Poland’s Economy Cannot Afford Another Coronavirus Lockdown

Like many countries across the world, Poland can ill afford a second lockdown. If not for the positive results the country saw in foreign trade, the drop in Polish GDP would have been much more severe than 8.2 percent in the second quarter of 2020, according to the newest report of Statistics Poland.

There has never been such bad data released concerning consumption and investments.

In both cases, there was a 10.9 percent decrease in the second quarter. Only so-called net exports helped the GDP grow — not because Polish companies sold more to foreign markets, but because imports to Poland decreased more slowly than exports.

AT&T Supports Trump’s Executive Order, Says Social Media Platforms Should be Politically Neutral

The telecommunications giant AT&T has shown its support for President Donald Trump’s proposal to reform Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act that would force platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, or Google to remain politically neutral in order to maintain their liability protections. For the company, this proposal is the “true net neutrality” that must be achieved.

Trump has found an unlikely ally to back his proposal to revise Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act: telecommunications giant AT&T. The ISP executives’ opinion was published in a web statement.

Buy Lots of Food and Store it Some Place Safe, Because Very Difficult Times Are Approaching

I’m just going to be very blunt with you. Things have already gotten quite crazy, but they are going to get even crazier. Global food supplies have already gotten tight, but they are going to get even tighter. When even the UN starts using the word “biblical” to describe the famine that the world is facing, that is a sign that the hour is very late. Thankfully, we are not facing famine in the short-term here in the United States, but “temporary shortages” of certain items have already been popping up, and food prices are aggressively shooting higher. Earlier today my wife stopped by the grocery store to pick up a couple of things, and one particular item that used to cost about 12 dollars was now 20 dollars instead. But thanks to the Federal Reserve, this is about as low as food prices are going to get. The Fed seems absolutely determined to crank up inflation, and that is going to have very serious implications during the times that are ahead. Right now we have a window of opportunity before the next wave of trouble comes along, and I would greatly encourage you to use this window of opportunity to buy lots of food and store it some place safe.

Some people seem to think that if they have stored up a couple months worth of food that they will be just fine.

Unfortunately, that is not the reality of what we are facing. The truth is that you should have enough food to feed every single person in your household for an extended period of time, and many of you will need much more than that. Because when things get really crazy, many of the friends, neighbors and extended family members that neglected to prepare will come knocking on your door asking for help.

There are some people that would turn away those friends, neighbors and extended family members, but I couldn’t do that. Yes, they are at fault for refusing to get prepared, but I just couldn’t turn them out into the street.

Created Crisis: They Have Lost the Coronavirus Narrative

Now Yale University Is Attempting To Manipulate People Into Taking The Vaccinations

“You never let a good crisis go to waste. And what do I mean by that; it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” —Rahm Emanuel

For anyone that is paying attention to the perpetuated fear and fraud that is being pushed on the American people by special interest groups operating through corrupt politicians in American government today, you can see clearly that they have lost the narrative no matter how hard they push their propaganda through the “useful idiots” found in the mainstream media (Luke 22:48).

It took a little bit for the people to begin to put the pieces together in exposing this preplanned agenda (Isaiah 28:18).

‘Deafening Silence’: Former Portland Police Chief Condemns Inaction From City Council on Nightly Violence

PORTLAND, Ore. — Former Portland Police Chief Derrick Foxworth Sr. is critical of elected officials for not publicly condemning violent protests in the city.

Foxworth grew up in Portland and worked as a city cop from 1981 until 2008, serving as the chief of police from 2003 to 2006.

“I have been reluctant to come out and to talk about this,” Foxworth said. “Because I didn’t want it to be a distraction. But the only reason I have done so is because I see what is happening to the Black community. My heart was broken to see a 16-year-old boy, young man, shot and killed. And there is no one out there saying anything about it.”

Democrat Mayor Calls Out National Guard; Tells Police to Shoot to Kill Any Arsonists or Looters

by Kelleigh Nelson

The “Rule of Law” and public safety are the driving forces of what forges a safe and prosperous nation. The majority of “blue city” mayors have refused to do their jobs to keep property and citizens safe. Whether you’re talking about Seattle, Kenosha, Chicago (whose Magnificent Mile is in shambles), Portland, Minneapolis, Richmond, Virginia, or Manhattan where all the high end stores are boarded up, citizens are astounded that these mayors are not supporting local law enforcement and helping stem the tide of burning, looting and murder (BLM). Many retailers will not come back after the double whammy of Covid-19 closures and destruction by communist revolutionaries. All because the “Rule of Law” is ignored.

