‘I Told You So’: Trump Slams Biden, Harris Over Global Stock, Crypto Crash

The global stock market took a plunge on Sunday leading into Monday, with the DOW Jones dropping over 1,000 points. Wall Street’s “fear gauge” spiked to the highest it has been under the Biden-Harris administration, and Bitcoin has taken a heavy plunge. Donald Trump took aim at the Biden-Harris administration over the chaos. This has unemployment numbers rose to 4.3%, the highest since October 2021.

According to CNBC, the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) or Wall Street’s “fear-gauge” has spiked to the highest it has been since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020. VIX is a key marker to the volatility of the market, and broke 50 on Monday morning. Since the pandemic, the VIX has been lower, trading below 20. The DOW Jones futures market tumbled over 1,000 points, according to the outlet.

Trump posted on Truth Social, “Stock markets crashing. I told you so!!! Kamala doesn’t have a clue. Biden is sound asleep. All caused by inept US leadership!” Before the Biden-Harris administration was voted in in the 2020 election cycle, Trump told reporters that the economy would crash if Biden was voted in as president.

Japan’s Nikkei Sees Biggest Tumble Since 1987 Crash

Japan’s Nikkei stock index on Monday saw its largest single-day rout since the 1987 “Black Monday” sell-offs that precipitated a major recession.

The fall was driven by last week’s global plunge in stock prices, which followed bleak jobs data that indicated the US could be heading for recession, sending a shock wave across markets.

At the end of trading, the Nikkei index shed a massive 12.4%, after dipping as much as 13.4% at one point. For comparison, the biggest single-day drop was 14.9% in 1987. At one point during the sell-off, a “circuit breaker” was triggered to stop trading.

Major Wall St Firms Hit With Outages Amid Market Crash

Several major Wall Street investment firms were hit with damaging outages amid a widespread “Black Monday” market crash.

The outages left many users unable to log into their accounts during a tumultuous trading session.

Report Casts Doubt on German Economic Viability

Germany’s economy is facing challenges that threaten the viability of its growth model, a report has claimed.

By 2050, Germany could be overtaken economically by Japan and Indonesia, according to the report by Economist Intelligence Unit released on July 31.

Despite Germany’s highly skilled and educated workforce and relatively low public debt, the country’s real GDP growth has been the weakest among the G7 nations since the pandemic.

Germany’s economy has grown only 0.3 per cent since the pre-pandemic period, which is the weakest among the G7 countries. This suggests that Germany has struggled to recover from the pandemic’s economic impact.

Trump Tops Harris on Economy 52 to 40 in WSJ Polling

Donald Trump is leading Vice President Kamala Harris on the issue of handling the economy by 12 points, according to a recent Wall Street Journal poll. This comes as global stock markets have plunged in recent days after unemployment increased in the US to 4.3 percent.

The poll was conducted from July 23-25 with 1,000 registered voters nationally and when those surveyed were asked, “Between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, who in your opinion is best able to handle the economy,” Trump was favored by 52 percent of those polled compared to 40 percent who said Harris would do a better job.

US Stock Markets See One of the Biggest Plunges in Nearly Two Years

U.S. stock markets dropped massively by the end of its business day on Monday, marking one of the worst days for the market since 2022.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 1,034 points from Monday’s opening, or 2.6%. The Nasdaq Composite lost 3.4%, and the S&P 500 dropped 3%, according to CNBC.

The sudden drop comes after July’s labor report showed the U.S. economy only added 114,000 jobs last month, and the unemployment rate increased to 4.3%, compared to 4.1% in June.

Dow Jones also closed 600 points lower than it had opened on Friday, which was directly after the jobs report came out. The Nasdaq Composite had slipped into correction territory on Friday, which is when a market falls more than 10% from a recent high.

Bill Gates Pushes for ‘Genetically Modified Insects’ in Human Food Supply

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is pumping millions of dollars into efforts to flood the human food supply with hyper-processed products made from “genetically modified insects.”

