Putin Punishes Russia’s Key Ally

While the world’s attention has been focused on Ukraine and Gaza, the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) has gone largely unremarked by the international press. Just a few weeks before Hamas launched its attack on Israel, Azerbaijan brutally attacked the Armenian enclave of Artsakh, subjecting it to the same sort of bestial atrocities that have gained international opprobrium when committed by Hamas. The plight of Armenians in Artsakh — who have a legitimate and ancient claim to the territory, unlike the “Palestinians” of Gaza — has gone largely unnoticed.

Putin Punishes Russia’s Key Ally

Oddly, few Western writers on the South Caucasus have ever grasped Christian Armenia’s significance as Russia’s only ally and military outpost among the region’s three countries.

Simply put: Were Russia to lose Armenia, the U.S./NATO/EU and pan-Turkism would inevitably dominate the Caucasus/Caspian and, perhaps, beyond. Putin understands this.

Georgia and Azerbaijan are, after all, headed away from Russia.

Though always under Russian pressure, Georgia is an unofficial NATO candidate with sizeable Western investments. NATO countries and Israel have been modernizing its military. Tbilisi is also the middleman for Baku’s gas/oil pipelines extending to Turkey and elsewhere.

Azerbaijan’s fossil fuel deposits, pipelines, and U.S./European commercial/economic ties are well-known.

Less talked about are the Aliyev autocracy’s pan-Turkic ideology; formal alliance with NATO’s Turkey; deployment of international terrorists; dependence on Israeli weapons / military prowess; and longtime backing by America’s Jewish lobby.

Elected ostensibly as a democratic reformist in 2018, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan grew friendlier with the West than had Yerevan’s previous leaders.

This enraged Putin. That is problematic: Armenia is dependent on its ally for gas, oil, the nuclear power plant, weapons, remittances from Armenians in Russia, and more. However, Pashinyan didn’t break with Moscow.

Nevertheless, Putin resolved to punish and humiliate Armenia to force it totally and irrevocably under Russian domination.

Punish and Humiliate

In 2020, Putin silently but indisputably greenlighted Azerbaijan, Turkey, international terrorists, and Israel to sledgehammer Christian Armenia and Armenian-populated Artsakh/Karabagh into submitting to Russia.

We know that near its borders Russia is extremely NATO-and-terrorist-phobic.

And yet:

In Azerbaijan’s 44-day war in 2020 (Sept. 27-Nov. 9) against Artsakh’s Armenians, Turkey openly delivered American-supplied F-16s, Bayraktar drones containing NATO parts, additional weapons, generals, troops, and several thousand jihadist terrorists to Azerbaijan.

Tellingly, the Kremlin was unruffled.

Moreover, Tel Aviv — the West’s friend, not Moscow’s — overtly resupplied Baku with hi-tech weapons.

The Kremlin, again, voiced no particular alarm.

Germany Wants the Wretched Refuse Thrown Out by Pakistan

A few weeks ago the government of Pakistan ordered all illegal Afghan migrants to leave the country by November 1. The decision was reportedly made as the result of an increase in suicide bombings carried out by these New Pakistanis (see this Remix News article).

The layers of irony in this story are so deep and rich that it’s difficult to do them justice.

To add further piquancy to the situation, Gutmenschen in Germany are now agitating for these puir wee Afghan bairns to be granted expedited admittance into the Federal Republic.

Pakistan throws them out: Asylum lobby wants to take in thousands of Afghans

Pakistan is serious! 1.73 million Afghans are being thrown out of the country. But most of them don’t want to go back to their homeland. In Germany, the asylum lobby is already taking a position and is demanding that migrants be admitted.

Against the background of threatened mass deportations from Pakistan, according to government figures, more than 200,000 Afghans have now left the South Asian country. The “repatriation process” is going smoothly, said the acting Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti to the German Press Agency on Saturday. The numbers related to the period of the past few weeks since the nuclear power announced that it wanted to deport refugees.

4.4 million Afghans in Pakistan

The interior ministry of Taliban-ruled Afghanistan reported that around 57,000 Afghans were “forcibly deported” from Friday evening to Saturday morning. According to Pakistani government figures, around 4.4 million Afghan refugees were currently living in Pakistan, 1.7 million of them without valid documents.

The Pro Asyl association is now demanding that Germany accept at-risk Afghans more quickly. “Many people had to flee to Pakistan because of the admission procedures in Germany and other countries,” explained Pro Asyl’s Afghanistan consultant, Alema Alema. “They were never safe there, and now their situation has become even worse.”

