Gates of Vienna News Feed 7/26/2024

Former President Donald Trump announced today that he will hold another rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, to honor the slain former volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore. The Secret Service has said that it can’t protect the former president during any more large outdoor rallies, so he must have organized his own security arrangements. Perhaps he found some private security firms that aren’t deterred by sloped roofs.

In other news, high-speed train traffic in France was disrupted today just before the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, as the result of arson and cable theft.

‘Major Blow to Poland’s Geostrategic Position’: Thousands Lose Jobs at Poland’s Largest Rail Freight Company

PKP Cargo, Poland’s largest and the EU’s second-largest rail freight operator, has announced plans to lay off 30 percent of its workforce.

This drastic measure will affect 4,142 employees, according to a company press release.

The layoffs come at a time when the firm, vital to Poland’s transportation infrastructure and described as a transport giant of strategic importance, is facing severe operational challenges.

Krzysztof Bosak, deputy speaker of the Sejm and one of the Confederation party leaders, emphasized the dire implications of the layoffs, not only for the affected employees but for the entire nation.

“She Has Our Full Support”: Obamas Endorse Kamala Harris for President

With the Democratic corporate media machine fully propping up Vice President Kamala Harris (see: here & here & here) following President Biden’s shock announcement on Sunday that he’s abandoning his 2024 presidential campaign, it was only a matter of time before former President Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama endorsed VP Harris as the Democratic presidential nominee.

“Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend @KamalaHarris . We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support,” Barack Obama posted on X on Friday morning at 0501 ET.

Barack Obama continued, “At this critical moment for our country, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November. We hope you’ll join us.”

2020 Video of Harris Resurfaces, Proves She Supports ‘Defund the Police’ Efforts: ‘It’s About Upending the System’

A damaging video of a Kamala Harris interview from 2020 has just resurfaced, proving that the Democrat vice president’s radical agenda includes support for far-left “defund the police” efforts.

During an interview with the “Ebro in the Morning!” radio show on New York City-based HOT 97, then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) voiced support for the “defund the police” movement.

However, President Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign started refuting claims that Harris was anti-police justweeks later when she joined the Democrat presidential ticket.

87% of American Voters Say Biden Was Right to Drop Out of Race, Poll Shows

A new poll has revealed that the overwhelming majority of the American people believe that Democrat President Joe Biden did the right thing by dropping out of the presidential race.

According to a New York Times/Siena College Poll released Thursday, American voters almost universally approve of Biden’s decision to end his 2024 re-election campaign.

The survey found that a staggering 87% of registered voters said they approved of Biden’s decision to forego a second term.

Only 9% of respondents said they disapproved of the decision.

A local CBS News affiliate has been hit with a Community Notes “fact check” on X for pushing false claims in a desperate attempt to hide Vice President Kamala Harris’s far-left record from the American people.

CBS Minnesota affiliate WCCO claimed President Donald Trump had “falsely” accused Harris of helping raise money for a bail fund that helped violent criminals get out of prison.

Discount Retailer Big Lots to Close More Than 50 Stores in California

Authored by Katabella Roberts via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours)

Discount retail chain Big Lots is shuttering more than 50 stores across California following a drop in customer spending and economic challenges.

The store locator function of the chain’s website shows 54 stores that will close across the state, but it’s not clear exactly when they will close.

Big Lots said in a June filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that it plans to open three stores nationwide this year and close 35 to 40.

Doctor With Knowledge of Trump’s Wound Disputes FBI Director’s Questioning of Whether Bullet Caused Injury

Republican Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson, the former White House physician with direct knowledge about former President Donald Trump’s ear wound, disputed FBI Director Christopher Wray on Friday after he previously questioned whether a bullet caused the former president’s injury.

Wray said on Wednesday that “there’s some question” on whether Trump got hit by “a bullet or shrapnel” during the July 13 assassination attempt while testifying to the House Judiciary Committee about the FBI’s handling of the incident. Jackson released a statement on Friday saying there is “absolutely no evidence” anything other than a bullet injured Trump’s upper right ear.

Exclusive: Lara Trump, Michael Whatley Train Hundreds of Floridians on How to Secure US Elections

The Republican National Committee (RNC) hosted a “Protect the Vote” event in Tampa Bay on Thursday, in which hundreds of voters learned how to get involved in the GOP’s fight to ensure a fair and transparent presidential election. This effort was led by RNC co-chair Lara Trump and chairman Michael Whatley.

