4 Killed, 3 Injured in Mass Shooting at a 21st Birthday Party, Kentucky Authorities Say

(CNN) — Four people were killed and three others were injured in a mass shooting early Saturday morning inside a home where people were celebrating a 21st birthday party in northern Kentucky, according to police.

Officers found seven victims suffering from gunshot wounds shortly before 3 a.m. after receiving calls of an active shooter at a home on Ridgecrest Drive in Florence, southwest of Cincinnati, Ohio, Florence Police Department Chief Jeff Mallery said during a Saturday afternoon news conference.

Mallery identified the four gunshot victims as Shane Miller, 20; Hayden Rybicki, 20; Delaney Eary, 19; and Melissa Parrett, 44.

Parrett, the homeowner, was hosting her son’s 21st birthday party when the shooting occurred, Mallery said. Police identified Chase Garvey, 21, as the suspect and say he was not invited to the party but was known by the people in attendance.

Three of the victims were transported to a hospital in Cincinnati and are listed in critical but stable condition, according to a statement by police.

Garvey initially fled the scene and police say he was discovered a short time later in a crashed vehicle with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police said Garvey was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The shooter’s motive is unclear, and Garvey acted alone, authorities say.

Appeals Court Hands Biden Small Victory by Backing Student Debt Plan

An appeals court has given the green light to Democrat President Joe Biden’s plan to pay off the student loan debts of college-educated voters using taxpayer money.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit handed Biden a small victory to tout on the campaign trailas Democrats question his political future.

The whiplash ruling came only days after two federal judges blocked aspects of Biden’s plan, called SAVE.

The income-based repayment plan lowers monthly payments for borrowers depending on income level.

Biden Triggers More Democrat Panic With ‘Joke’ About Brain Damage

President Joe Biden appears to have added to the fears about his fitness for office while trying to reassure top Democrats.

During a meeting with Democrat governors, Biden told a “joke” about being unsure whether he might have brain damage.

However, the comments about his health came a little too close to the truth.

In response to a question from Hawaii’s Democrat Governor Josh Green, Biden reportedly said, “I’m fine — I don’t know about my brain, though.”

Biden has long been known to use self-deprecating humor throughout his political career.

Biden Blasted for Gaffe Declaring He’ll Beat Trump ‘Again in 2020’: ‘Just Gets Increasingly Worse’

President Biden was mocked online after yet another high profile gaffe on Friday, declaring he would beat Trump “again in 2020.”

Biden Assails Project 2025, a Plan to Transform Government, and Trump’s Claim to be Unaware of it

MIAMI (AP) — Donald Trump has distanced himself from Project 2025, a massive proposed overhaul of the federal government drafted by longtime allies and former officials in his administration, days after the head of the think tank responsible for the program suggested there would be a second American Revolution.

“I know nothing about Project 2025,” Trump posted on his social media website. “I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.”

The 922-page plan outlines a dramatic expansion of presidential power and a plan to fire as many as 50,000 government workers to replace them with Trump loyalists. President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign has worked to draw more attention to the agenda, particularly as Biden tries to keep fellow Democrats on board after his disastrous debate.

Biden Declines to Take a Cognitive Test, Says the ‘Lord Almighty’ Could Get Him to Drop Out of Race

Facing pressure from his own party to drop out, President Joe Biden defended his candidacy for the Democratic nomination on Friday night, in his first on-camera interview since his bad debate performance last week.

The president has been facing pressure to withdraw from the race since the debate stunned Democratic insiders. But Biden told reporters on Friday that he has “completely [ruled] out” dropping his bid, and that he was “confident” he could serve another four years in the White House, CBS News reported.

Biden touted his record with beating pharmaceutical companies, his efforts to handle the economy, and his foreign policy successes such as the expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Democrat Congressman Slams Biden Campaign for Debate Response: ‘Arrogant’

Democrat Rep. Scott Peters (D-CA) has slammed the “arrogant” response from President Joe Biden’s campaign in the wake of last week’s disastrous debate.