“Waiting costs human lives” [I assume what they really mean by this is that waiting will SAVE German Lives, and we can’t have that, now, can we?]

After the Taliban came to power in 2021, the Afghans and the Pakistani authorities were prepared for particularly threatened Afghans to only stay in Pakistan for a short period of time for the visa process, the NGO is quoted in Die Welt. The Foreign Office must finally ensure that they are brought out quickly. “Every day of waiting costs human lives.”

The Pentagon is conducting biological espionage in Iraq and Afghanistan and Ukraine is preparing an attack with biological weapons

“It has already been repeatedly pointed out that one of the tasks of the Pentagon is the so-called ‘biological espionage’, that is, the analysis of the epidemic situation along the borders of geopolitical opponents and in the expected regions of the deployment of military contingents.

“The Russian side has data confirming that the Pentagon has set tasks for monitoring the biological situation in the areas of Iraq and Afghanistan bordering China, Turkey, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

“The documents emphasize the need to place employees of Pentagon contractors in senior positions, and field work should be assigned to those local specialists capable of working with relevant ministries. At the same time, it is recommended that evidence pointing to the contractor be minimized by only making brief trips from the Dubai office to Afghanistan and Iraq when necessary.

“To avoid accusations against the Pentagon, some projects were carried out under the guise of the US State Department. We would like to draw your attention to the research program of the US State Department in Afghanistan: it included the study of the causative agents of particularly dangerous and economically important diseases, that is, tularemia, anthrax, foot and mouth disease, the collection of biological samples on the territory of the country and their transportation in the United States.”

SBU and the national police of Ukraine are preparing a biological weapons provocation to blame Russia for

“In 2023, the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU), which is the main intermediary distributing Pentagon grants, will resume operations in Kyiv. With funding from the US Agency for International Development and brokerage by STCU, biological threat response training was conducted at the Danila Halytsky University of National Medicine Lviv from August to September 2023.

“According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the training was attended by representatives of Ukrainian state authorities, including the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police, as well as employees of Western non-profit organizations.

“It is worth noting that the bird flu virus is currently considered the most intensively studied microorganism in high-security laboratories. It remains the focus of intense media attention, has the potential for species transition, and is highly lethal to humans. It is no coincidence that the use of this particular pathogenic biological agent was included in the training scenario.

The latest internecine convolutions of the British Marxist-Socialist-Muslim Party, known colloquially as the Labour Party, are a pleasure to watch. Today the media are slavering at the rumour that four Labour shadow cabinet members are on resignation watch over the senior leadership’s stance on Gaza.

It appears that the party is about to implode and eat itself in an ideological feeding frenzy after Sir Kneelalot Starmer appeared to back Israel’s cutting off of power and water to the baby-murdering terrorists in Gaza. This was followed by a meeting with Muslim MPs and other Hamas-loving members of Labour’s principle voting base, a meeting that is reported ‘‘to have made things worse”. All the usual Allahu Akhbar suspects involved, of course.

There are said to be four shadow cabinet members about to leave the front bench, but so far only three names have been mooted as below:

1.   Sarah Mei Li Owen, born 11 January 1983, is a British politician and trade unionist serving as Member of Parliament (MP) for Luton North since 2019. A member of the Labour Party, she has served as Shadow Minister for Local Government and Faith since October 2022 having previously served as Shadow Minister for Homelessness, Rough Sleeping and Faith in the same shadow department between December 2021 and October 2022. Owen is of mixed heritage and the first MP of South East Asian ancestry. She states that her “mother’s side of the family are Malaysian and a mix of Singaporean and Nonya with Chinese ancestors.”
2.   Rachel Louise Hopkins (born 30 March 1972) is a British politician who has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Luton South since 2019. A member of the Labour Party, she has been a Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office since 2021.

Hopkins was a Member of Luton Borough Council from 2011 to 2021, on which she served as Executive Member for Public Health. FYI, Luton, both North and South, is Tommy Robinson’s and the EDL’s home town, so no surprises there, either.]

Since the 2011 census, Luton has had a white British population of less than 50%, one of three towns in the United Kingdom along with Leicester and Slough; London likewise, but it is designated a city, not a town.

