Paying For Their Own Demise

The following essay was written by the Swedish author Katerina Janouch. As a child living in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s she was called Kateřina Janouchová, but her name was shortened when her family moved to Scandinavia.

Ms. Janouch has lived in Sweden since the 1970s. She is the founder of Katerina Magasin. The following essay from her magazine was translated by Gary Fouse:

The Swedish people happily continue to pay for their own downfall

June 1, 2023

Which do you think is worse? Islamists who openly advance their positions and plan to install sharia law in the little country of Sweden? Or Swedes who allow it to happen and gladly contribute to their own downfall by supporting it with tax money? Muslims are determined and do what they think is right to gain world domination, one country at a time. But how in Hell can the Swede sell out his own country to an ideology that in the end, will enslave him, his children, and his people? Treason against one’s own people lacks precedent in world history, and it gets worse when politically correct people of culture feel that love of one’s own country is something negative that must be countered. Hello, Swedish people: do you see that Sweden is on the way to becoming a Scandinavian caliphate? Where will you go then if you don’t want to be forced to live under sharia law in your own country?

The newspaper Kvartal, after a tip from Medborgerligt Samling [political party], reveals that the large mosque that is now under construction in Skärholmen in southern Stockholm has close ties to the Islamist movement Milli Görüs. The tax money of the Swedish people is being greatly misused to make this building possible. The city of Stockholm has donated 13 million kronor from our general funds for this political temple, and it really makes you sick.

Instead of building gigantic mosques to subdue Sweden and the Swedish people and turn Sweden into a Muslim country, we should dismantle the progress of this invasive ideology. But no. The huge building is in progress, expected to be finished in 2025, and when it is ready, the mosque will be three stories high, have 2,500 square meters inside, and for calling out Islam sufficiently, two 63-meter-high minarets.

The website of the Skärholmen mosque makes no secret of the anti-Western message. It is explained there that the Western lifestyle is incompatible with Islam. The Western world is accused of putting base desires and pleasure over everything else. “The only principle that is clear and distinct for all Muslims is that sovereignty ultimately belongs to Allah (May His majesty be exalted), as it is expressed in Divine Law. The large majority of all Muslims, even in the most Westernized and modernized countries, would like to live according to sharia and have their own freedom and democracy based on their own understanding of this concept and ideal rather than how they are understood in this modern and post-modern Western country.” On the mosque’s website, you also find information that the majority of all Muslims want to have sharia law.

From Kvartal:

The then-housing minister, Mehmet Kaplan (Green Party), was forced to leave the government in 2016 due to his contacts with the two Turkish organizations, the Grey Wolves and Milli Görüs. In Malmö, Milli Görüs’ local organization has received contributions from the community for several years, and the local chairman sat for a term on the Social Committee as a representative of the Green Party. The organization cooperates in Malmö with the Study Association Ibn Rushd.

But is it now suddenly OK to build an enormous Milli Görüs-connected mosque and finance it with our Swedish tax money? Do they see it as “contributing to a diverse city environment”? This is where the authorities’ and politicians’ enormous betrayal of Sweden comes into the picture.

More from Kvartal:

When the Development Board in Stockholm hammered through 13.3 million kronor for land development for the mosque, Administrator Britta Eliasson wrote in the decision document from the community’s development office that the city, “sees the project positively as contributing to a diverse environment”. Under the heading, “How the project fulfills the city’s goals,” it says that it is not judged to “have a negative impact on children,” and that “questions about equality” were not considered.

Britta Eliasson thus sees that the mosque’s values on equality and democracy align with the city of Stockholm, from what the Kvartal article says. On that, Eliasson says this:

“I don’t know if anyone has made such judgments. When they began to build, in any case, we did a little research. The district administration experienced them as a positive force. Before Rasmus Paludan did his thing in Skärholmen, they mobilized to minimize the impact. When it comes to money, it is really hard to root out what sort of ownership there is in the background. We have seen nothing that we could not accept.”

Britta Eliasson thus sides with the Islamists when it comes to questions of freedom of expression. And she sees nothing that the city of Stockholm “cannot accept”. With friends like Eliasson, Sweden needs no enemies. Are our authorities really so naive and stupid? It’s almost like you wish that Britt Eliasson herself might get a taste of sharia. Unfortunately, the naïveté of these authorities is costing the Swedish people dearly. Sweden is distancing itself more from the Swedish Sweden it once was. Sharia Sweden, on the other hand, is clearly coming. Hold onto your hats and put on your burkas, ladies. I hope that you, Britta Eliasson, have one for yourself and for your female relatives.

