Cultural Nonsense? A Programmed Denial

Last week I belatedly posted a response by Victor Onrust to an essay by Thai Peter. Below is Peter’s counter-response.

UPDATE: The Catholic Insight article referred to by Peter is here.

Cultural Nonsense? A Programmed Denial

by Peter

That was an interesting response from Victor Onrust. It cuts across something I was working on already concerning Tony Blair and New Labour, but that is for another time. For now, ever since the concept of Cultural Marxism arose, the Left has been unanimous in the vehemence of its denial that it ever existed. At least Victor appears to be prepared to argue the point rather than resort to the usual name-calling and sneering.

There is one point I must refute from the start: I do not see, nor have I ever seen “Cultural Marxism” as a conspiracy theory. It was a conspiracy, pure and simple — a conspiracy to corrupt in order to impose a communist revolution by stealth. That is how I have always seen it, and it is still at work in the here and now. I first came upon the phrase “Cultural Marxism” in Melanie Phillips’ book “Londonistan”, though she attributed it to the work of Antonio Gramsci rather than the Frankfurt School.

Victor states in his opening paragraph “As with most conspiracy ideas, little is said about who the conspirators are.” Not true. The identities of the “conspirators” are well known. Among others, the main players were Georgy Lukacs, Herbert Marcuse, Theodor Adorno, Walter Benjamin, Leo Lowenthal, Erich Fromm, Max Horkheimer, and Jurgen Habermas — Victor mentions them in his fourth paragraph. As for having a definite plan, that was formulated decades ago and was designed to impose a world-wide Communist revolution by the gradual destruction of Western culture, particularly Judeo-Christianity. It has taken a long time, but it is closer to success today than it has ever been.

Towards the end of 1922, the Comintern (Communist International) began to consider why their 1917 revolution failed to spread into Europe and throughout the West. On Lenin’s initiative, a meeting took place at the Marx-Engels Institute in Moscow to “clarify the concept and give concrete effect to a Marxist Cultural Revolution” — presumably as opposed to a proletarian bloody one, which had already failed to take off outside of Russia. Georgy Lukacs was present at the meeting, and I am reminded that, soon after becoming a Communist, sometime in 1917, he wrote, “Who will save us from Western Civilisation?” Maybe he would.

Also at the meeting was one Willi Munzenberg, a German-born Communist propagandist and fundraiser. Munzenberg foresaw a top-down initiative to “mobilise all the intellectuals and use them to make Western civilization stink. Only then, after we have corrupted all its values and made life impossible, will we be able to impose the dictatorship of the proletariat.” It took a lot of time, but that seems to have happened, particularly over the last thirty years or so.

In 1924, after Lenin’s death, Stalin began to view Lukacs and like-minded people as revisionists, so a number of them decamped to Germany, where Lukacs chaired the first meeting of a group of Communist-oriented sociologists, a gathering that was to lead to the foundation of the Frankfurt School. It was from here that the basic principles of Cultural Marxism were formulated. When Hitler’s rise caused the primary members of the group to flee to America, a number of them were put to work by American institutions. For instance, Adorno — an accomplished musician — obtained the post of Head of the Music Section at the Office of Radio Research at the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. Popularly known as the “Radio Project,” and funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, it examined how the media could affect the population and increase their susceptibility to mass indoctrination and control techniques.

The Chrislam Deception

The following essay is another one that has lain in my overstuffed “to do” folder for more than a year. And — I’m embarrassed to admit — I don’t know where I got it. It’s been so long that I’ve forgotten, and I can’t find an email about it. So if you sent this to me, please let me know, and I’ll add a hat tip.

The Chrislam Deception

The growing darkness and emerging death of Christianity in the church
(Abridged version)

by Danielle T’arna

”I stand amongst you as one who is crying out for you to wake up before what you have dies and is taken from you, never to be seen again.”

