Gates of Vienna News Feed 1/31/2012

Gates of Vienna News Feed 1/31/2012This, the final news feed for January, was scheduled for posting before I left to go out of town, so there may be urgent breaking news which isn’t included.

If you have been leaving comments that haven’t been approved, it’s probably because Dymphna has not been at the computer. Be patient; when she is feeling well enough, she’ll take care of them (assuming they deserve approval, of course).

Pay attention to some of the news about the financial crisis — important doings are afoot in the EU.

To see the headlines and the articles, open the full news post.

Thanks to C. Cantoni, Caroline Glick, ESW, Fjordman, Gaia, JP, Kitman, Nick, and all the other tipsters who sent these in.

Notice to tipsters: Please don’t submit extensive excerpts from articles that have been posted behind a subscription firewall, or are otherwise under copyright protection.

Commenters are advised to leave their comments at this post (rather than with the news articles) so that they are more easily accessible.

Caveat: Articles in the news feed are posted “as is”. Gates of Vienna cannot vouch for the authenticity or accuracy of the contents of any individual item posted here. We check each entry to make sure it is relatively interesting, not patently offensive, and at least superficially plausible. The link to the original is included with each item’s title. Further research and verification are left to the reader.

  1. Editor of “multicultural” taxfunded newspaper
cries “allahuakbar!” during at Intercultural Museum in Oslo
    freedom of expression meeting
Present at this meeting on Tuesday 1 February, are journalists from the largest papers in Norway

The editor of “Utrop”, Majoran Vivekananthan, also takes the opportunity to praise the shooter at the Oslo synagogue, Arfan Bhatti, for his demonstration in fron of the Parliament in January 2012.

He goes on about “growing islamophobia in Europe”. All i all, this editor is confirming that “Utrop” is just a tool for his ideology.

Dagbladets journalist, Egeland, takes the opportunity to explain about freedom of expression in Norway

  2. PS
    The debate meeting is called
    “Freedom, and responsibility of expression”..!

    Ytringsansvar

Fjordman previously, has explained this idea on GOV.

  3. Rewriting history
New book claims that there have been Africans in Norway the last 400 years
    http://www.utrop.no/Nyheter/Innenriks/22000!

    – Where did they hide?

New book “Afrikanere i Norge”, “Africans in Norway”

Just when you thought the limits had been reached, they come up with this!

It is correct, however, that the Sultan’s ships raided the shores of Iceland, Norway and Denmark, taking blond slaves who were brought back to the Mediterranean.

    – Which they probably won’t touch in this book…

  4. Mohammad finally brought in for a while

Here’s the opening of his recent mail to “dear PM” on Stoltenberg’s fb-page

“To: Jens KAFIR Stoltenberg Enemy of Allah, mass murderer and terrorist!

    Withdraw your soldiers from Afghanistan!

Allah will punish you for your misdeeds, may you burn forever in Hell!”

Mohammad was arrested on Wednesday while the police is looking into his matters