The Muslims deserve credit for daring to plant their flag and stand up for that in which they believe. All warfare is based upon deception, and the Saracens use it like anyone else, but they are not the least bit shy or hesitant about proclaiming their beliefs and their devotion to them. Honesty, even in a would-be adversary, is in its own way, commendable.

When is the last time ordinary Swedes believed in anything transcendental or larger than themselves? Or for that matter, in their own birthright, heritage, nation and people? The question is an important one, because among many other reasons the Muslims are winning this “battle of civilizations” is that they have bedrock beliefs and the Swedes do not.

Granted, there must be individual members of Swedish society who belief in a higher power or something else transcendent, but that is beside the point. There are always exceptions and outliers.

This is a question of numbers, large ones…. and right now, the Swedes don’t have the numbers on their side. Muslims are noted for being quite fecund wherever they settle, and native Swedes are declining to reproduce in numbers sufficient to perpetuate their society. And as Mark Steyn famously said, “The future belongs to those who show up”…

Granted, I am not there in person, but from my vantage point here in North America, it looks as if Sweden has already fallen to the caliphate. The issue is no small importance to me, since I am half-Danish, and that small nation – Denmark, is but a short ferry ride or drive across the bridge over the sound between the two nations. And it looks as if tiny Denmark is next on the menu.

Sweden isn’t the only problem, either. Germany and Denmark share a border where Jutland attaches to the European landmass. And as Germany slowly but steadily becomes Islamic, it is probably inevitable that its neighbors will also begin to do the same. It seems that the European Union wasn’t just about making the transit of goods and services simpler and faster between member nations; it was also about moving people around too. The new arrivals don’t even need a passport… how convenient!

There is some fatal flaw or characteristic in the nature of Scandinavians and perhaps the Germans, too, since they come from common ancestry. There seems to be a weakness, a pathological level of compassion and empathy for others, but insufficiently strong regard for the self, for one’s own kind. Whatever it is, it seems to have rendered them defenseless against the slow-motion onslaught which has overtaken them.

The Slavic peoples – such as Katerina Janouch (Kateřina Janouchová) herself – seem to suffer less from this critical fissure or weakness than their neighbors to the north and east. Indeed, the Visegrad Four nations – Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary – are some of the nations of Europe which have most-resisted the Islamic invasion. What do they have that the Germans and Swedes do not? One answer appears to be Christianity, although I do not know if Ms. Janouch, nee Janouchová, is herself a Christian.

  2. Sweden is already finished. NATO will soon be controlled by Islam. How will that work?

    • Sara: Perhaps, Sweden joined NATO, thinking that doing so would save Sweden from itself, now that the country is severly undermined, perhaps irreversibly, its own security and sovereignity.

    • Probably not any better than it currently is.

NATO is a paper tiger since the member countries comprise it are themselves bad jokes when it comes to actually maintaining their militaries and producing weapons to arm them.

As a threat to other countries or the Russians, I don’t believe it will make any difference whether NATO is controlled by islamists. But if I lived in any of those NATO countries I would be very afraid of those militaries being turned against their own citizens. They’re still dangerous for firing on protesters.

Not many years ago, President Macron of France and his opposite number in Germany, then-Chancellor Angela Merkel – both of whom were/are stalwarts in the European globalist movement, met for an informal meeting over lunch or something along those lines.

One of the subjects discussed was the formation of an EU military “rapid-reaction force” not subordinate to NATO, but instead to the European Union in Brussels itself. Why should the member nations and their leaders need or want such a force? After all, didn’t the individual nations have military forces of their own, not to mention NATO forces themselves?

One cannot help but wonder: Who will those forces be used to suppress? Muslims rioting, burning, looting and otherwise causing mayhem across Europe…. or those opposed to them??

Given the declining popularity of globalism, maybe Merkel and Macron felt such forces would be needed to protect themselves from unhappy people in their respective countries.

Today, a number of years after that meeting, and now that NATO is firmly under control of the globalist oligarchs and the trans-national deep-state, no such forces need be formed. And if today NATO HQ has reservations, they won’t be there some years hence once Europe turns majority Islamic and more and more of the soldiers and cops are themselves Muslims.

        • Georgia, The funny thing is, the militaries of France and Germany just paid lip service to Merkel and Macron, they still haven’t made a move to integrate their armies in any way, shape or form. The armed forces of Europe will never let a foreigner to command them.

