Italy Should Use Recovery to Cut Debt — IMF

Same advice for France, UK

(ANSA) — New York, November 13 — Italy was among several European countries that the IMF on Monday told to take advantage of the economic recovery to cut its public debt in its Regional Economic Outlook for Europe. It gave the same advice to Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain and Britain.

The IMF repeated the forecast it gave in its World Economic Outlook in October that Italy’s debt-to-GDP ratio for 2017 will be 133%.

Italy: BoI Responds to CONSOB Claim Veneto Banca Probs Not Reported

M5S bemoans dramatic show, PD says alarming

ANSA) — Rome, November 9 — Angelo Apponi, the director general of stock-market regulator CONSOB, said Thursday that the Bank of Italy did not signal any problems regarding Veneto Banca ahead of a capital increase in 2013. The medium-sized lender was recently taken over by Intesa following a government intervention that prevented a bankruptcy that would have rocked the country’s banking system.

Apponi was reporting to a parliamentary commission of inquiry into Italy’s banking crisis. Bank of Italy oversight chief Carmelo Barbagallo told the commission that it reported to CONSOB in November 2013 that Veneto Banca’s price for a capital increase was “incoherent with the economic situation, given the crisis that was ongoing”. He also said the central bank considered the price off the mark because of the “negative income performance in 2012”.

Barbagallo said that, in his opinion, this “was sufficient to trigger a CONSOB warning”. 5-Star Movement (M5S) premier candidate Luigi Di Maio said Thursday that CONSOB and the Bank of Italy were putting on a “dramatic show”. “They are kicking up a row and in this way they are putting us in serious difficulty with the international community,” he said. “It is clear that those who have watched over things up to now cannot keep doing so”. Democratic Party (PD) President Matteo Orfini said Thursday that the picture emerging from the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the banking crisis was “serious, grave and alarming”. “It shows we were right to want to set up this commission,” Orfini said via Twitter. “And (we were right) to day the oversight system had serious shortcomings”. The PD presented a motion in parliament critical of the Bank of Italy’s handling of the banking crisis before Governor Ignazio Visco was recently given a second term by the government. The parliamentary commission of inquiry into the Italian banking system crisis on Thursday cancelled a scheduled cross-examination of Bank of Italy and CONSOB representatives. Commission chair Pier Ferdinando Casini said “differences of opinion have only emerged over assessments, not over the facts”.

PD leader and ex-premier Matteo Renzi said “the commission of inquiry into banks, wanted by the Pd, is working well to understand who made mistakes. And those who erred must pay: that’s not populism it’s justice”. Renzi went on to say that banking oversight systems had failed and that a savers’ fund must now be set up. He said the government reform of ‘Popolari’ savings banks had “saved a system betrayed by a lack of checks”.

Dartmouth Professor to Donate Half of Book Proceeds to Antifa

A Dartmouth College professor plans to donate half of the proceeds from his latest book to Antifa, the radical protest group labeled as “domestic terrorists” by the federal government.

Mark Bray, a lecturer at the elite college, gained popularity after publishing Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook, in which he openly admits that the group rejects the classical understanding of free speech.

“At the heart of the anti-fascist outlook is a rejection of the classical liberal phrase incorrectly ascribed to Voltaire that ‘I disapprove of what you have to say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it,’“ the professor writes, noting that “after Auschwitz and Treblinka, anti-fascists committed themselves to fighting to the death the ability of organized Nazis to say anything.”

While it is unclear how personally involved Bray is in the organization, a recent profile of the controversial professor in The Chronicle of Higher Education briefly notes that he plans to donate half of the proceeds from his book to an unnamed fund that helps support the legal, medical, and personal expenses of Antifa activists.

Health worker dismissed by health authority says lawyer

(ANSA) — Treviso, November 13 — A nurse who is under investigation for allegedly pretending to give children vaccinations for several years without actually administering them has been dismissed by the local health authority, her lawyer said on Monday.

The woman allegedly carried out the fake vaccinations in Codroipo, near Treviso, between 2009 and 2015 and then in the province of Treviso following a transfer. The case came to light when the woman’s colleagues became suspicious about the fact that the children never cried when being vaccinated by her.

Italy: Probe for Spurring Suicide in Kabul Armoured Car Fraud Case

Colonel Antonio Muscogiuri, 50, found hanged in April

(ANSA) — Bolzano, November 10 — Prosecutors in Bolzano confirmed to ANSA Friday that they have opened a probe into suspected instigation to suicide in relation to the death of Colonel Antonio Muscogiuri.

The officer, 50, was found hanged April 6 a few days after his indictment was requested along with another five officers for aggravated military fraud in connection with armoured cars provided to the Italian contingent in Afghanistan which turned out to be more lightly armoured than regulations stipulated.