Democrat mayors are doing nothing. Portland’s Mayor Wheeler says, “Let it burn out.” What? How many more businesses will be lost? Burn, Loot, Murder, and defund the police; crime has already escalated exponentially in these cities. Wheeler has abandoned the city’s residents. When Antifa and BLM launched explosives at the federal building with federal agents barricaded inside, nothing was done. In June of 2001, Timothy McVeigh was put to death in a federal prison for the 1995 bombing of the federal Murrah Building in Oklahoma City. Why are there no consequences for criminal behavior today?

The anarchists want to destroy our culture, traditions and heritage; they want our form of government demolished. But we have laws on the books. Advocating the overthrow of Government (18 U.S. Code § 2385) shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following conviction…

The three founders of BLM have openly stated they are trained Marxists. Patrisse Cullors and Alicia Garza were taught by none other than Bill Ayers and Eric Mann of the Weather Underground, the communist revolutionaries from Chicago, whose shared objective was to launch a race war against the “white” United States on behalf of the non-white Third World. Opal Tometi is no slouch in the communist rhetoric either.

The Weathermen were very active in Chicago in the 60s and 70s. Ayers characterized the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) splinter group as the “Red Army.” Ayers said, “Kill all the rich people.Bring the revolution home. Kill your parents.” He participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, the Capitol building in 1971, and the Pentagon in 1972.

Ayers was an active participant in the 1969 “Days of Rage” riots in Chicago. In October 1969, hundreds of young people wielding lead pipes and clad in football helmets marched through an upscale Chicago shopping district, pummeling parked cars and smashing shop windows. Thus, began the “Days of Rage,” the first demonstration of the Weathermen.

In the mayhem, nearly 300 members of the organization engaged in vandalism, arson, and vicious attacks against police and civilians alike. Their immediate objective was to spread their anti-war, anti-American message. Their long-term goal, however, was to cause the collapse of the United States and to create, in its stead, a new communist society over which they themselves would rule. Any resisters would be sent to re-education camps or killed, a number they believed was 25 million…

In March 2008 Ayers was elected (by a large majority of his peers) as Vice President for Curriculum Studies at the American Educational Research Association (AERA), putting him in a position to exert great influence over what is taught in America’s teacher-training colleges and its public schools. Specifically, Ayers seeks to inculcate teachers-in-training with a “social commitment” to the values of “Marx,” and with a desire to become agents of social change in K-12 classrooms. Whereas “capitalism promotes racism and militarism,” Ayers explains, “teaching invites transformations” and is “the motor-force of revolution.” According to a former AERA employee, ‘Ayers’ radical worldview, which depicts America as “the main source of the world’s racism and oppression,” thoroughly “permeates” AERA.

Federal Court Rules Geofence Warrants Are Unconstitutional

In another round of increasingly rare good news in the realm of privacy, individual rights and freedom, two separate US federal judges have found geofence warrants to be unconstitutional.

Geofence warrants have been around for some time now. Essentially, it’s a new investigative technique wherein law enforcement, rather than surveilling a suspect to discover if they had been at the scene of a crime, they work backwards by identifying everyone that’s been at a particular location and surveilling them until they discover which one of them is a possible suspect.

In the Human Species, All Roads Lead to Insanity

On January 1, 1958 Chinese Communist Party Chairman Mao Zedong announced his new “Great Leap Forward” for the people of China. The net result of Chairman Mao’s plans for improving the economy of China resulted in the deaths of between 20 to 46 million Chinese, mostly from starvation due to a massive, government-created famine. Mao accomplished this feat by confiscating all the agricultural crops from the nation’s farmers, leaving nothing for the farmers to eat. The people couldn’t resist, even if they wanted to, because Mao owned all the guns and controlled the military.