Once, years ago, NATO was a serious organization with a serious mission that it pursued with commitment and professionalism. Today, however, it is plainly evident that for many European nations, it is nothing more than a high-sounding jobs program. A place to stash surplus bodies with nothing else to do, and pay them generous wages and benefits not to cause trouble and to throw a nice parade in their dress uniforms once in a while to impress the higher-ups.

      • “As a threat to other countries or the Russians, I don’t believe it will make any difference whether NATO is controlled by islamists. Ditto.

Re: “Sweden is already finished. NATO will soon be controlled by Islam. How will that work?”

Good question… I’ve pondered that one myself on numerous occasions. France and Britain have ‘boomers, i.e., submarines capable of launching nuclear missiles. It is hard to imagine them sailing under the banner of Islam, but it looks more and more likely now that so much of Europe seems poised to become Muslim-dominated. That is, if all of it doesn’t go up in a maelstrom of total war between Russia and NATO before then.

    • Who realistically would they launch those nukes at?

Aside from issues of competency (islamic societies are not known for their ability to produce or maintain anything remotely technologically complex; no islamic-produced cars even), I would seriously doubt their ability to maintain such a complex machine as a nuclear missile submarine, or even the support equipment such as drydocks and repair depots.

So for the sake of discussion, islamists have functioning submarines armed with ICBMs. Which begs the question of just who they would target? If they had such strategic pieces of military equipment it would mean they already control everything worth controlling in the former continent known as Europe so no need to target anything there. Also, much of the islamic world is at least on cordial terms with Russia and China if not outright cooperative through the BRICS+ organization. Realistically the only worthy target would be the FUSA and I would welcome a nuclear strike on Mordor-on-the-Potomac and the largest population centers within the FUSA.

Realistically, by removing those population centers and DC, the USA would revert instantly to a conservative, religious, traditional morals and family values society.

      • Aside from the “Great Devil USA” there is also the “Small Devil Israel”.

So, I wouldnt be surprised, that when GB / France turn muslim that then there will be a few explosions and drive-by-shootings, bombs going off that a) sink the subs b) cripple the infrastructure to build and maintain nukes and c) kill the scientists and workers needed to build, maintain and operate nuclear weapons.

And yes, while it would be nice if the various Mordors (Washington, Berlin etc) would be sent to heaven in a flash, the repercussions (nuclear contamination), civil war etc are not nice to say the least.

Yes, firing the shot is easy, but afterwards, thats when it gets spicy and as Sun Tzu said: A dead person stays dead and a destroyed factory stays destroyed.” (Ok, he said something similiar, but I think you all understand)

    • Georgia, The fact that the militaries of Europe will never ever let the devil worshippers have nukes, that is the fact of the matter. Once the military decides to move? It will despite any political considerations.

While it is true that the Arab nations have not had notable success in the kind of advanced applied science (physics, chemistry, materials science, metallurgy, etc.) required to stand up and maintain advanced, nuclear-capable weapons, it is a mistake to believe that there are no Islamic nations capable of doing so.

If the Saudis, for example, wanted nukes, they’d probably have to buy them, and so on.

However, the Pakistanis managed to develop nuclear weapons – albeit with the aid of western nations too blinded by multiculturalism to see what they were doing, vis-a-vis letting the nuclear genie out of the bottle for the Muslims. The Turks are also quite good as scientists and engineers. They, too, are capable of such work.

Your question about submarines equipped with nukes is valid. However, just because there is no immediate pressing need for such weapons does not mean that they will not be developed anyway.

Many members of the nuclear club – even those who have no intentions of actually using these weapons – wish to possess them anyway as a bargaining chip and a deterrent against real or perceived enemies. Or simply for the prestige of having such weapons as ballistic missile submarines and nuclear-capable missiles for them.

Sometimes, these sorts of decisions are driven less by pragmatism and more by national pride and ego than anything. Once India got nukes, then the Pakistanis would move heaven-and-earth to get them, too. Once Britain had nuclear-weapons capable submarines, then France was going to get them, too. And so on.

As for nukes aimed at “Modor on the Potomac” as you term it, be careful what you wish for – you might just get it. Once that particular Pandora’s Box is opened, it is very difficult – if not impossible – to close.

    • While it’s true that the Pakistanis developed their own nukes, it wasn’t that spectacular of an achievement. The achievement worth crowing about was indigenous nuclear power and the means to enrich uranium to weapons grade. Oncena country can produce the materials, the physical design of a functional implosion-type device is not terribly challenging.

North Korea, and South Africa have also both developed simple implosion-type devices but the engineering required for a staged, megaton-yield nuclear device and the means to deliver it is beyond the ability of Pakistan and North Korea at present. South Africa wisely gave up their nuclear capabilities back in the 80s when it was obvious to the leadership that apartheid was almost over and they feared what could happen if atomic bombs fell into the hands of the ANC.

