I’m in the midst of various overlapping crises at the moment, so posting may be reduced.

Most of the crises involve household appliances. Nothing dangerous or life-threatening, just time-consuming.

And then there’s the hurricane. We’ve been experiencing the outermost belts of rain from the system, and it was bucketing down here at Schloss Bodissey for a while this afternoon. There was a tornado watch for a few hours, but I never heard any thunder or saw any significant wind, just a lot of rain. (The photo at the top of this post is not local to me; it’s from Charlottesville.)

Even though rain is the only real issue, that alone may be enough to knock out my phone and internet, as has happened so many times in the past. The gremlins in the phone boxes must be hydrophobic, and abscond as soon as their feet get wet.

If that happens, this site will be idled yet again. Otherwise, you can expect a news feed tonight, at the very least.