Gates and his foundation have been investing in the development of the products while pressuring U.S. regulators to open up the floodgates for insect-based “foods” to be sold in American stores.

The plan is not new, however, as Gates has been pushing for bugs to be fed to Americans for over a decade.

In 2012, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation a project called “All Things Bugs.”

Breaking: SCOTUS Will Not Delay Sentencing of Trump in NYC Case

The Supreme Court on Monday rejected an effort to delay the sentencing of 2024 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump in the New York City case brought forth by Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey.

In a brief order, the court wrote, Missouri’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied, and its motion for preliminary relief or a stay is dismissed as moot. A Bronx prosecutor has resigned after being exposed as an alleged child predator. William C.C. Kemp-Neal, a 30-year-old working in the Bronx DA’s office, tried to meet up with a young boy he was in contact with online. California Regulators Propose Taking Control of Oil Refineries to Tackle Price Hikes Amid Green Agenda Push

State officials have proposed a variety of government intrusions into the petroleum industry to combat future energy price surges.

The proposals were revealed in a new report released by the taxpayer-funded California Energy Commission (CEC).

The CEC expects some of California’s nine oil refineries to be shuttered due to falling demand as the Golden State continues to pursue its green agenda.

Court Slaps Down NIH for Unconstitutional Censorship

The D.C. Circuit Court has declared that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) violated the Constitution by using keyword filters to censor comments on its social media platforms. The court’s decision stems from a dispute involving People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), which argued that their comments were unfairly targeted by NIH’s filtering system on Facebook and Instagram. This case highlights ongoing tensions between government control and free speech on digital platforms.

CrowdStrike Lawyer Blasts Delta for “Misleading Narrative” Surrounding Global IT Outage

CrowdStrike lawyer Michael Carlinsky, who is a co-managing partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, penned a letter on Sunday to Delta Air Lines, making it very clear that the carrier has pushed a “misleading narrative that CrowdStrike is responsible for Delta’s IT decisions and response to the outage” that lasted several days.

“Should Delta pursue this path [referring to a lawsuit], Delta will have to explain to the public, its shareholders, and ultimately a jury why CrowdStrike took responsibility for its actions—swiftly, transparently, and constructively—while Delta did not,” Carlinsky wrote in the letter addressed to Delta’s legal team, which was obtained by the Wall Street Journal.

The letter comes as there has been a growing public conflict between CrowdStrike and the airline over last month’s global IT outage.

FBI to Resume Meetings With Social Media Companies, Ignoring Censorship Concerns

Here we go again — another US election is coming up, and there’s another push to find ways to censor “disfavored” voices, and one of those ways is the focus on the foreign malign influence (FMI) boogeyman.

Americans (and the world) have seen this play out already before and after the contested 2020 vote.

The infamous case of the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop news story came after the FBI issued a warning to social media companies about an incoming FMI “disinformation dump” — from Russia.

We know how that went and was eventually debunked, the laptop being authentic, rather than a figment of some “disinformation” peddling operation’s imagination. But here is the FBI again, more than just emboldened by the recent Supreme Court’s ruling in the Murthy v. Missouri case.

Fordham U. ‘Diversity’ Programs Discriminate, Violate Civil Rights Law: Complaint

A legal advocacy group has filed a discrimination complaint against Fordham University, claiming the Jesuit school in the Bronx offers race— and ethnicity-based scholarships that favor black and Latino students over white and Asian students in violation of civil rights law.

The Equal Protection Project’s complaint highlights several examples, such as Fordham’s “Diversity Fund” and “Fordham Scholarship,” for which access is restricted to black, Latino or first-generation or lower-income students.

The group also points to the school’s Latino Social Work Coalition Scholarship Program, which targets aid to Latino or bilingual students while excluding their black, white and Asian peers.