Consequently, Luton is a majority minority town in which no single ethnic group make up the majority of residents. However, by broad multi-ethnic groups, Whites make up 54.7% of the population, a decline of 25.5% from 1991 when Whites made up 4 out of every 5 residents (80.2%). Asian British people have grown in proportional size, having gone from 14% in 1991 to nearly one third of the town’s population (30%) in 2011. Black British residents have also increased from nearly 5% to nearly 10% in two decades as well as Mixed residents who have gone from 2.6% in 2001 to 4.1% in 2011.

The Gaza War — in Thailand

Quite unexpectedly there is widespread interest in the Gaza War. Thais aren’t much interested in international news. The news always opens (if appropriate) with royal news, important national news, usually less important local news, then the international news. The relationship between Thailand and Israel is okay. There is absolutely no religious animosity between the two. Not in favor and not against. The number of Jews/Israelis living in Thailand is minuscule. Fewer than 2,000 is what I could find. A lot more come to visit the beaches. Public interest in Israel is minimal. In the past wars between various Arab states and/or terrorist organizations vs. Israel were reported, but no more than that.

However, this time the ongoing Gaza war is the number one news story. With very good reason: 12 Thais have been killed, 11 were taken hostage and 25,000 are stuck, and can’t get home. About 5,000 of them work in the danger zone close to the Gaza strip. Yes, quite a lot of enterprising men and women work as guest laborers in Israel. The news reports about it 24 hours per day.

— just in: the Thai foreign ministry reports that 18 Thais are reported dead, 9 are injured, 11 have been taken hostage and 3,226 have asked for voluntary repatriation.

Prime minister Srettha Thavisin ordered the air force to prepare to evacuate those in need. Lockheed Hercules C 130 and Airbus A340 are prepared for evacuation missions. That’s a pretty fast response, one that I hadn’t expected. Given the number of possible evacuees and the distance, that has to be an air bridge of proportions. When it will take place, I have no idea. Or even if it will take place. Given the disproportion between Hamas and the IDF, the war is not going to last long.

Which brings me to my worries. Why on earth did Hamas start this war? And why so vile? Yes, I know mohammedans feel insulted by the Dirlewanger SS unit. Is that the most cruel military unit ever? We can do better than that! Isis, not that long ago, excelled at and relished inventing the most painful and cruel ways to kill… mohammedans. Burned alive, slowly crushed to death by a tank — that sort of thing. Those victims were mohammedans. Imagine what they do to anyone with a different faith, let alone the Jews? Yes, they are exactly doing that right now.

Hamas is supported by Iran. The can’t flush a toilet without permission from Tehran. The idea that they launched an attack to avenge something on their own is ludicrous. They were ordered to do so from Tehran. Okay, the attack was a big surprise. 9/11 for Israel, granted. But what will it achieve?

First of all, the wrath of Israel. The Gaza strip is now under siege. Electricity, gas, food and water are cut off. Nothing (apart from the IDF) goes in, nothing gets out. Netanyahu is highly controversial, but that is among Israelis themselves. He is a capable military leader, and doesn’t pussyfoot around. He is not known for that. In other words, something Hamas knows. Yet they still attacked.

Mass Shooting in Bangkok

As reported in the news feed, there was a deadly mass shooting at an upscale mall in Thailand earlier this week. Our Bangkok correspondent H. Numan has the report.

We had a mass shooting in Bangkok. It happened in Siam Paragon, an upscale shopping mall, on Monday afternoon. The worst is the perpetrator: a boy of fourteen years! Two people were killed; one of them was a Chinese tourist. Five people were severely injured. No religious involvement here.

This boy is upper-crust Thai. I’m definitely not a socialist, as regular readers know. But these kinds of events would turn me into one. He’ll spend at most a couple of weeks in a juvenile prison, if that. More likely in an expensive asylum. The kid had mental issues. He said voices in his head told him to do it. His parents have already asked the court to move him to such an institution, but the court denied it. So far. For how long is a different story.

Something you probably don’t know is how Thais raise their children. It’s different. Small children are given much more leeway than in the West. For example, if a family with a toddler visits someone, and the toddler soils the carpet, most people here won’t make a fuss about it. It happens. What can you expect from a toddler? Going to bed on time is also relative. It’s very common here to see little children up and about until very late in the evening. But when they are no longer little children that stops. Somewhere around the age of ten. By then they are expected to know how to behave properly, and to behave well.

