Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/18/2019

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a podcast that a certain Democrat presidential candidate — later confirmed to be Tulsi Gabbard — was being groomed by the Russians. Ms. Gabbard responded by labeling Mrs. Clinton as “the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption”. It’s not yet known whether Ms. Gabbard is scheduled to have a serious and possibly fatal auto accident next month.

In other news, five Extinction Rebellion activists were charged in a London magistrate’s court with offenses related to actions that held up operations in the London Underground.

This is What a Recession Looks Like — Here Are 12 Big Companies That Are Conducting Major Layoffs

Do you remember what it was like in 2008 when it literally felt like no job was truly safe? It was a terrible time, and many fear that we could soon be facing a similar scenario. In recent days, big companies all across America have been laying off workers at a frightening pace. As economic activity has slowed down, a lot of firms are feeling compelled to slash their payrolls, and if a deep recession is ahead of us then what we have seen so far could be just the tip of the iceberg. In 2008 and 2009, millions of Americans lost their jobs very rapidly, and it could very easily happen again.

As I have been conducting research over the past few days, I have been struck by the stunning number of layoff announcements that are suddenly popping up in the news. Here are 12 of the most prominent examples…

#1 HP Inc: “U.S. personal computer maker HP Inc said on Thursday it will cut up to 16% of its workforce as part of a restructuring plan aimed at cutting costs. The company will cut about 7,000 to 9,000 jobs through a combination of employee exits and voluntary early retirement, it said in a statement.”

#2 WeWork: “WeWork, the co-working business once valued at $47 billion, is expected to announce significant layoffs this month, Bloomberg reports. This follows reports the company was looking to slash as many as 5,000 roles, or one-third of its workforce.”

#3 Kroger: “Kroger is laying off hundreds of employees across the family of grocery stores it owns, a person familiar with the situation tells CNBC.”

AG Barr’s Special Russia Investigator Obtained Blackberrys Tied to Launch of FBI Russia-Trump Probe

It was special investigator John Durham who acquired two BlackBerrys used by Joseph Mifsud, the Maltese professor who jumped-started the FBI’s long Russia probe into President Trump’s campaign.

Sidney Powell, attorney for retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, filed a court motion on Monday disclosing the phones’ existence while tying them to Western intelligence.

She told The Washington Times on Thursday that she has confirmed that it was Mr. Durham’s office who obtained them.

Attorney General William P. Barr assigned Mr. Durham, the U.S. attorney for Connecticut, the mission of finding out the origins of the FBI’s counter-intelligence investigation known as Crossfire Hurricane. She told The Times that a “source,” whom she declined to identify, told her about the BlackBerrys…

Alex Jones Attends Dallas Trump Rally in Armored Vehicle

Warns of Deep State assassination plot

Infowars host Alex Jones rode into a Dallas, Texas, Trump rally in an armored vehicle Thursday, using a bullhorn to shout warnings of a Deep State coup attempt against President Trump.

“The deep state is openly trying to engage in a political fake witch hunt coup!” Jones shouted outside the American Airlines Center.

“We are here telling the globalists: ‘You are not going to assassinate our president!’“

Communist Leader Mobilizes Native Americans for Democratic Victory in 2020

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) speaks at the Frank LaMere Native American Presidential Forum on Aug. 20, 2019, in Sioux City, Iowa. (Stephen Maturen/Getty Images) Judith LeBlanc, a leading member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), is organizing Native American communities in several states to turn out in high numbers for the Democratic Party in 2020.

At just over 2 percent of the population, the Native American vote could be enough to swing several key U.S. Senate races and even the presidency. LeBlanc also organized the nation’s first Native American Presidential Forum in Sioux City, Iowa—especially to lift Native American voter interest and drive turnout.

A member of the Caddo Tribe of Oklahoma, LeBlanc joined the CPUSA in 1974 and has served at the highest levels of party leadership. LeBlanc has served as a vice-chair of the party and formerly chaired its Peace and Solidarity Commission. She has traveled to Japan, Australia, Israel, Lebanon, and “Palestine” on party business, which included a 2002 meeting with the late Palestinian terrorist leader Yasser Arafat.

On Nov. 29, 2010, the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, LeBlanc “had the honor of speaking on behalf of civil society organizations to a special meeting at the United Nations,” according to the Peace Action blog.

