More than 50 Sri Lankan asylum-seekers are adrift in a small boat off an Indonesian island. They have run out of fuel, but refuse to leave their boat. They say they will go on a hunger strike unless they are provided with enough fuel to reach their destination, which is Australia.
In other news, the Russian government is planning to destroy plutonium from decommissioned nuclear warheads by using it to create electricity in a special new power plant.