Unless those kids are upper crust. They have and know no limits. I could write a book about misbehaving children among the Thai elites. Here’s a nice article. Chalerm Yubamrung was a highly corrupt police captain who used his wealth and influence in politics. He became vice premier. His youngest son shot a police sergeant in cold blood in a bar. Fled the country to Singapore. Was returned to Thailand accompanied by the Thai ambassador personally. Received a hero’s welcome organized by his father. Acquitted in court; there were no witnesses. People saw nothing, just portraits of the king (‘money’) everywhere. Long live the king! He wasn’t cashiered from the army, but resigned later on to join the police in Bangkok, where he serves right now. Imagine that: Hunter Biden shoots a FBI agent because he can, and later becomes an FBI officer himself. Kind of difficult.

Another case: Vorayuth Yoovidhya. The inheritor of the Red Bull fortune. He flattened a police officer with his Ferrari. Fled the scene. Fled the country. Had his lawyers find every loophole in the book. Returned to Thailand. Wasn’t arrested. Fled again, “police just missed him.” That case is still pending, and currently in the news because the crime is about to expire. All he has to do is stay outside of Thailand and wait. Not too difficult for a billionaire.

Back to the shooting. This boy was attending a very prestigious school, where pupils are groomed to become leaders of the country. Even though this boy seriously hurt tourism, he might very well become one. Time heals all wounds.

This mall is very popular among tourists, especially rich Chinese tourists. Asian tourists are notoriously careful. I recall a cancellation of a Thai group’s visit to Rio de Janeiro because there was turmoil in… Peru! About 1,500 miles down the road, but they cancelled anyway. Chinese are no different. The mall is open, but with far fewer visitors. That’s especially poignant as the Thai government waived visa fees for the Chinese to boost tourism, just days ago. It’s too soon to tell, but it will probably have an effect on Chinese tourism.

Tajik-Ukrainian “Refugees” on Trial in the Netherlands

Mujahideen (actually, a mujahid and a mujahidette) for the dreaded ISIS-K are on trial in the Netherlands. As it happens, they came to the country as Ukrainian “refugees” from Tajikistan.

Public Prosecutor: “Tajik was no refugee from Ukraine, but determined to commit an attack in Netherlands or Germany”

There was not yet a date or target, but Abdulsamal A., (29) from Tajikistan was “determined to commit an attack in the Netherlands or Germany. He posed as a refugee from Ukraine but in reality was head of a secret cell of the ISIS terror group,” according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Abdusamal himself said on Tuesday, at an interim hearing in the case at the court in Rotterdam that there was little truth to this. The man — slender, muscular, and with a thick, black beard — laid his head down on his arms in anger. His wife and co-suspect asked the court if she “could please go home to her children.”

The story of the Tajik, Abdusamal, and his 31-year-old wife, Gulzira M., is unusual. According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, A. initially went from Turkey to Syria to join ISIS, but that failed. The Turks deported him to Ukraine, after which he came from Kiev to the Netherlands together with his wife after the outbreak of the war there. Here he posed as a member of a Tajiki resistance group, was granted asylum in 2022, and moved into housing in Breda.

Report from secret service

In March of this year, the secret service, AIVD, sent a report to the police that A. was looking for money to buy weapons. Small pistols for a group of “brothers” in Germany who would reportedly use them to commit an “attack for Allah”. The police sent in an infiltrator and eavesdropped on him. On July 6, he and his wife were arrested. In Germany, at the same time, seven men from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan were arrested. They also “fled” from Ukraine and traveled to Germany.

According to the prosecution, A. was the head of a secret cell in Kiev of the ISKP, the Asian branch of the ISIS terror group. His task was reportedly to plan an attack in Europe. What is striking about this claim: part of it is based on information in 2019 from the Russian intelligence service, FSB. The same FSB that the Dutch security services have been at odds with in recent years. Nevertheless, the Prosecutor’s Office maintains that A. and the German-based suspects “were determined to commit an attack in the Netherlands or Germany.” As far as is known, there was as yet no date or target.

Telegram group “Martyrs of Islam”

A’s wife, Gulzira, is also reportedly a radical and helped the men. She was on the message service Telegram as “Martyrs for Islam” and had a document on her phone explaining how to cause explosions.

The suspects arrested in Germany are all still in custody. According to the German Bild newspaper, the Tajiks reportedly claimed to be war refugees from Ukraine, for which they used forged documents. One of the suspects was being housed in a refugee center.

The terror cell reportedly was in contact with the so-called Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP). This branch of ISIS is active in South and Central Asia, mainly in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The German (based) suspects had explored potential sites for an attack and were in possession of weapons, German prosecutors say. Most of them also collected money for the ISKP.