Dallas Police Stand Down and Let Antifa Attack Reporters

‘They saw the situation was out of hand and they didn’t step in’

Update: Dallas PD had to intervene on behalf of Trump supporters after Antifa assaults escalated Thursday night.

One reporter documented clashes between Trump rally-goers and radical leftists, after which police needed to separate the two groups. ‘s’ Antifa counter-demonstrators confronted Trump supporters and attacked reporters outside the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, Thursday, as police ignored the flagrant criminality.

Antifa mobs protesting a Trump rally pursued Jones and blocked his path while attempting to drown him out with leftist chants, as he continued bull-horning in support of President Trump and in defiance of the globalists.

[Comment: Antifa = useful idiots, professional agitators, and Democrat brownshirts.]

Elijah Cummings Signed Subpoenas From His Death Bed — But Signatures on Two Subpoenas Don’t Match

It was revealed Thursday morning that longtime Democrat Congressman Elijah Cummings (MD) died at the age of 68 on Wednesday.

Cummings was the Chairman of the very powerful House Oversight Committee and he was pumping out subpoenas while he was in hospice.

In fact, it was revealed that he signed subpoenas from his death bed just hours before he died.

Or did he?

The signatures on Cummings’s October 16 subpoenas look completely different from a September 30 subpoena so people are asking who really signed the documents.

Florida Man Friday: Naked Man Steals American Flag From Yacht

Not even experts armed with research grants and crack pipe decoys can agree if Florida Man is actually any crazier than, say, Texas Man, Oregon Man, or even (more on this later) Russian Man. But what we can say for sure is that thanks to Florida’s aptly-named sunshine law, we know far more about Florida Man than we do about other men. So if a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then surely this much knowledge must verge on deadly — like catching ebola crossed with a flesh-eating bacteria while bungee jumping over shark-infested waters without the bungee cord after eating the brown bath salts.

But we fear no danger, provided we can follow Florida Man from behind the safety of our computer monitors. So please join me on another thrilling…

Google’s Auto-Delete Tools Are Practically Worthless for Privacy

By the time Google deletes your activity data, it’s already extracted most of the advertising value.

By default, Google collects a vast amount of data on users’ behavior, including a lifelong record of web searches, locations, and YouTube views.

But amid a privacy backlash and ongoing regulatory threats, the company has started to hype its recently released privacy tools, like the ability to automatically delete some of the data it collects about you—data that helps power its $116 billion ad business.

With a trip to Google’s activity controls page, you can choose to purge that data on a rolling three-month or 18-month basis. The company pitches this tool, along with the ability to manually delete data through Google’s activity pages, as one of many ways users can control their privacy…

In reality, these auto-delete tools accomplish little for users, even as they generate positive PR for Google. Experts say that by the time three months rolls around, Google has already extracted nearly all the potential value from users’ data, and from an advertising standpoint, data becomes practically worthless when it’s more than a few months old.

Hillary Clinton Attacks Tulsi Gabbard and Gets Absolutely Wrecked in Response

After CNN pretty clearly tried to handicap Tulsi Gabbard at the Democrat primary debate earlier in the week, she’s been the topic of several stories. She chimed in during an interview to take a very direct shot at the Hawaii Congresswoman.

I don’t recall any other presidential election where the loser continued on for months and months and months claiming to not really have lost.

Inside TurboTax’s 20-Year Fight to Stop Americans From Filing Their Taxes for Free

Intuit’s QuickBooks accounting product remains a steady moneymaker, but in the past two decades TurboTax, its tax preparation product, has driven the company’s steadily growing profits and made it a Wall Street phenom. When Smith took over in 2008, TurboTax was a market leader, but only a small portion of Americans filed their taxes online. By 2019, nearly 40% of U.S. taxpayers filed online and some 40 million of them did so with TurboTax, far more than with any other product.

But the success of TurboTax rests on a shaky foundation, one that could collapse overnight if the U.S. government did what most wealthy countries did long ago and made tax filing simple and free for most citizens.

For more than 20 years, Intuit has waged a sophisticated, sometimes covert war to prevent the government from doing just that, according to internal company and IRS documents and interviews with insiders. The company unleashed a battalion of lobbyists and hired top officials from the agency that regulates it. From the beginning, Intuit recognized that its success depended on two parallel missions: stoking innovation in Silicon Valley while stifling it in Washington. Indeed, employees ruefully joke that the company’s motto should actually be “compromise without integrity.”