In recent years the merger of Christianity and Islam, “Chrislam”, has now reached the level in the UK that it has become part of mainstream Christianity and culture. It is more well-known as Inter Faith in the UK, and fully embraced by the church and state. I truly believe that we celebrated our last traditional Christmas and Easter many years ago in the UK. For many years evangelical Christians have been warning of a deceptive doctrine and growing movement that has been slowly emerging over the last two decades.

Chrislam gradually emerged in the UK when we started to see a mass influx of immigrants and refugees. Where Muslim immigrants and refugees settled and were housed in major cities we started to see multi-faith events and organizations develop along with church-led community groups and charities that tried to promote community cohesion amongst their growing Muslim communities. Chrislam has flourished because of the nation’s fear of Islamic terror attacks, fatwas being issued under Islamic blasphemy laws, and a need to understand a very alien and exotic ideology and religion. We have seen these terrorist attacks and threats from Islam used as a tool to enforce cultural changes in many Christian countries such as Canada, Sweden, Germany and France.

Chrislam infiltrated the church on many levels, including theology, community organisations and projects, the use of churches for Islamic worship and prayers, charities, the inclusion of Islam in church services, worship, prayers, sermons, music and arts festivals,[1] and changing the names of Christian festivals such as Christmas and Easter to ones that accommodate Islam. I personally have seen Christian schools promote the reading of the Koran (quran) and take their pupils for regular visits to their local mosque. I have seen Christian schools cater halal meals for Muslim pupils while enforcing halal food on the rest of its pupils. I have seen the merger of both Christian and Muslim festivals in schools and in community-run projects.[2]

I have only just begun to scratch the surface of Chrislam in the UK with this article. I have only named just a few of the many government and non-government organisations involved with Chrislam. It is a well-funded and corrupt machine paid for by the church, the government, Islamic foundations, Islamic countries and the European Union.

My immersion in the world of Chrislam

There is one question that I have been asking myself: “Why is the church inviting overseas missionaries to come and work in the UK?” Surely it can’t be for the evangelism of a Christian nation? I can answer this with my personal insight and involvement with one such missionary couple from 2014-2017.

In late 2014 I was invited to a community peace meal in the Winson Green area of Birmingham by an Australian couple who are overseas missionaries. Ash and Anji Barker had recently arrived in Birmingham after working as missionaries in the Klong Toey slums of Bangkok. Anji had been invited to work in Birmingham by the UK Christian charity Oasis Trust[3] and to coordinate community activities in two of the charities, Christian-run Oasis Academy schools in Winson Green. When Ash and Anji moved into a very large vicarage called Newbigin House they quickly got to work establishing a charity called Newbigin Community Trust[2], of which I was a founding trustee. Newbigin Community Trust is just part of the many projects run from Newbigin House.[4]

During my time alongside Ash and Anji, I would observe how they worked with different groups of people in the community and how they would link with churches, work with local authorities, businesses and NGOs. Ash is a very laid back, loving and calm person. Anji is very very active, encouraging and enabling, didn’t stop talking, and never thought about what she was saying. We were working with many Muslim families who had come to the UK as refugees and migrants. We started to adapt our work around the physical and emotional needs of local Muslims. We installed special washing facilities for Muslims when they have finished using the toilet. We started to get halal-only produce and set up cooking schools run by local Muslim women called “Flavors of Winson Green” for “dumb white Christians” to attend.

The main part of Anji’s work centred on the Oasis Foundry community hub where she would run daily classes and groups for mainly Muslim women, and many of the Muslim women would also get involved in community-run events after school hours. I started seeing Korans and Islamic scriptures placed around the house. Anji told me that one of the Muslim women was radicalised and was teaching English classes to other Muslim women at the school and there were concerns that she might be radicalizing the other Muslim women. I thought it was very odd that Anji was allowing this to happen, and when I flagged it up it fell on deaf ears.

I began to see holes appear in how Anji approached people and work. She would often make negative remarks about Christians being “f***ing dumb”, and she welcomed their being used. She was aware that one of the vulnerable white teenage girls who attended youth club on Friday evenings had an adult Muslim boyfriend who was a taxi driver and would drop her off at youth club and would pick her up later. Anji did not flag this up to the police or social services, despite my insisting that she do so. Her manager knew about this, and so did the head teacher. During this period, whenever there was an Islamic terrorist attack it would not be acknowledged or talked about so as not to upset the Muslims who came to the house.