Google Loses Major Antitrust Case to Department of Justice Over Search Engine Monopolization

Google lost a major antitrust case on Monday to the Justice Department, after a federal judge ruled that it has maintained an unfair monopoly when it comes to searching for things online.

US District Judge Amit Mehta ruled that Google must stop its anticompetitive behavior, where it monopolizes exclusive contracts that make it the default search engine on smartphones and computers.

The Justice Department filed the antitrust case during former President Donald Trump’s administration, claiming that the company’s exclusive contracts block out its strongest competitors like Bing, and DuckDuckGo. The exclusivity of the contracts was the biggest contributors to the ruling.

Harris Says ‘Everybody Needs to be Woke’ in Unearthed Clip Spreading Like Wildfire on Social Media

A clip of Vice President Kamala Harris from 2017 calling on “everybody” to be “woke” resurfaced on social media, sparking critics and conservatives to lambaste the official Democratic nominee as a “Communist functionary” who is “too radical” to serve as president.

“We have to stay woke. Like everybody needs to be woke. And you can talk about if you’re the wokest or woker, but just stay more woke than less woke,” then-Sen. Harris said in 2017 during Recode’s annual Code Conference, alongside philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, during the conference.

The conference focused on issues such as immigration and the environment, including Harris speaking out against the Trump administration’s drug policies and immigration polices just moments ahead of her call on Americans to be “woke.”

House Probes Major Businesses for Censorship Collusion With GARM’s Alleged Ad “Cartel”

US House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan on August 1 requested documents from more than 40 companies that are members of the controversial, powerful advertising initiative, the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM).

The Committee has long had GARM (set up by the World Federation of Advertisers, WFA) in its sights in the context of a broader investigation into the government colluding with tech companies, but also other corporations, to censor online speech.

In this case, GARM is suspected of getting the world’s biggest brands to effectively demonetize, by withholding ads, various platforms, podcasts, news sites, “and other content that GARM and its members deem disfavored,” Committee Chairman Jim Jordan writes in his letter sent to dozens of GARM members.

In short, the answer is no, according to experts. To find out why, as well as what the true warning signs would be, EastIdahoNews.com spoke with Michael Poland, a research geophysicist with the Cascades Volcano Observatory and the current scientist-in-charge of the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory.

Jamie Raskin Said Trump Must be ‘Disqualified’ by Congress if Elected

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) told a group at Washington DC bookstore Politics and Prose that it is up to Congress to disqualify Donald Trump from the election 2024 on January 6, 2025. The comments came before the Supreme Court ruled that states could not take Trump off the ticket in the election using the 14th Amendment.

Raskin suggested that if SCOTUS rejected the case against Trump, that the responsibility to disqualify Trump from the election would fall to Congress. The comments from Raskin came during the group meeting in February, per Legal Insurrection: “The court is not going to save us. And so that means the only thing that really works is people in motion amending the Constitution — but again, it’s necessary, but it’s not sufficient, because what can be put in the Constitution can slip away from you very quickly.”

Josh Shapiro Says He ‘Didn’t Know’ Top Aide Was Being Investigated for Sexual Harassment for Months After it Began

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s office has claimed that he was not made aware of accusations made against his top aide until “months” after they surfaced. This follows reports of sexual harassment accusations against former aide Mike Vereb that have resurfaced as Shapiro has become a frontrunner to be Kamala Harris’ vice presidential pick.

Manuel Bonder, a spokesperson for Shapiro’s office, told the New York Times of the accusations that Vereb made repeated, graphic sexual remarks towards a female employee, with Vereb then allegedly criticizing her job performance when she refused his advances, that Shapiro “was not aware of the complaint or investigation until months after the complaint was filed,” and that Shapiro should have been made aware of these allegations sooner.

Shapiro’s office has been accused of providing legal advice to then-Secretary of Legislative Affairs Mike Vereb all the while allegedly investigating Vereb for workplace harassment claims made by a subordinate in March 2023.