More Lies: Mark Zuckerberg Lies, Suggests Facebook Does Not Censor Conservatives — Facebook Censored Trump’s Account Just Last Year

Zuckerberg told the college students and later Dana Perino that he believes in free speech.

Mark Zuckerberg: My belief is that in a democracy I don’t think we want private companies answering politicians in the news. I generally believe that as a principle people should decide what is credible, what they want to believe and who they want to vote for and I don’t think that is something we should want tech companies or any kind of other company doing.

This was an absolute lie.

The Democrat mainstream media can be consumed with a complete hoax on Russia and Trump for two years and never get dinged by Facebook.

In contrast, EVERY SINGLE PRO-TRUMP PUBLISHER has seen the traffic eliminated or greatly reduced. There are few exceptions.

And when Zuckerberg says he doesn’t think private companies should be answering politicians in the news — This is exactly what Facebook has been doing.

  • In fact in 2018 Facebook even censored President Trump’s Facebook page. In contrast, Liz Warren and Bernie Sanders’s pages were untouched.
  • Facebook deleted “Women for Trump” Facebook ads in August.
  • Facebook blocked Dan Scavino, President Trump’s social media chief.
  • And JUST LAST WEEK — Facebook deleted “Donald Trump is Our President” Facebook fan page with 3,276,000 fans!

Newly Discovered Microbes Band Together, ‘Flip Out’

When researchers in Nicole King’s lab looked through a microscope at the strange organisms they had collected in Curaçao, they saw sheets of cells clustered together in a pattern that resembled skin. That was unusual enough, since these unicellular organisms are normally loners. But then they did something really bizarre: The sheets “flipped” from a shallow cup shape into little ball-like structures and starting swimming around.

“It was fantastic,” says King, a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator at the University of California, Berkeley. No one had ever seen such coordinated movements in these tiny aquatic microbes, known as choanoflagellates. The simple-looking organisms share a common ancestor with animals and may hold clues to how early animals evolved. King’s team reports their discovery of the new species, Choanoeca flexa, and a detailed description of its acrobatic maneuvers October 17, 2019, in the journal Science.

RNC Raises Record-Setting $27.3 Million in September, Amid Impeachment Push

EXCLUSIVE: The Republican National Committee raised a record-setting $27.3 million in September and had $59.2 million cash on hand last month amid the impeachment push against President Trump — which has fueled GOP campaign contributions heading into the 2020 election.

The RNC’s September fundraising haul is the best off-cycle month in the history of both the Republican and Democratic parties. This cycle, to date, the RNC has more than doubled the Democratic National Committee’s fundraising efforts, according to the GOP, which also noted that the Democrats, as of last month, carried $7.3 million in debt.

The Stakes Are High for President Trump!

Keeping up with all the news both economically and geopolitically has been difficult at times, especially recently. However, it is vital to understand exactly what’s going on in this country today.

First, there’s the problem of globalism. It’s spreading quickly and there seems to be no stopping it. President Donald Trump is probably trying to make his best attempt.

It is unfortunate, but just in case you didn’t get the memo, the world that you inherited from your parents and grandparents is gone now. The America that existed before the Great Recession of 2008-2009, a time when jobs were secure and everybody worked at the same company until they retired at 65, is now a distant memory, never to return in your lifetime.

Slowly at first and astronomically quickly, later on, the Chinese economy went from the poorest on earth and into the slot of 2nd largest economy and it will be FIRST in less than a decade. President Trump is looking to shift global supply chains to North America, to bring back quality jobs, to enforce westernized policies and standards on the Chinese economy.

President Trump has taken on the tough mission of finding common ground with them, assessing the threat and dealing with it, however difficult and unpopular it may be. Tariffs have been put in place, retaliation on the other hand ensued; the stakes are high! It’s a massive undertaking and Donald is going for it. If successful, he can change the course of history, since the Chinese have major aspirations.

The battle is on and many don’t seem to want to take it laying down. Trump is currently and ongoingly the subject of a massive witch hunt! This isn’t new news to most people, but so many are trying so hard to stop him, it’s impossible to see this as anything other than a witch hunt — and a war over the minds of Americans.