The current Chinese Communist Party under its leader Xi Jinping, is forcing millions of Chinese Uighur Muslims in western China into labor camps, requiring them to listen to lectures and sing hymns praising the Chinese Communist Party. Nothing has changed in 13 Chinese dynasties since 2070 BC when the first Chinese dynasty was inaugurated. Chinese oppression of its people is alive and well and has been for 4,000 years. There have been many uprising in China but none of them stuck for long.

In 1932 — 1933, Joseph Stalin did roughly the same thing to the people of Ukraine. Stalin imposed what was called collectivization, which replaced individually owned and operated farms with large state-run collectives. The farmers resisted and in retaliation Stalin confiscated their crops and deported over 50,000 Ukraine’s to the Siberian gulags. Most Ukraine-produced farm products ended up in the big cities of the Soviet Union, leaving around 7,000,000 Ukraine’s to starve. One observer wrote that “you could see the people walking about, and one would drop, and then another, and then another.” Many Ukraine’s were so emaciated that their bodies began to swell and stink. Hospital staff were seen carrying bodies out of hospitals, to be thrown into giant pits.

Dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, communist leader of Romania, (1965 to 1969) did the same thing to his farmers when he assumed power. Nicolae and his peasant wife were so cruel to the people of Romania, he was summarily executed by his own military guards. Once again, the people couldn’t resist, even if they wanted to, because Ceausescu owned all the guns and controlled the military…

There is only one free nation, America that stands in the way of perpetual wars, perpetual enslavement and starvation, perpetual crime and perpetual misery, on all continents save one. That is if Americans can prevent being sucked into the swirling vortex of utopian socialism and world government that socialist Democrats seem want to pull us.

America has become hopelessly divided by two opposing ideologies that are like oil and water to each other. Neither ideology can exist with the other in peace, much like the Islamic Sunni and Shia Moslems of the Middle East that are in constant conflict.

One of the American ideologies believes in individual freedom, God-given natural rights and Constitutional representative government. The other ideology believes in a strong central government and total dependency on government by the people, led by an Absolute Democrat Monarchy. The former leads to freedom. The latter leads to total enslavement and is truly insane…

The conservative ideology is not going quietly into the night without a whimper and in contrast to the people under dictatorships and politburos, Americans own guns, millions upon millions of them. Many of those people are trained military and have already been through several tours of war. They would rather live in peace but if war comes to them they won’t shrink from it.

One ex-military marine put it this way: (We cleaned it up a little)

“All you young and naive kids on both sides of this equation who think that having a Civil War will advance your agenda or restore your vision of what you think is America, just remember this … Those of us older generations aren’t [putting up with your crap.] And if you jump off, you better be prepared to deal with us. We don’t care what color clothes you’re wearing, or what sign you’re holding, or the color of your skin. If you come after us, our friends, our family, our co-workers, our neighbors, etc., we will kill you.”

Judge Bans UC System From Use of ACT and SAT Scores in Admissions

CALIFORNIA — The University of California system will no longer be able to use ACT and SAT tests to determine admissions, a superior court judge ruled Tuesday, removing a significant barrier for disabled students.

While the university system previously waived the standardized testing requirements and preserved them as “optional” for some campuses, a judge sided with disabled students Tuesday to do away with them entirely.

The lawsuit, comprised of five student plaintiffs from the system, argued that disabled students have not been able to access testing locations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Official: Gretchen Whitmer Will Face a Recall Effort in Michigan

The Michigan Board of State Canvassers approved two recall petitions Wednesday seeking to drive Democrat governor Gretchen Whitmer out of office over her Coronavirus emergency orders, including her “shelter-in-place” lockdown and her effort to ban elective medical procedures in the state. Some functions in Michigan are still shut down as Whitmer prolongs her unilateral control. Activists Michael Garabelli and James Makowski now have the ability to force a recall election if they put together a little more than a million signatures — which is possible if the anti-Whitmer patriot movement comes out strong to reject a governor that smeared anti-lockdown protesters at their own State Capitol as white racists.

Police Clash With Protesters Outside the White House and on BLM Plaza for a Second Night as Mob Shine Torches Into Homes in DC and Demand Residents ‘Get Out Onto the Street’ — as Portland Violence Rages on

Protests continued outside the White House for a second night Sunday, with videos emerging online of protesters clashing with police in the street and shining lights into the homes of residents chanting: ‘Out of your homes and into the streets.’