Near the end of 2016 I started to doubt the authenticity of Ash and Anji’s mission as I saw how young white families were being discriminated against for being white. Despite the young family’s needs for support and help from our charity, our main focus was providing support for Muslim families, some of whom were not in need of any support. They started to offer immersion courses for paying Christians who wanted to gain experience working in a Muslim community in inner city Birmingham. I began to see that Ash and Anji were politically motivated, and that the new progressive Christian movement that had become part of mainstream Christianity was ripe for people like Ash and Anji to introduce naïve Christians to Islam.

How Do Muslims Justify Emigrating to Non-Muslim Nations?

Our guest-essayist SF returns with an analysis of the Islamic Hijra to the West.

How do Muslims justify emigrating to non-Muslim nations?

by SF

Islam is a supremacist, totalitarian “religion”. It holds that Muslims are the only true human beings, and that all non-Muslims are inferiors who must be converted, enslaved, or killed. Yet today, more than ever, we see hordes of Muslims desperately fleeing their paradisiacal Islamic homelands for non-Muslim countries, particularly in Europe. And they pass through many other Muslim countries to get there.

What are the underlying causes?

1.   Overpopulation: Islam is a primitive, savage, tribal “religion”. The Koran tells all Muslims to have as many children as possible, so that they can be raised as Islamic holy warriors who can conquer the world in the name of allah.
2.   Islam arose and prevails in countries with limited natural resources, so that sooner or later it eventuates that there is just not enough to go around.
3.   The average level of intelligence in Muslim countries tends to be on the low side, so that they have trouble competing in our global economy, which favors technological prowess. As a result, they become economic migrants, leaving for liberal Western countries with generous welfare benefits.

How do they justify this?

1.   They say that allah made Western countries rich, and Muslim countries poor, so that Muslims will have an added incentive to wage holy war on the infidels and plunder them.
2.   Muslim religious teachers have established rules that allow Muslims to emigrate to non-Muslim countries:
    a.   The non-Muslim country must allow Muslims complete religious freedom.
    b.   The emigrating Muslims are to be considered as scouts who are sent to evaluate the non-Muslim country, and help prepare it for eventual Muslim conquest.

Because of these conditions, the Muslim emigrants have no problem killing any native non-Muslim who insults Islam, or engaging in acts of terror if the native non-Muslim host government does not show enough “respect” towards Islam and Muslims (an interesting way of showing their gratitude).

Cultural Nonsense

Victor Onrust is a Gates of Vienna reader from the Netherlands. He sent this essay sometime last year, and I have been so dilatory that I failed to post it until now. For the first time in many months, the pressure of new material has abated — possibly because MissPiggy is on vacation! — and I’ve actually had time to dig down into my immense “to do” pile and excavate some material that should have been posted long ago.

This article is a response to an essay by Peter in Thailand.

Cultural nonsense

by Victor Onrust

I have followed “Peter’s” series on the loony left. And although he makes some good observations, especially in part one and part three, The Red Evolution IV: The Subversive Left is rather problematic. Although he doesn’t state this explicitly he sees “Cultural Marxism” as a conspiracy theory. An active conspiracy theory, at work in the here and now. As with most conspiracy ideas, little is said about who the conspirators are. Some vaguely-defined groups are held responsible. To my knowledge, any conspiracy needs some committee or other organization that has a definite plan. So I will leave it at that: CM is not a conspiracy.

So what is it? For most of the more regular users, especially in Europe, it describes the ideology of the (loony) left, the social justice warriors, etc. The core of CM is: There is great injustice and inequality in the world; many groups (“natives”, women, homosexuals, people of [black] color) are oppressed and exploited by… the white male. This should end, if necessary, with revolutionary violence. Each of these named groups have their own ideas, cultures, which are equal or even superior to the culture of the white man.