Peters called the re-election team “arrogant” following last Thursday’s debate which exposed Biden’s degraded mental state.

Biden’s behavior during the televised debate has led to calls from many within the party and liberal corporate media for the president to suspend his 2024 presidential campaign.

“We needed a boost from Thursday. We didn’t get it,” Peters said during a Wednesday interview with CBS 8 San Diego.

Democrats Scramble to Oppose GOP-Backed Bill Requiring Proof of Citizenship in Federal Elections

House Democrats are mobilizing against a Republican-sponsored bill that seeks to require voters to prove US citizenship to vote in federal elections. This comes as election laws have come under greater scrutiny as well as an influx of illegal immigrants under President Joe Biden.

The House is set to vote next week on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act(SAVE), which mandates “documentary proof of United States citizenship” for voting in federal elections. Acceptable forms of proof would include a photo ID card proving someone was born in the US, a passport, or a birth certificate.

The day brought more head-scratching misstatements and garbled lines on the campaign trail, along with a much-anticipated primetime ABC interview that prominent Democrats called “sad” and “chilling.”

Climate activists often paint “big oil” as a group of powerful corporations spending billions of dollars to spread a message that protects and advances their industry, while those with a countering message paint themselves as humble grassroots underdogs.

The data gives that narrative the lie. A Just the News analysis of 2021 tax documents of major anti-fossil fuel environmental and climate nonprofits shows that for every dollar that was received by oil and gas industry groups and climate-skeptical conservative and libertarian nonprofits, $9.60 went to nonprofits who fight against the use of oil, gas and coal.

House Republicans Unite on Spending Cuts to Non-Defense Programs, But Senate Roadblock Awaits

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans are off to a quicker, more united start this year when it comes to funding the federal government, passing four of 12 annual appropriations bills before the end of June compared to zero at this time last year when the new majority got off to a rocky start.

But there is no denying the spending fights to come.

All four bills that passed the House so far generated veto threats from President Joe Biden ‘s administration and drew widespread Democratic opposition and they have no chance of passing the Senate in their current form. That means a protracted, months-long battle that will likely require one or more stopgap spending bills to keep the federal government fully open when the new fiscal year begins Oct. 1.

Jewish Professor Fully Exonerated After Removal for Saying ‘Hamas Are Murderers’

USC professor found fully within First Amendment rights

A Jewish economics professor at the University of Southern California has been cleared of any wrongdoing following a seven-month investigation into comments he made to pro-Palestinian protesters.

Professor John Strauss last November was banned from teaching on campus for the remainder of the fall semester after saying to the student demonstrators: “Hamas are murderers. That’s all they are. Every one should be killed, and I hope they all are.”

An edited version of a recording of Stauss’ comments that went viral on social media omitted his full remarks, prompting some to believe he suggested all Palestinians should be killed.

More than 10 students filed complaints against Strauss alleging harassment, discrimination, and creating an unsafe environment, The Los Angeles Times reported, adding while there “was no dispute that Strauss said the words … he denied that this amounted to a threat to students, as Hamas is deemed a terrorist organization and committed atrocities in Israel on Oct. 7.”

Parkinson’s Specialist Met With White House at Least 9 Times Since July 2023

A Parkinson’s disease specialist from Walter Reed Medical Center visited the White House at least nine times in the past year, according to journalist Alex Berenson of Unreported Truths, while the NY Post has reported that a cardiologist was present during one of the visits.

Dr. Kevin R Cannard traveled to the White House’s medical clinic each time, meeting with either President Joe Biden’s personal physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor, or a naval nurse who coordinates care for the president and other senior officials. O’Connor notably gave Biden a clean bill of health after his February annual physical.

The visits spanned July 28, 2023 with the latest being March 28 of this year. That said, Berenson notes that the most recent logs are from April 1, so it’s unknown if Cannard has visited more recently.

According to Cannard’s physician profile page, he is a “neurologist and movement disorders specialist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center” who specializes in treatments for “early Parkinson’s disease.” Since 2012, he has served as the “neurology specialist supporting the White House Medical Unit,” per his LinkedIn page.