Man Accused of Setting Off Explosive Device Near Armstrong County Swimming Hole

RAYBURN, Pa. — A man has been taken into custody after authorities say he set off an explosive device near a swimming hole at Buttermilk Falls.

Pennsylvania State Police were called to the area in Rayburn Township on Thursday, Aug. 1.

Witnesses told authorities they saw a man in the area acting suspiciously and removing things from his backpack.

One of the witnesses told police the man taped something and then hid behind a large boulder. Shortly after, there was a large boom and a bright flash of light.

After the explosion, the man allegedly got onto his bicycle and left the area.

Authorities found a metal pipe device with one end fragments when they arrived to the area.

With images and a description from witnesses, authorities were able to locate and arrest Zane Richard Clever.

Prior to his arrest, troopers say they also found drugs and drug paraphernalia on Clever’s person.

Progressive Dems in Michigan Tell Undercover Journo They Were ‘Ballot Harvested’ Out of Office by Muslim Voter Fraud Network

Seattle Considers ‘Catching and Releasing’ From Des Moines Facility After King County Jail Runs Out of Space

Talk about eating your own tail…

Seattle is infested with so much crime, its jails are running out of space. And, because King County Jail is running out of space, the city is now considering a program that “would pay for jail beds at the SCORE jail facility in Des Moines,” according to KIRO 7.

Its a move that the report says “would cost Seattle millions”. And, unsurprisingly, it isn’t winning any fans in Des Moines, as the SCORE facility would be used for offenders who are locked up only for 24-48 hours, before being released.

The report says that the Seattle City Council Public Safety Committee met Wednesday to discuss a pilot plan, with public comments varying from full support to calling it “theatre.” The proposal would fund at least 20 beds, costing $1.5 to $3 million annually, depending on usage.

Starbucks Closes High-Traffic Pike Place Store During Peak Seattle Tourist Season

Starbucks is closing one of its busiest Seattle locations which is near a Seattle landmark during the height of tourism season. With no warning, Starbucks closed its 1st and Pike location right near the iconic Pike Place Market. The signs were removed and the windows were covered. The location was always packed with customers and did swift business.

Supreme Court to be Key Issue in Harris-Trump Battle

The Supreme Court is now expected to play a major role in the November election between President Donald Trump and VP Kamala Harris.

With President Joe Biden out of the 2024 presidential race, Harris has now been installed as the Democratic Party’s nominee.

As The Hill noted, Trump had the unprecedented chance to appoint three justices, all conservative, which has drastically altered the decisions coming out of the high court.

Biden’s last move, reportedly, will be to push for radical, unconstitutional Supreme Court “reform.”

Despite the plans most likely being dead on arrival in Congress, Harris has embraced the idea.

Usha Vance Speaks Out Over Democrat Messaging That Husband JD Vance is ‘Weird’

Senator JD Vance’s wife Usha spoke out against Democrat messaging and media networks that have taken his comments out of context as well as those who have labeled him as “weird” in recent weeks. Democrats have been trying to paint Rebublicans as “weird” since Kamala Harris stepped into the campaign. The interview with Fox News comes as Donald Trump’s VP pick has faced press attacks from corporate media outlets.

In a sit-down interview with the broadcast outlet, Usha said that the negative press coverage of JD “can be hard” and that when she sees it has said, “Well, this is not the JD I know, this is not accurate.” Usha also spoke at the RNC in Milwaukee, introducing her husband and telling the story of how they met in school. The couple has two children.

Brussels ‘Co-Ordinating’ Oil Embargo on Hungary and Slovakia, Claims Minister Szijjartó

Brussels is behind Ukraine’s attempt to block oil from entering Hungary and Slovakia, Budapest’s foreign minister, Péter Szijjartó, has claimed.

Speaking at a music festival over the weekend of August 3, Szijjartó claimed that the European Union must be behind Ukraine’s sanctioning Lukoil, the Russian energy firm largely responsible for supplying both Hungary and Slovakia with oil.