As to my original point that islamic societies are technologically backwards and cannot maintain advanced weapons systems, while it is true that the Saudis operate many advanced American weapons, they receive huge amounts of technical support, training in the US for operators, and lots of contractors in the kingdom to assist in keeping their weapons operational. If that was removed, they’d be hard-pressed to keep their fleet of advanced aircraft operational for very long even assuming they still had access to spare parts. The Iranians were another client state of the USA and had a similarly advanced suite of American weapons. After they were cut off from spare parts their ability to maintain all those F-14s atrophied to almost nothing even though they’ve managed to build centrifuges and the means to enrich uranium through a herculean effort over decades. Add to this the strange lack of indigenously produced cars or much else in the way of consumer goods (Turkiye is the exception here) and it says something about the fundamental limits of those societies.

I still believe that advanced weapons in the hands of islamists would have an extremely short shelf life unless they were to somehow compel or purchase westerners to keep them maintained and to actually operate them.

Furthermore I still maintain Mordor must be destroyed.

      “Ceterum censeo Mordorem esse delendam,”

Re: “I still believe that advanced weapons in the hands of islamists would have an extremely short shelf life unless they were to somehow compel or purchase westerners to keep them maintained and to actually operate them.”

I hope you are correct, of course. Competency added to their fanaticism would be a hazardous combination. I am somewhat less-sanguine than you seem to be, however, and here is why:

First, almost everything is for sale in the world today. The Sunni Arabs don’t have to have any great deal of competency to get nukes – or any competency whatsoever for that matter. They simply need to open the checkbook and the heretofore closed doors seem to open to them.

Consider the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, which lists as 2,722 feet tall and which is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is an impressive architectural achievement, one which is supposed to reflect upon desirable qualities to be found in the UAE generally and Dubai specifically – sophistication, high-tech, wealth, opulence, and so on.

The open secret however, to anyone who knows anything about how that part of the world works, is that almost none of the things which make the skyscraper unique or special are the product of Emiratis themselves. The vast majority of the architectural work and design was done by westerners, as was the bulk of the actual construction itself. The ultra-wealthy sheiks who funded it do not deign to get their hands dirty on such projects. That is for the infidels they hire to build the thing.

Granted, nukes and nuclear submarines are not mere skyscrapers, but the same principles apply. They’re wealthy beyond imagining, and as such, can buy darned near anything.

And let us not forget their new friends, the Chinese and perhaps the Russians. Despite western cliches that claim they don’t do high-tech very well, I think you’ll find plenty of qualified scientists, engineers and technicians in one or both nations who are more than capable of understanding our latest tech and either reverse-engineering it, or keeping it running.

Those billions of dollars of U.S. weapons abandoned in Afghanistan by Joe Biden and company are probably already long disassembled, and studied down to the detail. So much for our technological edge in those things! If the Pakistani ISI and the Turks didn’t do it or could not, then you can bet the Chinese or Russians can.

The conventional wisdom in the West says that nuclear non-proliferation and the controls upon fissile materials have worked to limit availability of these materials and other critical technologies. They therefore are available only for peaceful purposes and approved military-national security uses by members of the nuclear club. However, history tells us that such secrets are among the most-fleeting of all.

History also tells us that societies can weather the storms of war and strife, but that the threats posed by internal enemies, fifth columnists and traitors are far more difficult to escape. And unfortunately for the U.S. and the West, our societies are riven with moles, spies, agents of various adversaries, useful idiots, and those who wish our destruction.
And those who might draw the line at actively helping adversaries seem content to do business with them, and profit off of selling them our secrets and most-advanced tech.

I’ll leave you with an example: During the Air War over Korea, 1950-1953, American (USAF, USN, USMC) and allied pilots received a nasty shock upon encountering the Mikoyan Gurevich MIG-15 jet fighter, which proved to be a much more formidable adversary than anyone had expected. Its excellent performance was in part because of its advanced engine, based upon the Rolls-Royce Nene engine, then state-of-the-art in turbo-jet technology. The Soviets had expected to have to steal the secrets of these advance engines, but the British Labor government handed them over with a smile.

Maybe it is true that the Marxists really will get their enemies to sell them the rope they will use to hang us… that is, if we don’t hang ourselves first!

As long as turncoats and opportunists, simple dupes and “useful idiots” of this sort remain in such plentiful supply here in the West, we have no cause for complacency or feelings of smugness about the Arabs, or anyone else for that matter.