It is clear that these ideas have great influence and are put in to actual policies by the ruling class. The question is: Where did these ideas come from, why are they called “Cultural Marxism”, and why are they so influential?
In general, and Peter is no exception, the primary source of CM is thought to be the Frankfurter School, while many add Gramsci. What is interesting is that I haven’t found any article, with references to Frankfurter School authors, describing how this Cultural Marxism came about. The one thing I have found is that Martin Jay, the author of The Dialectical Imagination: A History of the Frankfurt School fell into a trap set by William Lind (also here towards the end). Note in the piece by Jay that there are certainly anti-Semitic issues with CM, as is usual for most world-scale conspiracy-theories.

The West Made Wild

The essay below was originally published the same day Fusilier Lee Rigby was beheaded on a London street back in May 2013. It appeared at LibertyGB, which is no longer extant.

The West Made Wild

by Michael Copeland
22 May 2013

The following article by Michael Copeland concerns the incalculable dangers to which governments have exposed British citizens by allowing into our midst huge numbers of strangers, neither knowing nor (apparently) caring which are violent criminals or dangerous terrorists. The article is especially pertinent in light of today’s atrocity in Woolwich.

Law and order, as we mostly assume, are achieved by legislation and law enforcement. It is not quite as simple as that, though. Observance of the law is not accomplished solely by those agencies: it is the product of consensus. We citizens are aware of the accepted norms and observe them by consensus for the sake of peaceful mutual coexistence. Most of our behaviour is governed by this understanding, by custom and practice, not by detailed knowledge of the law. It is this consensus, though, that has been destroyed — yes, not ‘lost’, but destroyed.

Governments in the West in recent years have encouraged and permitted the arrival of thousands and thousands and thousands of people from hugely different foreign cultures, including some cultures where carrying a weapon is normal. Some arrivals are of unknown criminal background, and most will, of course, be completely unfamiliar with our laws and customs. Quite a number speak no English. In addition, considerable though unascertainable numbers of entrants have arrived unlawfully and are living ‘under the radar’. By definition these are not law-abiding, nor are they citizens. As a result the consensus for observance of the law is eliminated. In effect governments in Europe have made the West into a sort of recreated Wild West. The level of law enforcement appropriate for the old consensus is not adequate for the new free-for-all.

We are less safe. Quality of life has been adversely affected. We know that. Perforce our response has been to adjust our behaviour to our own disadvantage, by reducing our expectations to a new lower standard. We do this and subconsciously adjust: the loss becomes normalised. Pensioners refrain from going out at night. Women are not safe on their own. Indigenous Britons refrain from setting foot in problem areas where they know they are likely to be assaulted. It is a loss of quality of life.

When Enoch Powell made the speeches for which the Left have ever since continually vilified him, the level of immigration giving him concern was 30,000. Later it grew. By 1978, when Mrs. Thatcher voiced her concern, it was half as much again and more. She said: “We must hold out the clear prospect of an end to immigration because at the moment it is about between 45,000 and 50,000 people coming in a year.”

Tory Leaders in Full Submission to Islam

Our Hungarian correspondent László sent the link to the video below, which was almost unbearable to watch. It shows a BBC program from June 18 in which five contenders for the office of prime minister of the UK from the “Conservative” Party address accusations of Islamophobia within the party. All of them except for Sajid Javid exhibit a cringing submission towards Islam, and the only reason Mr. Javid doesn’t cringe is that he is already a Muslim, so he doesn’t need to:

Since this program aired, Boris “BoJo” Johnson won the leadership contest for the party and will thus succeed Theresa May as prime minister. Mr. Johnson may or may not deliver Brexit in a timely fashion, but it’s quite clear that he will do nothing to roll back the Islamization of his country. No major political leader in the UK is willing to say anything against the Religion of Peace. The only man who might have the grit and determination to do the job is currently serving his latest prison sentence in Belmarsh.

László adds:

It was hard to find this video; I could only manage it with a direct search on BitChute. Because they actually erased the video from the entirety of the web they could reach, especially from the BBC website.