The transportation of Lukoil-owned hydrocarbons through the Druzhba pipeline that originates in Russia was blocked by Ukraine last month, prompting fears of energy shortages.

EC Torpedoes TikTok Rewards Programme in Latest DSA Purge

The European Commission has taken down a TikTok rewards programme amid fears it could have been operating in violation of the bloc’s Digital Services Act (DSA).

Concerns regarding the “rewards functions” in ByteDance’s new TikTok Lite app first emerged in April, with the company announcing it was temporarily axing the system after a DSA-based investigation launched by the EC.

That has now been made permanent, with the EC announcing on August 5 that its probe into TikTok Lite had ended after the Chinese social media company agreed to “permanently withdraw” the system from the European Union.

According to the EC’s press release, ByteDance has also promised “not to launch any other programme which would circumvent the withdrawal” of the previous rewards programme.

France: Olympics Security Boost Fails to Curb High Levels of Crime

The 2024 Olympic Games have been accompanied by a massive deployment of police officers in Paris and the French cities hosting the events. But despite these ambitious measures, crime is not decreasing overall—proof of a deep-rooted structural problem in French society.

On Wednesday, July 24th, two days before the opening of the Games, Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin boasted that crime would be reduced to “virtually zero,” thanks to an increased police presence, particularly in Paris. However, the figures do not give cause for optimism, despite improvements in a number of specific indicators. Crime is shifting and changing, but it is not disappearing.

A distinction must be made between Paris and its region and the rest of the country. As a clear result of the increased police presence at Olympic venues, ‘deliberate destruction and damage’ have fallen considerably in areas hosting Olympic venues in the Paris region, while the rest of the country continues to be affected. The same applies to ‘theft related to vehicles’ and ‘drug-related offences.’

Left-Wing Spanish Government Accused of Cozying Up to Venezuela’s Maduro

Members of the Spanish left-wing government are split on how to respond to last week’s Venezuelan elections, in which Nicolas Maduro’s government has been accused by most of the Western world of widespread fraud. Spanish right-wingers VOX, whose observer was interrogated in Venezuela before being deported, has accused the Socialist Spanish government of cozying up to the Maduro regime.

The Venezuelan presidential election, held on July 28th, was won officially by President Nicolas Maduro with 52% of the vote, while the main opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez got 43%. However, the government has still not made public the voting tallies to prove Maduro won, and the opposition claims the elections were stolen. They declared Gonzalez the winner by a landslide of 67%.

Despite international criticism of the Venezuelan government, Spanish Labour Minister Yolanda Diaz, a member of Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s hard-left junior coalition partner Sumar, called for the recognition of the Venezuelan results, saying: “The first thing is to recognise the election results, which is what democrats all over the world do, and secondly, simply: in the face of doubts, transparency, transparency, and transparency.”

Ombudsman Sides With Conservative Think Tank Against EU Commission

The European Ombudsman found that the European Commission’s withholding documents about a highly controversial policy constituted “maladministration.” Last month it ordered the executive to disclose the files to MCC Brussels, a conservative think tank, “without further delay,” the watchdog revealed last week.

Ombudsman Emily O’Reilly’s preliminary ruling addressed to the Commission and dated July 10th—published on its website on Friday, August 2nd—notes that the case was opened months ago, when MCC filed a complaint on April 29th, ten days after the Commission missed the initial deadline for answering its freedom of information (FOI) request.

The think tank requested access to 20 documents (out of 27) pertaining to the controversial Nature Restoration Law’s consultation period, during which the Commission asks for input from relevant stakeholders (private sector, NGOs) before finalizing their policy proposal.

Poland Releases Russian Spy as Its Own Journalist Remains in Belarusian Jail

Poland was lavished with praise by the US administration after it consented to the release of a Russian spy from a Polish prison, helping broker the biggest prisoner swap between Russia and the West for decades.

They include Polish journalist Andrzej Poczobut who is serving a lengthy sentence in a Belarusian labour camp.