Washington DC saw violent protests in the weeks following police killing of George Floyd in Minnesota back in May, and the chaos re-erupted on Thursday, the final night of the Republican National convention, when six officers were hospitalized in demonstrations across the city.

The unrest continued into Sunday night, with a group of heavily armored officers seen moving in on a hundred-strong crowd of protesters gathered at Black Lives Matter Plaza shortly before midnight.

Portland Rioter Allegedly Stabs Two to Death Just One Week After D.A. Dropped Other Charges Against Him

Portland rioter Phillip Lawrence Nelson is now a suspect in a double-stabbing murder that occurred just one week after he was caught and let go by local law enforcement.

The original charges against Nelson of interfering with a peace officer were dropped the day after his first arrest in early June, and he was released.

Cassy Leaton and Najaf “Nate” Hobbs were found stabbed to death in Portland on June 16 after an apparent dispute over the building Nelson had been squatting in. Nelson faces two murder charges and is being held without bail.

Nelson is hardly the first — or last — left-wing rioter to be freed under an unofficial “catch-and-release” program by district attorneys in some of America’s most violent Democrat-run cities.

Professor: If Dems Win in 2020, It Would be “Virtually Impossible for Conservatives Ever to Win Again”

Ruling class would hurt Americans for “daring to reject their mastery.”

Professor Angelo M. Codevilla warns that if the Democrats win the 2020 elections, it would be “virtually impossible for conservatives ever to win again.”

Codevilla, who is professor emeritus of International Relations at Boston University, made the prediction in a review published by the Claremont Review of Books for Michael Anton’s new book The Stakes: America at the Point of No Return.

The book makes the argument that although some Americans may be disappointed in Trump’s performance, voting for him again is absolutely crucial for the republic’s survival because “this country’s ruling class would use control of the presidency to hurt us in our private and public lives for having dared to reject their mastery.”

Importing non-citizens who are then given the vote, as well as institutionalizing elections by mail, which would give those who count the votes the power, would ‘guarantee disaster’ for the country, according to Codevilla.

He then issues a stark warning; It’s game over permanently for Republicans if Trump loses in 2020.

Researcher Suspected of Transferring Info to China Arrested for Destroying Hard Drive

(THE COLLEGE FIX) — UCLA researcher Guan Lei has been arrested for destroying a hard drive during an FBI investigation into Chinese theft of sensitive software and technical data, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Lei is being charged with throwing a hard drive into a dumpster near his residence on July 25, days after initially being interviewed by investigators.

Later, Guan attempted to board a flight to China and was detained by the FBI, who asked to see his computer. When he refused, the hard drive was recovered. According to the complaint, the drive was “irreparably damaged” and “all previous data associated with the hard drive appears to have been removed deliberately and by force.”

Suspect in Killing of Trump Supporter Was Arrested and Released on Weapons Charge in July Riot

The slaying of a man linked to a pro-Trump rally Saturday in Portland, Oregon, might have been prevented had the city’s leaders chosen to prosecute rioters and followed their own gun laws, according to reports…

Indeed, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced just three weeks ago, on Aug. 11, that protesters who had recently been arrested in the city would not be prosecuted.

“As prosecutors, we acknowledge the depth of emotion that motivates these demonstrations and support those who are civically engaged through peaceful protesting,” Schmidt said of the decision, The Oregonian reported.

“We will undermine public safety, not promote it, if we do not take action to bring about immediate change,” the DA added.

Less than three weeks after reportedly being cleared for allegedly bringing a loaded gun and a knife to a violent riot, Reinoehl has become a suspect in the investigation of Danielson’s shooting death.

It’s a tragic outcome and one that, if reports are true, could have been avoided.

Portland’s leaders might be among the worst in the country; that much is established.

But the decision by the city’s very liberal leadership to selectively enforce their own gun control ordinances for people suspected of partaking in violent behavior is yet another stain on Portland’s terrible record regarding protecting its citizens from mayhem.

The Corona Virus, An Emergency or No?

In the current Covid-19 hysteria, businesses are not taken, but millions of peoples’ lives and property have been diminished by the actions of government actors and the use of emergency powers during a non-emergency. It is my opinion, because these “takings” occurred as a result of emergency measures imposed without a real emergency, that the government actors who created this situation are personally liable for the effects.