The reason for hiding it was of course the shame after this scandal, in which the imam featured by the BBC was discovered to have lost his job due to his anti-Jewish tweets.

I just wanted to see what Anne Marie Waters was talking about in the video Vlad had posted.

Ilhan Omar: Incest and Polyandry

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is not really incestuous or polyandrous — the alleged marriage to her brother was never more than a scam, presumably to advance his immigration status. Her main squeeze, whom she belatedly married, was not her husband when she falsely filed joint tax returns with him. So there was no bigamy, just plain old tax fraud.

For the rest of this post, readers are asked to mentally insert the word “alleged” in front of any description of a crime or potential crime. Except for the fraudulent tax returns — which are documented in the public record — Rep. Omar has not been convicted of any crime, so the “alleged”s are de rigueur. Nor has she been investigated for any of the other crimes, as far as I know. Since she is a Woke Woman of Color, and a Muslim to boot, she generally gets a free pass.

She has refused to answer any questions about her siblings, her marriage to her brother, or related matters. Her spokesbeings uniformly dismiss such questions as evidence of “bigotry” — even when they are asked by The Star-Tribune, the local Minneapolis paper that has served as her own unpaid PR firm from the inception of her career. Yes, even the earnest Progressives of the Strib are bigoted if they ask Saint Ilhan about her marriage to her brother.

The “bigotry” charge is, as usual, more than enough to deflect any serious media inquiries into the matter. Not that the MSM needs any real deflection — a Progressive Muslim woman of color is close enough to their idea of a perfect politician to ensure that they accept the Congressmuslima’s press releases as the gospel truth.

For the past three years three non-MSM people have been digging deeply into Ilhan Omar’s (or really, Ilhan Elmi’s) shady dealings. Two of them, Scott Johnson of Power Line and David Steinberg, formerly of PJM, have collaborated to do the investigative work that the “journalists” should have been doing, but haven’t.

Scott Johnson appeared on Tucker Carlson’s program to discuss the devastating information in David Steinberg’s latest report, which was published yesterday at Power Line:

The Men Lost Reason And Faith

It’s Poetry Day, and today’s featured poem is “The Gods of the Copybook Headings” by Rudyard Kipling. I’ve posted this poem at least twice before, most recently just two years ago. However, it’s worth revisiting for two reasons: (1) This is its centennial — it was written in 1919 — and (2) the dénouement outlined in the final two stanzas is that much closer to becoming a grim reality.

It’s a remarkable work. It was written at the dawn of the Socialist Age, after the Bolshevik Revolution but before the height of the Red Terror. The welfare states of the West were in their earliest phase, as were the Culture Wars, as exemplified by the emancipation of women. The poet refers to the confluence of these trends as the “brave new world” — more than a decade before Aldous Huxley borrowed the phrase from Shakespeare (The Tempest, Act V, Scene 1) as the title of his novel.

As we look back on “The Gods of the Copybook Headings” a century later, Mr. Kipling seems to have had an uncanny sense of the shape of things to come (to borrow a title from H.G. Wells, one of the renowned Progressives of his time).

Normally I don’t explain poetry, but a hundred years have passed since it was written, so a little context is in order. The underlying social fabric is that of the Edwardian era, which still ruled the British zeitgeist immediately after the Great War, even though George V was by then on the throne. The great changes that lay ahead in the twenties had already been mapped out by the fashionable intellectual preoccupations of the early 20th century.

A “copybook heading” was an inspirational adage or quote from literature that was written at the top of the page of a schoolboy’s notebook. He would be required to copy it repeatedly in order to improve both his penmanship and his character.

The Gods of the Copybook Headings are here contrasted with the Gods of the Market-Place. Rather than the modern economic meaning of the latter term, think of the agora — the central public space in a city-state where commerce, culture, ideas, and personalities meet and mix. The Gods of the Market-Place were thus the gods of fashions and fads, as opposed to the timeless wisdom and common sense of the Gods of the Copybook Headings.