Of all the wars in the world today, few are as fierce or uncompromising as the war of public opinion in America. Across multiple generations and through presidents of both dominant political parties, the animosity of the mainstream media towards Donald Trump has never been matched, and it’s tearing at the fabric of the nation. Beto O’Rourke has called Trump a white nationalist, MSNBC talk show host Joy-Ann Reid has deemed him “a risk to national security,” and The New York Times CEO Mark Thompson has used invectives like “hostile,” “stupid,” and “dangerous” in reference to the President. Call it political theater if you wish, but there’s an element of demonization that seems to cross the line here, even by American media standards (if such standards exist).

All of this is happening while Trump is pushing for zero interest rates. There’s good and there’s bad when rates are zero, but the real reason Trump wants them that low is to solve the national debt problem facing the U.S.

Twitter War Breaks Out Between “Russian Asset” Tulsi Gabbard and “Warmongering Queen” Hillary Clinton

Democratic presidential candidate and Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard — who like Trump was quickly put in the crosshairs of the military industrial complex, the deep state and the pro-war Atlantic Council for her de-interventionist foreign policy — fired back at Hillary Clinton, accusing her of being behind a “concerted campaign” to destroy her reputation and challenged her to stop hiding and enter the 2020 presidential race. Earlier in the day, Hillary Clinton floated a conspiracy theory that the Russians are “grooming” the Hawaii congresswoman to be a third-party candidate in 2020, while claiming 2016 Green Party nominee Jill Stein is “also” a Russian asset.

“Great! Thank you Hillary Clinton,” Gabbard tweeted late on Friday afternoon. “You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain.”

Exposed: Bank of England is Behind Climate Change Hoax

Mark Carney, the governor of the Rothschild’s Bank of England, issued a warning that companies and industries that are not moving towards zero-carbon emissions will be punished by investors and go bankrupt:

Mark Carney also told the Guardian it was possible that the global transition needed to tackle the climate crisis could result in an abrupt financial collapse. He said the longer action to reverse emissions was delayed, the more the risk of collapse would grow…

Reading between the lines, the veiled threat couldn’t be more obvious — Rothschild is willing to threaten the world with a global economic collapse if they don’t fall in line and go along with their “Green Revolution,” but the only thing that’s going to get “greener” is the Rothschild’s bank accounts, not the environment.

UK: Last Call for Boris Johnson’s Brexit Bus

“We’ve got a great new deal that takes back control,” British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted after last minute negotiations with European Union leaders in Brussels. The deal will now require the approval of both the European Parliament and UK Parliament — who have so far tried everything they can to derail the UK’s exit from the European Union (EU). According to the BBC:

MPs have voted to hold an extra sitting in the Commons on Saturday to discuss the next steps.

Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove said the government would hold a vote on the deal and was not “not contemplating defeat”.

But, he added, if the plan did not get the backing of MPs, the alternative was leaving without a deal.

UK: Poll: Just 8% Fully Support Extinction Rebellion

A new poll has found that just 8% of people support the message and methods of protest used by Extinction Rebellion, suggesting the group’s recent activism has been a total failure.

A survey for the Telegraph newspaper reveals that 54% of respondents think the climate change protests have been a “waste of time” and that the demonstrators are “protesting for the sake of protesting.”

A further 12% think “everyone has a right to protest, but don’t agree with them” and 26% “agree with the cause” but disagree with “how they go about protesting.”

That leaves just 8% who fully support the movement’s message and their methods of protest.

US-Brokered Ceasefire in Syria Already Shattered by New Turkish Airstrikes

In an entirely unsurprising development, it only took hours for Turkey to break the US-brokered deal for a 5-day ceasefire in northern Syria. The late Thursday newly inked ceasefire was announced by Vice President Mike Pence following a lengthy meeting with President Erdogan; it crucially involved allowing Kurdish fighters to evacuate battleground border towns and in exchange Turkey would agree to halt its offensive.

But new Turkish air strikes near the border town of Ras al-Ain have shattered the apparently fragile agreement. “Five civilians were killed in Turkish air strikes on the village of Bab al-Kheir, east of Ras al-Ain,” one Syrian war monitoring group cited in the AFP said. Four SDF fighters were also reported killed in that strike, according to the report.