On April 20 the five were indicted by a Rome military court. The autopsy confirmed suicide.

Merkel Has One Day Left to Form New Government or Face New Election

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is scrambling to form a new government by the Friday deadline to avoid another election.

Merkel is set for a fourth term as chancellor when her Christian Democratic Union (CDU) won the general election Sept. 24. The party has been stuck in negotiations with potential coalition partners for nearly two months without agreeing on a common platform.

The task of forming the country’s first-ever three-way coalition has been more difficult than expected. Merkel’s conservatives picked the Green party and the pro-business Free Democrats as the primary option for the new government.

The trio have failed to agree on issue regarding the environment, immigration and military spending. Despite reported progress in recent days, a new election has emerged as a serious alternative with time running out.

Zimbabwe: Military Chief Puts Mugabe Under House Arrest; Says Takeover ‘Not a Coup’

Zimbabwe’s military has told regional leaders its move to seize power from President Robert Mugabe and take over his Government’s institutions is “not a coup d’etat”, regional officials say.

“The military have reassured us this is not a coup d’etat,” Moussa Faki Mahamat, the head of the African Union Commission, said.

“The African Union is against any unconstitutional change of government.”

Soldiers seized the state broadcaster yesterday and a general appeared on television to announce the takeover, as armoured vehicles blocked roads to main government offices, Parliament, and the courts.

In the televised statement, Zimbabwe’s military said it was keeping Mr Mugabe and his wife Grace “safe and sound” while targeting “criminals” in the entourage of the only ruler the country has known in its 37 years of independence…

Why is the UN Protecting Child Rapists?

After decades of horrors, somebody has finally decided to “do something.” The United Nations and its “peacekeeping” forces have long been known as a haven for pedophiles, child molesters, and rapists — a place where men willing to put on UN blue helmets can get guns, access to vulnerable children, and even “diplomatic immunity” to protect them from justice for their ghastly crimes. UN so-called aid workers are also deeply involved, according to top UN officials. Estimates suggest there are some 60,000 sexual abuse victims of UN officials each decade, maybe more. And so far, with the UN protecting the child rapists and abusers from prosecution, very little has been done to deal with the horrifying crisis.

  1. Mark Bray; what an appropriate moniker for a diarrhea-of-the-mouth liberal professor. Sounds like a real ass.

  2. “Nurse sacked over ‘pretend’ vaccinations”

I wanted to say ‘what a hero’, as I don’t trust vaccinations ever since every ‘doctor’ argues with common sense and science, but nobody ever comes up with a valid science with which to support their claim. I mean statistics, experiments, statistics, etc… And on top of that, I just love the ‘herd immunity argument’, by which crazy doctors pursue the claim that every unvaccinated child is in fact a deadly bacteria carrier, and should be put to death – or burned at the stake for it being a ‘biohazard’…

Now I worked with animal vaccinations for quite some time, and I know that out of lets say 17 available vaccines, only 3 or 4 would ever work, and the rest were antibiotics and growth hormones illegally disguised as vaccines. There I saw the hard data, because ‘higher growth rate’ for the poor little animals was a strong selling point for something they called ‘a vaccine’.

So, I am terrified of any scheme that would make vaccinations mandatory! Terrified I tell you. Because that would make our little human society a true ‘Animal Farm’.

So, where does this ‘nurse’ who faked vaccinations come from?

I mean, just two weeks ago, our Czech pharma lobby ran a number of MSM articles about how they want to criminally prosecute any doctor that would fake vaccinations, and that they demand ‘laws’ to protect us poor animals at our farm by jail sentences for these rogue doctors and so on.

That is why I suspect this ‘nurse’ migt be just a newspaper artillery preparation before invasion – I mean – mandatory vaccination laws with criminal sentences and everything, to inject us animals with whatever comes across the lobby…

    It is just a thought.

    • Complacency allows Big Pharma, assenting doctors and willing governments to implement part of the Globalist agenda – Vets now insert ‘identification chips’ into pets and in some areas of the United States, Wisconsin comes to mind, some folk willingly have ‘identity chips’ inserted into their bodies to keep their job.

Complacency makes sheep out of those who fail to question authority and its many, many human abuses.

  3. The left is going to take this anti-sex crusade so far that the only children left in the West will be Muslim rape babies:

    https://yougov.co.uk/news/2017/11/01/sexual-harassment-how-genders-and-generations-see-/

The right also needs to be wary of the current hysteria, because the left is trying to create and atmosphere where this topic can be used to attempt to impeach Trump.

To this end, there is already a showcase story about, “Trump’s Forgotten Accusers,” in People magazine.