Volunteers and legal experts received training on how to become poll watchers and poll workers, which is part of the RNC’s nationwide election integrity initiative to energize and recruit voters who want to help prevent a repeat of the 2020 presidential election. Appearances at the event included Lara Trump, Michael Whatley, former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Congressman Cory Mills (R-FL), and Florida GOP chairman Evan Power.

FBI Director Wray Uses Trump Assassination Attempt to Criticize Private Messaging

FBI Director Christopher Wray has used a congressional hearing organized after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump to launch another attack against encryption and use that as justification for the state of the investigation.

Appearing before the House Judiciary Committee this week, Wray was supposed to speak about the FBI’s investigation into this extremely serious incident, as well as about what the committee said is “the ongoing politicization” of the agency under his and Attorney-General Merrick Garland’s direction.

But Wray turned it into blaming encrypted apps and services for the pace of the investigation. Quite extraordinarily for a person who is supposed to be highly knowledgeable about security, the FBI chief came across as oblivious to how essential encryption is for people’s online security — from their bank transactions to their communications.

Harlem Bomb Scare Suspect Threatened Cousin With Explosive: Prosecutors

Chontrell Wrenick, the Manhattan man accused of sparking a bomb scare outside an East Harlem NYPD stationhouse, had threatened his cousin with the explosion, claiming that the blast would kill both of them, Manhattan prosecutors said Friday.”I’m going to take us both out,” Wrenick, 50, told his cousin after he was picked up outside of his E. 130th St. apartment building Wednesday.

Just minutes after getting into his cousin’s Honda, Wrenick pulled the device from a camouflage tote bag and showed it to his relative, Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Antonio Melchionna said.

Wrenick also pulled on his cousin’s shirt collar, trying to choke the man, Melchionna said. When that didn’t work, he pulled a 16-inch machete from the same tote bag and struck his relative in the back of the head with it.

The cousin drove to the 25th Precinct stationhouse at E. 119th St. and Lexington Ave. in East Harlem at about 11:50 a.m., officials said.

He immediately told cops outside about the stationhouse about the attack and how Wrenick had a bomb.

“He’s trying to kill me! He has a machete!” the cousin screamed as he sought help, police said.

‘I Urge You to Reconsider’: Gavin Newsom Pleads With Crime-Ridden City to Allow More Police Chases

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom sent a letter to Oakland city officials on Friday asking them to change their policy regarding the pursuit of criminals amid soaring crime.

Newsom sent the letter to Oakland’s mayor, city council and police department encouraging officials to take a harsher position on crime and allow for criminals to be pursued when fleeing officers, which Newsom points out that the current policy does not allow. Current Oakland police protocol only allows for criminals to be chased under strict circumstances, such as when a firearm is involved, but does not warrant pursuit in most other cases, even for violent misdemeanors.

J.D. Vance Ditched by His German Publisher

German publishing house Ullstein has decided not to reprint J.D. Vance’s book Hillbilly Elegy since its author became Donald Trump’s nominee for Vice President. Demand for the book has skyrocketed after Vance was nominated, making the decision bad for business and freedom of expression.

The 39-year-old senator from Ohio wrote his bestselling memoir in 2016, telling his story of growing up poor in southern Ohio, having a drug-addicted mother, and being raised by his strict grandparents.

LinkedIn Co-Founder Reid Hoffman Donates Millions to Harris, Wants Her to Fire Anti-Big Tech FTC Chair Lina Khan

Reid Hoffman, the tech mogul known for co-founding LinkedIn, is reportedly orchestrating a major funding initiative to support Vice President Kamala Harris’s bid for the presidency. He is said to be rallying Silicon Valley’s elite to amass around $100 million for her campaign. However, Hoffman’s support comes with specific demands: he is pressing for the dismissal of Lina Khan, the FTC’s leading antitrust official who has been cracking down on Big Tech monopolies.

Hoffman has also been vocal about his disdain for current tariffs and his preference for the US to revert to its longstanding free trade policies, which he discussed in a CNN interview.

CNN reporter Matt Egan highlighted Hoffman’s specific grievances against FTC Chair Lina Khan, whom he accused of harming American businesses. Hoffman hoped that under a Harris presidency, Khan would be replaced.