The Hidden History of Robert Mueller’s Right-Wing Terror Factory, Part 2

Authored by Ken Silva via Headline USA

The first article of this series chronicled the FBI’s mid-2000s program to stage neo-Nazi rallies around the country as a means to conduct surveillance and recruit potential informants.

Those rallies were just the beginning of a sweeping multi-state investigation, Headline USA can reveal.

Indeed, after an FBI informant was exposed in 2007 for organizing a Nazi rally in Orlando the year before, the bureau launched another operation in the same area. Dubbed “Primitive Affliction,” the FBI set up a neo-Nazi motorcycle front group to infiltrate Florida’s right-wing underground.

Federal agencies are known to have used motorcycle front groups cases against targets such as the Hells Angels for drug— and gun-trafficking investigations. However, Headline USA is unaware of such a tactic being employed in a politically charged domestic terrorism case until Primitive Affliction.

This publication has also found that then-FBI Director Robert Mueller had a personal interest in Primitive Affliction, which ran from about 2007 to 2012. Indeed, Mueller was briefed daily on the operation during its final stages, according to a newly unearthed performance review of one undercover cop on the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Doctors Warn of ‘Alarming 3000% Increase in Unexplained Child Deaths’

A group of prominent Canadian medical doctors and scientists has just held a press conference to warn the public about a staggering spike in child deaths.

The presser was held on the morning after the landmark event “An Injection of Truth” in Calgary, Canada.

French Election Preview: Polls Show Right-Wing Party Leads Runoff as Opponents Urge Tactical Voting

France is set to elect the right-wing National Rally (RN) as the largest party in government, yet no party may emerge with a clear majority in this tightly contested election as the second round of voting kicks off this weekend.

The first round, which occurred June 30, resulted in just 76 of the 577 constituencies in the French National Assembly determining their representative. Any candidate who did not receive an outright majority in the first round of voting heads on to the second-round runoff, which is set for July 7.

Those few contests that concluded in the first round revealed a lot about voter sentiment and indicated trouble for the current government after RN took one-third of the vote, the most by any party.

French Intelligence Agents Arrest Would-be ISIS Suicide Bombers as They Foil Paris Olympics Terror Plots

French intelligence agents have arrested would-be ISIS suicide bombers after they thwarted two terror plots targeting the Paris Olympics.

The French government’s interior minister Gérald Darmanin said police carried out ‘several arrests’ in the two separate cases.

He told a news channel the government had not made it public because of the ongoing election campaign, but said the arrests involved people who may have planned and put terrorist attacks into place.

Macron’s Pensions Nemesis Tipped as France’s Next PM

The union chief who led the fight against Emmanuel Macron’s pension reformsis being touted as France’s potential next prime minister.

Laurent Berger, a former head of the CFDT civil servants union, could lead an alliance of Left-wing and centrist parties to keep Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (RN) out of power after France’s elections on Sunday.

Polls suggest that the populist Right RN will fall short of an absolute majority in the vote, meaning the largest grouping in parliament could be formed by her opponents.

Mr Berger’s selection would convey a stinging rebuke to Mr Macron, after the pair repeatedly clashed over Mr Macron’s raising of the state pension age from 62 to 64.

Marine Le Pen Promises French Far Right Will Rein in Aid to Ukraine, Slams Soccer Star Mbappé

As Ukraine bleeds territory to Russia, support from one of Kyiv’s strongest backers looks set to falter if the far right sweep to power in Sunday’s French parliamentary elections.

Marine Le Pen, figurehead of the French far-right National Rally (RN) party, vowed a prime minister from her party would prevent Kyiv using French-supplied long-range weapons to strike inside Russia and would stymie French President Emmanuel Macron’s suggestion he might put French boots on Ukrainian soil.

“If Emmanuel Macron wants to send troops to Ukraine and the prime minister is against it, then there are no troops sent to Ukraine,” she told CNN. “The prime minister has the final say.”