Oh, we have a lot of people proclaiming there is an emergency. But where is the beef? All of this Covid-19 hype constitutes “form over substance.” The virus is real (I know, I got sick from it), but the response is a hoax.

The governor of Idaho must agree as he suddenly thinks that Idaho needs a law on the books giving Idaho government officials immunity from their “Covid-19 actions.” He just called a special session of the Legislature in the hopes the Legislature will pass such a bill.

However, the whole idea of sovereign immunity should be foreign to our American system as it is based on the concept that “the King can do no wrong.” In the old European system, the one we fought a war to throw off, the King claimed he was God’s representative to the people and that he had a “divine right to rule.” Gosh, who could argue with the king when he spoke for God?

In his well written article entitled “Against Sovereign Immunity,” Erwin Chemerinsky’s first sentence in this article states “Sovereign immunity is an anachronistic relic and the entire doctrine should be eliminated from American law.” Chemerinsky goes on to say,

“Sovereign immunity is inconsistent with a central maxim of American government: no one, not even the government, is above the law. The effect of sovereign immunity is to place the government above the law and to ensure that some individuals who have suffered egregious harms will be unable to receive redress for their injuries.” Against Sovereign Immunity, 53 Stanford Law Review 1201, 1202 (2001).

The Fauci Files

At 79 years old, Dr. Anthony Fauci — who has served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984 — has yet to come out with the “Big One” — a vaccine or infectious disease treatment that will allow him to retire with a victory under his belt.

He failed to create a successful vaccine for AIDS, SARS, MERS and Ebola. A COVID-19 vaccine is essentially his last chance to go out in a blaze of glory. As evidenced by his history, he will stop at nothing to protect Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine and Gilead’s antiviral Remdesivir.

He even threw tried and true pandemic protocols out the window when COVID-19 hit, turning into an unquestioning spokesman for draconian liberty-stripping measures instead. To echo a question asked by Dr. Sal Martingano in his article,1 “Dr. Fauci: ‘Expert’ or Co-Conspirator,” why are we not questioning this so-called expert?

The Silent Majority: The Impact of Hidden Trump Voters

by Thomas O. Falk

The current consensus among most pollsters is that Donald Trump will lose the 2020 election — just as they claimed in 2016. However they were wrong then: could they be wrong again? Can hidden Trump voters can make the difference in pulling the President to victory once again?

What the Polls Say

The opinion polls are clear: Trump is trailing Joe Biden significantly, including in many decisive swing states (for example in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan). FiveThirtyEight gives Biden a lead of 8.4 percent at the national level. RealClearPolitics, which evaluates the nation’s main polls’ averages, sees Biden ahead of Trump by 7.1 percent.

Thus, the assumption is that Trump will lose the election and then speak of manipulation; the fear is that he will not recognize defeat and somehow steal it.

‘Unconscionable’: County Retaliates Against Church That Got Green Light to Worship

When officials in Los Angeles County were prevented by a judge from shutting down worship at Grace Community Church, by a ruling that is effective until a full court hearing later, they didn’t wait.

They struck back by issuing a notice to the church that they were canceling a lease the church has had for not quite 50 years to use a bit of county land for parking.

“This is harassment, abusive, and unconscionable,” said a statement from, Jenna Ellis, a lawyer who has been working on behalf of the church.

“Los Angeles County is retaliating against Grace Community Church for simply exercising their constitutionally protected right to hold church and challenging an unreasonable, unlawful healthy order,” she continued. “In America, we have a judicial system to ensure that the executive branch does not abuse its power, and Grace Community Church has every right to be heard without fear of reprisal.”

The statement, provided to Gateway Pundit, continued, “The Democrats’message to Americans is clear — if you do not bow to every whim of tyranny, government will come after you. The church has peacefully held this lease for 45 years and the only reason the county is attempting eviction is because John MacArthur stood up to their unconstitutional power grab.”

The essence of the problem is that the county — and other city, county and state officials across the nation — have banned events like church services claiming there is danger from coronavirus. But at the same time they have allowed — even promoted — riots in which thousands have gathered. They also have called abortion businesses and marijuana stores “essential” and said they can remain open, but ordered churches closed.