Manhattan DA Argues Trump Case Not Affected by Supreme Court Immunity Ruling

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has argued in a new court filing that former President Trump’s criminal case and guilty verdict are not affected by the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on presidential immunity.

“That decision has no bearing on this prosecution and would not support vacatur of the jury’s unanimous verdict (let alone dismissal of the indictment) even if its reasoning did apply here,” reads a July 24 brief from Bragg’s team.

Earlier this month the Supreme Court ruled in a separate case that presidents enjoy absolute immunity for core constitutional conduct, presumptive immunity for official acts, but no immunity for unofficial acts — which Bragg has seized on in his response to a Trump filing asking New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan to toss Trump’s indictment, arguing that communications between Trump and his aides have been used as evidence before the grand jury which indicted Trump and a jury which returned a guilty verdict.

Netanyahu Defends America Before Congress

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had come to D.C. to defend Israel’s war against Islamic terrorists, instead he ended up defending America in a city and Congress overrun with them.

Marxist and Jihadist mobs prowled the streets of D.C., tearing down and burning American flags, and putting up the terrorist flags of the PLO in their place. Hamas supporters openly waved the green flag of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization and even the black ‘battle flag’ used by ISIS and other Jihadists made an appearance in the capital of the United States.

The Columbus fountain outside Union Station was vandalized with the red triangles supporting Islamic terrorist attacks and “Hamas is Coming”. “Long live the intifada” was scrawled on the Freedom Bell. A courageous lone individual rushed to save an American flag being burned by a mob shouting “Allahu Akbar” which quickly gave chase. The Capitol Police, formerly so beloved by Democrats and media, battled more of the red-shirted radical thugs with no support.

“Allahu Akbar! Hamas!” a Muslim protester shouted. “We’re gonna kill all the Jews.”

Then in a few hours the insurrectionist mob that assaulted Capitol Police officers was set loose.

The message from the Biden administration and Democrats was once again that terrorist mobs could freely vandalize landmarks, threaten members of Congress and assault Capitol Police.

NY AG Letitia James Petitions Supreme Court to Not Allow Missouri to Bring Suit Against State Over Trump Conviction, Gag Order

New York Attorney General Letitia James has urged the Supreme Court to reject a request from Missouri AG Andrew Bailey to intervene in former President Donald Trump’s court case, in which he was convicted of 34 felony counts of the falsification of business records, usually a misdemeanor in the state of New York. James argued against Missouri’s appeal to pause Trump’s sentencing hearing, set for September 18 after a postponement, and lift the gag order imposed on him.

Earlier in July, Missouri AG Andrew Bailey requested permission from the Supreme Court to file a complaint against New York, aiming to halt Trump’s sentencing scheduled for September and lift the gag order. Bailey argued that New York’s actions violated the rights of Missouri voters by restricting them from hearing from Trump, a presidential candidate.

NYU Prof: Trump, Like Hitler, Will Use Assassination Attempt for ‘Authoritarian’ Goals

Authored by Matt Lamb via The College Fix

Being almost killed ‘can cause a wave of sympathy,’ professor says

President Donald Trump may take a page out of the “authoritarian playbook,” and use his assassination attempt to make himself more powerful, according to a New York University professor.

Historian Ruth Ben-Ghiat wrote in The Conversation that “assassination attempts can cause a wave of sympathy for leaders that can boost their personality cults as well.”

“And with each failed attempt, the personality cult themes about the leader’s macho toughness, resilience and invincibility gain credence among his followers,” the history professor said. “This was certainly the case with Castro and Mussolini, and it has been the case so far with former President Donald Trump.”

“From Mussolini and Hitler onward, strongmen have posed as victims of internal and external enemies, as well as protectors of the nation — as the only individuals who could save the people and lead them to greatness,” she said.

(This is not the first time she has compared Trump to Mussolini.)

X’s Grok AI Feeds on Your Data: How to Turn it Off

X users are starting to discover that their posts and interactions are being utilized to enhance Grok, a generative AI chatbot. This practice was initiated without prior notification.

In X’s settings, a newly added “Data sharing” toggle suggests that any data created or interacted with on the platform may contribute to “training and fine-tuning” Grok. Previously, Grok’s training was limited to a disparate set of texts available publicly online, and it did not approach the sophistication or breadth of data sets used by competitors like ChatGPT or Co-Pilot.