Netherlands: Prosecutors Confirm 18 Year Old Woman’s Murder May Have Been an Honor Killing

The 18-year-old Ryan al Najjar from Joure, Friesland, may have been the victim of an honor killing, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) reported. The body of the young woman was found in the water on May 28 on the Knardijk in Lelystad. Two men were arrested after finding. They are brothers of the victim. They are accused of committing the murder together.

De Telegraaf and the Leeuwarder Courant have already published extensively about the case; both papers received an alleged confession from somebody who said that he was the father of the girl. The OM is now reporting that he is suspected of involvement with the murder of his daughter. There are clues that the man is currently in Syria.

Russell Brand Blasts Corporate Media for Normalizing Heart Failure in Young People

British comedian Russell Brand has accused the corporate media of pushing to normalize the global crisis of young, healthy people dying suddenly from heart failure.

Brand argues that rather than highlight the fact that the surges in cardiac injuries and related only surged after the Covid mRNA shots were rolled out, the corporate media is attempting to gaslight the public into believing it is completely normal.

During an episode of his “Stay Free” podcast this week, Brand said:

“On legacy media, it’s quite possible to watch a kind of bright breezy, cheerful news item about heart attacks as if it’s like some new trend, as if it’s Pogs or Pokemon Go or something.

“It’s a new sensation, heart disease in young people.”

Brand cited a May 30 segment on NBC’s “Today” show called “A new way of thinking about heart attacks.”

Tension as France’s Snap Election Campaign Comes to a Climax

Tensions were running high Friday as France’s election campaign came to an end ahead of a one-day pause and then a historic run-off vote that could paralyse government or see the far right sweep to power.

More than 50 candidates and campaign activists have been physically assaulted during the campaign, the shortest in modern French history, and 30,000 police will be deployed this weekend to head off trouble.

Friday was the last official day of campaigning with Saturday a day of rest before polls open on Sunday for run-off races in constituencies that failed to choose an outright winner last Sunday.

UK: Nigel Farage: Phase Two to Save the Country Starts Now

Now Reform UK has a bridgehead in Parliament, it is time to start the next part of the plan — “professionalising” the party to get it ship-shape ready to challenge the coming elections in 2029.

It is time to start chasing the Labour vote, and turning Reform into an efficient machine for contesting elections, Nigel Farage said in a victory press conference with his fellow newly-elected Party candidates due to be sworn into Parliament next week. In an event attended by supporters and press in central London, Mr Farage was repeatedly interrupted by a string of protesters who revealed themselves, one after the other, as their predecessor was carried out of the room.

UK: Team of Dolts: Meet Keir Starmer’s Trump-Hating, Anti-Brexit Cabinet

Sir Keir Starmer swept to power this week in Britain after the spectacular self-destruction of the Conservative Party under Rishi Sunak.

Starmer has claimed to have moderated the Labour Party from the far-left extremes under his predecessor Jeremy Corbyn, however, others warn that the former socialist activist turned PM has merely been obscuring his true revolutionary intentions.

Much of the actual decision-making in the UK government is farmed out to cabinet ministers, so a look at who Starmer has tapped to implement his agenda may give us the clearest view of what is to come over the next five years.

‘Unstable’ Macron May Resign After Second-Round French Vote

An “unpredictable” or even “unstable” Emmanuel Macron could resign after Sunday’s second-round parliamentary elections, top aides have warned.

“I know the man — this is not science fiction,” one former top adviser told The Telegraph of the French president, whose snap election could leave his centrist alliance with half the MPs it had last month.

Final polls suggested Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (RN) would fall short of a majority, leaving a chaotic patchwork of parties — from the hard-Left to the centre — to form a government, or mire France in political paralysis.

Mr Macron privately relished “throwing an unpinned grenade” at the French political establishment and electorate by dissolving parliament after defeat in EU elections, according to an Elysée source.

Intense Russian Strikes Leave More Than 100K Ukrainians in the Dark

An intense round of Russian air strikes cut off water and electricity to more than 100,000 households in northern Ukraine Saturday, leading Poland to divert some of its surplus energy to the war-torn nation.

