Cultural Enrichment With Clubs

Cultural Enrichment News

Our Danish correspondent TB has translated one of the first enrichment stories of the new year. He includes this note:

It is impossible to translate all the incidents, at the rate they are ticking in from the Internet newspapers. I could work full time doing this, and I still would not be able to keep up with them. Anyway, I would probably come down with a serious case of depression in the process if I even tried to…

The translated article from Ekstra Bladet:

Sought out and beaten by gang

A group of youngsters were paid a visit in an apartment in Herning and thoroughly beaten with clubs. Three are injured after the assault.

Police are not sure about the motive yet.

A group of youngsters of ethnic origin other than Danish were sought out and beaten at one o’clock this morning. The perpetrators, who were of Tamil origin, broke into the apartment and hit the persons present in the apartment with clubs.

It is too early to say why the incident occurred, but around 14 people were present in the apartment. “We have arrested one and secured the identity of many others,” says Bjarne Askholl from the police.

Three of the victims were so badly injured that they had to be taken to the hospital. Two of them had broken bones and were brought to Herning Hospital, but the third was so seriously injured that he had to be transferred to Aarhus Hospital.

A neighbor called the police and reported the fight which was going on both inside and outside the apartment. “We have many men working on the case right now, interviewing the implicated individuals, but we have not been able to find the motive yet,” says Bjarne Askholl to Ekstra Bladet.

All those implicated in the incident were between 18 and 24 years old.