X maintains that allowing Grok to access a live stream of public X posts enhances its ability to deliver timely and diverse responses to user queries. In theory, Grok aims to better understand human language and communication, deliver more relevant and engaging replies, and develop a balanced viewpoint without political bias, even attempting to cultivate a sense of humor.

Breakthrough in Negotiations With US as Apache Helicopters to Finally Arrive in Poland

“I can say now that we have succeeded. We are finalizing the offset agreement,” confirmed Colonel Robert Fromholz, Deputy Chief of the Armament Agency, on Polsat News TV.

Britain’s New Left-Wing Government Withdraws Opposition to Benjamin Netanyahu ICC Arrest Warrant

The United Kingdom will no longer object to the International Criminal Court seeking an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a major foreign policy change for the country’s new left-globalist government.

The British government had submitted a brief to the International Criminal Court (ICC) questioning the body’s jurisdiction to issue arrest warrants for Israel back in June, throwing into question the move by the court’s move to seek the arrest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Now a spokesman for 10 Downing Street, the official office and residence of the British Prime Minister, has made implicit this will not be pursued any further and the new British government, which flipped from globalist centre-right to globalist social democrat left in this month’s national elections.

Did a Lax Vetting Process Allow Foreign Agents Into Germany?

On orders from Annalena Baerbock’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, German embassies, especially in Africa and Asia, skimped on following due diligence when evaluating family reunification applications from foreign nationals. That’s the conclusion of an investigation by Cicero magazine, published on July 25th. In at least one instance, two men suspected of being foreign agents came close to being flown to Germany under the reunification plan.

The in-depth journalistic investigation adds to previous reports, currently being investigated by public prosecutors, alleging that the foreign ministry issued illegal passports and visas and relied on left-wing NGOs rather than German security authorities to assess the eligibility of applicants.

EU Commission Threatens “Immediate” Punishment if Slovakia Regulates NGOs

The European Commission threatened Slovakia’s sovereigntist government with legal action (an ‘Infringement Procedure’) if Bratislava goes ahead with its planned legislation requiring foreign-funded non-governmental organizations to label themselves as such. This, as Brussels has been crafting its own ‘foreign agents law’ for nearly two years now.

“I was in Bratislava and I was very clear,” EU Commission Vice-President Vera Jourova said on Wednesday, July 24th, when unveiling the EU’s annual Rule of Law Report which once again unsurprisingly singled out Hungary and Slovakia as the greatest offenders.

“If you follow the Hungarian example on the NGOs law, we will launch an infringement procedure [for violating EU law] immediately, because already we have the decision of the court on the table,” she said.

EU Threatens to Withhold More EU Funds From Hungary

The European Commission could freeze even more EU funds owed to Hungary because of a law that Brussels claims breaches the EU’s ‘democratic values.’ The Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders, told Hungarian daily Népszava that he cannot rule out the suspension of EU cohesion funds due to Hungary’s Sovereignty Protection Act.

The Hungarian parliament passed the law in December to defend the country against undue political interference by foreign entities. An office was created to investigate disinformation campaigns and activities that seek to influence election outcomes. Banned foreign financing can be punished with a prison sentence. The ruling conservative party, Fidesz, deemed it necessary to take such action after revelations surfaced that the left-wing opposition’s 2022 election campaign was massively fundedfrom overseas, mainly through a U.S. non-profit organisation.

Former Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki Set to Chair European Conservatives and Reformists

Sources indicate that Mateusz Morawiecki, former conservative prime minister of Poland, is likely to be appointed as the chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) in the European Parliament.

According to press reports, Morawiecki is tipped to soon replace Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni as leader of the center-right group. However, this position might not grant him significant power within the European Parliament faction due to a recent change in the party’s statutes, which now adhere to Belgian law.

Under the new statutes, the primary power within the party lies with the secretary general. “Friends from sunny Italy suggest that this position will always be held by an Italian,” dorzeczy.pl news outlet reports.

The thieves attempted to steal their backpacks as the tech staffers were walking to their accommodations.

The two staffers, who were not identified or described in Nine Entertainment’s account of the incident, were walking to their lodgings in the northeastern Parisian municipality of Le Bourget when a “group of people” accosted them.