Emergency repairs were underway on the national electrical grid, but it was not clear late Saturday when power would be restored.

The Russian strikes also prompted emergency shut-offs for the residents living in Sumy, located right near the northeastern border with Russia.

At least 12 people were killed and over 50 injured in the past day of fighting, the Kyiv Independent reported.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán during a face-to-face in the Kremlin on Friday that if Ukraine wants the war to end, it must capitulate.

Putin Sees No Need for Nuclear Weapons to Win in Ukraine. But He’s Also Keeping His Options Open

The message to NATO from President Vladimir Putin was simple and stark: Don’t go too far in providing military support for Ukraine, or you’ll risk a conflict with Russia that could quickly turn nuclear.

As the war in Ukraine turns slowly in Moscow’s favor, Putin declared he doesn’t need nuclear weapons to achieve his goals. But he also says it’s wrong for the West to assume that Russia will never use them.

“It mustn’t be treated in a light, superficial way,” Putin said in June, reaffirming that Russia’s nuclear doctrine calls for using atomic weapons if it perceives a threat to its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Russian Strikes Leave Thousands in Ukraine Without Power and Water

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian strikes overnight left over 100,000 households without power in northern Ukraine and cut off the water supply to a regional capital, Ukrainian authorities reported Saturday, while civilian casualties rose sharply in the country’s embattled east.

The northern Sumy region, which borders Russia, was plunged into dark after Russian strikes late Friday damaged energy infrastructure, the Ukrainian Energy Ministry said. Hours later, the Ukrainian public broadcaster reported that Russian drones hit the provincial capital, also called Sumy, cutting off water by hitting power lines that feed its system of pumps.

Russian state agency RIA cited a local pro-Kremlin “underground” leader as saying that Moscow’s forces overnight hit a plant producing rocket ammunition in the city, which had a pre-war population of over 256,000. The report didn’t specify what weapon was used, and the claim could not be independently verified. Explosions rocked the city during an air raid warning early Saturday, according to Ukrainian media reports.

Ukraine’s Zelenskiy Expresses Gratitude to New British PM on Wartime Support

KYIV (Reuters) —New British Prime Minister Keir Starmer told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that London would keep providing support for Kyiv in its war against Russia and the Ukrainian leader expressed gratitude for maintaining that stand.

“The prime minister began by setting out that it was important to him to reiterate the UK’s unwavering commitment to Ukraine on his first day in office,” a spokesperson for Starmer’s office said in a statement.

“He added that the change of government in the UK would make no difference to the UK’s support for Ukraine, and that the UK would continue supplying the defensive support Ukraine needed in the face of Russian aggression.”

Zelenskiy, writing on the Telegram messaging app, said he had wished the new prime minister success in fulfilling the expectations of the British people.

Ukrainian Navy Chief Says Sea Drone Strikes Have Rendered Russia’s Black Sea Fleet HQ in Occupied Crimea Effectively Useless

Ukraine’s sea drone and missile attacks have left Russia’s Black Sea Fleet headquarters at Sevastopol effectively useless and forced many of its ships to relocate to other locations, the head of the Ukrainian navy has said.

Vice-Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa told Reuters news agency that “almost all the main combat-ready ships have been moved by the enemy from the main base of the Black Sea Fleet” following significant damage to the Crimean base.

“The ships are kept in Novorossiisk, and some of them are kept in the Sea of Azov,” Neizhpapa said.

‘We’ve Learnt to Do Surgery Without Electricity’: Ukraine’s Power Cuts Worsen

Power supply is a matter of life and death for Tetiana’s son.

He was born with disabilities, and needs electricity-powered equipment to be able to breathe, to eat, and to receive medication.

“We are very dependent on electricity. If it wasn’t for this bloody war, life would be difficult, but we’d be able to cope,” Tetiana tells the BBC.

Ukrainians are learning to live with extended blackouts as Russia continues to pummel its energy facilities across the country.