Trump’s Inner Circle Pushed Him to Cave to China and Cut Trade Deal

Shortly after leaving CNBC and joining the Trump Administration — taking a job as Trump’s top economic advisor, which had recently been vacated by former Goldman President Gary Cohn — the fintwit brain trust spent a few days obsessing about how Kudlow would reconcile himself with Trump’s protectionist bent.

In the end, it was pretty straightforward. As Kudlow transitioned into the role of parroting the administration’s economic message on cable news shows, he told his interviewers about the concept of “fair trade”. Kudlow explained that while he’s a believer in free trade, the Chinese have been taking advantage of the US for decades, and that he supports President Trump’s efforts to put a stop to it. With that, Kudlow became the White House’s preeminent “fair trade” warrior.

But as it turns out, Kudlow hasn’t entirely forsaken the Chamber of Commerce-led American pro-business establishment. And as WSJ reported Friday morning, Kudlow last week organized a meeting in the Oval Office with “outside experts” on trade who reportedly warned Trump that further escalation of the US-China trade war might threaten the stability of the American economy, and hurt Trump’s election chances.

It’s the first sign yet that even Trump’s top economic advisors are pushing him to cave to Beijing and strike a deal on trade that would, in all likelihood, involve raising most, if not all, of the tariffs that Washington has imposed on Chinese goods.

[Comment: Chamber of Commerce is a globalist organization. It’s goal is ensure gloalist owned businesses make money, no matter what. That’s why their goals are often anti-American, despite their propaganda.]

Praying Mantis Species Which Looks and Acts Like a Wasp to Scare Off Predators is Discovered in the Amazon

A new type of praying mantis that behaves and moves erratically like a wasp has been discovered near the Amazon river in Peru.

Researchers at Cleveland Museum of Natural History say the mantis, which was first seen in 2013 but only recently identified, is the first to mimic a wasp.

The discovery was made by Curator of Invertebrate Zoology, Dr Gavin Svenson and former Case Western Reserve University graduate student, Henrique Rodrigues, when they caught the insect in a light trap.

Its bright coloration, wasp-like shape and unusual behaviour immediately caught the team’s eye — they now understand these adaptations are to ward off predators.

European nations are receiving far more asylum applications than in 2018, as officials warn that a new migration crisis is fast developing.

Hungary: Force Will be Used to Protect Border if Turkey Opens Gates

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has declared that Hungary would be forced to “use force” at its southern border to protect the European Union if Turkish President Erdogan makes good on his promise to ‘open the gates’ and ‘flood’ Europe with migrants.

“If Turkey sets off further hundreds of thousands on top of (existing migrant flows), then we will need to use force to protect the Hungarian border and the Serbian-Hungarian frontier and I do not wish for anyone that we should need to resort to that,” Orban said.

In 2015, Orban built a steel barrier on Hungary’s southern border with Serbia to put an end to the Balkan migration route after hundreds of thousands of third-world migrants made their way to Western Europe from the Middle East during the migrant crisis.

Turkey is now holding a gun to the EU’s head. Erdogan and other top officials have continually threatened to flood Europe with the nearly 4 million Middle Eastern migrants currently held up in Turkey.

Largest Patriotic Channel Red ICE TV Banned From YouTube

YouTube has just banned the largest patriotic channel, Red Ice TV which had about 350,000 subscribers, for alleged hate speech. The channel has long been suffering censorship, shadowbanning and oppression from YouTube, they had many videos deleted, demonetized, notifications did not reach out and so on and now the cherry on top of the cake they got their channel deleted altogether.

There is no such thing as hate speech, the US Supreme Court has ruled in 2017, its either Free Speech or censorship. Hate speech does not exist, its a globalist disgusting invention and banning you from platforms based on that is basically illegal and unconstitutional.

YouTube has become a ghetto of the internet, a disgusting platform based on censorship and oppression of white people advocating for their rights, with now only dumb HA HA HA videos only being allowed, its all about the HA HA HA, the culture of laughter, idiocracy and entertainment, pranks, unboxings and anything at all that is NOT political and if it is political, it can’t be right wing, it must be left wing.

Governor Mark Carney is Canadian, possibly genuinely conviced of the case for anthropogenic climate change, and not Jewish so far as I know. This is sounding like an antisemitic meme, JD.