French High-Speed Rail Network Crippled by Massive ‘Sabotage’ (Videos)

High-speed train traffic in France was disrupted on Friday, just hours before the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics following a series of “malicious acts”including arson and cable theft, according to the country’s state railway operator SNCF.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the company said at least three TGV lines had been damaged, including the Atlantic, Northern and Eastern routes. A group of saboteurs set fires and stole cables at the Courtalain, Pagny-sur-Moselle, and Croisilles junctions of the high-speed network. Another attack was foiled in Verginy on the South-Eastern line.

The operator said “a large number of trains are being diverted or canceled,” while the company’s CEO Jean-Pierre Farandou estimated that at least 800,000 travelers would be affected by the disruption. In a statement, SNCF asked all travelers who can postpone their trips to do so or use the classic (non-high-speed) lines until TGV traffic is restored. Repairs have already started, but are expected to continue until at least Monday.

“It’s big. There are hundreds of wires to reconnect one by one, which control safety devices. Then we have to test. It’s a goldsmith’s work,” Matthieu Chabanel, head of maintenance at the SNCF, told Le Figaro.

Transport Minister Patrice Vergriete said the attacks were deliberate, as “everything was done at the same time” with the perpetrators’ “vans” found on sites. So far, however, nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack, and no arrests have been made.

The attacks were condemned by the French authorities, who said they were aimed at destabilizing France, especially as they had coincided with the start of the Paris Olympics.

“Through the SNCF, it’s a piece of France that they’re attacking,” Farandou stated, branding the perpetrators as a “gang of crazy, irresponsible people, who thought it was smart to prevent us from doing our job.”

Vergriete wrote on X that he “firmly condemns these criminal actions which will compromise the departures on holiday of many French people.” On BFMTV, Minister for Sports Amelie Oudea-Castera described the attacks as “acts of sabotage.”

“It is truly appalling. It is playing against the [Olympic] Games, playing against France,” she stated.

Acting French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal said the intelligence services and law enforcement had been “mobilized” to probe the attacks and find the perpetrators.

German Magazine Compact Files Lawsuit Against Government Over Ban

Controversial right-wing German magazine Compact a has filed a lawsuit with the country’s Federal Administrative Court against a ban.

On July 17, Germany’s interior ministry banned the media outlet, which has often criticised the left-leaning government, in what some called the most aggressive move against press freedom since the Second World War.

Interior minister Nancy Faeser of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) justified the step by saying Compact and its associated video production company Conspect Film were “central mouthpieces of the right-wing extremist scene” and were against Constitutional order.

German Ministry Mistakenly Targets CHANEL in Islamic Extremism Purge

In its clampdown on Islamic extremists in Germany, the country’s interior ministry has targeted several Islamic centres, a mosque, and their affiliated online media channels.

Unfortunately, in doing so, it made an embarrassing error.

Due to a typo, the decree mistakenly named the luxury brand CHANEL’s YouTube channel instead of the intended Islamist channel connected to the Islamic Centre in Berlin.

On July 24, Germany closed one of its largest and oldest mosques and banned the nationwide Shia Muslim organisation that operates it, citing concerns over religious extremism.

But, in the ministry’s announcement, a typo has caused some red faces.

Poland: Tusk’s Ukrainian Beautician Causes a Stir

A Ukrainian beautician has been working for Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his party, Civic Platform (PO), while being a member of an organisation that successfully lobbied for reducing VAT for beauty salons.

The PO included cutting the tax for such establishments as one of its 100 election pledges. After it took up the reins of government last year, that relief was introduced from April 1, with VAT on cosmetic services dropping from 23 per cent to 8 per cent, according to online site VATCalc.

At the same time the government raised VAT on food from zero to 5 per cent.

The woman in question is Kristina Voronovska, it was reported on July 25, who is some 30 years younger than Tusk. She has worked in Poland as a qualified beautician and has a Instagram account #Ukrainiangirl.

Poland: Cigarette Prices Set to Surge by 50% in 2025

After the new year, the price of a pack of cigarettes in Poland is expected to rise to approximately 26 to 27 zlotys, approximately €6.05 to €6.28, announced Deputy Finance Minister Jaroslaw Neneman. The current price range of 17-18 zlotys, which equals between €3.95-€4.19, means a significant increase of roughly 50 percent.