Persistent Russian air strikes mean even previously unaffected parts of Ukraine have to go without electricity for hours on end, practically every day.

Tetiana, who lives in the southern port city of Odesa, says that the endless power cuts make life extremely difficult because she needs to make sure the supply of electricity is constant.

She has a generator which runs on petrol and needs to be topped up all the time, but it has to be stopped every six hours to cool down.

Power cuts also affect mobile phone coverage, so getting through to the ambulance service for her son can be a struggle too.

International Swimming Federation Confirms Investigation of Chinese Swimmers Using Banned Substance

The international swimming federation confirms its executive director has been called to testify as a witness in a U.S. criminal investigation about 23 Chinese swimmers who tested positive for using a banned substance in 2021, but still competed in the Olympics.

This news was made public just three weeks before the Paris Olympics when it was revealed 11 of the swimmers who tested positive for the banned heart medication three years ago are still set to compete.

A House committee on China requested in May that this matter be investigated.

World Aquatics, swimming’s world governing body, confirmed to The Associated Press that top administrator Brent Nowicki was subpoenaed to testify.

Whooping Cough Cases Explode Across Southern NSW, ACT as Population Immunity Wanes

Canberra and southern NSW are not immune from the rapid rise of whooping cough cases being seen across the country, mainly in school-age children and teenagers.

There have been 12,038 cases of whooping cough (or pertussis) notified across the country to 30 June.

There were a total of 2445 notifications in 2023.

Focusing specifically on the southern NSW and ACT regions, there have been 251 cases so far this year in the Illawarra-Shoalhaven Local Health District, 52 in the Murrumbidgee, 50 in southern NSW and 126 in Canberra.

Whooping cough infections are cyclical, so there are expected epidemic peaks.

Other factors behind cases exploding include vaccination coverage, waning immunity and the overall community’s lack of exposure to whooping cough during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Canary Islands Anti-Migration Protest Attracts Hundreds

Hundreds protested Saturday in the Canary Islands against an influx of migrants to the Spanish archipelago, which has welcomed more than 19,000 migrants since the beginning of 2024.

Located off the coast of northwest Africa, the Canary Islands have become an increasingly popular destination for migrants braving the perilous Atlantic crossing in the hope of finding a better life in Europe.

Carrying “Defend our neighbourhoods” and “Stop illegal immigration” placards, the demonstrators took to the streets of towns including Las Palmas and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with local media putting their numbers at several hundred.

“This situation in the Canaries is unbearable,” Juan Manuel Garcia, who took part in the demonstration in Tenerife, told AFPTV.

“The Canaries don’t have the means to support those who arrive,” the 70-year-old added.

Rudy Ruyman, who helped organise the demonstration, said that the situation had become “a traffic in human lives”, warning that “the mafia is profiting from all the deaths at sea”.

UK: Conservatives Fear Nigel Farage Warnings of a Small Boats ‘Starmada’ Will Hijack Leadership Battle

Shellshocked Conservatives are calling for a delay to the party leadership contest to avoid it being overshadowed by a ‘summer of Nigel Farage’.

The Reform UK leader has planned to use his new platform as an MP to highlight the number of small boat migrants — dubbed the Starmada — in the coming months.

However, leadership contenders — who could include former ministers Kemi Badenoch, Dame Priti Patel and Victoria Atkins — may want to avoid the subject given they had 14 years in Government to tackle the issue.

UK: Sir Keir Starmer’s Decision to Scrap the Rwanda Plan Will Lead to ‘Open Season’ for Small Boats Crossings, a Former Border Force Chief Has Said

Sir Keir Starmer’s decision to scrap the Rwanda scheme will lead to an ‘open season’ for migrants trying to cross the English Channel in small boats, a former Border Force chief has said.

Kevin Saunders, who was the Chief Immigration Officer covering Calais and Dunkirk, claims that up to 60,000 people could try to make the journey from France to England via the perilous route without the plan in place.

The border security expert said that the controversial scheme had acted as a deterrent and that people smugglers in the migrant camps in northern France were happy it was being removed.