The Expat

In 1969, Bela and Gabriella Bollobas fled their native Hungary, escaping Communism. They landed in Britain, where Bela went on to become a world-renown mathematician at Trinity College, Cambridge. Their son Mark was born there in 19—, and raised both in Britain and in the United States, where his father did occasional stints in American universities. Young Mark Bollobas enjoyed freedoms that his parents dreamed of growing up in a Communist dictatorship.

And yet, in 2010, the younger Bollobas gave it all up, and moved to Hungary, his parents’ homeland, where he had citizenship owing to his ancestry. He settled in Budapest, married, and is now raising a family there. With his native Britain shaking from domestic unrest, amid an atmosphere of general national decline, Bollobas, 52, reflects on how happy he is that he reversed his mother and father’s migratory path. I spoke with him last weekend in Budapest.

UK: Farage Accuses Starmer of ‘Two Tier Policing’, Adding to Sense of Injustice in Country

Appalling violence seen in recent days is a symptom of a broken democracy, Brexit leader Nigel Farage makes implicit, stating the underlying problems behind the rioting of the past week remain unresolved.

Political leaders from across the political divide spoke out against violence on the streets of Britain overnight, but the question of where the blame lies, the underlying causes, and how to address them remains a matter of debate. While the government has moved quickly to attempt to divorce the protests in riots in England from the event which sparked them, the mass stabbing of young children a week ago, others see outrage stoked by what is stated to be nakedly political policing by the government.

Violent protests across Britain—triggered by the killing of three young girls and injury to eight other children and two adults in a violent knife attack in Southport last week—have prompted the newly installed Labour prime minister to consider a range of authoritarian measures.

‘EU Values Economic Interests Over Rule of Law and Democracy,’ Claims Balkans Expert

Hezbollah: Israel Facing Existential Threat

The risks to Israel are intensifying. It is already menaced by a coalition of Iran-backed Islamist groups, with—like Hamas—a constitutional commitment to eliminating the Jewish State, and the Jews. Now, following the assassination of a number of Islamist officials, Israel’s enemies have sworn revenge. This could intensify the aggression of Tehran’s proxies, currently attacking Israel on up to seven fronts, or even bring in Iranian forces more directly.

While Israel is engaged in a highly publicised war started by Hamas on October 7th last year, it also faces coordinated assaults from the Houthi Movement in Yemen, Shia militias operating from Iraq and Syria, and—probably the greatest immediate danger—from Hezbollah in Lebanon. Following Hezbollah rocket attacks, which started on October 8th, its commander Fuad Shukr was killed last week—most likely in an unclaimed IDF operation.

Argentina’s AI and the Rise of Pre-Crime Digital Surveillance

Argentina’s new initiative to launch the Applied Artificial Intelligence for Security Unit (UIAAS) represents a concerning step toward a surveillance-heavy approach to tackling crime. Under the guise of innovation, this unit, embedded within the Ministry of Security, integrates artificial intelligence to not only sift through vast amounts of historical crime data but also to monitor social media activities ostensibly to predict and preempt criminal behavior.

This approach raises significant ethical questions, especially regarding privacy and civil liberties. The idea that AI can predict future crimes based on patterns might sound efficient, but it harbors risks of overreach, profiling, and potentially unjustified surveillance. The emphasis on monitoring social media activities and detecting “potential threats” could easily slide into invasive scrutiny of everyday citizens’ lives under a loosely defined mandate.

Still keeping well clear of discussing the catalyst of these protests and riots — the mass stabbing of young children last week at a ‘Taylor Swift dance party’ for young children in Southport — Starmer instead continues to focus his energies on the fear amid Britain’s Muslim population.

More Knife Attacks in Germany Committed by Syrians

A Syrian migrant with a Dutch passport is alleged to have committed a knife attack against a four-year-old girl in a supermarket in the southern German city of Wangen im Allgäu in April, and seriously injured her. The perpetrator and the victim did not know each other. The girl was in the supermarket with her mother when the incident happened and had to be operated on after the stabbing.