Is Macron Losing His Strategic Battle With Erdogan?

by Matt Snape

Tensions between French President Emmanuel Macron and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have been escalating since June following an incident involving a French frigate near the coast of Libya. The ship was there to enforce a NATO arms embargo and tried to search a cargo ship. However, it was targeted by Turkish naval vessels which escorted the ship away, according to Paris. Ankara said the cargo ship was carrying humanitarian aid.

The situation has only gotten worse since the incident, as Macron has sent warships to the Aegean Sea in case Erdogan does not withdraw his naval forces from the Eastern Mediterranean.

Greece is also planning to double its western territorial waters with Italy to 12 nautical miles, a right provided under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, an agreement which Turkey has not signed up to.

The Lockdown Has Gone From a Mistake to a Crime

Four months ago, I wrote a column titled “The Worldwide Lockdown May Be the Greatest Mistake in History.” I explained that “‘mistake’ and ‘evil’ are not synonyms. The lockdown is a mistake; the Holocaust, slavery, communism, fascism, etc., were evils. Massive mistakes are made by arrogant fools; massive evils are committed by evil people.”

Regarding the economic catastrophe in America and around the world — especially among the world’s poor who are dependent upon America and other first-world countries for their income through exports and tourism — I wrote, “It is panic and hysteria, not the coronavirus, that created this catastrophe.”

Unfortunately, I was right.

The world should have followed Sweden’s example. That country never locked down and has even kept children under 16 in school the entire time. As Reuters reported on July 15, the number of Swedish children between 1 and 19 years of age who have died of COVID-19 is zero. And the percentage of children who contracted the illness was the exact same in Sweden as it was in Finland, which locked down its schools.

New Book Showcases Saudi Crown Prince’s Blatant Hypocrisy

by Paul R. Brian

A new book by Wall Street Journal reporters Bradley Hope and Justin Scheck exposes the blatant hypocrisy and corruption of Saudi politics and its crown prince, deputy prime minister and minister of defense Mohammad bin Salman (MBS).

Bin Salman’s over the top behavior and ruthless actions are part of a wider pattern of many Gulf elites who act out their hard-partying fantasies in lavish playgrounds around the world and pursue money and power at any cost.

Hope and Scheck’s book Blood and Oil: Mohammed bin Salman’s Ruthless Quest for Global Power details some jaw-dropping incidents of corruption and bin Salman’s partying, such as a 2015 trip to the Maldives with a small group of other friends and colleagues where the entire island of Velaa was rented out for $50 million for a month-long celebration. Bin Salman insisted that no modern smartphones be used and took extra precautions that the time on the island would be private and would not leak to the press.

“Australian officials had an initial consular visit with Cheng at a detention facility via video link on (Thursday) and will continue to provide assistance and support to her and her family,” said Marise Payne, the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Cheng Lei is a high-profile journalist who hosted a business show at the Chinese state-run broadcaster CGTN. She had worked there for eight years, but her journalist profile is no longer available on CGTN’s website. She had previously worked at CCTV (now known as CGTN) and CNBC Asia.

Chinese Minister: Czech Senate President Crossed a ‘Red Line’ Visiting Taiwan, Which is Communist China’s Territory

“He crossed a red line. China must defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” continued Wang.

More Than 10,000 Migrants Stopped From Entering Greece This Year, Minister Says

Greek authorities have prevented thousands of migrants from entering Greece clandestinely by sea this year despite a recent lack of co-operation from the Turkish coast guard, the country’s shipping minister said Wednesday.

“Since the start of the year, the entry of more than 10,000 people has been prevented,” Plakiotakis said during a news conference. In August alone, he said, “we had 68 cases of prevention and we succeeded in 3,000 people not entering our country.”

How Can a Zippy Mouth EMOJI be Deemed Defamatory?

If our modern Indo-European languages had any reason or incentive to develop as pictographic systems over the ages — surely they would have. Instead, they are alphabetic. And using emoticons (that in turn use letters of the alphabet, and punctuation instead of images) in our digital communication as a means of abbreviating some of it, seemed perfectly sufficient for quite a while.

Then came the pure and unadulterated fad of “emoji” pictographs meant to replace and “enrich” the simple, plain emoticons