Three specific fashionable trends are laid out in successive stanzas in the middle of the poem. The first is the disarmament movement, which was just getting up a head of steam after the end of the war. Pacifism became a major political force later on in the twenties and thirties, so much so that it inhibited British rearmament, and thus allowed Adolf Hitler to act out his ambitions more forthrightly than he might otherwise have been able to do.

The second trend was “Free Love”, which was intertwined with the early feminist movement. Sexual freedom was considered a major factor in the liberation of women from the shackles of tradition. The Bloomsbury Group and the Fabians were rife with libertinism, H.G. Wells being a notable example. The fashionable sexual ideas that developed among intellectuals in the Edwardian period spread throughout the culture in the ensuing decades.

The third trend was redistributive socialist governance. Modern socialism was in its infancy in 1919, but the Fabians once again had mapped out the process in advance. As the Labour Party took form in the 1920s, the Fabians and other upper-middle-class socialists looked to the Soviet Union for inspiration.

All of this was just getting started when Mr. Kipling wove it into his poem in 1919. And everything has unfolded as he described in the hundred years since. The same foolishness that was fashionable in 1919 is still fashionable in 2019 — only in a much more deranged and nihilistic form. The burned fool’s bandaged finger just keeps wobbling back to that fire, over and over again.

Rudyard Kipling did not include in his poem what has become the major accelerant of the collapse of Western Civilization: mass immigration from the Third World. But it may be implicit the lines “when we disarmed They sold us / and delivered us bound to our foe”. In this post-modern world we live in a hundred years later, our foe is being delivered to us in our bound and helpless state.

And now for the poem:

Tommy Robinson, Bellwethers and Belmarsh

Below is Seneca III’s more detailed report on Tommy Robinson’s new digs in southeast London.

Tommy Robinson, Bellwethers and Belmarsh

by Seneca III

There can be little doubt that whether he lives or dies, the Star Chamber prosecution and persecution of Tommy Robinson should become the iconic bellwether to lead us all out of these dark days. Hopefully, as far as his immediate safety is concerned, his imprisonment in Belmarsh Prison will be the deciding factor, possibly working in his favour because Belmarsh is not a single prison but actually four prisons within one.

The main unit is in fact two circumscribed units, a category ‘A’ High Security prison with another Ultra High Security unit inside which houses the most dangerous prisoners (it used to be known as the Guantanamo of the UK). Both the main and High Security units have very strict routines, high level structural design and seriously well-trained staff to prevent prisoners escaping or attacking guards or other prisoners.

Outside of the main building but still within the outer perimeter are two separate units — the HMP Isis Young Offenders Institute and a local prison. The function of the latter case is to accept and process different categories of prisoners from primarily the Central Criminal Court and Magistrates’ Courts in South-East London.

As far as Tommy’s safety goes, everything will depend on which unit he is assigned to, and to which regime. As he will be serving a sentence of circa ten weeks, it is unlikely that he will be moved to another prison within that time frame, and may spend it all in the internal local prison or within the security of the main unit.

Further on the upside, everybody is watching. Lord Pearson has written to the government demanding they explain what provisions are being made for TR’s safety. No doubt this will come out fairly soon, because the Government is desperate to keep a lid on the growing protests and corrosive anger of a significant percentage of the now-defenestrated long-heritage indigenous demographic.

There is also much to be read into the sentence itself and how and why it was determined by the judges — unsurprisingly it turned out to be a desperate compromise on the part of the Government and the Judiciary in order to try and dig themselves out of a hole of their own making. At the end of the day, whilst it satisfied nobody on either side of the ideological divide, sending him to Belmarsh may just have saved TR’s life by keeping him out of other loosely-controlled and poorly-managed lower-category institutions such as the one that nearly got him killed last time before his successful appeal released him to safety whilst awaiting his retrial.

All that said and done, this whole debacle has exposed the root cause of the situation we and TR find ourselves in, that cause being the unfettered immigration of barbarians, primitives and inherently backward criminal cultures and all the destructive ramifications thereof.

Welcome to Belmarsh, Tommy

(Note: The above is an image version of Matt’s poem. See this post for a text version.)