This price jump is the result of the long-anticipated acceleration in the rate of excise tax increases on tobacco products. During a speech at the parliamentary subcommittee meeting on public health, Neneman also mentioned the Polish Finance Ministry’s intention to impose excise taxes on all nicotine products, which are currently “outside the system.” Furthermore, a fee of 40 zlotys (€9.30) will be introduced on vaporizing devices, both disposable and reusable.

A few days ago, Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski noted that these changes should result in an increase of approximately 4 billion to 5 billion zlotys (about €930 million to €1.16 billion) in tax revenues.

Seemingly contradicting himself many times on the matter, he said he is a “champion of press freedom,” which is of “the utmost importance for democracy in Germany,” but then went on to say there are “of course opinions that are forbidden in Germany,” including, for example, the glorification of national socialism or anti-semitism.

To Hell With the Will of the People

The globalist left is increasingly unscrupulous in its disregard for the voters’ choice.

The third-strongest faction, the Patriots for Europe, will not have a single official in the European Parliament. It won’t happen, because the globalist-Jacobin majority —which, for the sake of simplicity, is mostly called “the left” — is violating all written rules and customary law and ignoring the will of the people and has now prevented it. The Ursulas announced that, in their opinion, the sovereigntist faction — largely created by Viktor Orban— is far-right and, as such, anti-Europe, anti-progress and anti-humanity, and therefore should be quarantined, isolated and suffocated.

There is no talk of their deportation yet, but based on the dynamics of events, this may even happen in a few years.

UK: Boy, 16, Killed Woman After Inhaling Laughing Gas

A 16-year-old boy has been found guilty of the manslaughter of a woman during a row after they both inhaled laughing gas on Christmas Eve.

The youth had a physical fight with Kacey Clarke, 22, and then stabbed her in the chest at a flat in Bermondsey, south-east London.

Earlier that evening he was caught on CCTV threatening to “ching her up” and kill her, the Old Bailey heard.

Both Ms Clarke and her killer had a history of inhaling nitrous oxide — commonly known as laughing gas — which was classified a class C drug in November 2023. The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, will be sentenced at a later date.

UK: Shocking Moment Innocent Taxi Driver is Dragged Into Terrifying Street Crime as Masked Machete-Wielding Attackers Try to Stab His Passenger Before He Makes Quick Getaway

Terrifying video shows an innocent London taxi driver being caught up in a brutal knife fight as masked machete-wielding attackers try to stab one of his passengers.

Footage has been shared on social media of the disturbing incident on Spencer Road in Rainham at 5.10am on June 23.

At the start of the footage, the taxi driver is seen waving goodbye to three jolly-looking men who had been riding in his cab before saying, ‘I’m going home now’.

Seconds after the trio leave the cab, a Mercedes pulls up behind and at least three men jump out.

A scuffle breaks out as the taxi driver begins to slowly reverse away. After about 10 seconds, one of the men who was previously in the cab — wearing a light blue t-shirt and a beanie — suddenly pulls open the rear left door and jumps inside.

He is being pursued by an attacker wearing a black hoodie and a red mask, who smashes the taxi’s window with a hammer before another man — with his face also covered — stabs him with a large knife.

The terrified man inside the cab pleads ‘uncle, drive’ as he is repeatedly stabbed through both windows by the three attacks — with blood pooling on his shirt.

Several seconds follow where the driver appears to be frozen in terror, before he begins moving away while the stabbing victim wrestles his attackers off him.

The man inspects his injuries before, through the back window, he notices the Mercedes is now pursuing him.

‘Drive fast, drive fast, uncle,’ the man pleads to the driver, before promising to pay him for the damage to his car.

The victim has a gash on his arm and over his right eye, with blood smeared across his shirt.

Ukraine ‘Blackmailing’ Hungary and Slovakia With Oil Shutdown, Budapest Claims

Ukraine is attempting to “blackmail” Slovakia and Hungary with an oil embargo over both countries’ positions on Russia’s invasion, Budapest has claimed.

Speaking at a press conference on July 26, Hungary’s Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, Gergely Gulyas, said Kyiv’s decision to embargo fuel supplied by Russian energy company Lukoil from passing through the country was motivated by a dislike of Budapest and Bratislava.

“Ukraine is blackmailing the two countries that support the ceasefire and peace talks, and this is behind the blackmail,” Gulyas said, citing the fact that other Russian firms that send oil to other countries remained unaffected.

He added that Budapest — which is responsible for around two-fifths of Ukraine’s electricity imports — could be forced to consider retaliatory measures if a solution was not found.

Georgia is the Next Country That Might Face a High-Profile Assassination Attempt

Authored by Andrew Korybko via substack

Georgia’s State Security Service (SSS) informed the public that they’re investigating a criminal group linked to the former government which plotted to assassinate the founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party. According to RT, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze claimed that these are the same forces that were behind the attempted assassinations of his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico and former US President Donald Trump, while Politico cited local media to report that the Georgian Legion is under suspicion.

It was explained in early May why “The Georgian State Security Service & The Georgian Legion Are On The Brink Of War”, namely because that pro-US armed group can play a crucial role in catalyzing a spree of urban terrorism ahead of, during, or right after fall’s parliamentary elections. The preceding analysis followed the failed attempt by rioters to storm the parliament over a week prior in protest of their country’s FARA-inspired foreign agents legislation, which readers can learn more about here.

France: ‘Gayest Olympics Ever’: Paris Olympics Opens With Suggested Bisexual Threesome

Hunter Heckel, charged as a juvenile, will not have any public conviction on his record nor will he have to register as a sex offender. The decision comes despite Judge Pamela Brooks stating during his 2022 sentencing, “Over the years this court has read many psychosexual reports, and when I read yours, frankly, it scared me. It scared me for you, it scared me for society.”

Polish PM Punishes His Own MPs After Abortion Bill Fails

After narrowly losing his bid in parliament to loosen the country’s abortion laws, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is handing out punishments to the three party members who de facto abstained from the vote, allowing the measure to fail.

The bill would have decriminalized the act of helping a woman get an abortion up to the twelfth week of pregnancy. It failed by just three votes after three members of Tusk’s liberal Civic Coalition (KO) party did not join in the parliamentary session because of other important commitments.

Trans Cyclists Win First, Second, Third Place in Washington Women’s Grand Prix Race

At a Washington cycling championship on July 19, two-person teams featuring trans-identified male athletes took first, second, and third in a cycling relay race. Those teams featured one biological woman racing with a biological male. The next runner-up teams were comprised of only women.

At the Marymoor Grand Prix in Washington’s Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome, each of the top placing teams in the Elite Women’s Madison, a style of cycling race, featured a biological male: Jordan Lothrop in the first place team, Jenna Lingwood in the second, and Eva Lin in the third, according to Fox News.

Lothrop competed against men in the athlete’s home country of Canada as recently as last year, the Daily Mail reported. Lothrop was ranked 22 in the men’s Victoria Cycling League this time last year. Lingwood raced in the men’s division until 2017. Lin began racing in the women’s division in 2022.

  1. Re: “The Secret Service has said that it can’t protect the former president during any more large outdoor rallies, so he must have organized his own security arrangements.”

So, they’re not just incompetent – but a bunch of liars, too. Very revealing statement of conduct, very revealing indeed. The question is ~ what will Congress do about it?

    • Congress will do what they always do. Hold investigations, then do nothing, and also introduce bills that will never get a majority vote. That has been their routine for decades now. Also take note that there are indoor stadiums, even mega-churches that are of a larger capacity then the outdoor rally held in Butler, Pennsylvania. This is the U.S. Secret Service merely giving Trump the formal message that they will no longer be protecting him. Two weeks, too late.

    • I thought it was the Secret Service’s job to protect their principal, not to tell him what he can and cannot do. Having failed to prevent an assassination of Trump, it seems now they are washing their hands of him. Anyone else get the feeling the Deep State wants him dead?

        A coupla things..
        1) I presume you meant the SS failed to prevent an ATTEMPTED assassination of Trump..
        2) If you just figured out that The Party (what many refer to as the “deep state”) wants to destroy “Orange Hitler”—figuratively, politically or literally—then you haven’t been paying attention….and won’t win what’s behind door number 2..

“As predicted in April 2017, as beneficial as his ACTIONS as president have been for the country, I reckon Trump’s odds of completing his first term remain at 50/50…And, actually, considering the powers that’re allied against him and their long history of law-breaking and irrationality, the odds’re probably more like 49/51 against.” —posted to fb (July 2018)

“The powers that’ve been allied against “Orange Hitler” for the past several years will NOT stop until the man is dead—politically or literally. That much I KNOW.” —posted to fb (May 2023)