A psychiatric report was ordered to check the 34-year-old man’s mental state. The prosecution has accused him of attempted murder and dangerous bodily harm.

The motive of the perpetrator remains unclear but the man was already known to the police, as he had acted aggressively before. He is said to have come to Wangen im Allgäu in 2023 to visit his sister and her family. A few months before the knife attack, he had been in the same supermarket and acted violently towards his relatives, including the children.

Report Finds Biden-Harris Released 99 Illegal Aliens on FBI Terror Watchlist Into American Communities

A new interim staff report from the House Judiciary Committee and Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement, published on Monday, highlights how the Biden administration, with ‘Border Czar’ VP Kamala Harris, facilitated the greatest illegal alien invasion ever on the United States.

The report titled “Terror At Our Door: How The Biden-Harris Administration’s Open-Borders Policies Undermine National Security And Endanger Americans” revealed that the failed southern border policies of President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris have flooded the nation with more than 5.4 million illegal aliens. Additionally, at least 1.9 million known “gotaways” also entered, bringing the total to 7.3 million illegal entries.

Taxpayers Expected to Save Millions After COVID-Era Perk for Illegal Immigrants Gets Cancelled

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) ended a COVID-era program that granted hundreds of free minutes of video calls to illegal immigrants, Fox News Digital has learned — a move that is estimated to save taxpayers more than $10 million a year.

The federal agency began offering illegal immigrants in custody 520 minutes of free domestic and international phone and video calls per month in May 2020 due to the then-emerging COVID-19 pandemic and visitation restrictions that were implemented as a consequence. The cost of the program is $10.2 million a year.

The public health emergency for the pandemic ended in May 2023, but the program remained in effect even as in-person visitation has resumed with the ending of social distancing requirements.

The Biden-Harris Economy: 1.2 Million Fewer Americans in Workforce as ‘All’ Job Growth Goes to Foreign Workers

Under President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s leadership, the American economy has been disproportionally benefitting foreign-born workers over native-born Americans, the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics report reveals.

In July, 1.2 million fewer Americans held jobs compared to a year prior. At the same time, 1.3 million more foreign-born workers are holding jobs — suggesting that most job growth in the Biden-Harris economy is going to newly arrived migrants.

Algerian Boxer Imane Khelif Refuses to Discuss Failed IBA Gender Test

Algerian Olympic boxer Imane Khelif, who has been at the center of controversy after the International Boxing Association (IBA) chief claimed Khelif had male chromosomes, refused to answer any questions on Sunday about biological sex or fairness concerns at the Paris Games.

The IBA disqualified Khelif, fighting in the 66 kilogram division, and Taiwanese fighter Lin Yu-ting, fighting in the 57 kilogram division, from fighting in its women’s tournaments in March 2023 on the grounds that they failed unspecified tests to confirm that they fit the governing body’s definition of a woman. IBA President Umar Kremlev told the Russian news agency Tass at the time that Lin and Khelif “have XY chromosomes,” the genetic makeup of a human male.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) allowed Lin and Khelif to compete because it does not use the IBA testing standards, requiring athletes only to present their passports and qualifying them to compete as men or women, depending on how their countries classify them.

International Boxing Association Fires Back at IOC in Row Over Gender Tests: ‘This Boxer is Male’

The International Boxing Association (IBA) held a press conference Monday to defend itself for its ban of two controversial boxers from claims that its decisions were illegitimate leveled by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

In 2023, the IBA President Umar Kremlev explained his organization’s decision to disqualify Taiwan’s Lin Yu-ting and Algeria’s Imane Khelif from competing in the IBA’s 2023 Women’s World Boxing Championships, according to Russia’s Tass News Agency. “Based on DNA tests, we identified a number of athletes who tried to trick their colleagues into posing as women. According to the results of the tests, it was proved that they have XY chromosomes. Such athletes were excluded from competition,” Kremlev said.