Tommy Robinson has been imprisoned in Her Majesty’s Prison at Belmarsh. According to Seneca III, “As far as Tommy’s safety goes everything will depend on which unit he is assigned to and to which regime. As he will be serving a sentence of circa ten weeks, it is unlikely that he will be moved to another prison within that time frame and may spend it in the local prison or within the security of the main unit.” Later today I’ll be posting a longer report by Seneca III on this and other aspects of Tommy’s incarceration.

The Middle East Forum, under the leadership of Daniel Pipes, funded Tommy’s legal defense. Here’s what the MEF wrote about the case today:

MEF Funds Tommy Robinson Defense… To No Avail

Philadelphia — July 12, 2019 — The Middle East Forum again helped citizen-journalist Tommy Robinson defend himself from charges arising from his reporting in March 2018 outside a courthouse where a Muslim rape gang was on trial.

Mr. Robinson has been sentenced to nine months in jail, the culmination of the UK Establishment’s dogged pursuit of an individual with the audacity to report on the UK’s epidemic of Muslim rape grooming gangs. Although found guilty of a civil infraction he has been placed in HMP Belmarsh, a notoriously violent prison sometimes known as the “jihadi training camp.”

In this latest round, Mr. Robinson is sentenced to jail for a technical violation of the UK’s Contempt of Court Act of 1981 that allows judges to postpone the reporting of trials. However, “Worse than being selectively enforced, the Contempt Act appears to be exclusively enforced against Tommy Robinson when it comes to reporting outside courthouses,” notes Marc Fink, the Forum’s Legal Project director. Indeed, according a UK media guide:

Filming parties to proceedings as they arrive and leave the court house is also technically forbidden but in practice this rule is not enforced e.g. pictures of defendants and witnesses arriving and leaving the Royal Courts of Justice or the ‘Old Bailey’ are commonly shown.

In May 2018, Mr. Robinson was arrested, tried, convicted, sentenced to 13 months prison, and jailed — all in the course of five hours. On August 1, Mr. Robinson won his appeal, with the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales denouncing “a fundamentally flawed process.” But the UK’s attorney general was undeterred, re-trying the case last week, this time putting on a better show trial.

Tommy Robinson Returns to Prison

Tommy Robinson has been sent to prison yet again. The latest sentence is six months. As I understand it, three months have also been added from the earlier suspended sentence. Minus time served, that makes (I think) four months. He is expected to serve half of that, so about two months. Which is more than enough time for Mohammed to finish him off.

I put together the collage for the banner at top of this post in September of 2011. That’s almost eight years ago. I don’t remember the details, but it must have been the first time Her Majesty’s Government bunged him into chokey on trumped-up charges. There have been several more since then.

Here’s a report from The Sun on the sentencing of Tommy Robinson.

Matt Bracken sends this excerpt from Politicalite:

JIHADI JAIL: Tommy Robinson Sent To Jail Dubbed ‘Jihadi Training Camp’

RIGHT-Wing activist Tommy Robinson has been sent to Belmarsh Prison that has been likened to a ‘Jihadi Training Camp’ following his 9-month sentence for reporting outside the court of a Muslim grooming gang trial last year.

Robinson, 36 was sentenced to nine months in total at London’s Old Bailey with many dubbing the jailing as a ‘sentence for journalism’.

This seems to be the live-stream of the sentencing.

The Daily Mail reports on the mass demonstration by Tommy’s supporters outside the Old Bailey.

One of my British contacts sent a tip about a White House petition that was set up to appeal for asylum for Tommy:

High-level moves are being tried over here, but, all good options have run out for him. This petition just happened to cross my desk today. It’s a fool’s errand, but, the numbers seem a PR embarrassment to you, too, don’t they?

And what keeps some people’s hearts ticking, literally, can depend on keeping them in the news.