The document describes how female slaves who’d been given to IS fighters in should be treated if found to have contracted AIDS. Enslavement of these women and their forced marriages to IS fighters is considered normal and taken for granted. If testing shows they have AIDS, however, the marriages are dissolved, and the women are then married off to an IS fighter who likewise has AIDS. They can also be offered for ransom or killed if they refuse to become Muslims.

  • Over the last decades, Western European countries have opened their borders to untold thousands of unvetted migrants, many from Islamic societies whose moral codes are at complete odds with rule of law in Europe. Muslim men now prey regularly upon women of all ages across the continent. Under Islamic Law (sharia), sexual assault against infidel women is completely permissible.

The Taliban’s migration minister is charming. He wants to bring Afghan asylum seekers back from Germany — for money. If necessary, he wants to force the federal government to step on the accelerator on deportations. The minister comes up with a very special theory about reunification.

Kabul

Taliban Migration Minister Khalil Haqqani has offered to readmit Afghan asylum seekers from Germany. “We as the Islamic Emirate have set ourselves the goal of improving the living and working conditions of our residents so that we are attractive to well-educated migrants, they return and enrich our country,” he told the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. If Germany helps to improve the living situation in Afghanistan, “there is a good chance that the refugees will return to Afghanistan.”

He also demanded financial compensation from Berlin for the Bundeswehr’s Afghanistan mission and its consequences. “We will bring not only Germany, but all states in the international coalition before an international court to hold them accountable for the war. We want to force them to pay us compensation and help repatriate the refugees.” The Germans have a “moral and legal obligation” to support the Taliban government, emphasized Haqqani.

He also regretted the current poor relationship between Berlin and Kabul. Things were better before Germany took part in the war. The Germans and the Afghans are traditionally closely linked. “Was it not we, the Afghans, who made a significant contribution to German reunification with the victory over the Soviet Union?” asked Haqqani.

Koran: Read Chapter Nine

Read chapter nine of the Koran. This is important. The text is easily available online. The website corpus.quran.com shows parallel translations and has a “word by word” breakdown and other features.

Why is chapter nine important? It is because this is the final and latest “revelation” allegedly given to Mohammed, which overrides everything elsewhere.

Some background explanation is needed. The Koran is not arranged chronologically. The chapters are placed with the longest first and the shortest last. Accordingly, the subject matter jumps all over the place, and makes the book very confusing. About one fifth of it does not make sense and has to be “interpreted”. The language is archaic: even Arabic speakers find it difficult. Most Muslims, though, are not Arabic speakers. They are, however, instructed how to read the script, and are required only to memorise it and recite it, an action that is highly esteemed. Not required to understand what they recite, they depend on their imams to explain what it says. Imams are thus in a considerable position of control, and have for years made use of various lies, for instance the “perfect preservation” of the text (as proclaimed by Yaser Qadhi), when Islam’s own trusted sources record many historic changes.

An important aspect of the Koran is that all of it forms part of Islamic law. This is no light matter: Islam is not Pick-Your-Own. Koran 33:36 explains:

“It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision.”

Citing this verse, Dr. Salah as Sawy, who is Secretary General for the Assembly of Muslim Jurists in America (the Association of Lawyers for Sharia in America), gave this ruling:

“For things which have been stipulated in the texts of Islam, the Muslim community possesses no power except to acknowledge and obey…”

“Acknowledge and obey”: that is the instruction. Muslims have to submit. Islam means Submission. Submission, of course, is one end of a relationship. The real importance is in the other end — Control.


Syed Abul Al’a Maududi

“No one can regard any field of his affairs as personal and private”, wrote the revered scholar Maududi in his 1960 book The Islamic Law & Constitution. Islam is a system of control, “all-encompassing”, as Tariq Ramadan expressed it. “Islam Is The Perfect System For All Mankind”, announces a placard held by an unidentifiable niqab-clad Muslim woman.

Denying any verse of the Koran brings the death penalty. This may be carried out vigilante-style by anyone without legal repercussion, “since it is killing someone who deserves to die” (Manual of Islamic Law, Reliance of the Traveller, o8.4). In Islam your brother doubles as your executioner.

Abrogation

The text of the Koran contains statements which contradict each other. The way that Islamic teaching copes with this is by the doctrine of Abrogation. Under this doctrine the later revelation “abrogates” the earlier. For this it is necessary to know which chapters are later than which others. With chapter nine there is no problem. It is the latest complete chapter, and “abrogates” all previous texts that disagree with it. Esteemed scholar Sheikh Al-Shawkani (1759-1834) says:

“[The verses] about forgiving them [the unbelievers] are abrogated unanimously by the obligation of fighting in any case.”

The significance of chapter nine, the “Sura at Tawba”, is that it sets out Islam’s instruction of permanent hostility to non-Muslims, kafirs, involving their subjugation, extortion, or else killing. It also contains the justification for suicide bombing.

What’s important to note here is that the Diyanet (or “Directorate of Religious Affairs in Turkey”) is an official Turkish government institution whose sprawling Lanham, MD facility is Turkish government property. It is the Washington DC Metro area hub for Turkey’s Muslim Brotherhood regime collaboration with the ADAMS Center (All Dulles Area Muslim Society Center), located near Dulles Airport in Northern Virginia. The ADAMS Center is headed by senior Muslim Brotherhood imam and former president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Mohamed Magid, who is the son of Sudan’s former Grand Mufti. In 2022, Magid was appointed by the Biden White House to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. This is not ‘Islamism’. This is U.S. Federal Government-funded jihad.

Soltan is serving a life sentence in Egyptian prison, but recently penned a letter expressing supposed remorse for “the error of his ways”. Cardin and other Democratic colleagues have been urging that U.S. military aid to Egypt be conditioned on Soltan’s release from prison. None of them have taken note of Soltan’s vicious antisemitism or close support for the Muslim Brotherhood. Soltan is not an “Islamist”. He’s a devout, faithful, practicing Muslim jihadi.

The Reformation

The illustrious gentlemen in the photo above made the hijrah to Syria in the early days of the “Arab Spring” to volunteer for jihad in the path of Allah. It’s unlikely that they were motivated to do so for financial reasons — after all, the entity that eventually became known as the Islamic State was not renowned for paying its soldiers lavishly. Mind you, some of them may have been lured by the possibility of free chicks (and when the Yazidi and Christian communities were eventually overrun, they got their chance). However, we may presume that their primary motive was one of religious fervor. One thing that Islam is good at is ginning up fanatical zeal among its followers.

Fervent zeal is the product of reform within Islam, and that reformation has already occurred.

The current wave of Islamic zealotry may be traced to the formation of the Muslim Brotherhood (Al-Ikhwan al-Muslimeen) in 1928 in Egypt by Hassan al-Banna. The Brotherhood was formed to return Islam to its roots, but it was hardly the first such reform. Waves of fanaticism had occurred periodically before that, including the Sudanese Mahdiyya, which achieved notoriety in 1885 by slaughtering General Gordon in Khartoum.

Islam is prone to these periodic spasms of reformation due to the instructions laid down in its foundational texts. A righteous believer is required by those texts to fight against unbelievers and massacre or enslave all those who refuse to submit and convert to Islam. If he is killed while fighting jihad in the path of Allah, the believer is rewarded with access to the highest level of paradise, where he may partake of banquets and wine and lots more of those free chicks (or “young boys fresh as pearls”, according to his taste). If he survives the jihad, he may share the booty and slaves with his fellow mujahideen and enjoy the perquisites of the victor during his time here on Earth.

Most infidels don’t realize that when reform in Islam occurs, it looks exactly like what is commonly known as “Islamic extremism”. When Islam gets back to basics, it slits throats and subjugates women. It’s in the Koran! (See the Michael Copeland’s extensive compilations for more information about the scriptural basis for Islamic slaughter and brutality.)

I bring all this up because of insightful remarks made by a commenter named Jason on Friday’s post about reform in Islam:

There is a lot that can be said about reforming Islam, but there is one fact that most people seem to miss.

Islam is winning. You don’t reform winning strategies.

It is the losers that need to reform. That’s us.

He’s got a good point there. I’ve often said that the West is currently losing the struggle against the Great Jihad, not because Islam is more powerful or has superior strategies, but because we infidels have preemptively surrendered to it.

Since we have largely abandoned our Christianity, we have nothing left to fight back with. Once upon a time we responded to jihad by organizing the Crusades. Nowadays we heap up teddy bears and light candles.

When those who have a spiritual void within themselves go forth to do battle with righteous zealots, they will invariably lose, regardless of better technology or superior weaponry.

My intuition tells me that when the scimitar is at his throat, the average atheist will submit. It’s so easy just to say the shahada and go through the forms — that plus zakat is all that Islam requires. Yes, there are occasional atheists who are willing to put their lives on the line for their principles — Lars Vilks comes to mind — but they are rare.