However, despite the 2023 disqualification and the stated testing results, the IOC ignored the IBA’s findings and allowed Khelif and Lin to fight in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris this year.

Trans Person’s ‘Facial Feminization’ Surgery Will Not be Covered by Ontario Health Plan

Ontario taxpayers will not be forced to pay for a biological male to have his features appear more feminine. Facial feminization surgery is used by transgendered women to look more feminine in a way that hormones alone can’t provide.

But should taxpayers be obliged to pick up the cost?

“Why should this quickly growing identity group be entitled to services that others are not,” said Pamela Buffone, founder of the Canadian Gender Report, according to the National Post.

The individual who was denied the funding is identified as M.F. and is said to suffer “severe gender dysphoria.” M.F., who cannot be identified due to a publication ban, is seeking surgical redress for “a pronounced Adam’s apple and prominent forehead,” according to the Post.

Vatican Finally Condemns Paris Olympics Parody of Last Supper

ROME — The Vatican said this weekend it was “saddened” by the drag queen parody of the Last Supper on display during the July 26 opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, after critics complained loudly over the Vatican’s prolonged silence on the matter.

“The Holy See is saddened by some scenes of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games and cannot but join the voices that have been raised in recent days to deplore the offense done to many Christians and believers of other religions,” it said in a statement.

“In a prestigious event where the whole world comes together around common values, there should be no allusions that ridicule the religious convictions of many people,” the statement said.

  1. Britain has a standing army. Starmer seems to threaten a paramilitary police to cudgel Britons to accept Islam as the UK state authority

Re: “Britain has a standing army. Starmer seems to threaten a paramilitary police to cudgel Britons to accept Islam as the UK state authority.”

Yes, that is my interpretation as well. Starmer isn’t the only globalist politician to have spoken in such terms. Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Macron conferred some years ago, and during their meeting discussed the possibility of forming a “rapid reaction force” for the European Union.

To which observers rightly asked, “For what purpose?” since the EU is already protected by NATO as well as the individual armies and police forces of individual nations. Reading between the lines, it seems fairly obvious that they want an armed paramilitary force for their own ends and under their control. Starmer would seem to feel the same.

On August 6, 2024, it will be 79 years since the United States bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan. Friends of peace around the world are demonstrating on August 6 to remind that nuclear war should never be fought and can never be won.

“An international chorus of voices must now drown out the constant talk of war and call for peace!”

    The organizer argues:

“After the end of the Cold War, an opportunity was given for global peace. Today, NATO has expanded right up to Russia’s borders. The US has left almost all nuclear disarmament treaties. It has triggered a new nuclear arms race without any such safety nets.

At the NATO summit in Washington earlier this summer, it was decided to send F16 planes to Ukraine, planes that can carry the B-61 type nuclear weapons stationed in Europe. At the same time, the US decided to deploy long-range robots for nuclear weapons in Germany by 2026. When NATO now does not have enough weapons for Ukraine, the only recourse is nuclear weapons.”

The Humanity for Peace movement, which is a project of the Schiller Institute, is building a coalition, across all ideologies, to stop the ongoing escalation into a nuclear war. We refuse to let humanity perish because of madness.

    We demand:

Immediate ceasefire in Ukraine and Israel and unconditional peace talks.

Immediate cessation of all arms exports to Ukraine and Israel.

Disband NATO and the division of the world into geopolitical blocs!

The creation of a new international security architecture for peace and economic development.
This new architecture must take into account the security of every free nation, large and small.

  3. To cut a long story short, sharia law being established in UK. What is happening in Bangladesh will happen here soon.

  4. Were I a British subject, or an Irish native, I would be seeking out the Russian embassy to get the hell out. Russia: mostly white, Christian, and they have no LGBTQ+ BS going on. That alone would be worth moving pets, parents, grandparents, and especially your children to a sane and safe country.