Here’s what the petition says:

The New Czars of Europe

Paul Belien has published an essay today in The Telegraph about Charles Michel (the new President of the European Council) and Ursula von der Leyen (the new President of the European Commission). Below are some excerpts:

Meet Charles Michel, Belgium’s political scion hellbent on building an EU empire

by Paul Belien

The appointment of Ursula von der Leyen, the German Defence Minister, and Charles Michel, the Prime Minister of Belgium, at the helm in Brussels is good news for Brexiteers. Von der Leyen and Michel hate and despise Britain, with the same vigour as Ann Widdecombe and Nigel Farage fight the EU, and they have already indicated that they are eager to see the back of the UK as soon as possible.

Following the Brexit referendum, von der Leyen lambasted the Brits for having “paralysed” and “consistently blocked” the Eurocrats’ ambition to construct a “United States of Europe,” while Michel added that Brexit creates the opportunity for expanding the powers of the EU, “the most beautiful dream of the twenty-first century.”

Both Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel grew up in families of Eurocrats eager to create a European super-state. Both were born and raised in Belgium. 60-year old Ursula von der Leyen nee Albrecht is the daughter of Ernst Albrecht, a former Director-General of the European Commission in the 1950s and 60s and afterwards Prime Minister of the German state of Lower Saxony.

As Defence Minister, von der Leyen turned the Bundeswehr into a laughing stock. She had the German army squander money on several useless projects, including purchasing new assault rifles that cannot shoot straight in warm weather. The anecdote about the German soldier who, for lack of weapons during a NATO exercise, took a broomstick and painted it black is not a joke, but sad reality. She is also known for a Ph.D. thesis that contained several plagiarised paragraphs and for going against her own Christian Democratic Party by supporting adoption rights for same-sex couples.

Paradoxically, the appointment of LGBTQ+ activist von der Leyen was supported by conservative governments in Eastern Europe, such as Poland’s. This prompted German journalist Peter Grimm to suggest that “by rendering the German army largely incapable of fighting, she has somehow reassured countries that were once invaded by the Wehrmacht.”

Charles Michel is a product of blatant nepotism. He is the son of Louis Michel, who as former Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs and former European Commissioner was an outspoken advocate of annexing the entire Mediterranean basin, including North Africa and the Middle East, to the EU.

Tommy Robinson Appeals to President Trump for Political Asylum

In the following segment with Alex Jones on InfoWars, Tommy Robinson appeals for asylum in the USA. If he fails to be granted it, he will be sent to prison later this week, where he will almost certainly be killed by Muslim inmates.

There are three or four annoying commercial breaks interspersed between the segments that include Tommy, but you can fast-forward past them if (like me) you’re impatient to hear the rest of what Tommy has to say. I couldn’t find a version in which the commercials had been edited out.

One has to wonder why YouTube hasn’t removed all the mirrors of this clip:

Donald Trump is definitely aware of Tommy’s appeal, since it’s well known that the president (or his staff) monitors InfoWars. President Trump may be willing to insult Theresa May and stiff the British ambassador, but there is very little chance that he will cross the Brits by giving asylum to Tommy Robinson. Her Majesty’s government has made it quite clear that imprisoning Tommy Robinson is the highest state priority. I would expect that a quiet word has already been sent to the Trump administration through diplomatic channels, laying out the consequences should Mr. Trump be so bold as to help Tommy out.

Nevertheless, it’s important to spread the word about this. There’s really nothing else we can do at this point.

Ann Widdecomb Tells the BBC to Get Stuffed

Or words to that effect.

Yesterday I posted a brief clip of Ann Widdecomb’s remarks on the floor of the European Parliament. Ms. Widdecomb represents Southwest England for the Brexit Party, and stated forthrightly in her speech her reasons for being glad that the UK will be leaving the European Union.

The woke mandarins who run the BBC were appalled by Ms. Widdecomb’s doubleplus ungood statements, and invited her to be interviewed so they could revile her in an appropriate fashion. They sent the cutest and most clueless airheaded blond SJW in their stable (can I say that, or is it equinophobia?) to do the job. The interviewer stuck to the script, but in my opinion she got dumped out of her saddle and dragged by the stirrups down the steep and rocky hillside of Ms. Widdecomb’s rhetoric.

I hope we see a lot more of this admirable woman:
