discipline themselves?
Mark H – Last Wednesday mid morning, I walked down through the City and along the south bank to Waterloo Station. There were very few people around: a handful of buskers, some desultory joggers. I repeated the exact same route on Saturday morning, and it was packed, people of all ages, races, shapes and sizes. It looked like a scene from summer 2019, not from this one.
People are clearly not afraid to be in large crowds in the centre of the city, and their lack of presence there during weekdays has demonstrably very little to do with masks or Covid or transport any longer. It is now personal choice pure and simple; they do not wish to be there during weekdays, but they are perfectly happy to be so during their leisure hours.
I doubt it will be changing any time soon unless organisations of all hues are willing to have proactive and good faith discussions around greater flexibility in working patterns than the BC (Before Covid) era. People have had a taste of setting their own patterns and they aren’t going to be enticed out of that easily.
Trouble is, it’s not just shoppers who are wary of public transport; so are many office workers, and they spend money in the areas where they work.
The Elephant and Castle shopping centre, near me, has a large office block above; about half the shops have recently closed, or will this month.
But that was the point of my post Anonymous, people patently aren’t “wary” of public transport – the centre of city could not have been so busy at the weekend if they were. They didn’t all walk there.
It’s moved from fear to choice now, and to counter the latter there will need to be some quid pro quo.

If masks have any efficacy other than a security blanket it is likely extremely limited in usefulness. The science is doubtful since it has also become politicized.
I don’t frequent businesses that require masks unless there is no other option for the widget I need. So if this behavior has been adopted by a portion of the public then it likely has hurt the bottom line. One store I needed to purchase an item for my son’s music class had a sign respectfully asking patrons to wear masks. It was so uncommon to see a respectful request instead of a command or a demand that I voluntarily wore a mask while I patronized their store. If that was more common instead of a demand to comply then I would be more likely to frequent such businesses and wear a mask out of respect for their politeness and consideration of their customers dignity.
Here,a lot of people think that it is not a mask,and we call it muzzle.They want us to obey and be submissive,but when the space is clear and there is not an oifficer around to give us a fine(150 €),we do not use it.I use it only in the super market or if i take a bus,something that i avoid because i do not want mixing with afroasians.
Now the Ukrainians smuggling this garbage to EU. Just brilliant, Merkel is probably very happy to insist..

This was a particularly relevant call in show from him: the first part deals with the Muslim takeover of England and how a man doesn’t know how to deal with it and has seen things change rapidly, the second part deals with the demographic shift in Japan from such low birth rates.

The need for masks and increased hygiene was there long before the latest pandemic. The denial of all the possibilities associated with food handling by enrichmentals. Often with the strangest and seriously revolting. Mad. Oh well.
PS. Don’t forget gloves for all those surfaces. Western shrinking thinking needs major straightening out.
