The transport ministers of the European Union met today and agreed with the recommendations of the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation. They have decided to open up some flight routes in Europe, so that only the regions most severely affected by volcanic ash will remain closed to air travel.
In other news, a Swiss newspaper has been sued for denying that there was a genocide in Srebrenica during the war in Bosnia.
